It's back! :D I'd like to join with Emery again, although I might have to change her position since I had her as navigator.

Yeah, I made a slight change to the roster system. Emery was my favorite though... Speaking of roster, I suppose I'll make a little note here on the crew positions.

Little Note

If you thought this would be little... LOL Captain - In charge of the whole deal. Summer isn't evil or overbearing, but she is unquestionably authoritarian and what she says goes. Including people if they sufficiently irritate her. Often does the piloting work but can delegate it to qualified crew members. Don't expect too much help from her in a fight other than leadership, but she's damn good at that. First Mate - Essentially the Captain's muscle. While few are intimidated by Summer, all are intimidated by Weston. Serves diplomatic purposes and assisting the captain in keeping the crew in line. He essentially is the powerhouse of the Free Wind and serves as the last-resort. Most of the time, however, it is merely supervising work. Mechanic - Will probably catch a lot of flak from the Captain, but it's a part of the job. After all, with a big ship like the Free Wind anything and everything can break and it'd be a real shame to go down over the Sky Oceans where everyone will fall and be crushed by gravity. An invaluable member that will probably have their work cut out for them but at the same time get less micro-managing from higher powers. Quartermaster - In charge of overseeing and recording the storage, transport, and removal of cargo. As "cargo" is a variable term, particularly with the Free Wind's habit of transporting actual people as cargo on the occasion, this is a supervisor-type role. Large loads of cargo being loaded/unloaded will afford some assistance from other crew members (Gunners or First Mate) but small ones get no help. Cook - Pretty self-explanatory. Highly essential, like the mechanic, except the cook will probably get a lot more love than the mechanic due to the less threatening nature of the position and the daily output (provided the cook is satisfactory, otherwise they'd have it even worse). In charge of maintaining ingredients, making meals, and keeping the kitchen and mess hall clean. Doctor - Hopefully someone smart, otherwise Summer would have a field day everyday. Somebody to attend to sickness, injuries, or any other physiological needs of the crew. While a seemingly insignificant position the Doctor is a valuable position given the Free Winds bad habit of running into trouble. More often than not: violent trouble. Don't expect much sympathy for rush jobs. Scout - When a large, middle-of-the-road in terms of speed ship is in constant danger it sometimes needs a forward unit. The scout will mostly be in charge of manning the radar and assisting in navigation, but the most important task is to take a smaller, faster vessel at certain times to scout ahead of the Free Wind. Particularly when landing in "high-risk" territories or entering no-fly zones. Gunners - The grunts, so to speak. In charge of keeping the ship clean when nothing else is going on. But they are expected to be very useful in combat situations, both on and off the ship. The true guards of the ship that will man the cannons for naval combat and draw their swords (or guns or w/e) when the enemy is in their face. Probably have the most boring job 90% of the time, but will get the most action when the time is right.

I have a question, If a Black Mage was to specialize in using diseases as their primary use of magic. Would they also be able to heal people of diseases as well, by manipulating it to slow down or stop it entirely and if possible then reverse it? Honestly a White mage would simply be a better doctor but i would like to see how a black mage would do as a doctor.

I love it when people ask good questions. :D A Black Mage would only be privy to their own disease. If they poisoned someone they would be able to halt and heal the poisoning. As well, if it was a natural disease and the Black Mage was able to recreate that disease already they could reverse it. An unfamiliar disease or one placed by a different Black Mage would be impossible to do, unless your Black Mage learned all about the new disease right quick. In situations like that a White Mage holds up better because their magic is more adaptive to illnesses. A Black Mage doctor is entirely within the realm of possibility, though most Black Mages that are also "doctors" are also probably mad scientists and the like.

Considering the First Mate destroyed a portion of the Crucible's capital city... as long as the insanity doesn't piss off Summer too much or put the crew/ship at too much risk (which is the equivalent of pissing off Weston, which is debatably worse).

Hello! I am very interested in making a character, but I have an idea that needs approval! If the idea does not work out, I shall take the 2nd Gunner spot. Sorry for the wall of text. So, perhaps there could be a pilot? Someone who flies a small, nimble, homegrown craft that will be built upon and grow like the character who flies it as the story progresses? The general idea is that my character has always had some sort of... natural attraction to flying, but being a member of a farming family, he/she (haven't really decided yet) never would have seem to have a chance. Regardless, he/she never lost sight of the dream to fly, and did whatever he/she could to learn about flying. Every book the library had to offer on aviation he/she checked out, read cover to cover, and kept learning. This character spend his/her freetime drawing up designs, making paper models of said designs, testing, learning, doing whatever he/she could. Now a young adult, she began to slowly build her first plane in the barn. His/her parents, while hesitant, never saw anything wrong with their child having such a passionate love for the sky, and thus tried the best they could to help his/her dream. Soon they became the talk of the town for a bit. People would stop by occasionally to see the progress on the plane. It was quite the attraction. Finally after a few years, the plane was finished. A unique design, pieced together by the pilot him/herself! The practically the whole town came to watch it take off from the fields. The plane took the skies, marking the beginning of the character's adventures. Soon after, he/she decided to leave the small town to explore the world in his/her aircraft. Saying a heartfelt goodbye to his/her parents, he/she took to the skies. Now my character will have only been traveling a few months and had arrived at the island of Krukow a day or so ago. He/She is from a rural island outside of the Crucible's grasp much like Krukow (Not for long as I read >:D), but it was somewhat bigger and not as isolated. Much more detail and backstory of course will be explained in both the CS and the actual RP. I just thought it would be neat, if not complete, to have a crack pilot aboard! :D. Well... I say crack pilot... He/She is of course, drawn to the flying, but I won't forget they only started a few months ago and have much to learn. My character won't just be "The Teacher" from Sky Crawlers right off the bat XD. Anyway, if that's not a good idea, I will just make the CS for the gunner slot.

Hmmm... The position this character would go for would be the Scout role, but my character already has that. I do like the character idea so I think I might make some adjustments to the roster to move my character out of the Scout role and let yours have it.
