She is fierce and strong willed, but has the ability to observe and assess before acting brash. Freiga has a mothering instinct to her, and has a tender heart torn apart by loss. Passionate and protective, Freiga has earned her reputation as quite the shieldmaiden. Courageous and wise, she doesn’t run straight into violence unless needed. Freiga continues through the most trying and difficult of times with a level head and determined will. It is her desire for adventure that takes her on the raids, not the violence and need for battle. Freiga is not part of the shield wall, her build is too slight. But she is in the thick of it, and her archery skills and swiftness with a sword allow her to take down an enemy when the wall moves forwards. Freiga is fast and agile, and ambidextrous. Speed, rather than brute strength, is her greatest feat.

### Played by MCHoskins Name: Erik 'Sunderskull' Jordahl Age: 29 Brief Description: Erik's scarred face and beaten features make him appear a fair bit older than he actually is. His hair hangs past his shoulder in a thick, brown heap and his beard is braided down to the top of his chest. He's tall, standing just over 6". His muscular arms betray not only his fondness for cracking skulls, but also his profession as a blacksmith. Pounding iron all day has given Erik a well sculpted body and one could say he's in his physical prime. His face, body and clothes are often stained from his constant work in the smithy. Profession: Raider, Blacksmith Round up personality: Quick tempered, zealous devotee of Odin, proud and reckless. Fighting skills: Fights with a typical viking long sword and wooden buckler shield. Often fights offensively, utilising a shield bash technique. Isn't afraid to get physical with moves such as kicks and headbutts - can somewhat hold his own even when disarmed.

He is a berserker, fighting as a practically unstoppable force on the battlefield as he holds absolutely nothing back. What appears to others as sometimes reckless or even insane behaviour is simply him holding nothing back, and devoting himself completely to combat. Tosti has been a raider since he accompanied his father on his first raid at the age of fifteen, slaughtering many enemies and relishing the first of much bloodshed and plunder. He has developed a close bond with many of the other raiders, having fought side by side as true Vikings many times. He is a devotee to the gods, having a deep reverence and respect for them. He favours Odin, the Allfather – knowing that his affinity for slaughter is a gift from him, and in return Tosti pays tribute to him often. He also favours Loki, the trickster god – for life is filled with his little tricks. As one of the finest raiders Tosti has brought back his fair share of gold and thralls over the years, he owns a fine dwelling with good access to abundant fishing grounds, his estate being worth a moderate amount. He also gives greatly to the gods, donating a sizable portion of his spoils to the village soothsayer on occasion. That being said he drinks and eats away much of his wealth, further driving his desire to raid as much as possible. Tosti has not taken a wife, though he has a thrall concubine who he took from a village in the east-lands. He has a deeper bond with her than he would care to admit, having taken her now four years ago. Since she has since abandoned her Slavic deities and now follows the true Norse path, and they have shared much in their time together. Fighting skills: Tosti fights without restraint, with axe or blade, with or without shield – it matters not to him. He has spent his entire life practising and perfecting the art of death, and knows that one day he will fight beside the gods themselves in Valhalla. He knows the importance of the shield wall, and will do his part when needed, however he is most at his element in open combat, often vaulting forwards into the enemy ranks when the moment is right and he can inflict the most devastation. He often carries a longsword, shortsword and handaxe on his person – using one or a combination of them as it suits him. He sometimes will carry a shield, again knowing the importance of protection when it is needed. However whenever possible he will often dispose of it in order to wield two weapons simultaneously. Tosti has before sustained grievous wounds, his recklessness not always being without risk. Fortunately the gods have thus far favoured him and he has always recovered after some time. He carries numerous scars, the souvenirs of his past mistakes in combat.

Of the karves and faerings that fill the docks of Helsingborg, most are the work of his hands, or so you'll hear him brag. Ships are his specialty, though, if need be, he can construct a wide variety of other handy objects. Dag is well respected in the community and he often sits among the raiders' councils, although sometimes he prefers the company of the sea to that of people. His next best friend is his axe, by which he cuts through wood and flesh alike. Dag is very wary and reserved, fast to suspect and slow to trust. This attitude has won him a craven's name among the youngest raiders, although the few who have called him that in his presence have paid a dear price. Fighting Skills: Dag favors the short-hafted axe, and often uses a shield as well. When in battle, he also dons an iron helmet. He is an adequate fighter, though not one of the best. Whatever he lacks in physique, he makes up with cunning. He has a great sense of balance and can fight on a rocking ship's deck as well as on solid land, or even better. Moreover, he knows the straits and currents of the Baltic and the North Sea quite well, as he's often sailed them both. Dag has lost one ear in some half-forgotten raid of old. If anything, that has made him less adventurous and more carefull.

Name: Katerina Mae Age: 24 Profession: Shield Maiden Round up personality: Quiet and soft spoken, though not one to be trifled with. Quick to anger and quicker to brawl. Katerina is always on the defensive and assumes the worst of others. Guarded, and often sullen or sulking. Katerina, the youngest of five children and the only girl- was presumed to marry and have children. Despite being raised among rowdy boys that treated her no differently when they wrestled or sparred, she learned to be faster than them and to be stealthy. But when they came of age she was to see them go off and get glory and honor, whilst she were to find glory or honor between her legs at a husbands command? She thought not. Katerina, though quiet, carried a chip on her shoulder and always felt the need to prove herself. Fighting skills: Best armed with a dagger, or dirk, or other short range weapons. Her skills lie in her speed, and her stealth. She could not rely in the power of her arms in the swing of a broad sword against that of a man grown. So she must be quicker, and as such, much smaller. Though equally gifted with a bow and arrow, she found it distasteful to deal death at a distance and thought of it as a cowards way. She had little respect for archers, though she knew how "important" they were.
