"As much as I hate to leave this unchecked, Ryan's right." Liam said.

"We have two badges and by the sounds of it we've just come knocking on Team Flare's front door. We'd only be able to take out the lowest-rank grunts without calling Professor Oak for our stronger Pokémon. Our teams will be flattened," Shiranui mused, running through the facts, "In that case we retreat and get our teams stronger."

[Flood]

"Sounds fine I guess." Ryan said. "Let's go then." Ryan turned around and quietly walked out of the hideout.

[James Davy]

Shiranui followed, making sure to remember their location.

Liam got out as well. He sent the pokemon he had as an emergency back and got his team to how they were. He heard a voice from behind him. It was Trevor. He challenged Liam to a double battle, each using only two Pokemon. Trevor sent out a Pyroar and Quilladin. Liam responded with Anubis the Riolu and Ralts.

"Pyroar, the Royal Pokemon, and the evolved form of Litleo. The male with the largest mane of fire is the leader of the pride.With fiery breath of more than 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit, they viciously threaten any challenger. The females protect the pride's cubs.

Quilladin, the Spiny Armor Pokemon, and the evolved form of Chespin. It relies on its sturdy shell to deflect predators' attacks. It counterattacks with its sharp quills.They strengthen their lower bodies by running into one another. They are very kind and won't start fights."

"Quilladin, use Bite on Ralts! Pyroar, use Fire Fang on Riolu!" Trevor called.
"Ralts! Confusion on Quilladin, Anubis, Force Palm on Pyroar!" The four attacks all went off successfully. Pyroar became paralyzed and Ralts was burned.

"Confusion and Focus Blast on Quilladin!" Liam called.
"Protect Quilladin! Pyroar Noble Roar! on Riolu." The attacks from Liam's Pokemon were negated. Rilou's attack stats were lowered.
"Quilladin, Vine Whip! Pyroar, Flamethrower!" Both attacks hit the targets.

Anubis and Ralts were both starting to look battered. They looked at each other and smirked. They in unison became enveloped in white light. something that left both trainers and the opposing Pokemon in shock.
"It's a..." Liam began.
"...Double evolution." Trevor finished.

"Kirlia, the Emotion Pokemon, and the evolved form of Ralts. It has a psychic power that enables it to distort the space around it and see into the future. It is said that a Kirlia that is exposed to the positive emotions of its Trainer grows beautiful. This Pokémon controls psychokinetic powers with its highly developed brain.

Lucario, the Aura Pokemon, and the evolved form of Riolu. By catching the aura emanating from others, it can read their thoughts and movements. By reading the auras of all things, it can tell how others are feeling from over half a mile away."

"Anubis, Aura Sphere on Pyroar! Karl, Psychic on Quillidan!" Liam ordered the combo resulted in a double knockout, and the win for Liam.

[Flood]

Ryan was impressed. It was a rarity to see a double evolution in the middle of battle. "Very cool." He said quietly as he looked at the map. "How much longer till we get to our destination?" Ryan asked out loud.

"I believe we just have to go though Reflection Cave to reach the next town." Liam said.

[James Davy]

"Does anyone know what the cave is like?" asked Shiranui.

"All, I know is that the walls of the cave are like mirrors." Liam admitted.

[Flood]

"I like mirrors." Ryan commented as they walked to the cave.

"Well, once we get though the cave we will be able to fight for our third Kalos badge."

[James Davy]

"Being a Fighting-type gym, we all know what types can beat it," stated Shiranui, "Even so, she'll probably have counter strategies."

[Flood]

Ryan looked at Oberon and grinned. He had this battle in the bag.

"Well, lets head out then." Liam said with a smile.

Shiranui nodded and made his way out, heading east.

Soon enough, the cave came into view.

[Flood]

Ryan walked inside and looked around. He then stopped as he heard a rustling in the nearby bushes. An Eevee jumped out of the bush and growled at him. Oberon hopped off of his shoulder and his eyes began to glow. " Oberon use Confusion!" Oberon eyes glowed brighter as a wave of telekinetic energy hit the Eevee. The Eevee got up and growled at Oberon lowering his Physical Attack. Oberon snorted and shot multiple Magical Leafs at the Eevee as his entire body began to glow. A bright flash happened and Oberon was now a Kirlia. Ryan pulled out a Pokeball and threw it at the currently stunned Eevee. It shook three times and clicked after a few seconds. Ryan picked up the Pokeball and watched it disappear into the Pokemon Storage System.

"Good job Oberon." He complimented as Oberon hopped back onto his soldier.

"As if I do anything but good jobs." Oberon replied smugly. Ryan sighed and shook his head. Still just as arrogant as ever.

"Nice catch." Liam commented. "You said you wanted a Sylveon, right?"

Shiranui admired the mirrors in the cave when he spotted a Roggenrola. "Sunawani, I choose you!" He let his Sandile out and the battle was on. "Sunawani, Dig!" The Sandile quickly dug underground before Roggenrola used an Iron Defense. Sunawani struck a critical blow, but Roggenrola hung on with its Sturdy ability. "Poké Ball, go!" Shiranui threw a Poké Ball and Roggenrola was drawn in. Three shakes and Roggenrola was caught. "I'll name you Tsudzumaru," he said, spelling his new friend's name with a silent 'D'.

Ryan clapped politely as Shiranui made his catch. He turned to Liam and nodded. "I do want a Sylveon yes. I believe I have to develop a strong friendship with the Eevee. I'll get it out of my PC when we get to the next town." Ryan answered as he walked into the cave as well.
