The year, 2260. A mere century ago, the world became privy to the knowledge of magic. For a lone, rouge magus, fearing a sealing designation, had conducted a ritual that dispersed his own magical circuits as a virus, allowing for magical ability of feasible worth to crop up not just amongst the known noble magus families, but upon anyone.
Naturally, magi were up in alarm, fearing this change would spell the doom of their ilk.
However, this proved not the case. In fact, It proved even more beneficial. As within ten years, people so notable cropped up that for the first time since ages of legend, new heroic spirits were born. In addition the influx of new magi, allowed for the study of magecraft to reach never before seen heights, and artifacts once believed lost forever for lack of the power to retrieve them, deemed recoverable with the new magi's aid. But such things always breed conflict, and in time, wars such as those fought over the holy grail began again.

One such war, is where on story is set.

Upon The fields of Veilleur, Neo france.

A war of Magi had raged here for decades, heroes from the of the past, called forth from the world’s eternal record as servants to fight upon the command of their masters, to obtain the prize of the ultimate book of spells, the Almeran codex.

Until now, the contest had always ended in a standstill, with no clear winner to claim the prize, due to death, disease, or even being judged unworthy by the codex itself. However, now..the codex itself has begun to resonate, granting a piece of it’s nearly unlimited power to the magi participating in the battle.

Allowing for the most powerful of beings to be called forth for this, the Neo-grail war!

Welcome to the neo grail war, a fate stay night based rp, In an original, futuristic magic-cyberpunk setting.

Set in the future france of the natsuverse, this rp will detail the events of a grail war over a spellbook of immense power.

The rules, simple. Seven sets of mages and heroes begin the war. And through any means needed, only one can remain at it’s end.
But beware, for not all is as it seems. The prize, although grand is not without it's own whims..and the victors may not quite feel so victorious when their time arrives..

Rules
1. Spamming, Advertising, Bots, Flaming, Harassment; etc.

Don't. Simple enough, right? Everybody here is expected to know how to behave on the internet.


2. Report Issues

Reporting a person or bot will bring the issue to us privately, where we will deal with it from there. We are not going to patrol the forum looking for baddies to ban. I believe that our community can weed out its own issues by simply pressing the report button. If you report, then I'm sure the site admins will notify myself so I can deal with it.
DO Report:

- Advertisers
- People that are extensively flaming.
- People that don't belong in your thread.
- People that obviously aren't here to be a member of the community.
- People disrespecting staff authority.
- Anyone breaking rule number one

What probably doesn't need to be reported:
- People disagreeing with you.

We understand that you don't want to be babysat, but we DO want to ensure that you have a good experience here. Sometimes you just need to ignore other users.

Don't worry about reporting something that you're not sure breaks any rules or not. There can sometimes be a grey area, and by bringing these to our attention you can help us spot users that may be more problematic in the future or point out rules that we may need to adjust or even establish.

Servant CS
Class: Heroic Spirits summoned by the Holy Grail are place into one of seven classes. The seven standard classes are Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker.
Saber: Servants placed within this class are agile and powerful melee warriors. It is commonly assumed to be the best class overall, with high ratings in all categories. It is one of the three Knight classes, together with Lancer and Archer and also possesses the Riding skill like the Rider class.
Lancer: Servants placed within this class are very agile and skilled with long-range melee weapons, such as spears, lances, etc. It is one of the three Knight classes, together with Archer and Saber.
Archer: Servants placed within this class are usually proficient with projectiles and can survive longer without a Master nearby, thanks to their special ability Independent Action; the strongest Archers can be difficult to control at times, in fact, due to their near-total independence from their "Masters". It is one of the three Knight classes, together with Lancer and Saber.
Rider: Servants placed within this class place emphasis upon speed and powerful Noble Phantasms, which often include their mounts. Their special skill is Riding, which allows them to fully utilize abilities of their mounts (which can range from simple horses to mechanical vehicles to divine or supernatural creatures.).
Caster: Servants placed within this class are adept in magecraft and have a special ability akin to Reality Marble, called Territory Creation, which alters or creates space around them to enhance their sorcery.
Assassin: Within the Fuyuki Holy Grail War, Servants placed within this class are always, as a rule, one of the 19 Hassan i Sabbah, the leaders of the clan of the Hashshashins who passed their name down. The Assassin in Fate/stay night summoned by Caster is an exception, an aberration in the system, as he was summoned by another Servant. This rule comes from how the word "assassin" itself finds its etymological roots in that clan. This rule is not present in the Moon Cell Holy Grail War and Great Holy Grail War, allowing for those known to be specialized killers to be summoned. The Assassins' special ability is Presence Concealment, which allows them to remain undetected. Offset by their stealth is their weak combat skills. Due to this, Assassins often target Masters instead of Servants.
Berserker: Servants placed within this class are always heroes who have gone berserk in their lifetime. This trait allows them to use the special ability Mad Enhancement, which trades their consciousness (i.e. sanity) for a large power boost. Most Masters are incapable of controlling their Servant once Mad Enhancement has been activated, which eventually results in their death.
Alternate Classes: same as above, but detailing what your servant would be, if preferred choice is taken.

Noble phantasms are "crystallized mysteries", armaments made using the imagination of humans as their core, and weapons or abilities owned by Heroic Spirits. They are the embodiment of the ultimate mysteries of a hero that symbolizes his existence through historical facts and anecdotes. They can be general weapons, such as swords, lances, and bows, or support items, such as rings and crowns. They can also be abstract concepts, like abilities, curses, and changes to the environment and its physical properties. Noble Phantasms are considered to be a Servant's trump card and are activated by channeling prana into them and releasing their true names. This can only be done by their true owners.

I should have noted before, fictional heroes are usable, so long as they have some base from an actual legend, as are Original servants, given the background info stating new heroic spirits came to be in the rp storyline.

Further more, when confronted by Jacques's adopted father on these charges, the rouge killed him without a second thought, and burned out Jacques left eye when he tried to intervene. Feeling guilty for not seeing his apprentice's madness beforehand, and seeking vengeance;Jacques personally persued the man for five long years, until finally catching him upon the fields now bearing his family name. fatally wounding him with his jewel magecraft. And using half the stolen circuits, cursed Jacques with an unaging, yet constantly suffering body. Then committed the fateful act that began a new age of history.
