Dante

Dante Benito Calogero

Age: 19

Background: Dante was born into the Mage family known as Calogero in Rome, Italy. Dante was the first and only child of the marriage between Roberto Calogero and Isidora Gallerani, who hailed from the six century old Gallerani family. Though highly esteemed because of its history, the Gallerani family was in an obvious state of decline as for the past century none of their children have produced even average mages. His parent's marriage was Cesare Gallerani's, the family patriarch, attempt at stimulating the bloodline once more. Though, if you asked his parents they would tell you that it was because Isidora threatened to abandon the family to die in the ruins of their former selves for Roberto.

Dante was raised at the Calogero compound until he was five years old. In his young life he saw little of his Mother who was almost constantly at her Grandfather's side as his death grew nearer. Isidora was meant to inherit the family's estate at his death, a highly disputed decision in the family. Though everybody disagreed with the decision, Cesare would not take no for an answer especially with the knowledge that Isidora was stronger that her father as a mage. As such, both Dante's Grandfather Toran hated him and his Mother almost as much as Isidora's two older brothers did.

Dante's Father practically raised him on his own while Isidora was with her Grandfather. Roberto was a kind man and loving father who was nearly as faultless as a perfect slab of white marble. He was the oldest child of the upstart Calogero family formed only a century and fifty before Dante's birth. Roberto was on par with his brother on the level of power and when the time came for Roberto's Father to pass on his crests, the crests were to be passed onto the mage who proved stronger in a battle. Roberto easily outsmarted his brother with a smokescreen of an attack and recieved the crests as his reward. Since then, Roberto's brother Vincent has hated his guts for supposedly taking his destiny from him.

While Dante had a rather peacful young life, it was as one would have expected for the sole heir of a mage family. His training started as young as possible. When he was learning Italian, he was also learning the fundamentals of magic. Once he could read, he was given scrolls his father had assigned to him so that he may learn types of magic and incantations for his uses. When Dante was five, he was handed over to his Calogero Grandmother, Pruella, for training and instruction while Roberto passed on the crests he recieved from his father. The long process of being recieving the crests took three months before they were fully applied to the young Dante. Afterwards, Dante's training became more severe as his Grandmother forced him to practice his incantations and, should he stutter, he would be beaten five times everytime he failed.

And so, Dante's life was nearly constant punishment. The only enjoyment Dante was ever allowed was the occasional sweet. As head of the Gallerani family, Isidora rarely saw Dante and he grew distant from his Mother. Once his six years with his Grandmother was over, Dante was handed over to his Grandfather Toran for the last of his training. Toran, though coming from an older mage family, was tasked with teaching Dante how to protect himself physically while Isidora transfered her crest over to Dante. For nearly six months, Toran would push Dante physcially during the day while Isidora performed the rather painful process of attaching the crest to Dante's legs. Each day Dante woke to extreme, or nearly impossible, feats of endurance and strength while he trained with Toran. Failure was not an option as the punishment was more grueling physical works.

Dante only spent six years with Toran but it was the period where Dante grew the most. Despite Toran hating Dante, he also loved him like he did his own sons. Dante often found himself in Toran's sitting room after training talking about magic and his goals in life. It was Toran who introduce Dante to the Lucina, a memeber of the Church who encouraged Dante to join. Dante was apprehensive to join the Church at first but he felt as if it was the best way for him to earn a name for himself. When Dante joined a year before the Command Seals formed on his hand, his goal in life was to become a member of the Burial Agency.

Traits:
Fine Breeding
Dante is the work of a total of seven hundred and fifty years worth of breeding. His magical circuits are both stronger and more numerous than the average mages. Dante was born with thirty-five magical circuits, ten more than his father and three more than his mother. His years of training and the centuries of breeding have resulted in Dante having circuits of a very high quality as well. He is capable of putting out nearly five hundred units of prana maximum.

Harder, Faster, Stronger
Dante wasn't trained to be weak an unable to protect himself. He is capable of fighting off most normal poeple when he feels like doing so. He can run a good five miles in thirty minutes after his years of training with Toran. Dante is also capable of lifting a good two hundred pounds when he needs to. But Dante prefers to avoid anything physical and is more likely to use magic over a fist fight.

Cram Session
Dante was trained magic for nearly all his life and was taught nearly all the types of magic there were. But his teaching was quick and often felt rushed so he is no master of any specific type of magic. His Grandmother mostly taught him basic runes, curses, some pyromancy, healing magecraft. But Dante almost always had a penchant for alchemy and healing specifically.

Alchemical Equations
Dante always had a penchant for alchemy and its processes. While his Grandmother and Toran didn't teach him much on the subject, Dante managed to teach himself in his spare time from the scrolls he read. Dante was able to teach himself Flash Air and Transmutation. But, he is in no means a master of it so he can't move consciousnesses or souls using Flash Air and can only change and object's position so long as he can see it. His Transmutation is limited to only metals of iron and steel and only if said metals are no larger than a broom handle.

Pyromancer's Son
Roberto's training focused on pyromancy and as such Dante was taught the same. Dante's early training contained scrolls on pyromancy as well as basic magecraft. Dante is capable of throwing fire like a weapon and forming it over surfaces of his body but is incapable of creating fire more than ten meters away from himself and cannot form fire on others. A particular skill Dante made himself was forming fire around and object he had previously transmuted into a weapon.

Healer's Soul
Dante is compassionate beyond all belief and is not one to leave an injured person behind. Toran personally taught Dante healing magecraft in their free time. Dante showed to be skillful in the use of healing magecraft and was quick to learn. Dante can easily heal a cut that is a half-inch deep and five inches long. Healing only becomes difficult to Dante when they are deep or severly long. Mending broken bones will generally leave Dante a bit over extended.

Other: Dante may be the only child born from the union of the Calogero's and Gallerani's but he is most definetely not well like by the direct descendants of both. In fact, his mother's older brothers hate him for being prefered for their inheritance over themselves. Meanwhile, his father's only brother hates him for joining the Church instead of going with him to study Alchemy.

Okay so flash air is worthless and no one uses it because its worthless, like projection. It can only do cool useful stuff if your family specializes in it for centuries. Why specialize in something bad and make it good with time when you can specialize in something good and make it even better, etc. Transmutation is okay though you'd probably be better off with curses or black magic maybe because he seems like a black magic kinda guy but that's your choice. Thought Acceleration is something only the Atlas Alchemists have, and they do not share. They also hate western alchemy and are math nerds.

Then again, all of these are just particular branches of Alchemy. I need to look more into that branch so as to better express his skills really. As for black magic and curses, he knows the basics but as I have said, Dante isn't much of one for fighting unless it is necessary.

Vittoria is the heir of the Prelati line of mages in Europe, a family of obscurity and little significance. Aside from the short spark of brilliance that Francois Prelati achieved by translating the text of the sunken city into Italian from Chinese, the Prelati family was never able to reproduce any momentous presence in the magical world and always suffered from a lack of talent and potential. Over the ages, the family has thinned out in blood and Vittoria herself was born with a distinct deficit of magical potential, but managed to unearth Francois Prelati’s works. She was subsequently heavily influenced in the mental sense by Prelati’s works, and due to this has conceived a twisted wish to bring in the sleeping lord of the sunken city into the world through the grail.

Extradimensional Summoning
Vittoria has the knowledge to perform spells and rituals to connect to the alien dimension of horrors. These spells are heavily intensive on cost and are highly impractical for usage in combat, as even summoning one lesser water horror requires an extensive burden to sustain. Most of this knowledge is best applied with Prelati’s Spellbook, which removes the high cost and time of connecting to the alien dimension for summoning.

Prelati’s Spellbook
A mystic code crafted by Francois Prelati. It is a monster that houses a prana furnace that can generate enough energy to make the cost of summoning from the alien dimension a pittance. It is a conduit to perform the summoning magic inherent to Vittoria’s knowledge in magecraft. The spell to summon beings from this dimension is casted not by Vittoria, but the monster in question. Vittoria merely provides the suggestion to the monster to cast the rituals required through her own spells, as this spellbook is not the masterpiece that was endowed to Gilles Des Rais which was capable of automatically directing its own summonings. The book additionally is incapable of accessing horrors at a scope beyond common water or land horrors, and as such the extradimensional god lying asleep in Rlyeh cannot be summoned. The summoned creatures act independently and require blood sacrifices to create.

Indeed, Zolgen submitted the Saber class servant though we have not had word on its acceptance or denial as of yet. Which means, if he is accepted then a master should be following suit. As for caster, Rosette has that one and we don't know the progress on it yet. I really want to see who Thor and Dante get paired with.

Beloved by the World, the unyielding force of life within the Servant permits the continuation of combat even in the event of fatal injury. A divine protection from the Earth that comes from the Carmans mythological origin as Irelands perception of Demeter, Greek Mother Goddess of the Harvest. Further, she was capable of surviving for years while being afflicted by countless evils.

Soul of Affliction:-
Among Heroic Spirits Carman has an awkward and rare death, that of dying in peace. However even weirder is the fact she had a slow and painful death under the curse of the mother of Lugh, who caused Carmun to feel the evils her sons inflicted upon all they had wronged. In other words, the curse slowly destroyed her body and spirit over time until she simply faded away like a certain survivor of the 4th holy grail war.

In any case her skill affords the ability to bear the brunt of mental attacks of all kind without affecting her psyche, be they physical, magical, or spiritual. Indeed, after having lived a portion of her life while being afflicted by evils manifested as a curse there isn't much in comparison. As such she deserves, or rather, has earned the right to shoulder the evils of the world far better than others.

The three sons names equate to Darkness, Evil, and Violence. This Noble Phantasm is "curses" that operate in the same way the mud leaking from the lesser grail works. However unlike those this is a sentient mystery and is ranked as a top class familiar. The bond and contract between this existence and Carmun goes beyond meager mystery or even noble phantasm, rather, it could be said their greatest connection is that between a Mother and "Sons". The rank represents the contract for this familiar.

Further she is capable of collecting things to be added to this vast wealth. The rank is just the mystery of the Noble Phantasm.

So for this servant I wanted to go with the casteriest caster there ever was while also maximizing mobility and utility.
