The morning was much warmer than it had been in a long time. It was a sure sign that winter was coming to an end and spring would soon be upon them. Ice was relieved. The winter had been tough and food was harder to come by than it had ever been for their small pack. He sniffed the air in hopes of catching the scent of any potential pray in the area, but he was disappointed to find none. But he wasn’t surprised. He just hoped that he and the rest of the pack would have some luck when they went out hunting next.

Silver's thin elegant body wound through the brush as she searched for food, her black pelt blending into the dark green shrubbery as she hunted, her ears were straight up, her cloudy silver eyes locked on what might lie ahead as her paws stepped carefully as though not to snap a twig or step into what was left of the crispy snow. Silver's long tail trailed behind her and twitched when she caught scent of a deer, her eyes pinned her target as she parted her jaws to better catch the scent, she wound her way down wind before bursting from the cover of the bushes and springing almost catlike and biting into the jugular of the small doe dragging her to the ground before snapping her neck with an audible crack. Silver stood triumphantly over her kill, this was going to be the best the pack had eaten in a long time, she bite into its neck once more before lifting what she could off the ground and dragging it awkwardly back to camp.
Starlight looked around at the snow feeling vulnerable. Her black fur didn't blend with the white snow or green grass at all. The only thing that matched the snow was the white fur that was on her ears and tail making it even weirder. She looked around at her surroundings as her ears tried to pick up any sound or ANYTHING at this point. She could feel the cold try to go through her warm fur to make her freeze to death. She was going to miss the cooled weather, but she loved to see the flowers bloom and grow after it.
Ice sat down beneath a tree where it was fairly dry and free of any snow. His ears perked when he caught the scent of fresh blood in the air. There was a kill made recently. He wondered if it was Silver or another member of the pack or if it was another animal. He hoped that it was one of the pack. They could use the meat. They were all hungry no doubt. It would make their lives all a lot easier if they could at least have a decent meal.
Starlight licked her paws as she laid down fighting the hunger that was trying to over take her. She as hungry but she felt that if she ate something she would puke it out or feel weird in her tummy. The feeling made her mouth dry and tummy turn in a rulemaking her whimper softly. She stayed a good distance between the pack so she could be by herself for once. And to be safe from anything that came to attack her family. She loved being a pack warrior but sometimes she wonders why she was in the first place...........
Sitting up, Ice noticed that Starlight wasn't around. He got to his feet and walked around to see if she was anywhere near the rest of the pack, but he didn't see her. He decided to go and look for her. The long harsh winter had made him extra protective of all the members of the pack and he was always afraid that one of them might end up getting separated from the pack. He sniffed the ground and attempted to pick up Starlight's scent.
Starlight could smell the alpha's scent close, but she didn't want to stand at all. She felt tired but still had energy to stay up she didn't want to let the pack get hurt or anything if she slept. So she lifted her tail and slammed it to the ground making the sticks crack making a noise so the alpha could hear it. She lifted her head and listened if he was still there, but she stayed curled up
Ice was having a hard time finding her scent in the snow, but he soon heard a sound of cracking twigs and he turned his head in the direction of the sound and headed off in that direction, making sure to move silently in case it was something possibly dangerous. He kept low as he crept through brush and trees. He was realized when he found that it was Starlight and he rushed over to her, noticing right away that she didn't look quite right. She was curled up in a ball and looked like she might be sick.
Starlight slowly stood on all four her vision blurred slightly but she blinked a few times and regained it back. She looked at Alpha Ice and bowed her head in respect as she forced her paws to move her forward back to the pack. She slowed to a stop looking at Ice, waiting for her alpha to follow her back to the pack just in case.
Ice followed her slowly. He noticed that she seemed to be in some discomfort, but he assumed that it was just due to hunger. They were all hungry. So that wasn't surprising. He was glad that he had found her, though, and that she didn't appear to be harmed. Silently, he followed her back to the rest of the pack.
Starlight stayed silent like always, she never made a noise or anything. That was what she does, the wolf in the shadows. And she isn't the only one who is in the shadows. She kept her senses on high alert for any attacks. When she had a good sight of the pack she dropped to the ground. Laying her head on her paws watching the pack but so on her Alpha and moved a little so he could pass giving him a look of apology.

Silver drug the doe into camp, its limp body dangling from her jaws and dragging between her paws almost making her stumble, dropping it on the dry ground one of the wolves had made she licked the blood from her jaws and swiveled her ears around to find Ice and tell him the prey had returnee to the forest,
Silver left the doe for the pack, she had found a rabbit to eat earlier in the morning and had shared it with a few of the elders as they commented on the warm weather returning and how it was good for their old bones.
Silver saw Ice and trotted over to him as he looked at Starlight, Silver followed his gaze to the quiet she-wolf and she moved forward toward her "Feel free to eat Star, food is what keeps a wolf strong" with a lingering look she flopped down beside Ice and began licking her black pelt "The prey seems to have returned to the forest" she lifted her silvery eyes to look at her alpha

Ice walked past Starlight and gave her a nod to say that it was alright. Then he smelled the strong scent of blood again and raised his head to see Silver had returned to camp with a kill. He watched her come over and flop down beside him. "It does look that way," he said. "I just hope that the warm weather soon follows." He was hungry and seeing the carcass only made his hunger worse, but he would wait for others in the pack to eat before he had his share.

Torch had overslept that day and woke up to the smell of blood and thought someone in the pack had captured a prey. When he came out he was blinded by the bright light , but after a while his eyes had become accustomed to the light. It had become warmer and winter was coming to an end. Silver, starlight and ice were gathered around a deer. He walked up to them and said, " Good morning . Nice catch. We really needed that! I thought we were gonna starve."
"I'm not hungry but thanks for the catch and finding food for the pack." She whispers as she stands up heading to the rest of the pack. Star could smell blood in the air making her want some but she felt her stomach do a twist making the hunger submit. She just couldn't eat and sleep at all. She was thinking to much of the same thing.
Ice greeted Torch. "We have Silver to thank for the catch," he said. "We would have major problems if not for her." Ice heard Starlight say that she wasn't hungry and then watched her curiously. He started to follow her and then sped up to catch up with her. "Are you alright?" he asked her.
Star looked at the Alpha then nodded her head. She looked at her pack as she headed towards a lake not to far from everyone. If she gets there maybe drinking water will help with her hunger. She has done it before since this wasn't the first time she hasn't eaten. Star stopped when the lake came into her sight and just laid down next to a tree. Some of the water was still frozen which made the water refreshing. She felt the same thoughts scream to make her know they were still there.

Silver smiled at the praise and bowed her head "It was nothing, the animals are returning so it was easy and really I just stumbled upon the doe" she shrugged and watched as Star turned and walked away mumbling something about not being hungry, Silver wondered if she was sick and frowned before watching the alpha follow after her.
Silver called across the clearing to Ice "I'm gonna go scout our borders, I'll be back by sun down" turning to look at Tourch she shrugged "You can come along if you'd like"

Ice looked over his shoulder. "Alright, but don't don't go beyond the borders. There may be other packs out there desperate enough stoop to cannibalism." He then watched Star go towards the lake. He decided to just get something to eat while he had a chance and then went to the doe carcass and started to eat.
Star didn't say anything else because if she said what she was going to say then she would get in trouble. She walked to the half frozen licking some of the cold water. It made her body heat cool down slightly and make her hunger submit a little. She heard back to the tree once her head started to hurt. She laid down curling up once again, her eyes opened slightly. She started to think once again hoping it would help make her head stop hurting.
