[IC] The Colony. (Another zombie RP)

Dimitri stood an wiped his brow before taking a moment to admire his work. Each seed had been planted, watered, and covered with a healthy dose of fertilizer that he was pretty sure wouldn't be FDA approved if the FDA was still around. His work for the day done, the silent giant drained the remainder of his canteen, then exited the greenhouse after receiving permission from the soldiers that guarded it. With sore muscles, a stiff back, and a slight case of dehydration from a long day of working under extreme conditions, Dimitri began to shuffle home with a lowered head and slumped shoulders, paying little attention to the slowly dispersing crowd that had gathered to watch someone's whipping. Out of the corner of his eye, Dimitri noticed a pair of people helping what he assumed to be the recipient of the whipping to his feet.

Dimitri knew well that this was considered a crime punishable by arrest and physical correction, however he made no move to notify the preoccupied soldiers. To that note, he also made no move to help the trio as they made their escape. Best to keep your head down rather than get it bitten off. That was Dimitri's motto, and he'd be damned if he went about changing it today.

Hank realized that he wasn't getting moved to his place. He had to make home, His daughter was home alone by now, and there was a loaded gun inside his back pack. He didn't know these people, they could be trying to kill him or all he knew.

Hank forced enough strength to throw the man off his arm, Hank was weak still but his will ti fight for his life was still in action. He pulled away from the woman and he started to his place, Only to fall about 20 feet from the front door of the apartment building his bare skin landing in the road. "...dammit..." Hank had been in a similar situation once, getting ready for a last stand, only that time he had a pipe in his hands. All he could do was hope these people were actually trying to help him...He was too weak to keep fighting...

Hank pushed him from himself and tried to walk on his own, just to fell after couple of steps. Cliff looked around to see if the are no guards around and ran toward him. He put his arm around him again and whispered "Don't fight it." He knew that he will probably die from his injuries and that would be inconvinent. He lifted him alone from the ground and took the road toward his own apaartment where he lived. "Hurry girl." Cliff nodded. His apartment is a few blocks away. "Look if the coast is clear." He said to her to be sure that they all don't get caught, because if they do they all will hang.

Murphy Miller

Murphy couldn't help herself but look outside a window to see what was going on, she heard a loud bang and a person shounting causing her to flinch, Hopefully it wasn't her father. Hopefully.

She stared out looking at the Modern area around her, and at the dreaded post her very father was being whipped at, blood was everywhere on the ground but he was gone?, Could he be getting medical treatment or something?, wait a minute. a group of people we're trying to carry her father off!. No doubt kidnapping him or something!

Murphy Immediately gotten up, running to her door and opening it, and hurrying on down all of the stairs and nearly fell off, stumbing onto the railing which made a loud creak sound like it was going to break, She rushed and rushed and ran to the door slamming it up and screaming bloody murder

Guards help! Those people are trying to Kidnap my father! She screaming, Pointing at the two people who were lifting her father off.

Hank Looked up at Murphy, He was awake...ish. He would have to explain to her the soldiers don't care about people like us. In fact he's willing to bet they encourage them to kill each other.

Hank would smile at Murphy with his teeth showing, though the blood on them didn't help. "Hey there baby girl." He said weakly. "Don't worry about the..." He would look at one of the soldiers laughing at one of the others.. "...The soldiers. They are not needed here."

He did his best to stand on his own again. This was all in attempt to not look weak in front of his daughter. Though things were not going to look good when he had to tell her they wouldn't have food for a few days. "Everything is okay, Everything is okay." He would say weakly with a smile. Though it was all a lie, She didn't have to know though.

Murphy Miller

She could tell nothing was okay, when someone said it was okay, it was NEVER okay, a tear formed on her eye, a crack in her heart, Her mouth was left hanging open as if she would say something. the soldiers. they were supposed to protect the barriers, didn't they know that a group of people were outright breaking the law in front of them?

Murphy wanted to run up to her father and pull him to the nearest person with the knowledge of medicine all while yelling Your right!, Everything is okay! but she wouldn't. because she couldn't.

She backed away slowly to the door, her face turned red as she tried to hold in a tears, but failing completely, She kept on moving back, to the door. and ran off.

Melissa curled her fingers lightly around her knife handle at someone calling her "girl", but she said nothing, her face slack and hiding perfectly the irritation and fear that swirled inside her. What really got her alarmed was the screaming of a little girl, pointed her and the other man out, and made Melissa's heart jump wildly.

She put her hands on her hips as she listened to the conversation between the man--what was his name?--oh yes, Hank--and the girl who was apparently his daughter. When the child ran off, she looked to Hank and then the other man. She wasn't exactly looking forward to talking to either of them, but she supposed that sooner or later she was going to have to say something.

"Shall I fetch her?"

Hank didn't want the situation worse then it was already getting.
"Na...I got her...Just give me...A minutes to catch my breath." he would start to walk inside to his apartment. After he got inside he would call out. "Murphy? You around still? Daddy's fine, see!" he would do what he could to hide the pain. Though most his shirt was still torn, what was left was soaked in blood. "Everything is fine baby girl." he would say putting on the best smile he could.

While helping the man to walk, Cliff heard a young girl shouting at them and Hank broke from his grasp. He understood it was his daughter, but all this noise will surely bring soldiers to them, and if it does they will be accused of helping a criminal and will be punished by torturing even crueler than the other fellow got here or most likely they will be executed as an example to others.
Cliff could not allow himself to be caught in this mess and he knew he has to move quickly. "Listen man, we don't have time for detours. Soldiers are probably already looking for us. We have to escape, and we will come for your daughter later. You will not be helping her if she is caught with us, as she will share our kind of punishment" Cliff knew that situation is dire and it is a matter of second when they will be caught. "We'll talk at my place, now we have to hurry."

Murphy Miller

Murphy was already halfway up a staircase, she was above her father but she could still hear him fine. she walked down to the staircase so she could see if he was actually fine. which he wasn't. he was covered in blood, he was recently whipped and now he's running off with a bunch of random people he just met on the streets!

her face was confused, as if she was wondering what the heck was going on, She opened her mouth to Detest and tell her father to stay and not run off with the two random strangers but she was cut off by the male stranger, she figured it would be pointless to riot against the strangers if what they were saying was true, She simply nodded her head.

[Shoe Thief]

Hank looked over to the man. "They already gave me what I had coming, if they really cared about all the things they said they would have put me in quarantine. Especially if they thought I could have brought the infection inside. Now I need to let my girl know I am alive...and well." He would walk over to Murphy, trying the best he can to look as intact as possible. "How's it going girl?" he would kneels down next to her, though leaning hurt as well.

Cliff stood and watched as the man got closer to his daughter. He was tense, knew that soldiers will be here any moment. Does he need to risk his life? Can this man be one of those who could help him to achive his vision? Many thoughts ran through his head, but one thing he knew for sure; his vision won't be achieved if he is caltred today. He turned back leaving them behind without saying a word, then he saw a couple of soldiers heading their way. He ran to the again "We have to move now!" He shouted assuming the soldiers were coming to get them.

Melissa inched away and stayed beside the door, looking out for soldiers that could be moving toward them. Cliff's shouting, again, made her bristle, but she stayed where she was: if any of these people tried anything, she could just dash out and have a run, which...well, which hopefully wouldn't happen, because she may be a strong woman, but that applied to hammering metals, not cardiovascular endurance.

Again, she checked for the presence of the knife. If the soldiers were coming, she was pretty resigned to losing her life. No escape plan could save Melissa, or likely any of them, at that point. "Quiet down," she mouthed at Cliff.

Murphy Miller

Murphy's face quickly became wet with tears. she didn't know what to say, so she hugged him, wrapping her arms around her father that she might not see for a couple of months. again. her voice was cracking and full of sadness, she answered her father I..I..I don't know!

"You bunch, in here, now!" A heavy voice called out to the group from the doorway of a nearby apartment. Dimitri stood holding open the door with an expression that clearly betrayed just how unsure of what he was doing he was. To him this his was crazy, not to mention incredibly stupid. Dimitri had been deadset on leaving the group to their fate, however after seeing Murphy weeping over her father, Dimitri couldn't bring himself to ignore the bunch. He shot a glance down the street to the advancing soldiers before gesturing for everyone to come inside, "Hurry the hell up before I come to my senses!".

Cliff looked at him, another stranger who's fate has brought him, or just a pure coincidence. Could he trust him? Why should he? He may be very likely a spy, who will lead them into a trap. Cliff didn't trust him or any of them. But from Hank he saw a rebel spirit, a will to oppose the laws of superiors and from the girl the same thing. Helping the whipped man is often rewarded with hanging. But who is this stranger? Cliff could not bring himself to trust him, but what could he do, he will be trapped in here if he stays here any longer. If the worst happens, so be it. He glanced at the man "Lead the way." As he first came to follow him.

Murphy

Murphy stopped hugging her father when the man suddenly came out of nowhere, this could and probably was a trap Why would someone risk their life to save someone they just saw outside of their apartment door?

Murphy turned to the new stranger I'm not sure we can trust him Murphy told her father

Melissa turned her head toward the source of the voice and swallowed. These were a lot of people she was betting her life that she could trust, but...well, it was 100% certain that she couldn't trust the people in charge here. She approached Dimitri carefully, checking or the thousandth time that she still had her knife. She glanced toward Murphy and responded softly to the girl's comment:

"If you're smart, you're not sure you can trust a single damn person in these walls. But we don't have a choice, sweetie, unless you want a rope around your neck."

The stranger was right, but what crimes had they committed? they did absolutely nothing wrong....so far. and Murphy was beginning to think if she wanted to take part in this, she could handle herself alone but she wasn't sure if her father could. especially if he done something he shouldn't have.

lets just go then. She told them giving up on her idea that it was a trap, They didn't have any other choice if what the female Stranger was saying was True.

Dimitri stepped a bit to the side to allow entry into his apartment building, "I may just be the dumbest man on the planet for risking my ass for you guys. My room is on the third floor, the door's unlocked but you may want to wait for me to open it. Brutus doesn't take to kindly to surprise visits" he stated as he glanced back down the street. Every fiber of Dimitri's being was screaming at him to just shut the door and mind his own business, but he knew the law for helping a criminal that had just been punished. There's no way he'd be able to sleep at night if he didn't lift a finger to keep a child from hanging.
