I have to admit, this is my first real Arena Rp... and although my first fight was a dud, I really like it so far.

Yeah Loki in this arena your body can be hurt like how Otto's legs were cut off, but any damage to your body is repaired by the magic of the Castle and you're kinda just returned to either your god's domain or your quarters within the castle or wherever you'd wanna go to act out stuff.

Mifune is not an ideal opponent for a martial artist to fight because he is both faster and has more reach, also you have no armor. You would be much better suited to fighting the other dude because at least you could trade some blows with him since your about equal speed and you don't have armor giving you a slight speed bonus on him. However he does have that axe which you have to get past.

I love sickles in rl. They are specifically built to go around a shield or disarm a sword.. Actually they are soecifically built to cut backwards and make farming easy, buuut... The shield thing is a nice gain as well. They have a confusing swing pattern, and are neigh unblockable because of such.

Actually, sickles are quite blockable, mostly because sickles, despite being small, it would seem sickle users tend to want to keep their opponent as far away as they can, since they can't get the sickle around hips or shoulders if their opponent's in their face. Although, I must admit that someone who's a master with the sickle can most definitely get around any defenses placed by the opponent.

Also, in Priroda's particular case, the sickle might be the death of her. The sickle, since it's pretty much only capable of cutting skin and maybe stabbing someone (it is in no way designed to hack, since it's designed to just cut through wheat), depends on a particular mix of grappling with the free hand and pulling down with the sickle once you get it around a shoulder or someone's neck. Unless Priroda's somehow much stronger (physically) than Herriman (I'm dead sure she isn't), she's definitely going to have trouble (if it's even possible for her) with the grappling bit. Also, Herriman definitely has the height advantage, which means if Priroda wants to get her sickle into its "kill spots" (Neck, head, upper shoulders) She'll have to leave herself gravely exposed as she reaches up there.

I'm not saying sickles are bad (because they're really frickin' awesome), but in this particular case, I'm not sure.

Well, both characters need a catalyst for their magic. The sickle is for earth magic. Dont forget, in SUPER cc combat, your size is a disadvantage to her agility. I have no intention of grappling you by hand, but instead, to stay close, grapple via magic, and attempt for a submission.

On a similar note, if this isn over by this time tomarow, i going to surrender so that other people may also do their arena stuffz.

Yes. (More the less pushing it.) if you read my post, i basiccaly stated that proper follow through allowed for a straneous, less effective (in terms of the damadge the sickle itself can deal.) but continued strike.

Ok so magic is cool to an extent but to be able to literally copy my characters speed is more than a little OP. Especially considering that unless like Mifune you had trained for lifetimes for it your body wouldn't be able to handle the stress of moving at those speeds and would literally rip itself apart at the muscular level.

edit: especially considering your wearing armor and Mifune isn't.
