The air was cold, soft flakes of snow drifted gently towards the ground, adding to the thick layer of soft powder already covering the ground. Twilight was upon the abandoned city beyond the Wall and although most still slept one walked the streets, surrounded by crumbling building and reminders of the past. Some of it was caused by natural deterioration of the stone; a lot of it was caused by fights between the inhabitants. For life to the south was hard; especially during the winter when food was so scarce. Feet padded silently through the snow as the horse sized creature moved slowly, four log legs kept the dark body out of the show. Its movements were reminiscent of a hunting cat, the way it seemed to stalk even when there was nothing around. Sensitive ears listened for the slightest of sounds, any kind of movement that could have been caused by something unlucky enough to become dinner. For daemons were up amongst the highest of apex predators. The same as the sharks installed fear in sea-farers and crocodiles and alligators terrorised the swamps and waterways the daemon was the fear of the south. There was no creature on land that they feared. Daylight was swiftly disappearing and the darkness was taking hold, their natural element as their bodies camouflaged perfectly with the night. However a crumbling city was hardly a place one would think to see creatures like this. Yet it had been the place the daemons had made their home. The city itself was surrounded by forest, though with the winter the trees were bare and offered no protection against the cold, wind or snow. Beyond the forest was a small stream, iced over now with the winter chill and partially covered in snow, a large stone bridge still managed to make a safe crossing point. Beyond that stream was the Wall; a high testimonial of stone easily taller than a house secluding them away from the rest of the world. Over the years small holes had appeared in it and some ever foolish or curious humans had crossed over for reasons unknown. Most were never heard from again. What actually lie beyond the wall was a mystery to him, however. For even though humans had thought to invite themselves into the daemon’s domain, no creature of darkness had ever crossed over to the human side. It remained a mystery to them. And they were content to leave it that way.

Jayna had led a simple life with her younger brother and parents until the day her brother had disappeared. They didn't live far from the south wall that everyone knew not to try and go past. For no one knew what lay beyond it but the truth was that no one knew because any who ventured out to find out never returned. They weren't rich by any means but they had survived and that was by not venturing past the wall. The past two weeks she had been left home and not allowed to go anywhere. Her younger brother had been playing outside one day and then he had gone beyond the wall. Her mother being outside with him had followed him trying to get him to come back and for two weeks she hadn't heard anything from them. Just a week ago her father had left her in the house and told her to lock the doors and that he would be back with news. But that he had to find her brother and mother. That he couldn't just leave them to die. She had listened for the most part but it had been a week. A long week of being alone and not knowing. It had been a week since her father had left her alone with strict orders of not to go beyond the wall for any reason. Not even to find him. Sighing she paced the floor but her mind was already made up. She would go beyond the wall and look for herself. She had nothing left to lose after all. Her whole family was now beyond the wall or dead. Sighing she packed up a bag of spear clothes and some food and water. She wore thick pants and a long sleeve shirt with her parka as it always seemed to be cold in the parts that she lived in. She had never been alone or left to do it all on her own but what choice did she have now. She then set out towards the wall. It wouldn't take her but maybe a 20 minute walk. She grew more nervous the closer she got to the wall. Finally making it to the wall where she would be able to get through she stared at the hole and took a deep breath. "Be strong Jayna. They need you to be strong. You wont ever know the truth unless you do this." She was talking to herself but it was only because she needed encouragement. Holding her breath she then stepped through the hole and to the other side of the wall. She blinked and then released her breath as she began to walk but then she heard a noise. She turned and looked every which way but saw nothing so she continued to walk unsure of what she would find on this side of the wall.

At first it was a faint scent that hit his nose. Lifting his head Cade sniffed the air and hissed dryly. It was a scent he recognised, a scent that he shouldn’t be smelling. Walking along with a more dangerous intent he shifted so that he was lower to the ground and began stalking through the forest on the outskirts on the city, following the scent as it began steadily growing stronger. Eventually the soft sound of crunching snow reached his acute ears but still the predator remained hidden. He’d circled around the figure fumbling through the now, so that he was between him and the wall, making direct escape much more difficult. A soft, but impatient hiss escaped the daemon’s mouth as he began closing the gap between himself and the intruder. It had been a long, very harsh winter and he was very hungry. Humans were hardly his idea of a meal and this one wasn’t fully grown yet, hardly a meal. However it was better than nothing and humans often made an easy meal, especially when they wondered so willingly into daemon territory like this. He had sometimes wondered why they did this, was life on the other side really so horrible that they would rather risk life with monsters? Or, perhaps they did just not know better. Finally deciding to move the creature began closing the gap and stepped out of the darkness, its dark body shining in the moonlight. A dry hiss escaped the creature’s mouth, the dry noise causing fog the air from the heat of his breath. However even as he stepped closer yet another dark shape appeared out of the darkness just to the right of him, another Daemon, though this one was female and slightly smaller. Cade turned to her instantly growling, the deep noise rumbling deep within his chest as she hissed back at him. The pair of creatures stood rigid as they stared each other down for what seemed like the longest time before Cade burst forward in an unbelievable display of speed for a creature his size and shot straight towards the female, who screeched; a noise reminiscent of tearing metal, as his claws slashed at her side. On almost the other side of the city the screeching noise woke up another residence of the land south of the Wall. Bolting upright he looked around himself for a moment before quickly hurrying off towards the sound of the noise once he realised his den-mate was missing.

Jayna sighed some and rubbed her gloved hands together. It was cold but it wasn't anything she wasn't used to. She knew before dark though she would have to find somewhere for shelter and start a fire or else she would never make it through the night let alone make it till she found her family. She carried on walking coming upon a stream. Glancing around she wasn't sure where it went or if she should cross but if she crossed her feet would be wet and cold and in the snow, that wasn't a good combination. Hearing another noise she spun around to see the daemon hissing at her. She thought she screamed but she just stood there froze in place. Her voice seemed frozen too as she couldn't seem to make a sound, nor did she make a move. She knew she should try to run but she couldn't be fast enough not with a monster like that. Her gut also told her that if she ran he would give chase. Spinning fully around to the sound of another she about collapsed. She couldn't believe it. Two of them. This must of been what had been such the scare for not going beyond the wall. She watched as the slightly bigger one seemed to charge at the other one slashing at it. Despite what her instincts or gut told her she turned and ran through the stream and headed to the woods. Maybe she could hide from it. Maybe she could just get away. She knew there was no way to make it back across the wall not with him that close but she could try to get away. Running now she didn't look back but rather just kept going although she wasn't sure where she was headed to. She slipped in the snow several times but got up and continued on.

The cold air stung his lungs as he ran, feet flying through the snow. All around him other dark shapes of daemons were starting to emerge from their dens, some of them looking at him curiously as he ran past, no doubt wondering why he was in such a rush, or perhaps why he was awake at all. Soon the entire clan would be awake. But he didn’t care right now. The only thing that mattered was getting to Cade. He needed to see what all the fuss was about. Another deafening screech echoed through the forest. He vaguely recognised that screech as well. It was a younger female… maybe about Cade’s age, a bit older. But she was smaller. He felt confident Cade wouldn’t come out of the first too damaged. For as vicious as they were daemons rarely killed their own kind unless they absolutely needed to, certainly never over food. The fight would be frightening to an outsider, but relatively calm in terms of daemon fights. Skidding to a halt in the small clearing where his den-mate was engaged in battle. “Cade!” The creature looked at him for a moment, before casting his gaze to the left slightly before he reengaged in battle with the female. Looking over to the side he noticed a set of tracks. Quickly running over the boy looked down in surprise. Human tracks. Taking off after them he barely glanced back as the fight continued. He doubted it would last much longer anyway; most daemons didn’t like wasting their energy during the winter on fights. He was easily able to close the distance between himself and the human, they were confused and doubling back on themselves a little. He was more surefooted in the snow and knew the forest better. A dark shadow flashed in front of him and the boy wasn’t able to stop himself as he crashed full on into it. Looking down he realised he’d crashed right into the human and was now lying on top of her. “It’s alright. It’s alright.” Luka said as he quickly backed up off her, holding up his hands as he looked to her cautiously. “It’s alright. I’m not going to hurt you.”

Jayna had kept running for what seemed like forever but with all the noise and commotion around her she wasnt sure which way was safe and what way was not. "HELP!!" Screaming as if another human actually lived out here amongst these things. She prayed to never come back if she could just find her way out. She then felt something crash into from behind and she fell face first into the snow. "NO No..." She screamed and kicked some as fi to get the monster off of her. She then opened her eyes and rolled after hearing his voice and looked up at him. She blinked a few times and then scooted back some. How was he alive when she was trying to run for life, but he was alive living on the other side of the wall. Standing up, she then started to ramble. "You have to run with me.. We have to get out of here there are things..that are...big and mean and we are in trouble. We are going to die.."Tears filled her eyes as the words left her mouth it seemed to strike her that, that is what happened to her family. "Please.. Just help me get out of here." Her face was sheer panic as was her voice. Heart racing she grabbed his hand. "Come on we have to go. We have to get back.." She stated once more and then looked around as she still heard the noise and chaos erupting all over.

Looking at the girl cautiously Luka approached her slowly, she was panicked but if she kept being loud like this she was only going to attract more of them. It was always a strange habit of humans, when they were in the most danger they made the loudest noises. When she grabbed his hand he flinched visibly and jerked back, though this was mostly a reflex rather than any actual fear or desire to get away from her. “You need to calm down.” He replied slowly, keeping his voice level and calm. “You’re not thinking clearly. It’s the middle of the night and you’re lost in a strange forest. You don’t even know where ‘back’ is.” He did. But he wasn’t about to go crossing the wall willingly either. “This way.” Reversing the grip on her wrist Luka looked around himself before he began leading her in a seemingly random direction. “They’re too active at night and with all that noise you made you’re pretty much announcing your presence to them. You’ll never make it back during the dark.” He stopped at a tree and moved aside slightly for her, indicating to the small dark gap between the roots, leading to a small hole beneath the ground. “Don’t worry, they can’t fit through here. Too small.” He seemed confident, but didn’t want to mention they could probably dig them out if they wanted to. “Go on.” He encouraged, taking a step back and moving out of the way for her. All around them he could hear the noises of the daemons, although they were far away their cries tended to carry exceptionally well. They were hunting noises though, not the same as the ones they made when fighting, which had now ceased, meaning Cade and his combatant had finished fighting, probably because they realised their meal had gotten away. “Or you can take your chances out there with them.” Luka offered, indicating to the darkness and, honestly, without the sun to guide her he highly doubted she’d be able to stumble back upon the wall in the darkness without running into a daemon first.

Jayna shut up for a moment as he told her that it was just attracting them to her. That was the least thing she wanted to happen. She sighed and then listened and said not another word and followed him. She was cold and scared and needed to stay alive or she might never understand or figure out what happened to her family. After walking a ways and he then instructed her to go inside the tree and she slowly worked her way into the tree and then looked out at him. She whispered. "Aren't you coming in. You cant just leave me here in a tree." She then moved over as if to show him that she was willing to make more room. It was a bit scary in the hole but all in all it felt a lot safe then being left out there in the darkness with whatever creatures seemed to still be running around. She stood in the hole looking up at him but not sure if she was even seeing him still as the darkness made it hard to see anything. "Hey..are you coming inside too. Please don't leave me." She whispered again but a bit louder this time as if to make sure she still had his attention and that he wouldn't leave her to be one her own.

Luka stood there for a while, looking at the girl. Technically, he could very easily leave her alone in the tree. But that doesn’t mean he should. Sighing loudly the boy walked over towards her at the second request and crouched down, lowering himself into the small burrow as well. The dirt was fairly warm, creating a fairly cosy space, so long as you didn’t mind the bugs and spiders that also called it home. It was small, so between the pair of them they’d warm the space up fairly quickly, meaning at least they wouldn’t freeze during the night. That being said he still wasn’t overly happy about it. This burrow was nowhere near as comfortable or as large as his den. “I don’t see why you need me to stay with you.” He eventually said as he settled down, apparel getting ready to go to sleep. “I mean I don’t even know what you thought you were doing over here. Were you trying to get yourself eaten or something? Those things are unforgiving to intruders to their territory at the best of times… but it’s the middle of winter. I don’t know how well you people eat over there but these guys are hungry and you’re an easy meal.” He shrugged again. “You should try and get some rest; it’ll be a very long night otherwise.” He wasn’t sure he’d be able to sleep himself; it’d be a very strange night for him as well. He couldn’t remember the last human he’d seen alive. There had been an odd increase of them crossing the wall recently, but he had only seen them in the morning… or what remained of them in the morning after the daemon’s had their fill. As it was he wasn’t sure what Cade wanted him to do. Was he just minding her until later when he came for her? Is that why he’d been sent after her?

She looked at him as he climbed in and her eyes seemed to look a little less worried. She then heard his words and she sighed some as he talked."I came over for the sake of trying to find my family... " She closed her eyes for a brief moment as if she was wishing the night away. "My mom followed my younger brother. When they didn't return for a week, my dad sat out to find them. Then he was gone and now here I am. The last of my family back home and searching for them. I have nothing left back home. I need to find them." Small tears fell from her eyes as she spoke to him and she didn't bother to try and hide it or wipe them away. Hearing his words about sleep and she laughed a bit. "you expect me to sleep when there are things out there waiting to eat me.." She shook her head a bit and then glanced at him. "How are you alive over here anyways..." She asked if they wanted to eat her what made him so different that they wouldn't eat him. She blinked several times as she stared at him waiting for his response. She had so much going on in her head right now she didn't think sleep would be possible even if she willed it. Her body was just to alert and hyper at the moment. "Do you know how to communicate with these creatures..." She had many questions to ask about these things but they would have to wait. First things first, if he could live among them then she needed to know how he did it, then if he could communicate with each other then maybe there would be peace after all of this happening. And her people wouldn't have to worry or fear their kids going through the wall.

Luka looked at her for the longest time, seeming slightly confused. “Well… you’re an adult aren’t you?” He asked, seeming genuinely confused. “Are you saying you still lived under your parent’s care? How long does it take for you to become independent?” He understood that daemons were slightly different from humans, but even so a mother only needed to care for her brood for a handful of winters before they were able to take care of themselves. What was even more curious was that she only looked to be his age, and he had been out here… for a very long time. Suddenly the questions began again and he groaned in annoyance, rolling over so that his back was to her. It was going to be an exceptionally long night and if Cade didn’t come along soon he was pretty sure he was going to kill her himself if nothing else then to get some peace. “I am alive because I do not overstep boundaries.” He said, trying to make it fairly obvious he meant the wall. “I wouldn’t say I can communicate with them exactly… they can understand us perfectly, you’d be surprised at their intelligence. In my opinion they’re much smarter than we are. He sat up for a moment, looking at her again, trying to get her to understand. “But I have a bit of trouble understanding them; I can pick up on a lot of body language and I kind of know what the different noises mean… but nothing like knowing words like I do with you.” Looking at her for a few moments longer the boy then lay back down with his eyes open, lying on his back so that he was looking up at the tree. Luka folded his arms behind his head, using them as a kind of pillow. In all honesty he was curious about the world to the North of the wall, but was having trouble thinking of any questions really worth asking.

She took the hint that he was getting annoyed with her and she sighed some. "Yes I still lived my parents. In my community we didn't just go out on our own. We stayed amongst family and helped each other live." She stated and then looked at him as he seemed decided that he wasn't going to talk much more tonight. She figured the best thing to do now was to stay quite though she still had a million questions running through her mind. Closing her eyes she tried to get some rest but it didn't work. As soon as her eyes closed she drifted to sleep from the exhaustion of running from the daemons. she saw her brother being chased by one of those things and her mother screaming for him to come back. She moved a bit in her sleep and then started to cry. "no..no.." She said softly and then her voice gradually got a bit louder. "No. Come back. Don't leave me.." She was shivering in her sleep from the cold that had seeped in and from her clothes being wet from falling so much in the snow.

The night had indeed been a long one; Luka himself hadn't been able to sleep much, mostly due to the unfamiliar presence around him. So he’d lay awake most of the night staring out the small hole of the burrow into the sky, watching the night progress. It was a very clear night and a bright moon was casting enough light onto the ground that a shadow moved across the ground as it travelled across the sky. He drifted off every now and then, but not for long enough that he’d even realised he’d fallen asleep. He was eagerly awaiting the approaching dawn where he could be rid of this human and things could go back to normal. I swear Cade you better have a good reason for leaving me here with her all night. The thought passed through his mind, but he still felt certain the daemon would be around some time to come relieve him. Perhaps he was just taking advantage of the night and doing some more hunting before coming back for what he knew was a certain meal. Eventually the light of the moon began to dim, giving way to the soft pink light of the dawn. All in all it certainly could have been a worse night. After all there hadn't been a blizzard. Suddenly the girl began moving slightly and speaking, causing Luka to flinch in surprise. However he quickly realised she was still asleep and he rolled his eyes slightly and kicked her gently to wake her. “Get up. You’re dreaming. The dawn’s here and it’s time for you to go.” This world wasn’t a place for someone like her. Or any of them really. It was a hard realisation Luka had accepted a long time ago, that for all his comfort around the daemons this was not his world. Hers was. And that thought terrified him.

Feeling the slight kick she jumped up or tried to but realized that her movement was restrained from being inside the hold. She blinked several times and then looked at him. Screaming as she tried to get out before she calmed back down and the events of last night flooded her memory. Her heart was racing and she stared at him as he told her that she would be time for her to go. She shook her head as she stared at him. "I cant just leave. I have to at least try to find my family. Please help me. If not I will be left to look on my own." She stated and then maneuvered her way to the hole and began to climb out. She was a bit frustrated. Asking him stay with her so he could just tell her to move on and it would be time for her go. She wouldn't, not until, she had satisfied her need to search for her family. "Do you have family.? Do you know what that means? I don't want to live the rest of my life wondering and what ifing a bunch of scenarios." She sighed and then began to walk away from hole once she finally got out of it. She wasn't sure where she was going or what she was doing except looking for her family. He wasn't going to help her so be it she would do it on her own.

Luka backed away as the girl awoke rather violently, trying to give her space. However her request made him sigh. She was going to do this with or without him. He figured the faster he got her out the less time she’d be here upsetting the residents. “For the record, you’re not supposed to be here, can’t stress that enough. You’re trespassing and its really upsetting the locals.” He said as he passed her. “This way.” At the second question he flinched visibly for a moment, though it didn’t falter his stride as he continued to lead the way. Luka was quiet for a long time before eventually sighing softly and answering. “Of course I know what it means. I understand everything else you say don’t I? Though if it’s just the outcome you’re after I can already confirm they’re dead. As… as for your first question… the daemons are my family now. However I assume you mean do I have a human family. I did. But she’s gone now.” He didn’t go into any more detail as he led the way through the forest. Small, very faint, smears of red could already be seen on the ground. After walking for a few more minutes he stopped before a patch of snow that had clearly been disturbed recently and was partially covered in red, well it was more pink now it had been soaked into the snow. A few bones lay scattered here and there, but not many. “I’m afraid there’s not much left of this one… they sometimes eat the bones too if they’re hungry enough…” He said, his voice containing close to no emotion.

Jayna followed him though he seemed annoyed that she was refusing to go back to the other side of the wall. "I don't care if I am supposed to be here or not. I need to find my family." She then followed him as he said that they needed to go this way. She sighed a bit as she listened to his words and felt bad about asking. He did know what it was like. "I am sorry. I didn't meant to pry about your family. How can you live among them when they eat humans for dinner.." She didn't want to believe his words about her family and had let it go. If she didn't acknowledge what he had said then it couldn't be true. Walking for a bit she looked down when they walked upon a clearing that was clearly where something had been killed and died. She stared at it frozen in horror by it. "This cant be." She said softly. "My father said that he would bring them back. I have to believe that. This is something else. An animal or something.. right.. Tell me its not human." She wasn't worried about it being her father or family she just wanted to make sure it wasn't human though part of her already knew that it was and that there was no changing the outcome of what was already known. People that crossed the wall never came back and they died. That is what happened to her parents weather she wanted to believe it or not. "I am not going back. Till I find something to prove they have been killed. If you need to leave me then fine. I will mange on my own. But you cant make me go back. I would rather you stay and help me that way I don't get say eaten. Why would you want to live alone and like this?" She asked as if she had her mind made up. She wasn't returning home until she had closure on her family.

Luka was silent for a long time as he stood there, looking at the clearing as she outright rejected that this was a member of her family and he groaned slightly. “It’s human, young but human. Look, if you take this piece, this one and that one.” He trailed off as he walked over to the pieces of bones and began sorting through them. “Put them together like this, you can see it’s clearly a human skull, but if you look at the length of the bones compared to yours or mine, they’re much smaller, meaning they were likely younger.” “We can walk around in the cold and the snow all you like, but they don’t leave much behind. More often than not they’ll eat everything and leave it up to their digestive system. Anything they leave will often fall to other predators. How long ago did they cross? Because if its longer than a few days I doubt were going to find any remains. Honestly we were lucky to find this.” He stood up, looking at her again at her questions and statements. “First off, I could very easily force you to leave. Don’t forget that. Secondly, don’t think I’m going to be able to stop one of them from eating you if they really want to. They may like me but nothing stands in the way of daemons and food.” He shook his head slightly. “The only reason we haven’t run into any so far is because they’re all sleeping. They’re nocturnal. Thirdly, I am not alone. The daemons may not seem like it to you, but they’re loyal. They take care of me. I stay because this is my home. It’s all I know, I have a safe place to live and others to look out for me here. I don’t have anything back there. When I was very young my mother saved a younger daemon from a trap set by a hunter. She died a few years later and I actually crossed the wall with the intent of getting myself killed.” “I knew what was over there; I also knew there was nothing back there for me. However they didn’t attack me like I’ve seen them do to any other human that crosses the Wall. Cade, one of those daemons who tried to kill you last night, was the daemon my mother had saved when I was younger. Like I said, they’re loyal. They all recognised the debt to my family for what happened and offered to be my family. At least that’s what I’ve managed to understand from them, like I said I’m still working on that part. And you know what? I like it here. I’m safe here.”

walking along side him she listened to his words as he spoke and sighed some as he tried to make her see the reason was there. The evidence that she would never find. "Its been a week since my father came over and two weeks since my brother and mother. " She stated plainly emotion leaving her voice. His words seeming to convince her as he had put together the bones. Her heart felt like a heavy weight and she felt as if the world couldn't get any worse. "Yes you probably could make me leave but unless you have the things to fix all the holes in the wall then I will keep finding my way back. They may not be alive any more.." Her voice trailed off and cracked as she spoke, trying to get the words out. "But I don't have anything left back there but a house that reminds me of all that I have lost. I would rather die out here then return without them." She listened to his words about his past and how he came to live among the daemons. Sighing she shook her head some and then glanced around. "I am sorry but I will have to take my chances.over here, I hope you understand why I cant return without them." She had no plan for what she was doing, maybe she did hope to just die like her family had done but at least she wouldn't be alone and she would be with them again. She looked down at the ground and wiped the tears that now fell from her face. He was right though and deep down she knew that they were gone, forever. She would never find them and this scared her more then anything because it would mean that she was left alone in the world to face it on her own now.

Sam stood outside the quiet house, knocking gently. “Jayna?” He called for what felt like the millionth time. Finally he decided to just go in. He’d been out there knocking and calling and feeling like an idiot for nearly ten minutes now. However inside the house was empty. Not a person to be seen. Looking around a frown of worry crossed Sam’s face. He knew Jayna’s mother and brother had gone over the wall. Knew her father had returned recently and followed them. Knew they were all dead. But he hadn't expected her to do the same crazy thing. If she was still alive then he had to know. Had to bring her back and talk some sense into her. Grabbing his hunting bow the boy quickly made his way towards the wall, hoping he was not too late. ** Luka felt anger boiling up inside him at her words and before he fully realised what he was doing he had walked up to her and shoved her, very hard, pushing her to the ground. “Then you are an arrogant and selfish little girl!” He screamed at her. “Do you realise how disrespectful you are being right now?! For centuries the daemons have forgiven, time and time again when a human crosses into their territory. They may have killed the one who did it, but they left the rest of your town unharmed. And now, in no less than two weeks four of you idiots have crossed over!” “Do you realise how angry they are right now? How close they are to breaking? This is their home and all they’ve ever wanted is to be left alone to it. Do you think that wall could honestly stop them if they wanted to cross it? No! They stay here out of respect for an ancient deal made with humans long ago! But with so many of you so openly disregarding that deal they’re beginning to wonder if maybe it is time action is taken. Do you know what will come of you staying here and wondering around aimlessly looking for people who are gone?! War. The daemons will cross that wall and slaughter your village and if you’re lucky they’ll stop there.” “But what do you think will happen when other humans discover an entire town destroyed? They will become curious and cross the wall too. If the army were to ever find out… they would try to fight. Only it won’t be war. It will be an extermination. The daemons will overpower you. Everyone will die and they will take back the land that is rightfully theirs!” Reaching into his belt he pulled out a long, dark blade made of a strange looking material, daemon claw. “Now, do you still wish to die? Because if so I will happily kill you right here right now and throw your body back over the wall myself as a warning to anyone else foolish enough to think about coming to this place!” ((OOC: The choice she makes here will actually change the plot of the entire RP, two completely different plot routes, so choose wisely ;). ))

Jayna fell back down when he walked up and shoved her. She sat there staring up at him and then shook her head some as he seemed to go on a lecture about how everything she was doing or her people had done was wrong. Then seeing him draw the blade out, she blinked a few times. "You think its so easy to just let it all go and not look back. Well I hate to tell you but its not that easy. You may have made piece with them and live amongst them. So you still have something. I have nothing left. Nothing at all. But I am scared of death. I do not actually wish to die." She stood up then and glanced around the forest. There was no telling how far they were from the wall now and she blinked back tears. It was time she faced the truth. The truth was that her family was gone, that they were dead and there was no getting them back or bringing them back home with her. Not even their bodies. She looked down and wiped the tears from her eyes as she looked back up at him. "You win. I will leave. I will go back across the wall and never return over it." Is all she said but in her mind she thought differently. She would warn her people and rally against these Daemons. Surely somewhere out they could be a way to defeat those. It was now her life goal to bring up vengeance for her family being slaughtered. All she had to do was get back safe across the wall and surely with his help it wouldnt be that hard. "So, will you help me just get home." She stated in a rather soft tone as if her emotions were going to get the better of her.
