Jinx shakes her head at Jack. "No complaints. You are with this new team now. Deal with it." Her hands crackle. "Unless you want trouble." She looks around at the newly formed teams and says, "Alright. Now that you are in your teams, follow me back to the training room." She walks out and heads over to the training room, which is right next door. She faces them. "I will not be taking your powers for this, but I do expect you to work as a team. Now, here are the rules: You may use your powers only to knock a player off the mountain or to slow them down from getting to the mountain. There will be no killing. There will be slight injuring though." She smiles lightly. "No using weapons. Only hand to hand combat if it comes down to fighting. The team with the most players on top of the mountain that holds it the longest wins." She pulls out a remote and presses a button. Suddenly the ground shifts and the floor glides down. In the center, between the descending floor and the stationary, a small pyramid with steps begins to form. Once the descending floor pauses, it shows a two story tall mountain in the dead center of the floor. There are numbers painted on the far side and the side closest to them. One through five are the ones closest to them and six through ten are on the other side. "Alright. Shane's team, you are on the far side. James's team, you're right here. Only when I give the signal will you go." She waits for the teams to separate. --- Violet follows Jinx out into the training room. She listens quietly to what she has to say. She couldn't believe that she is being pinned up against Jack. That seems slightly unfair, but she doesn't argue with her logic. The floor begins to descend slightly and she stumbles a little bit at the jolt. She stairs at the center as the "mountain" comes up. She smiles and listens to the rules and rest of what Jinx has to say before moving to her team's side. She is ready for this. She looks to James. "So what's the plan?"

Interesting to note that Jinx identified the team using his name. He and the team moved over to their designated spot. Things were about to get crazy. James took a moment to think. Jack would probably be the first one up given he was a speedster. Jami mentioned that Bear could carry them, or at least some of them. There was probably a faster way though. Part of it would depend on how strong Dimitri was though. Making a small slate and stick of graphite he started drawing something. "Dimitri, how much can you lift?"

After followong Jinx and receiving directions Shane flew over to his team's starting point. In the moments he had to himself before the rest of his team met up with him he many thoughts entered his mind. There were lots of other kids here for whatever reason: to be a villain, to be a hero, some to just get more control of their abilities. But what was he there for? Yes he did want to get control of his powers to be a better thief but was that all there was to it? Was he only going to spend his time here training? No, he should live a little. Take some time away from being The Thief and put more time into being Shane. That brought the next question, who was he? What if all he really was was a thief. Up until now he'd only been about stealing and making money. Was that all there was to him? Was he really just a thief. "Come on Shane, get this out your head you got to focus on the now", he said to himself but still these thoughts persisted. What of his powers? What was in that vial that gave him these strange powers? He hated the thought of it but he'd have to actually do...research! Before he just had to talk to an informant but now it looks as if he's on his own...damn. "Alright after this if I have free time I'll check out the library"

Ryan grimaced at the thought of no weapons. "Well, I'm pretty much useless now. Unless I go against someone weaker than me in hand to hand." He told his teammates. "Sorry about that."

As he stood by his team where Jinx had directed them, Dimitri stared up at the top of the hill and frowned a bit as he wondered just what James had up his sleeves, "I dunno, I wasn't really built for insane feats of strength. Given the fact that these augments were built with soldiers in mind, I *might* be able to manage two hundred pounds or so. Why do you ask?" he murmured. Dimitri didn't bother bringing up his suggestion to stall the other team with his sound waves again, however, if the moment presented itself in a way that wouldn't interfere with his own team, there wouldn't be a moment's hesitation on his part to capitalize on the situation. He'd even gone so far as to settle on the oh-so-soothing volume of 100 dB. It would be plenty enough to hurt, but being below the threshold of ear pain, the likely hood of the other team losing some hearing was slim so long as he kept a safe distance and didn't do it for too long. There would definitely be some ringing and pain in their ears, but Dimitri would live with that.

Jami made Bear grow to the size of a dog, placing him carefully on the floor. "So...Uh...What do we do?" she asked, referring to her and Bear. She could easily ride Bear to the middle of the mountain and defend from there. She wasn't that good at charging up slopes. That was Bear's job.

"James," Violet says, looking toward him. "I am pretty athletic. If you need me to get up there first, I can give it my best shot. I'm not as fast as Jack, but I can guarantee that I'm faster than half of those kids over there." She looks toward Dimitri. "You said that you could stall them for a bit. Considering that they have Jack, that might be a good idea. That will give us a head start for a good couple seconds. That may just be our winning edge." She then turns back to James and Ryan. "James, if you could make a flat disc big enough for both of you, I could supply you with enough shadow to get it flying. Shadows are prone to flight. It will get you up the mountain easier than running."

Listening to Dimitri's answer James nodded. So the cyborg was not designed for that kind of function. That was good to know. It did however mean the little idea he had would not work. In the middle of coming up with something else Violet presented a better alternative. "An excellent idea. I can make a platform like that pretty easilly." James was glad all the thinking wasn't up to him. He was decent at strategy but with so many unknowns it was hard to plan everything out. What was better is that everyone seemed to want to work together. Things always worked much smoother that way. Destroying the other objects he began work on a thin disk that he lay on the ground for when the round started.

Molly nodded once her orders were given, and looked around at the others, as well as Jinx, for an opportunity to slip out quietly. The opportunity came and went, and she went with it, rushing back to her room to grab Vulcanus and clasp it to her back before locking her room and sprinting back through the halls with her great hammer in tow. She stood beside her comrades after slipping back into the room undetected, toting Vulcanus in both hands with a large, pleased grin plastered on her face. "So I'm the tank huh? I gotcha covered. How're they gonna get past The Champ when gravity is workin' against 'em?" She looks to her other team-mates and hefts her hammer to her shoulder. "Are you guys prepared to win? Because I am not fittin' to lose. Champ don't lose." She spoke a bit lower as she crouched down, waiting for some sort of alarm or bell that signified the beginning of the game. With a quick kiss to the flat face of her hammer, it was easy to see just how large the head was in comparison to her head, its engravings glowing mutely as the air seemed to fluctuate between lighter and heavier around her and the hammer, its dark metal shining oddly in the light and revealing the waves in its 'skin'. She could almost feel it humming in unison with her as she flipped more of her hair over her shoulder to rest at her back.

With Violet more or less green lighting his idea, and James getting a head start on preparing the platform for himself and Ryan, Dimitri rolled his shoulders a bit and clenched his fists. The air began to fill with a ringing sound not unlike the sound produced by a tuning fork, slight at first, but then increasing in volume. The source of the sound was none other than the cyborg, who's arms were vibrating from the sound he was producing. Dimitri looked at the other team on the opposite side and grinned widely at them. Unlike before this expression held no warmth or friendliness. His eyes glowed with an eerie intensity, his smile was tight and predatory, like the the sort of snarling grin you'd see on a hyena moments before it lunged for your face. With the tension stacking up Dimitri was rediscovering that competitive side of him that had drove him to take up boxing in his younger years. "Ready to go on your say so, co-headmaster." Dimitri said, somehow retaining the cheerful tone that he'd had coming in despite his snarling visage.

Ryan looked at Jinx with a curious thought on his mind. "Any chance I can use weaponry? I don't have any powers myself, so you've made me dead weight."

Jinx shakes her head. "Sorry. Nope. And you, Molly, with the hammer. Yeah, no no, sweetheart." She raises her hand and looks down at her watch. "You better have a plan ready because here we go in three." The second hand ticks down. "Two. One!" Pink lightning shoots up into the air and it's time for everyone to start. Jinx smiles and sits down in a chair near the outside. Oh this will be great fun. --- Violet, drawing out a bit of shadow as Jinx begins to count down, throws it under the platform that James is creating. "Hurry up!" The lightning goes off and immediately Violet takes off running for the mountain.

As Jinx gave the command to start, Dimitri rushed towards the hill, sliding down where the floor dipped in before coming to a stop at the pyramid's base. "Phase one is a-go! Good luck guys!" Dimitri chirped to his team before ascending the pyramid. For a second it seemed as if Dimitri was intent on climbing to the top on his own, however after making his way about five feet up up, the cyborg made his way around to where the other team was mean to start and squatted on the stairs they were meant to ascend. "No hard feelings guys." Dimitri said mirthfully as he raised both hands and wiggled his fingers. Roughly four seconds later, the room was filled with a horrible racket as he fired off two continuous sound waves in the opposing team's direction. At one hundred decibels the blasts were far from lethal, however it was the equivalent of standing next to a jackhammer with no ear protection, in other words- it was going to hurt.

James stepped on the disk he created. "Go time Ryan. We'll figure it out at the top." They couldn't use weapons to stop them, but they could use their powers. Defenses he could make but beyond that he might have to push the definition a weapon. Was it too late to ask a question?

Ariella saw that Jinx was about to start the game, as soon as the whole room changed. She wanted to yell goodluck to James but the room changed into both teams being on each side of the mountain. What they had to do was to get all the way up there. Should Ariella use her freezing powers and just freeze the other team? Or perhaps distract them with some other thing? This was all running around her head because she wanted her team to finish the game and win. "Alright...I say we do what Shane says... since basically he is like the team leader or something.."

Molly could do nothing but pout and huff as she dropped her hammer near the entrance and proceeded to crack her knuckles, neck and shoulders in preparation for this class' event to begin. "Eh, I don't need it. I'm all winner regardless. Y'all just totter on up this thing and I'll make it a little easier for you, as much as I can that is." She gave a wary glance back at the hammer before looking down at the new field. "Doesn't hurt to carry it around from now on though, given what I've seen from the others." As the signal to start was given, Molly pushed forward and tried to push the mind-rendingly loud racket coming from Dimitri into the back of her mind. Even though she was behind the others and a fair ways off from him it was still hellish to bear witness to, lessened or not. Taking up a position at the back of her team and extending her arms as if to hug the person in front of her. There was a great low hum, and slowly she began to feel lighter as she lowered the gravity around herself and in a short column in front of her, ascending up the side of the pyramid in the hopes that it would allow her team to advance quicker, with great leaping bounds taking place of careful, slow steps. Sweat beaded on her forehead as the exertion had already begun to get to her, making her pant and grunt as she fought to stay behind her team. "Just keep it movin' and I'll try and make the journey a bit easier for us!"

The second Jinx's lightening bolt went up Shane flew towards the top of the hill ahead of his team. He was halfway up when he looked back to check on the others. That's when it began, first it was the sound. It was already loud to begin with but in the Riftman form it had...unknown side effects. The sound caused Shane to halt his advance and he fell to his knees on the slope of the hill. The sound was so much more intense to him than to everyone else and it caused his Riftman form to change slightly. Instead of the snow white appearance of the creature it faded from white to grey to black in patches of its skin. This went on for a few more seconds before he snapped. Shane was no longer in control of himself, the Riftman had taken over. It snapped its head to face Dimitri who was the source of the noise. The Riftman's blank eyes, despite lacking emotion before, was now filled with rage. It bolted for Dimitri and grabbed him by the hands with its long and bony hands which were now like claws. It stood up at eight feet tall and with Dimitri still in its grasp raised the boy up and hung him by his arms till the two were at eye level. The Riftman slowly began to squeeze on Dimitri's mechanical hands all the while releasing a scream. The same scream it made the first night Shane got his powers. The sound of it was bloodcurdling, terrible and shrill like a thousand chalkboards being scratched with rusty nails accompanied by a mixture of human and animal screams. It kept on squeezing his hands, hoping to break them. After which it was unknown what the creature would do next.

Violet turns toward the sound of the scream, freezing her approach on the mountain. She looks toward the mountain and back toward Dimitri. "Shit," she swears under her breath and begins sprinting back toward the newly dangerous Riftman. She yells, "Yo, down here!" She hurls a shadow toward the Riftman, forming it into a solid rope and wrapping it around the Riftman's shoulders. She grips the end of it and looks toward her vial. She's down to about a fourth left. She begins to feel the slight pull on her own shadow, but she ignores it, trying to focus everything toward the Riftman. "Dimitri, turn off the sound," she screams.

All in all, things seemed to be going well on Dimitri's part. His team had begun their ascent, and it appeared as if the other team wouldn't be going anywhere any time soon. The cyborg never would have imagined that he would suddenly be lifted up like a doll in the arms of a massive abomination of a creature. As it screamed in his face, Dimitri could feel his arms creaking and buckling under it's vice like grip and feel the blood rushing in his ears -louder even than Violet who had rushed to his aid- as his heart hammered heavily, pumping adrenaline through his body as his fight-or-flight instincts took hold. Dimitri stared at the creature, slacked jawed for a few moments. Though the titanium alloy was holding up to most of the pressure, even it had it's limits. On Dimitri's right arm a crack appeared, spreading from his hand to partially up his forearm, jolting the cyborg from his daze. Dimitri bared his teeth in a snarl and screamed back into the creature's face as his instincts, realizing flight wasn't really an option, chose fight. The normally chipper teen thrashed about, snarling, cursing, and spitting, all the while his arms -as well as the arms of the beast holding him- began to vibrate wildly. Dimitri twisted his hands with all the strength he could muster despite the series of sparks that began to emanate from his prosthetics until his palms where just barely visible. With one last snarl, Dimitri unleashed one hundred and forty decibels of sound directly in front of the beast. As it was, the sound was now ten dB higher than what was considered the human pain threshold for sound, and it seemed as if the more frantic Dimitri got, the higher the likelihood of him getting even louder.
