[IC] Mission: Shadow of the Warrior

She nodded and lead them forward, looking troubled. After a while Megumi landed by a river, a cave nearby. It was hidden in a clearing surrounded by huge thick trees. She looked back and said "How is he?" Bane was pale, his breathing shallow.

James carefully laid down Bane. "He'll live. He just used up too much Chakra. Luckily, his chakra will recover with time. For now we should rest though. You look tired out."

[MegaraFoxfire]

Megumi nodded and sat down,looking at Bane. "I am...I dudn think they would come after me so hard...why are they doing this?" Bane moaned in his sleep, beads of sweat running down his face

James sighed. "He said there was something sealed inside you," he said, looking at Megumi. "Which either means you're a jinchuriki, or there's something else sealed inside you."

[MegaraFoxfire]

Her mood changed sharply when he said that. Her whole body stiffened and tensed up. She moved away from him, her back to him. "He is mistaken....there's nothing seal inside me..."

James sighed. "Whatever the situation is, I won't ask. I just do the job I'm given. I don't bother poking into the business of the one I'm protecting."

[MegaraFoxfire]

She moved away and said "ill get some fire wood..." She vanished. Bane moaned and turned his head, fighting to open his eyes

James looked at Bane. "Stay still. Don't strain yourself. You used up too much Chakra, and need to rest."

[MegaraFoxfire]

Bane opened his eyes slowly and tried to sit up. "Where is megumi? How long was I out?"

[arowne97]

"She went to get firewood. And you've been out ever since I used a summoning scroll to transport both of you to me."

[MegaraFoxfire]

Bane held his head, feeling dizzy. "Those guys weren't run of the mill James...what the heck are we dealing with...don't sugar coat it what is going on?"

[arowne97]

"These guys are assassins-for-hire. I can tell by the way they move, because I used to be one. It's the reason I never talk about my past. They're after Megumi because apparently there's something sealed inside her. She's not a jinchuriki, because it's not a tailed beast, but we should be cautious at all times. They're still hunting us. I managed to transport you both to me using a summoning scroll, but that scroll had a one-time use, so I set it up as a trap now. They'll probably try to use it to figure out where I went, so it's set to explode if someone moves it."

Bane smiled and said "I knew I could count on you...its why I knew I could use Time Traveler...James, there's something else. That thing that might be inside of Megumi...do you think we can trust it?" Megumi was hiding in the shadows, holding firewood. She had tears running down her face.

James nodded. "The beast inside of me is saying that we can," he said. "I'll go find Megumi. You rest for now. You'll need your chakra to be replenished if they find us." He activated his special Kekkei Genkai that allowed him to see any living things as a strange mist, while everything else was blacked out.

Bane nodded and leaned back against the tree, closing his eyes. Megumi was a dozen yards away, leaning against a tree and tears running silently down her face

James made his way over there, crouching down beside her, lightly placing a hand on her shoulder as if to try and help comfort her a little. He couldn't stand seeing a girl cry.

She released her shadow jitsu and looked up at him. "I'm sorry...I just...no one has ever said they trust me knowing I have something inside of me..."

James held out his hand to help her up. "Come on. Let's get back to the cave. Can't trust Bane on his own anyways."

She took his hand and stood then said "what can Bane do exactly?"

James looked at her. "Depends on what you mean by that. If you're asking what he can do right now, well, he'll try to get up and do something stupid, and probably end up hurting himself."
