[The One]

The gong was sounded, the trumpets were blown, the war drums could be heard. This was the sound of the finals. The tournaments were coming to an end, there were only four fighters left and whoever won would get a tour around the castle, and to meet the princess. Princess Seninia sat with her mother and father beside her, high on top of the arena, there she watched all the battles, and so far, like every single time, every single year, she predicted the winner. It was amazing, she knew who exactly was going to win. There, the crowd cheered and waited for Princess Seninia's decision. Who was going to win? She stood up slowly, and stepped forward. She also had to make a small speech for the four fighters. She really didn't like the tournaments. She hated fighting, violence was never the answer. "I congratulate you four, Tygra and Leo, Jackie and Jamie. You have come far in this tournament, you have worked hard, but now the tournament is at an end. I can already see who the winner is. Congratulations Jamie, and I am sorry for all of you. For many years now, I have been called a miracle child. Ever since I began predicting the fights. These tournaments are no longer what they used to be, it is no longer entertaining, knowing who wins." She then sat herself down and sighed, and as she did, Leo quickly got angry, in fact, he got so angry, he began to shout and swear at Princess Seninia. Then, he took it one step too far, he threw a knife at her which of coursed was stopped by one of her guards. "You will pay, you will suffer for what you have done! Tomorrow night, your death will be certain! I will make sure of it! You will regret not making me the winnder!" The King quickly stood up straight after and stared down at Leo. He didn't care if Leo would of won or not, even if he did, he was not to see Princess Seninia now. He had just threatened her life, and that he was not having. Guards quickly rushed in and grabbed Leo, holding him down. "Leo! You have just decided your fate! You will regret ever threatening Princess Seninia. One man cannot change a thing, especially when they are no longer living! There isn't anyone, who can defeat the Royal Guards. Princess Seninia is perfectly safe, I guarantee that. Guards, take him away!" He then watched as the guards took him away, he smiled and sat down. Tygra, Jamie, and Jackie remained. Princess Seninia then stood up once more and stepped up, she looked down to the three with a sigh. "You do not have to fight, you can leave now if you wish. Violence is not the answer" She sat herself down, and the crowd all cheered.

Lily was in the shadows, watching everything. She often did this, for the simple fact that it made life seem more interesting, more...alive. The young girl watched, and calculated as someone who looked in between minor and commoner rise in front of her. She licked her lips, and darted forward, making the snatch, disappearing back into the shadows, a handful of coins in her hands. She quickly shoved it into one of the various pockets over her clothes. The young girl smiled with triumph, and continued watching. As the Princess addressed the crowd, Lily was watching for Marks. "-Princess Seninia is perfectly safe-" Lily looked up at that speech. No one was perfectly safe, if you knew how to sneak about. If you knew how to be invisible. If you knew how to be nothing. Maybe she should so them that. She would never dream of hurting the Princess, but what if in their ignorance something happened? She mused all this from the shadows, eyes flickering over the crowd. Finally deciding that she couldn't risk staying there any longer, she made her way out of the crowd, and back to the streets. She had made enough for food for herself, and other street rats. Often, she liked to give them food, knowing what it was to go hungry. As long as she had enough money for her mentor, it was alright. He knew she did it, but as long as she gave him most of her winnings for the day, all was well.

Jackie watched as Leo virtually had a breakdown, and threatened the Princess. Was he mental? Threatening the Princess like that? She shook her head, as if embarrassed at her comrades behavior. She rolled her eyes, and waited for the scene to be over. As the Princess spoke once more, saying that violence was not the answer, she sighed, and merely shifted, ready to continue. She was tall, and willowy, and it seemed as if a good strong wind might knock her over. Yet she was strong, despite her thin frame. Her hair was short, and pulled up away from her face, in anticipating of the fight. She watched the other two, studying them. If the Princess was right, and Jackie didn't seem a reason for her not to be, then Jamie was the one clear opponent. Could she change that outcome?

Jamie simply stood throughout all the theatrics. While the Princess's speech revealed that he would be the winner, Jamie didn't consider that important. What was the point of coming, of being involved in this, to simply be declared the winner? He very nearly joined the guards in dispense of Leo, but stayed where he was. The young man considered Leo a total idiot, and knew the guards would take care of him. He saw that Jackie was watching him, and figured that was normal. As the Princess finished speaking, he said "Violence may not be the answer, but the simple fact is, we are all warriors. And the point of fighting should be to pit our skills against each other, to become better fighters, better protectors, for without that, there would be no one suitable to guard you, Princess. You may not find these tournaments entertaining, My lady, but for me its a chance to be recognized and seen as a valuable asset to the guards, to those that just took that fool away" he made sure his voice was loud, and that he could be heard, bowing respectfully before he began talking.

Princess Seninia listened to him and nodded, she then closed her eyes slowly, she best start the fight, she stood up one last time, as she did, the necklace which she wore glowed softly. She then opened her eyes. She gave a soft sigh, with a nod with her head. "Without further ado, let the battle begin. Good luck Jamie, you'll need it." She nodded, and then sat down to watch the fight. It was Tygra vs Jackie vs Jamie. Tygra just smiled, and cracked his neck, this would be an interesting fight. He stepped forward, and held his arms ready. "Well, let's begin then. I will change destiny, I will win!" He smiled, and then waited for the first move.

Jamie wasn't want to play around. So as it was clear that tygra wasn't going to make the first move, Jamie moved. "You won't win. This is my chace!" he roared, moving smoothly towards Tygra, deliberately favoring his right, he swung out with his sword, but was ready to counter attack and to block if need be. He kept his eye on Jackie as well. jackie stepped back, looking for any weakness in her two opponents, sliding into a easy position that she could attack or defend in, feeling like both men were just going to focus on each other. So be it. She would just have to take advantage of it
