Maele recoiled in shock when Jay's face appeared among the stars. How could...? Matt, rustling through the tent, pulled out a shadowy figure that Maele realised was the corpse of their former friend.
She choked. "We can't just leave her lying there." Despite the fact that she knew a hovercraft would be sent for the body, Maele scrambled over to a bare patch of ground, and by the dying light of day and the glow of the fire, started scrabbling in the sand and dirt. Digging a hole big enough would take forever, but in that moment, she didn't care. Jay was the first tribute killed that Maele had even slightly known; her death brought home the true hopelessness of their situation.

Blossom saw Maele was shocked at Jay's death and jumped down from the tree, "We should cover her in flowers to show the capitol she was not a piece of their games, we have to show what she means to the capitol" Blossom went off to find some wild flowers, but had heard a rustling and turned to the sound and got ready in a battle stance for what was too come, suddenly two big people came out of nowhere, 'Two careers' she thought and shouted for help as she got her Short sword out but as she began to raise it.. it was kicked from her hand, she felt the sting of the kick nearly take her hand off and she turned around to run back to the camp

matt noticed blossom running towards the camp 'back so soon?' matt said then noticed two tributes following her then matt picked up his axe and ran up to the two careers one female 1 male,matt kicked the female to the ground and turned to cut off the males leg,matt raised his axe in the air to finish off the male one then got stabbed in the back by the female,matt fell to the ground landing on top of the male career,the male career dies because of the pressure and blood loss,the female tribute jumps at matt and tries to stab him in the neck matt desperately tries to resist and stares at his alliance members mouthing the word 'help!'

Frozen for a moment from the shock of the attack, Maele hurried to grab her spear and help her friend. The attacking girl raised her blade above him, and Maele realised she wouldn't be able to cross the distance between them in time. Hefting the spear in her hand, she pulled back, and threw it with all her might.

It hit the girl in the shoulder, not the best shot, but enough to knock her off her feet. Sprinting, Maele closed the distance between them and pushed the girl to the ground, using her weight to pin her in place. But having thrown her spear; she was without a weapon, she would have to make the kill with her bare hands.

The girl struggled beneath Maele, the sword she had been carrying lost when the spear hit her. Her eyes were frenzied; fear and anger fighting for control. "I can't kill her." Maele said, not releasing the tribute, but not hurting her either. "Not like this."

matt got up and stared at the girl 'if you won't kill her i will' matt grabbed his axe and raised it in the air and chopped the girls head off,matt looked at maele and then said 'maele its kill or be killed here morals are nonexistent get used to killing people'

Maele had seen plenty of death in the last few hours, had even killed someone herself, but nothing could have prepared her for what Matt did. Unable to stop herself, she crawled to the edge of their clearing and retched into the bushes, the little food she had eaten coming right back up. She felt wetness on her face, and realised she was crying. The tribute had been unarmed; frenzied yes, but not dangerous. 'I'm never getting out of this.' Maele said to herself. 'As soon as the other tributes are gone; I'm dead.'
She knew at that moment that she would have to leave; not now, but when numbers started to dwindle. Her only chance was to get away, hide herself, and hope to survive.

matt said 'fine leave but if i ever see you your dead' matt said to maele and then took some of the flowers and started to make a grave for jay 'well shes gone and likely dead' matt said to blossom 'well at least we have each other'

Maele walked away from the two of them and died, probably from the fact that the other tributes never read her posts properly.

[i said that your most likely dead not exactly dead] matt was almost done finishing the grave and then heard a scream [well maeles dead or is she?] and then 3 more tributes run into the camp,one of them is a black man holding a mace,one of them is a woman using a bow and the other is a man who has a sword and shield, 'well i guess we are dead too!' matt said to blossom as the woman fired her bow at matts knee causing him to fall onto the ground and scream

Blossom was up in a tree with her own bow and fired three arrows in quick succession at the woman, to try and save matt, Blossom jamp down from the tree leaving her bow up there and as she was dropping from the tree she grabbed her short sword, and looked to matt, and then looked back to the men, and began to swing her sword but was kicked in the gut, opening her arrow wound from the attack at the cornucopia. She then winced as she fell back

the woman was hit straight in the chest with the arrows and fell to the ground screaming and then died,the man kicked blossom and matt cut of the guy with the maces head and stabbed the shield guy in the back 'you ok?' matt said covered in blood

"My stomach...." Blossom cried out while trying to climb to her feet "...is cut" she looked around
