Yes you are allowed max 5 characters and they could be affiliated to anyone.

ok, and for those side chars (they are family members of one of the chars, he has 2 kids and a wife)
ive got 1 villain who hates both of my main chars

I had a 3e main char but I cant remember him anymore XD

while that is more then 5, the side chars are not any active chars and more for at the home setting, kinda like NPC's controlled by me
would that be ok?
