Name: Batche Age: Unknown, presumed eons old Gender: Female Race: Warforged Class: Monk Alignment: True Neutral Weapon: Hand to Hand (Rocky Gauntlets) Abilities: While being exceptional in the art of hand to hand combat, Batches true skill lies in her deep knowledge and understanding of flora and its uses in Alchemy, Medicine and Cuisine. Appearance: Batche is a lightweight Warforged, taking the shape of an rocky armour clad buxom woman made of toughened glass. She stands at 5'7" and weighs around 220lbs. Her glass hair falls to just above her shoulders and has brilliant lemon yellow Citrines for eyes. While each of her firm powerful thighs are equally covered with Sandstone, her arms however are not, the right one being much better defended than the left. Built to function as an alchemists assistant as well as bodyguard, Batche is equipped with more digits than most Warforged. Personality: Batche is your perfect maid or assistant, kind, hardworking and entheusiastic. Her synthesised voice is soft and gentle like the wind to match. She takes great pleasure in helping others. She harvests information, she'd say, "she's was equipping herself to be more useful to Master", but the reality is she was crafted to collect and store data. This makes her an expert on horticulture, alchemy, hand to hand combat, spellcraft (which she can't use due to having no magical aptitude) and a few other specialty subjects. She's bad at comprimise, if the current goal doesn't appear to help her on her quest, you will need a lot of bluff/diplomacy points to keep her around. She's optimistic she will one day find her master and thinks and is motivated by nothing else. Brief Backstory: Batche lives to serve, or at least she used too. Awoken by a dungeoneer, she found herself without her master. She waited for several years for his return but had no luck and the touching up of their home was done somewhat in vain. Worried, she packed up everything she'd need from her cavernous home and set off into the world to find him and return his favourite possessions, which he'd carelessly forgotten, to him. Not knowing much of the outside world, Batche stuck with a friendly traveler, who too must have been alien to these lands, until he introduced her to some friendly mages at a local college. There were more foreigners here but using their vast collection books Batche quickly mastered their native tongue, so that it would no longer be a barrier to communication with all outsiders that seemed to be around. They still seemed to have trouble understanding why Batche had to leave, protesting with such bizzare claims as, "We command you now, golem!", "We paid for you!" and "You can't leave yet, you haven't even serviced us! You shouldn't even have free will!" Even when they used physical force, Batche disposed of them quickly. Since then she's been searching, nothing will come between her and her master. Master only ever left home to seek out new curiosities and with no other clues than that, she uses his notes to seek them out as well, in the hope of one day bumping to him. Between escapades, Batches retreats to her dungeon home to tend to her garden.. Equipment: Large ornately carved black box containing her master's favourite possessions Master's notebook Dungeoneering tools Scrolls of Summoning Theme Song: [Out of battle](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOgGZUWOPMc) [ROLLING NATURAL 20s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9M4Y16iDTE)

Name: Vis Starkweather Age: 24 Gender: Male Race: Half-Elf Class: Rogue  Ability: He has turned the simple act of stealth into an art, having mastered the shadows and the ways to be at one with them; he can hide like no other, may it be active or in plain sight, if he doesn't want you to see him, he won't be seen. Another skill that he possesses is the ability to climb and scale natural and unnatural surfaces, though he much prefers to climb buildings and other structures because he feels more at ease with them. And the final skill of note is that he is streetwise, using his logic and intuition to find who, what or where he wants to find, he can build an interactive map of the city around him, using key figures and places as guides to finding things, picking up on things most wouldn't notice. Alignment: True Neutral. Appearance: Vis stands at 6ft 4 inches tall and weighs 170ibs, his figure would be classed as lanky though he has enough muscle mass to avoid that (but not enough to be called muscular), his skin is pale bit not too pale, it is comparable to milk. He has snow white, pigmentless hair, courtesy of his father, which he generally has slicked back, the color of his right eye is a deep, electric blue, his left eye is a bright green (this one is blind as it was struck with a curse. He has a slim head with rounded features, not the sharp features of his elven father, though he does have the elven ears even though the left one is in tatters, hanging limpy to the side. On the lower left side of his face he is missing the skin and flesh of his jaw and lower cheek, exposing his gums and teeth, this occured from the same accident as the one that ruined his ear, a cross bolt that narrowly missed destroying his life, he covers up the facial scar with a black scarf. When he is not traveling or not engaged in anything that could end his life, he wears a white puffy shirt, with long sleeves and buttons down the front, as for legs he wears grey trousers and a pair of black leather boots, the scarf around his face doesn't go unless he's in private. When he is traveling however he does wear armor, a set of grey leather armor with azure highlights in the place of tassels and the odd leather plate, the armor has a fur neckline and full segmented leather arms and legs. He always has his sword by his side. Personality: He has a rather quiet demeanor, not because he is shy but because he despises the way he sounds due to the hole in his mouth, though he still does prefer to listen because there is more to gain by doing so. He doesn't like arguments, usually finding a way to dodge them, usually elegantly but when that doesn't work he's not afraid to fight, though he usually doesn't raise his sword offensively. Vis is very fond of books, though his reading skills are weak he finds great pleasure in trying to desipher the ink; he is not the most intelligent, he can't tell you how magic works, or guess the mass of a brick by the light it reflects but he is crafty and cunning, able to put two and two together faster than most. Before he says things he tries to stop and thinks for a while to make sure what he's saying is right, he us cautious not wanting or willing to make mistakes if it will put him or the people he cares about in less then comfortable conditions. Inventory: Adventuring Kit, Vis' non-combat clothes, Vis' signature armor, Vis' Iron rapier, Old teddy bear, child's encyclopedia. History: He was the child of a human and an elf, his mother and father respectively. His mother was a baker's assistant in the kitchen of some duke who ran the area, she would go to the castle kitchen every morning at around dawn and returned every night after the sun had set, she wasn't happy with her job but the money was good so she stayed. However one autumn day she suddenly didn't dislike her job as much, there was a visit by a group of royal dignitaries, they must have been high up because they had a whole host of guards and courtiers with them, she knew because she had to back so much more bread and pastries but that is irrelevant. One evening she was taking some roles over to the dinner table where more were asked for, when she bumped into one of the guard, literally bumping into him and spilling all the roles onto the floor, however that wasn't on her mind at that moment, what was on her mind was the handsome elven guard she bumped into and likewise she was on his. That was the start of their romance, they spent evenings together and days eyeing eachother from across rooms and halls as they passed eachother, during this autumn Vis was conceived and by the time his father had to leave (he had to stay with the royal group because the winter had become too harsh to travel) he was born. However Vis had only seen his father by the time he was 6, he had to leave once the weather had cleared, which was a few days before Vis was born. He had made an instant connection with his father and visa versa, his father had decided to leave the employment of his former masters and become the head of guard of the duke's castle, with his baker's assistant wife. His father had taught him many things through his youth, primarly how to use a sword but other things as well, like how to skin a cat, however the one thing that he wasn't taught was how to read or write, he picked some of that up himself and it hasn't improved yet, most likely it's worse. By the time he was a young man, he started getting restless, wanting to go out and see the world instead of being an assisstant to an assisstant baker. His parents told him time and time again to reconsider but Vis was too stubborn, and his father noticed this stubbornness as his own, the elf allowed him to go under one condition, that he was to practice his reading and send them letters. Vis agreed, rather too quickly, forgetting that he was horrible at both reading and writing, so he set off and had many adventures, most of them ending badly, some of them ending horribly and abruptly with an injury. But he adventured on undeterred, half blind, hard at hearing and with a hole in his maw.  Notes: I've decided theme songs are a good thing: [Vis' ultra epic theme song](url=http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=clcHxg9l5Bk)

![enter image description here](http://i680.photobucket.com/albums/vv167/Assallya/Assabig.jpg "enter image title here") ##Assallya Kressair Age: 83 Race: Sun Elf Class: Wizard, Enchantress Abilities: Assallya is very social, excelling in the art of the bluff. She also is skilled at disguises. Alignment: Neutral Evil Personality: Assallya Kressair is a charlatan, con-artist, dancer, courtesan, and really whatever role she can think of that gets her by. She is exceedingly good at lying and feigning emotion. Generally, there are two ways to look at any good deed. One could perform such an act out of honest good will but others look upon it as an investment by establishing a bond that can be exploited at a later date. Assallya is of the latter. She is a coward, a braggart and a bully but what she isn't is needlessly cruel nor traitorous. She would not betray her fellows, not unless the reward involved a sum large enough to alter her life substantially. After all, What use is scoring a gem or two in return for a half dozen angry and resourceful adventurers eager to tan your hide? She'd probably be the first to flee when things went sour and most likely wouldn't last more than a moment before capitulating to torture (particularly if they threaten to mar her appearance) but she's also the type to plan ahead in case she is captured to ensure she wouldn't have any information to divulge. After all, if she betrays all her allies who is left to perform a rescue? She also has something of a phobia of the undead which are largely immune to her magical abilities. She, thanks to her upbringing, most unlike an elf, despises all things related to nature. Inventory: Spellbook, dagger, a collection of semi-previous jewelry. A magical ring that protects her bare feet like she was wearing boots. A magical comb that cleans and conditions her hair. Writing implements: Ink, charcoal and a book of blank parchment. She is currently saving up to commission a vardo wagon which should make her travels much more comfortable. History: Assallya Kressair was born in the autumn in a small village on the outskirts of Evereska. At the young age of 26 (aprox. 11 or 12 in human years) Zhentish slavers attacked and killed her entire village except for those taken as slaves. Assallya, her sister Saeliah, and several others were transported far across Faerun in order to avoid the elven wrath sure to follow. In the city of Calimshan Assallya and Saeliah were separated when Assallya was purchased be Pasha Alkiel. Head of a powerful group of rogues, Alkiel purchased her as a dancer and concubine for both personal use and for information gathering and blackmail. She then served in Alkiel's bedchamber for the next eight years while being trained in dance, seduction and other roguish arts in order to perform her duties. She was treated as an object and was given to allies and employees of the Pasha who performed exceptional services. Soon enough, she learned about the many different types of power and discovered that even as a slave she was far from powerless. Succeeding in seducing one of the Pasha's magicians she bid him teach her magic. At first he balked until Assallya cast for him the only thing her father had taught her at that young age, a cantrip. A small thing, it changed the colour of his fingernails, but it was magic none the less. He agreed then, for he was a lonely uncomely man who rarely received a woman to his bed. However, he placed conditions on his tutorial; refusing to train her in combative magics and warning her that should he ever target him with her spells it would mean her death. She surprised all of them by inventing an inferior version of the invisibility spell which allowed her to sneak away from the Pasha's clutches and return undetected. In this way, by filching jewels and prostituting herself she built up savings with a money lender. It was with the aide of the Pasha's son that she succeeded in poisoning the Pasha, planning on becoming a partner to the successor instead of a slave. With her manipulative mind behind him to advise his passionate power they were sure to bring their competitors to their knees. What she was not expecting was the Pasha's extended family to hire a necromancer to speak with their departed kinsman. He quickly named his murderer and Assallya regretted bragging as he died. She ran, the Pasha's son giving her a few moments to escape, fearing that she would claim his involvement which would lead to his family asking him uncomfortable questions. The next few months she moved slowly north, the sands left behind her and the lands becoming more lush and green. Notes: Low HP, Level 2. Charisma 20. She is a devotee to the goddess Sharess of old.

Name: Markul Ferrn Age: 25 Race: Half-Orc Class: Wizard Abilities: Markul Ferrn is good with magic, especially evocation. He is fairly fit but is by no means a fighter. He is also very literate. Alignment: Lawful Good Appearance: Markul Ferrn stands at 6' and weighs 164 lbs. He has dark skin, dark-red eyes and dark-brown hair worn in a low ponytail. His nose is somewhat broad and like most Half-Orcs (if not all) his two bottom canine teeth jut out a little. When traveling he wears dark robes of green and brown and wears boots. In more formal situations he dons blue robes fringed with white and wears matching blue shoes. Personality: Markul Ferrn is a fairly level-headed Half-Orc. He leans to a more Human disposition than Orcish disposition, and though he still holds strength in high regard he recognizes strength comes in many different forms. He enjoys a wide range of things from reading to wrestling. He gives strangers some degree of respect, though not nearly as much as if they earn it. He tends to be well spoken until he has had too much to drink. He does not like those who misuse their power and/or strength and is likely to step in if he feels someone is being mistreated. Inventory: Wizard robes, traveling robes, wizard-kit, traveling pack, dagger History: Markul Ferrn was born in Many-Arrows. He grew up being constantly picked on and beaten by other Orcs as he was somewhat weaker and therefore an excellent target. He left at a young age and was taken in by a Human family that lived near Silverymoon. This was the Ferrn family, of whom Markul Ferrn took his last name as he considers them his true family. Markul was an asset to the Ferrns, still being stronger than most Humans and being able to do much work. The kindess shown by the Ferrns made Markul much less prone to acts to prove his physical prowess and eventually he began to show interest in things more related to the mind. The Ferrns encouraged this interest and taught Markul how to read and write. Soon Markul became interested in magic and the Ferrns helped him find a willing teacher. So he learned of magic and eventually felt it was time to set out to learn more about the world.

- Name: Lily Beckett - Age: 20 - Race: Human - Class: Paladin - Abilities: As a knight Lily is physically strong, an excellent rider, and a superb swordsman, with ancillary training with polearms and bows. As a Paladin Lily is capable of channeling holy energy through her body to heal the living or harm the undead, focus her spiritual might through her holy symbol to repel evil forces, and focus the energies of righteousness through her sword to smite evil. The holy power coursing through her body grants her protection from many mystical attacks on her body and mind. Lily has been granted a limited ability to focus the power of Torm as spells, enabling her to perform blessings or ward an individual or small area against evil. Additionally as a Paladin Lily has the ability to sense the presence of supernatural evil, such as Fiends and the Undead. - Alignment: Lawful Good - Appearance: Lily stands at roughly 5'10, and has a lean, athletic build that is corded with muscle. Her hair is black and worn long, usually simply gathered together under her helm in battle. Her eyes are gray, and while she is well-calloused she has no scars, suggesting easy access to healing magic. About her shoulders she wears a hooded cloak of deep, dark red. - Personality: Lily is a Paladin, although not with all that implies. She lives her life by a simple code, dedicated to the Triad, the gods Tyr, Ilmater, and Torm - although Torm is her patron, and has her deepest devotion. The code she abides by is a simple one:
A Paladin is a speaker and seeker of Truth. A Paladin does not prejudge, but instead keeps an open mind. A Paladin never shirks from speaking the truth under any circumstance. A Paladin is the arbiter of Justice. A Paladin will never allow the guilty to escape their Just punishment, nor the innocent to be trampled by injustice. A Paladin is Sacrificing. The Paladin will give up everything they have, even their lives in the defense of the innocent. A Paladin is Courageous, and does not shirk from battle with darkness but instead seeks it out and ends it. A Paladin is Compassionate, and is kind to those around them, whether they appreciate it or not. A Paladin is Merciful, and takes life only when there is no other choice. A Paladin is Faithful, to their Masters and to their peers. A Paladin can always be called upon, and will never abandon those in need. A Paladin is Humble, and does not seek personal glory or the adulation of others.
Outside of the tenets of this code, Lily is a simple person - not stupid, she is quite learned and intelligent, but she is not subtle or cunning. She has a habit of believing the best of people who too often don't deserve it. She approaches every aspect of her life the way she approaches her labors as a Paladin - directly and relentlessly. She is, however, smart and wise enough to grasp that not everyone who is good at heart should be forced to abide by her way of life, say, by having her reject the promised reward for a task simply because she has no use for treasure. - Inventory: Lily's most prized possession is her sword, a longsword 46 inches in length, with a diamond-style blade and a cruciform crossguard, the hilt wrapped in black leather with a wheel-shaped pommel - she can wield the weapon one-handed if need be, but favors using it with both. The weapon is rather unremarkable, well-crafted but unenchanted and unnamed. With it she wields a suit of well-forged plate armor, similarly unadorned but nevertheless well cared for. The armor does bear a minor enchantment in that it is self-fastening, enabling Lily to quickly don and remove it in moments without assistance, rather than the minutes she would need even with a squire. In battle she adds a visored barbute. The gauntlets are special as well - each has been anointed by a Priest of Torm, and through them Lily can focus her Paladin capabilities. She also carries a similarly enchanted but much smaller and more maneuverable holy symbol on a silver chain around her neck, a simple circle of metal with a gauntlet etched upon it. Over her armor she has a simple, unadorned red cloak, unmagical but warm and protective from rain. Aside from her battle gear, she carries a light traveling pack holding rations, water, a small vial of blessed water, Tormite Holy Scripture, flints and tinder, fifty feet of rope, a grappling hook, and a utility knife. - History: Lily doesn't really know where she comes from, beyond probable Illuskan ancestry judging by her coloration. Twenty years ago she was found on the doorstep of the Temple of the Triad in Waterdeep, a crying infant in a basket. In a city like Waterdeep this wasn't a terribly uncommon incident, although people usually had the courtesy to hand the baby to a Priest. Being a temple dedicated to three of the most noble and heroic Gods they weren't complete dicks, and so took the child in, fostering her with a humble Tormite Priest by the name of Gabriel, who raised her as his own. Although little more than an apprentice priest, Gabriel was treated with great respect, and as Lily grew she soon discovered why. Gabriel was better known as Sir Gabriel Beckett, Knight and Paladin of the Tormtar, a legendary hero who had guarded the Sword Coast for decades. Upon learning this young Lily was inspired, and hounded the old knight to teach her the ways of the Paladin. Despite his reticence to see the girl he had come to call daughter take up the heavy burden of the Paladin he did not deny her, and her training began. To Lily's surprise the training involved much less sparring and much more deep contemplation and study. Gabriel and her would spend many hours, deep into the night discussing the nature of evil, and how to fight it. Gabriel taught her to use her sword as a last resort, to battle evil with her mind and heart, to offer peace before battle and mercy in victory, even to the wicked who seemed truly vile. "We are Paladins, not judges. Our place is not to lay judgment, but to prevent further evil. " At seventeen she began to shift from pure training to minor missions for the Temple - safeguarding travelers, guarding graveyards, laying to rest ghosts and spectres that came to rest in homes in Waterdeep. Her final mission - and final test - was to join a band of warriors led by Lord Tomas Gram, warrior of Tyr, and quiet the unrest within the tomb of the Nichos clan, a vast catacomb that had become a nest of the Undead in recent months. The mission was successful, and Lily earned her marks, her abilities equally effective at dissipating the angry ghosts and risen bodies and healing the wounds her comrades suffered, and demonstrating her courage and commitment to the cause. Upon their return to Waterdeep she was fully gifted her status as a Paladin of Torm, and granted her armor and sword for use. Within the temple the warriors had uncovered the reason behind the uprising - a book of dark lore had been stolen from a vault deep in the catacomb, the only trace of it a book-shaped patch of thinner dust on a pedestal. Concerned about the potential of such a dark book for it to be so heavily warded after so long the Temple began an investigation, sending Paladins to search out traces of evil magic. While most of the other twenty or so Paladins at the Temple ventured north or south, on Gabriel's advice - and on the word of an old contact in the Harpers - she ventured east, to the village of Falconrest on the edge of the High Moor. - Notes: Lily's Theme If we're doing character music

Name: Lamont "Lammy" LaSalle Age: 22 Race: Human Class: Druid Abilities: An established druid, Lammy is capable of transforming into multiple classifications of fauna. Whether it be a mighty bird of prey, a fearsome king cobra, or a lazy housecat, Lamont has a wide area of the animal kingdom at his disposal. Naturally, he can only turn into one animal once a day, and he's always thought about working on fixing that. Then again, the lazy housecat is his favorite animal to shift into. His sister always excelled where he didn't when it came to magic, so he's a little outclassed when it comes to that. He also carries a 4 foot long ironwood quarterstaff (that he uses more as a walking stick than anything) when he's in human form, and he's handy with that when he wants to be. At his side is his trusty pet, a Red-tailed Hawk named Sheeva. He can communicate with her when he needs to, which seems like all the time. She apparently tells great jokes, and her sass knows no bounds. Alignment: Neutral Good Appearance: It's been argued that Lammy's overall appearance reflects both his personality, and lifestyle. Moderately tan skin covered in dirty splotches, a disheveled, shaggy, black mop of tangled locks (with a seldom braid twisted in here and there) he considers "hair", an equally disheveled goatee, unnaturally bestial hazel irises that one could say sparkle in certain light, callous caked bare feet and hands, and a usually confused disposition. Standing at 6'0" and 155 lbs, Lammy's a tall, stringy fellow that looks like he needs a bath (and most likely does). Imagine if Tarzan was a slacker that could change into any animal he pleased. That's Lammy in a nutshell. Personality: His mom calls him lazy, but he considers himself "understandably uninspired". But no, he's mostly lazy. And a little aimless. He usually needs to be pushed in the right direction in order for him to get things done. That being said, his peculiar upbringing leaves him as a bit of a flower child. As the oldest sibling in a family of druids, Lammy's pretty in tune with nature. And if he's motivated enough, he'll always want to protect it. Inventory: It's already pretty challenging to carry his quarterstaff whenever he's flying across massive distances in his hawk form, would he really carry anything else? I mean, other than that and the clothes he'll wear (his trusty, raggedy, dirt brown cloth pants and equally dirty vest), he tends to travel light. Really light. No need for money or supplies when you can delve into animal instincts to hunt for food and resources. History: As noted prior, Lamont belongs to a family of druids. What started out as a adventuring duo sharing common interests, blossomed into a semi-popular family team gaining some groundswell in their hometown. As the kids got older, the mom and dad decide to settle down, with enough amassed funds (from successful quests) to convert their housing into a animal and nature sanctuary. The younger sister, Amaya, matured in a way differently than her older brother. Following in her parent's footsteps, she took up the adventuring mantle, and embarked on quests of her own. Lamont, on the other hand, opted on staying home to help tend to the sanctuary. It was appreciated at first, but his mom and pop began to realize just how directionless their son had become. He had no plans for the future, and was perfectly content with just living with his parents. There was no incentive, no fire in his eyes, no vigor. He'd only go into town if one of them wanted him to fetch something. His parents thought him lazy, but was it more to it than that? In truth, Lamont felt like he didn't have much to offer to the world at large. And because of that, he didn't do much to contribute to it. I mean, he was also lazy, but he also felt pretty powerless to the way of the world. "Why can't you be more like your sister?" His mother would plead at times. He couldn't always give her a straight answer, though he never liked being compared to Amaya. "For gods sake Lammy, you're not a bad druid, not even mediocre! We can all see the amazing potential you have, so why aren't you reaching for it?" He would shrug, or play coy when bombarded with these queries. Just once, he alluded at his case, just to see if his mother could catch on and show some understanding, but such a plea seemingly fell on deaf ears. I say seemingly, as one should never doubt a mother's intuition. One day she approached him with a short staff made of extremely durable ironwood. "I'm kicking you out~!" Her chipper serenade harshly contrasted such a drastic demand. Before he could properly protest, she began pushing him out the door. "You think moping around this sanctuary will make the world change? Wrong! That is something you have to do yourself! And if it doesn't feel like anything's changing, then you get angry, and you force it to!" She shoved him out into the front yard. "Go out into the world, find you a really big job, and don't come back until you've completed it...or give me grandchildren...preferably both!" She smiled all the while, she meant well for her son. ...And then she promptly slammed the door shut. Lamont sighed. "D'oh well." The least he could do was fly into town. Maybe there was something on offer at the bulletin boards. With a sharp whistle, his trusty hawk companion Sheeva glided to his side. "C'mon Sheev. Let's go find ourselves a job." He said, quickly taking on his own hawk form before flying off.

Despite these features many humans would consider her very beautiful as would be expected of a Deva. Her hair kept at a medium length it's color pure white to match the symbols covering her body. Personality: She is kind and generous to a fault. Keeping only those positions required to aid her in her mission. Her duty and honor is to live up to the ideals of The Crying God. To aid those who are in need and punish those who bring great suffering upon others. It is this which defines her and works for the time she has been "alive". Every action and word carefully chosen to further the alleviation of suffering from those who bring it upon others. She also shares many traits that exist among the Deva, enjoying the creation of art and following the angelic motiffs of said art. Inventory: Aside from the standard Adventuring kit she keeps only chainmail armor for her own defense and the symbol of Ilmater (the white hands bound with a blood red cord). Knowing the power of Ilmater can carry her through even the worst of troubles. She also keeps some supplies for drawing including paper and writing/drawing implements. All of her clothes are fine clothing, looking much nicer than the standard clothes expected of an adventurer. She wishes to be presentable at all times and takes great care to maintain cleanliness. History: She has spent most of her time on this plane as a wandering healer and priest. Doing all she can to aid the sick, dying, poor, and oppressed. Her works are numerous but often small, healing a farmer, providing gold to the poor, sharing food with the hungry, and on occasion freeing slaves from their cruel masters. She also has been known to provide counseling to humans and aid to wounded animals. The only people she will attack are those who would harm others, and even then she knows to stay her hand from needless slaughter. It is often hard for her to focus on the world around her in cities as the amount of suffering can become unbearable, driving her to need others around her to keep her from simply moving from person to person in order to render aid. She can give the appearance of being unfocused and cryptic in some of the things she says, all she aims to do though is help.

Name: Adrian Phalenost Age: 26 Race: Half-elf Class: Bard of Valor Abilities: Half-elf: Adrian inherited both human spirit and elven grace from his parents. He also has a natural tact for diplomacy. He can speak Common, Elven and a smattering of Sylvan and Halfling. College of Valor: Adrian chose to be of the college of valor. Valor bards favor spells that enhance the combat abilities of their allies and hinder the ones of their enemies. They are also decently proficient in light to medium armor and martial weapons. Folk Hero: Adrian comes from a simple rural background. About three quarters of his life was spent on the farm and with nature, so Adrian is proficient in animal handling and basic wilderness survival. He can also relate with his kin and can find places for the party to recuperate and rest among the common folk. Alignment: Chaotic Good Appearance: Height: 5'10 Weight: 165 lb. Eye color: Dark brown Hair color: White Personality: Adrian is always ready to lend help. He's also confident in his abilities and does what he can to instill confidence in others, whether by word or spell. He believes that nothing and no one can steer him away from his destiny. He has a special bond to his lute, his first and last childhood woodcarving endeavor. However, Adrian believes so much in his destiny that he's blind to his shortcomings and the risk of failure. Inventory: - Longsword - Dagger - Leather armor - Lute - Adventurer's Pack with five days' supply - Notebook with writing implements - Traveller's clothes - Blue brooch with Harper insignia - Spyglass History: Adrian was found on the doorstep of a humble yeoman farmer who lived in a small village along the Waterdeep-Neverwinter road. From a young age, the elf inside him manifested quickly. He taught himself how to read and write Elvish from a young age, using a dusty journal left behind by a traveller. The musical elf inside him was also apparent. He carved his own lute when he was five, and has never substituted it for any other instrument since. He also took a liking to Elvish songs and lore. However, he was also teased at from a young age because of his white hair and pointy ears. Adrian wasn't sure which side of him he was going to eventually surrender to. But one day, on the eve of Adrian's 'manhood' birthday, he was wandering into the nearby woods which had a reputation for being 'queer'. Because it was queer, and like the young man he was, Adrian obviously ventured in. He sat down by a lake and began singing a beautiful Elvish song, accompanied by his lute. When he had finished, he discovered that a beautiful fey lady - he wasn't sure what kind - had been listening to his song nearby. Impressed by such musicianship and handling of the Elvish language, the fey lady granted Adrian the gift of using his songs to manipulate the fabric of reality - he would become a bard. Not just any lute-plucking minstrel, a real bard. For the next four years, Adrian went to the same spot where he first sang his song and the fey lady would tutor him in his bardsmanship. That is, until one day the fey lady failed to appear. Instead of getting angry, Adrian thought that her disappearance meant it was time for him to put his skills to the test. Sure enough, one day hobgoblins besieged the village. Adrian was called up to the village militia. His insistence on bringing his lute with him made him the laughingstock of many of the 'tougher' village men, who deemed him a sentimental wimp. But every man was needed - time and time again the hobgoblins lead brutal charges against the village boundaries and they would not hold for much longer without outside help. However, the village men very, very soon changed their mind about Adrian. The 'White Warrior', as he was called afterwards, had apparently guided twenty militiamen to safety and with his magic forced a considerable amount of hobgoblin troops to retreat. He became a village hero. His aging father told him that the simple rural life was definitely not for him. Something greater was in store. Adrian set out from his village, armed with his lute and his militia gear. He became a travelling scholar, a part-time sellsword and even a Harper recruit specializing in intelligence-gathering. Yet, somehow, he felt that mere research of his destiny could not quench his spirit. Then he began having recurring dreams about the fey lady four years ago. He interpreted it as a message that his time to become a great hero was near. A Harper friend hit the nail on the hammer when he told Adrian that Korick the Halfling was looking for adventurers to participate in a mission to the High Moors. Notes:
(I didn't use it as an outright appearance because I wasn't sure of the gender.)
