Bio: Avani was born in Ba Sing Se, but moved to Republic City with her parents when she was ten years old. Early on she had an interest in stories about spirits and the spiritual world, despite being an earthbender. In her teens, she met Ryuu and they became quick friends. They would train and hang out together. Not much changed over the years. They worked, played and lived their lives. When the spirit portals were reopened Avani was instantly interested in visiting the other world. It was around the same time that she met Mi, one of the new airbenders who couldn't quite control their powers. She quite literally fell out of the sky into her lap. The three were later assigned to the taskforce that was created to deal with the spirits that had appeared in Republic City.

Bio: Kasai, who goes by Kas for short, has lived in Republic City for her entire life. Her mother was a fire bending migrant to the city who met her non-bending father while working in Republic City. The couple married and remained in Republic City where they raised Kas. Low and behold she was born a bender, and as she grew up she took and interest in the Pro Bending League, where she spent her teen years perfecting her bending style and skills. It was there that she met Kieron, and they formed a team together, growing to become very close friends over the years. As she grew out of her teens, she began to take an interest in joining the police force of Republic City, and became a recruit in the force at the age of 21. There she met Barron, a fellow detective and soon friend. When the three heard about the new task force being formed in the city, they signed up quickly to form their own expedition team to the spirit world.
