You are the last surviving member of your race/species, or perhaps some other highly important individual. You are placed in a hidden location where you are left alone by your guardians, and they leave you, knowing you are safe from their enemy. They leave to their deaths in a final important battle of their lives, but not before begging you to watch over the ruins and guard with every ounce of your soul. You choose your character race, archetype, and occupation. . . eventually you'll have power over your lairs, and they will eventually grow. You awaken years, perhaps a whole century or more later, and you are attacked by a warrior, whom you easily kill. . . you have an unknown time limit to explore your ruins/lair, and build on it, explore it, perhaps make new friends, and then enter into a deep slumber.

You constantly repeat the cycle of your slumber, battles and improving your lairs, until you mysteriously meet each other, possibly through magical portals, tunnels, or both.

Character Name: (This is all that you remember about your'self)
Character Attributes:
Character Race: (Are you Human, An Elf? A Demi god? A Ghost or something?)
Character Archetype: (Are you a Harbinger of Darkness, an Eldritch Abomination, some kind of Apocalyptic Deity or something?)
Character Occupation: (You could be a Mage, a Warrior, A Lich/Necromancer perhaps)
Notoriety Points: (Sort of like an Evil Karma meter. It goes up whether you're bad or not based on certain actions. Just defending yourself successfully from world renowned heroes who want to kill you and save the world can cause this to rise).
Legend Points: (This goes up for thinking outside of the box. You can spare an enemy and develop a kind of reputation for having your own personal code of honor, you can do impressive things with your Lair, you can subdue certain enemies that would cause your Legend Points to rise instead of your Notoriety. (Although sometimes both can rise up at the same time. If you gain heroic figures as your right hand man, or otherwise some kind of subordinate, you can gain Legend Points. Epic romances and many other things all contribute to your Legend Score.).
Fate Score: (This goes up not just for doing things, but for doing things successfully. If you aren't up to performing challenges seemingly impossible even for you, you can avoid raising your Fate Score the normal way by being wily and clever. You can manipulate powerful figures into working for you, somehow acquire immensely powerful relics, etcetera. Fate Scores allow you to perform epic feats with surprisingly little effort).
Appearance:
Ruins/Lair Name: (I'd prefer many Lairs to be Medieval or Fantasy-esque, but a Post Apocalyptic laboratory or something Fallout like is okay too. As for your actual names, try to come up with something dramatic, but if you have a more "modern" kind of lair that's kind of like the Sierra Madre from Fallout, or a Town like Silent Hill, that's okay)).

Character Name: Ludrix
Character Attributes:

Character Race: Immortal Human
Character Archetype: Lonely Genius
Character Occupation: Alchemist
Notoriety Points: 0
Legend Points: 0
Fate Score: 0
Appearance:
Ruins/Lair Name:

Ludrix's lair is a tower that rises up through the clouds and has a view capable of seeing for miles of solitude in all directions. It appears to be located in the middle of a once great city which had been taken out by an unspeakable power of some sort. All evidence of any name or history of this city, and by extension the tower, has been erased. While Ludrix usually has the whole city to himself, he rarely leaves his tower. In part due to how busy he is with research whenever he is awake, and also due the fact that the city carries an ominous nature about it that he is unnerved by at times.

The tower itself is well-kept most of the time, and has a very Gothic appearance to it. With gargoyle statues, suits of armor set up, and the halls paved with red carpet, it seems like how a rich noble would live.

However, in the deepest reaches of the basement of the tower is where Ludrix has added his own personal style on things.

It appears as a gigantic library with books on all sorts of strange topics from summoning demonic entities, creating weapons or medicines, books with the details of the human body and anatomy, and even cookbooks. There is a large cauldron in the back of the room, and many vials and test tubes surrounding tables which are colored white with the messy papers and documents scattered around. It's here that Ludrix continues his research on the subject of Alchemy, and where he spends more time than anywhere else in the tower.

Over time, the boy has decided on his own name for the tower and the city it takes the center of. Grimlark tower, and by extension that makes the city that of the "Ruined City of Grimlark". Ludrix thought it had a nice ring to it, and takes meaning from the two words in the name. Ludrix thought the landmark stood as a beacon of a faint hope; that while grim, a new sun may one day rise on the ruined city he resides in.

Character Attributes are just the following three sections to fill out. Note that, you're Tower will likely only have about six levels to it.
You're level one Bosses.

Character Name: Angelo de Ortega
Character Attributes:
Character Race: Angel
Character Archetype: An Angel that protects sacred ground for the very well being of earth
Character Occupation: a warrior priest
Notoriety Points: 1 towards good?
Legend Points: 0
Fate Score: 0
Appearance: except with black hair and emerald eyes, his weapons are two swords one being named hells welcoming: and the other being known as Angels mercy
Ruins/Lair Name: (this is the lair, the only known access points are either to fly their or to run on the chain bridges connecting it to the land) this lair is known as "ancients gateway"

Angelo lair rises in the clouds but is chained to the earth just like himself he has lost his way and does not know how to find where he belonged but the land that he has claimed is sacred as it rises above the clouds but it contributes to the very earths survival of balance with innocents and taint and if this lair was tainted then the world would follow but if maintained by Angelo then the world will be safe. Angelo has found this lair and has claimed it calling it the Ancients gateway for if someone is able to beat him then they have earned gods favor and will be given great fortune in their life and if not they will be sent to hell for the attempt. Angelo has fallen to the earth and is unable to leave it until he can earn gods favor and so he took a lair and kills any who dares sully his name or the lords he worships he believes in a honorable fight and will grant the looser a chance to leave if they have proven their strength to him but Angelo well kill those that try to fight despite losing, he can't stand idiots trying to kill him because of their pride instead of going home to live another day. Angelo believes that a great fighter should not die for loosing and should simply go and get stronger but he will not think twice about killing rise that don't accept his mercy he warns all those that dare enter the holy place before they are thrown into a confrontation, however as an Angel Angelo cant hurt children for his principles and morals would let him harm and innocent child just for getting to his home and in fact Angelo will children in his sanctuary for an amount of time before he must make the children leave, as much as he would wish to protect the children he must protect the sanctuary more so.

Angelo believes in his code of honor and of the judgment of the lord is within his blades all damned souls will be claimed by hells welcoming and be sent to hell where they belong while a pure soul he will kill with gods mercy and send them to the eternal paradise. Angels who have been kicked out of heaven for some reason or another are only given the choices to be a part of the earth or to go below and serve the devil himself as a hell angel and Angelo would never do that and instead he chose to wander and instead he found the very lair he now resides and sees the blessing of the lord that protects it and if it were smeared with the pressence of the unworthy then the very world would be tainted, Angelo protects the very lair religiously and kills those that make the attempt to stay past his warnings. Angelo mercilessly kills the wicked that cross his path, while his wings do not glow with heavens light he can still fly through the air of earth to kill the demons in human skin while letting the innocents go free

((hope it works))

Too morally clear. He can be an angel of some sort with much better morals than other JRPG final bosses, but he can't be that good.

Okay, I think I have the basics of my character down.

His lair is underground, with huge facilities, research centres, hospitals for minions, etc. On the surface though, it looks like a medieval fort where the villain resides. He's an undead knight with a sword and shield.

Except he ain't good like a knight.

He might have a code of honour, challenging those deemed 'worthy' to one on one duels and waiting for those knocked down to get up to fight them, but he's still evil. His ultimate plan is world destruction. Or world domination. Or something.

You don't have plans or goals yet in the first turn or two.

That's antihero/hero territory, not straight up villain.
