One thing, on the actual characters, would they have a different personality? Because when you imagine my skin being apart of the character, he would probably be insane, or is it where the personality has nothing to do with the skin?

Yes, I think different personalities would be good, although my character's look would match his personality. He's a bit of a heroic and caring character, but he is also a sarcastic little bugger with a short temper to boot. However, he is a bit playful and even childish at times.
