[IC] The City of New Ba Sing Se

I look down at the cop "Great…authority, I feel my rebellion acting up." I grin and focus, breathing in and out, before letting fire appear in my hands, evaporating the water. I drop forward, trying to spin to slow myself down but instead I land on my shoulder "Crap…that hurt" I mutter, flexing my arm and feeling a bit of pain.

[Leda]

Rikka stopped dead in her tracks as soon as she heard someone shout police. She turned around hoping she was just hearing things only to be disappointed. The man with the badge stood in her view as clear as day and by the way he held his sword he was in no mood for games. Trouble with the police was the last thing the girl wanted so she decided to back down for now, but as bad luck would have it the man she was on top of wasn't so willing to cooperate so easily and decided to get one more hit in as he swung as hard as he could and hit her square in the jaw and she fell off him. He quickly got to his feet "darn little brat, this ain't over you hear me" The man said as he signaled his gang to disperse. The girl was still trying to register what happened as she saw the man quickly get up and walk away and she looked at him with a lingering rage in her eye as she spit the blood out she had in her mouth caused by the punch and wiped the remaining blood with her hand "Jerk" she said still sitting on the floor.

Sohoko Kinzoku's alarm clock went off loudly. He jolted up and grunted, turning the alarm clock off. he sat up in his bed and stretched and yawned, then got up and changed into his normal clothes and walked into his small kitchen. He lived in a small house that he quite liked, and it had one bedroom, one bathroom, a living room and a kitchen. He stepped into his kitchen, where he also ate, and made some breakfast of Chicken Turtle eggs and waffles, licking his lips as he smelled them and then ate them.

He put on his shoes and stepped outside, today was 'Avatar Day', and he stepped into the crowd and shops. He was an Earth bender and loved using his ability as much as he could, including right now pulling Earth out of the ground where he stepped so that he could run above the crowd. As he ran, he dropped into a small crowd that had gathered that was watching some people fight. He watched it until the police showed up, inwhich he stepped into the small group of benders that were fighting. "You alright?" he asked curiously to the girl who was punched in the face.

As Jacque prepared to offer his retort to the fire bender's challenge, he heard the distinctive shout of an authoritative figure and cursed under his breath. Jacque's attention was once more brought to the group he held captive by a loud thud and a complaint of pain, "Crap...", Jacque hissed as he turned to look at Kari who had freed herself. "Now liste-" *crack*, "Oh what NOW?". Jacque looked exasperatedly at the gang members as one struck Rikka and they freed themselves to disperse into the crowd. Sensing an oncoming headache, Jacque released Rikka and returned the water to his waterskin just as an earth bender arrived on the scene, seemingly to offer his assistance to Rikka.

[Leda]

The girl rubbed her face as she looked at the new person who had just arrived. He looked to be an earth bender judging from his clothes, not to mention the way he entered the fray that had now passed. "Yeah I'm fine, I've had worse" the girl answered his question. To be honest she was still a bit miffed that she had to let that guy get away with that, but there was nothing she could do now that the police were here. She got off the ground and dusted herself off.

"Hm, alright." he said with a shrug. "I'm Sohoko Kinzoku." he introduces himself. "Where're all of you headed?" he asks. "I was going to browse through the shops that were set up before I came over here." he says, curiosity ensued and his hands in his pockets.

[Falconi]

Kat approached the crowd of benders, "Are we going to continue to have a problem? Or do I need to take you into custody?" Kat sighed, this was already a bad start to avatar day."This is supposed to be a day of celebration, not fighting.Now find somewhere else to be." He glared at them to make his point.

[Saarebas]

"Whoa whoa whoa, easy now officer Kat. These folks were just having some Avatar day fun, no need to get all up in arms about it." A joking voice said from the crowd next to Kat. A moment later a dark haired teen emerged from the sea of people and offered a sly grin to the officer. It was no other than Ton, the Northern water tribe youth that seemed to make it his personal goal to be a pain in the ass to the city's police force. He had been taken in multiple times for minor vandalism, releasing the animals at the local zoo, and even public nudity once. No other officer knew this better than officer Kat because more often than not it was officer Kat bringing Ton in for his misadventures. Ton smiled at Kat and patted his shoulder. "Happy Avatar day by the way Kat, hope it is treating you well."

[Leda]

"It's not our fault! That guy started it! If anyone should be brought in it's him!" The girl loudly pointed out, however she couldn't help but think of all the damage she could have prevented had she not kicked him out of the now broken window of the tavern. She had a good reason to defend herself but poorly executed it. "You should have arrested them for harassing every girl that walks in there!" The girl said as she stamped her foot in a fit of anger.

[Falconi]

Crap, he thought before he looked around at the voice. "Ton, go away before I take you in again just for annoying me." He pulled away from Ton and walked over the the girl that was throwing a fit. "Ma'am, if you would like to file an official complaint and sit with a sketch artist we investigate the matter." That should settle things. Hopefully though she didn't want to file a complaint. He hated paperwork.

[Saarebas]

Ton chuckled and followed after Kat, propping his hands behind his head. "Awww is that how you treat a old friend? And on Avatar day no less. tsk tsk tsk." He said with a snicker before looking over at the obviously agitated water bender. "Trust me Kat she doesn't want to file a complaint, kick the guy's face in maybe, but no complaint. Isn't that right Rikka?"

[WizardGirl]

"Well, you all seem fine. See yah later…" I say, grinning as I disappear into the crowd of people heading for the center of town. There are statues of each Avatar, going back to Kyoshi. I look at them, recognizing each of my past lives. "Today, we celebrate the Avatar, and hope that our new Avatar finds their way to us, some day soon." A man on stage says into a microphone. I walk over to the shopping area, noticing a few empty stalls. I walk over to one and order some Flaming Fire Flakes. I take the bag and pay with the little money I have. I begin to eat my food, walking to the other stalls.

[Leda]

"Yeah if he comes back I'll deal with him, you might want to check on the others though" she said as she folded her arms behind her head. She didn't want to make trouble for anyone, but if the guy and his crew wanted to finish what they started she'd be happy to oblige...Maybe somewhere outside the city, But for now she'd let it go. It was avatar day after all. "And I'm sorry sir do I know you?" She sarcastically said as she quickly turned around trying to ignore the man who appeared to be giving the officer a hard time.

[Kronshi]

Noticing that authorities had arrived to break up the fight, I take a few weapons in my pack and race for the stall area. As I come close to my stall, I trip and knock over a girl who was clearly from the fire nation, "Oh, I'm sorry, here, let me help you up."

(Setting bait for the avatar, fun)

[Saarebas]

"Oh do you not recognize your water tribe boy toy? Your arctic heart throb? Your sub zero dream boat?" Ton said jokingly as he walked next to Rikka, leaning close and giving her a wink. He had always got a kick out of messing with the fellow water bender, even when they were kids back in the Northern water tribe, though it usually ended with her kicking him back in a more literal sense he still enjoyed it none the less.

[Leda]

"Oh please, not even in your dreams creep" She said slightly blushing as she hit him in the arm. How could she not remember the pain in her neck that was the water bender that stood before her. He just loved to push her buttons and she'd always have to give new meaning to the word sidekick in order to get him to stop. "what are you doing here" she said in a very annoyed voice still on edge from the fight. It had only been a few weeks since she left the tribe and she had just arrived in Ba sing se today so it was nice to see a familiar face even if it was his.

[Falconi]

"It seems everything here is under control, enjoy your day." He glared at Ton and stalked off in the direction the thugs. This was going to be a very long day indeed. Kat knew if he didn't at least track down the thugs his supervisor was going to be pissed. They were causing trouble on Avatar Day after all.

"My this was certainly an...I guess interesting start to my first day in Ba Sing Se..." Jacque said under his breath as the tension started to wind down and the crowd slowly started to disperse. Taking this as a sign to continue on his merry way, Jacque spun on his heel and began to walk in the direction that most strongly carried the scent of cinnamon in the air, as he now had a sudden craving for sweets to ease his headache, in this case, cinnamon rolls. Donning his lopsided smile once more, Jacque tightened the strap on his water skin before shoving his hand into his pocket. Jacque didn't realize it yet, but he'd just had a run in with the avatar, and that the universe had already set him on a path that would be filled with adventure, some fun, and others dangerous.

Looking up at the man, I use my hands to catch myself. I notice him offer to help me up and I smile, before letting loose fire from my hands and propelling myself up, into a a standing position. "I'm Irane, and you are?"

[Saarebas]

Ton chuckled as he rubbed his arm. "Still have that killer hook of yours I see Rikka." He said jokingly, he had long gotten use to getting slugged by the girl, but that didn't mean it hurt any less. "What you don't remember the big scene my dad made two years ago? The whole I can't stand this one stream town thing was kind of my family's goodbye to the tribe. Yeah we moved down here and my folks opened up a inn. Nice place, but I wouldn't stay there, though most of the guests talk wonders about this stud of a bag boy." He said with a cocky grin.
