[IC] Mission: Shadow of the Warrior

Bane looked at the food Megumi had made and said "Guess I'll get this laid out..."

Megumi was still crying silently, the masked Ninja from the temple hiding in the trees. He looked sadly at her, sighing. "If only this was the only grief you would feel...but your life will only get harder now, little wolf..."

James frowned as he found her, seeing her crying. He quietly walked up behind her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Megumi, I have some news. Some good, some bad...depends on your opinion of it..." He was actually kind of hoping to get her mind off of her father's death, even if it's only for a couple minutes.

She wiped her eyes and asked "What is it..." She looked up at him then turned sharply, sensing someone watching them. "We aren't alone..." The masked Ninja moved back, a little surprised her senses were aware enough to sense him

"I know. He's been here the whole time. If he was a threat he would have killed us when he first got here, not been watching us for awhile." James looked in the direction of the masked ninja. "After all, being in tune with nature as I am, I can sense everything. So you may as well come out, whoever you are."

The ninja jumped down and bowed his head. "I beg pardon. I didn't wish to bother in this time of morning. I wanted to make sure Lady Megumi was alright"

James nodded. "No point in hiding though. After all, my connection to nature allows me to sense everything. It's a lot weaker without sage mode, but I'm still a sensor either way."

The ninja didn't move, just looked at Megumi. It was almost like that's all he saw, not even seeing James there. Megumi took a step forward and asked "Why did you help me in the temple...?" The ninja said "I've been aiding you since you were very small...and always will until the day you don't need me anymore"

James just watched them, but kept a hand on his weapon pouch just in case. He may not sense any ill intentions from the guy but that doesn't mean he wasn't gonna be careful.

Megumi frowned and said "Then what did you do to Bane?" The ninja sighed and said "That doesn't concern you, little shadow..." Megumi was suddenly in front of him and pinned him to the tree, a shurkin at his neck. "Only my Father called me that...don't lie to me...you know more about this then you're saying so talk!" The ninja looked at her, not phased by the out burst. "You so full of anger and hate...its not a new feeling for you, losing someone. You can't remember how to deal with loss or being alone...you were never very good with dealing with your feelings..." Megumi stared at him, her whole body shaking as she moved back, dropping the blade. The masked ninja moved forward and said "You can't be blinded by revenge, Megumi...your father isn't that kind of a man..." Megumi swayed and said "isn't? Don't you mean wasn't..." The ninja shook his head and Megumi's head spun, the whole day hitting her at once causing her to get dizzy.

James rushed over to her, helping her stay up as soon as he saw her getting dizzy as he glared at the man, before channeling chakra in the bottom of his foot before using it to set up a privacy seal that suddenly spread over the room. "Explain. What the hell are you talking about?" he asked.

Megumi was breathing hard as the Ninja said "This is not the place nor the time to talk of such things...all you need to know is that you must go north, heading to the village in the snow. that's where you will start to find your answers. All three of you have a long mission ahead of you..." The door opened outside and Bane looked out, seeing the ninja. "What the heck!? You guys that's the guy from..." The ninja looked at him and as his one good eye glowed so did Bane's, making him fall against the wall and slid down it.

James facepalmed when Bane was knocked out. "Idiot. Even I know not to look any enemy ninja in the eyes...at least we found why there's the blank spot in his memories..." He looked at the masked ninja again. "I advise you either start explaining or get out before I show you exactly why before my clan was wiped out we were called the Hunters of the Forest."

[MegaraFoxfire]

The ninja looked back at James and said "Your partner wasn't knocked out...his been entranced by me to keep his mouth shut about what he knows about me...this will ever time he sees me or tries to think or speak of me..." He moved forward and said "I told you what you need to do. Get Megumi back to her true home...and to figure that out you must start in the Village Hidden in the Snow. Your answers will start there..." He looked back at bane and said "I am sorry I had to do this to him...but to keep all three of you safe, no one can know I'm here helping...if you decide to go, just leave a white cloth tied to the tree...I'll see it" Then he vanished, a leaf falling to the ground. Megumi looked at the leaf and muttered "A leaf clone...pretty impressive..."

"That is impressive...must take an insane amount of chakra control for that," James said. Then he looked over at Bane and rolled his eyes. "Whatever he put on him is probably eye-based since his eyes glowed...meh. Not my problem since I suck at Genjutsu unless it's made through seals."

[MegaraFoxfire]

Megumi looked at James and said "Not your problem? his your partner isn't he? Or are you just using him to get what you want?" She moved from him, frowning. "Is this just another mission to you? Or just a way to keep from being bored? Cause I really don't need your help if that's all this is to you! These men killed my father! And your acting like its not a big deal?!"

James frowned. "I wasn't being serious. I just can't help him out of the trance because not only do I not know how exactly the ability works to put him in a trance, but even if it is genjutsu-based, it seems similar to the Kotoamatsukami but with a few additions, meaning not only will it be extremely hard for him to remember that masked ninja, but there's no way to break him out of it since it messes directly with his mind instead of working like most do."

[MegaraFoxfire]

Megumi stopped, relizing her mistake. "Oh...right...I'm sorry James...I just..." She looked at her feet and said "I don't know what to do...I feel so lost right now...nothing makes sense..." She held her head, starting to feel light headed again.

James sighed. "It's fine. But you should go rest, and I'll get this idiot to bed, since knowing him he's not waking up until tomorrow, and we can decide where we're going then."

Megumi nodded then said "maybe..." She went over to Bane and knelt down by him and made a hand sign. "Shadow style, voice of the shadows jitsu" Suddenly humming could be heard and the shadows moved around the pair. After a few moments Bane stirred and the glow faded from his eyes. He fell to the side and Megumi caught him, smiling weakly. "bane? Bane are you alright?" Bane moaned and opened his eyes, looking at them both. "What...what happened...how did I get how here..."

James looked at Bane. "Try not to remember too much. You'll only give yourself a headache and pass out again. Whatever that guy did was powerful, and from what I've read, the effects are similar to Kotoamatsukami, meaning there's probably no way to break it."
