I'd prefer to not even vote on it to be honest. My vote is a "Surprise me", though I do agree that so far, the group leans a bit heavily towards the death death devildevildevilevilevil *anyone get the reference?* and that makes interactions difficult or repetitive. I'll say this much, I'm pulling August's interactions more internal because she sees very little reason to interact with anyone so far, no one is particularly...friendly. Everyone's contemplative or sarcastic or TRYING to be mysterious. Exceptions here and there of course.

Well they ARE high schoolers. I was pretty much some fusion between Rei and Abed in highschool, and I know I'm not alone. People were moody, prone to embrace pseudodarkness because "I'm so alone and misunderstood," and generally if sarcasm didn't work in integrating yourself in a group, you just went quiet.

So I mean, I think it's natural the direction some characters are taking. Although you are right, talking at length with some people does seem difficult. Although I'm not sure it's just personality incompatibility.

I would like to start having interactions with characters though... as it stands now, we just post a line or two and that's all we can contribute until the next Kanoa post to signify the next 'round' of posting. If we started doing short collabs between characters whom we wanted to interact with, I think we could more out in between rounds and flesh out significant character interactions.

That's just me tho.

The cosmic swinging doll scene made me laugh, I won't lie.

Oh I totally understand it, I was angsty teen as well, though not all teens are like that. It just feels amplified. Possibly due to the subject matter *ghosties and spirit world*. It could also be that I'm playing a character who is WAY more chipper *usually* than most, so the contrast is ridiculous on my end.

I'm not knocking anyone's characters, hopefully none of you thought I was, these are just early observations, and we're what, 3 pages in? Obviously expecting too much would just be silly, I mean I expect there's growth in everyone here that will be apparent later on as interactions come about.

I would LOVE some collaborative interactions with folks, so I agree with you there Darcs.

As for personality incompatibility, there's only ONE character so far that August couldn't end up in a maelstrom of romantic intrigue with, but none that I don't look forward to interacting with.

I would if it a majority of it wasn't pertaining to her own backstory. That being said, while it was obvious that there was Latin and Spanish once it got to that Scandinavian like language I sort of gave up trying to translate it.

Well, it's not really a fleshed out Creole at this point, and more just Google constructed Latin with Spanish peppered in. It'll improve with time.

The other language isn't Scandinavian at all, though. It's a common (I think) dialect of the Wôbanakiak Native Americans. They'd have had tribes in the same area as Oakenheim before Leif Ericsson first came over-- although seeing that now, it is interesting that you'd see similarities to Nordic languages. Perhaps Wôbanakiak languages changed a little when Vikings first came over???

The first two parts of the Wôbanakiak ravings are a corrupted version of an old Hail Mary, the last part is my attempt at a poem in their language, about foxes, trees, and boys and girls who see more than others.

I also included a bit of Latin with Helel. I figured Lucifer/Morning Star fits nicely into the pseudo history of the Wôbanakiak in the RP, since 'Wôbanakiak' literally means 'People of the Dawn' they'd have some fixation with supernatural figures able to embody that. Even if it was like, a Japanese shapeshifting fix that had been brought over with the Vikings somehow.

@DarcsHonestly it was just due to all the marks around the base, germanic runes. The closest thing to Finnish or Swedish I know is Esperanto as for Native American languages, I only know a bit of Navajo, and that's because my dad's a marine.
