NAME: Kettle (and Grom, the cameldragon)



ABSTRACT:
A tireless traveler with an insatiable (and sometimes perilous) curiosity

INTENT:
To know everything. Everything.

FIRST ADVENTURE:
Kettle grew up on the plains with a nomad tribe of goatherds, so really one might say she was born into adventure. But the first true adventure was the day little Kettle chased a goat into the crevasse between the Rusty Cliffs, and saw a gryphon perched on a ledge overhead. She climbed that rock, scruffy and barefoot, while the goat bleated warnings below, until she reached the ledge where the gryphon sat. As soon as she crawled close, the beautiful beast took flight and escaped -- but before her was a magnificent ruby sunset she never would have seen from the ground. From that day forward she sought out every new thing she could find, determined to see for herself everything there was to see.

An unnaturally curious young Jorogumo.

INTENT:
Breaking out of the stigma of her species.

FIRST ADVENTURE:
Seclusive would explain Lila's species well. They did not go outside their caves much or interact with anything else that isn't trapped for food. That is except for Lila. She was gifted, or cursed, with a strong sense of curiosity. Her first adventure was nothing more than going into the light. The world outside that was bright, unknown, scary, and exhilarating.

HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE?
Their meeting was less than ideal. Even out and about a giant woman spider needs to catch some food. And Kettle would have been dinner had she not mentioned she was a fellow explorer. Old habits die hard. It would be in bad taste to eat a colleague, especially one much more well versed.

WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU?
Beside her strong sense of adventure? Lila's unique physiology allows the ability to navigate difficult terrain. Her people primarily living in the dark she does not need much light to see.

HOW DO YOU KNOW Bishop Forthwind?
On her travels Lila has done her best to meet people. It doesn't always work out so well. Not everyone can deal with spiders, especially a giant one that has half a human torso. However the priest seemed to be different, on a mission. Turned out that he was more than willing to share knowledge and faith. While Lila was not quite sure about the whole faith thing she wasn't opposed to listening either.

NAME: Clavic

ABSTRACT:
Eccentric and witty, a very intelligent creature with an almost overly creative mind despite its insecurities.

INTENT:
Clav wishes to understand all things to the most minute detail but he would give this up in a heartbeat for the chance to be "normal."

FIRST ADVENTURE:
The so boldly titled "First Adventure" of Clav's was one that the children of his species are all expected to take when they come of age. Spending their first few years of life within a shaggy amorphous blob of flesh created by their mothers, they are expected to go and find their first skeleton by their selves. By either force, or scavenging. Clavic's first skeleton, for the most part, was that of a normal-ish humanoid. His discovery made his elderly mother quite proud, giving her the strength she needed to pass away knowing that her child would be able to fend for himself.

HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE?
Kettle and Clav's meeting was rather fleeting, but memorable for the creature. It remembered meeting her while scavenging for bones and being quite surprised when they didn't find him gruesome to look at. He shared wits with Kettle, before the adventurer went on their way.

WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU?
Aside from his thirst for knowledge, Clavic was chosen because he was essentially a naturally born diplomat. Peace comes to him naturally. His advanced intellect is also quite helpful, as it allows for odd opinions that are out of the norm but quite helpful.

HOW DO YOU KNOW A'shinok Duran?
Clavic never really meets people as much as they tend to meet him while he's out on his explorations for knowledge. A'shinok attempted, rather hard as Clav notes, to start a conversation with him. But Clav wasn't really having it, which he feels might have left a bad impression on the man.

HOW DO YOU KNOW Ignace Karkasy?
Know? Not exactly. Clav has observed Ignace from afar once or twice, not knowing of his name or his legacy, but during his quest for knowledge he found out many things about him. He quickly became one of the very important inspirations for Clavic with his ability to immortalize almost anything. The ability to essentially create history.

NAME: A'shinok Duran

ABSTRACT: Not every lizard has a cold heart.
Write one sentence to define your character.

INTENT: A former barbaric colosseum champion who found hope in the gods above, A'shinok seeks nothing but to shine light in the places that are darkest. Following the words of his pantheon of gods, he has given up fighting unless necessary. However with his work in the more dangerous parts of the world, he doesn't dress as a pacifist.

FIRST ADVENTURE:
After leaving the arena, the first hing A'shinok did was go to all of the churches throughout the land to find which gods were righteous. He did so alone, with just a map and non knowledge of the world. He endured the harshness of some people as well as basked in the warmth of those who welcomed him to stay in their homes.

HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE?
A'shinok met her on one of his many prayer missions in an old abandoned city said to be inhabited by demon worshipers. He found her creeping in a shadow observing their ways just before being spotted. He took care of them, keeping them alive as best he could. The two had a talk later, she shared her notes and went on her way. A'shinok stayed behind to deliver a sermon to the non dead worshippers when they awoke.

WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU?
A dragonborn without fear, a righteous heart and a hatred of violence after a flawless arena record? He seemed like a good fit for any adventuring team.

HOW DO YOU KNOW Clavic?
After seeing a walking mass of skeletons, A'shinok decided maybe this thing needed a little bit of help overcoming his demons, sadly the mass of the dead would have nothing of it. One day, he'll accept the gods into his life.

NAME: Marceline Abadeer

ABSTRACT: Marceline is over a thousand years old, as she said in "Evicted!" and "Daddy's Little Monster." In "Memory of a Memory," one of Marceline's memories shows her as a young girl playing near the burning ruins of a city, presumably during the Mushroom War.

FIRST ADVENTURE: As a teenager, Marceline's relationship with her father was damaged when he ate her fries in the ruins of a diner. She later sang about this event in her "Fry Song." The first memory where she is chronologically seen as a vampire is when she moved into the Tree Fort (that would later become Finn and Jake's home) with her boyfriend Ash. She would later dump him for selling Hambo to Maja the Sky Witch as it was her most prized possession. Marceline has also mentioned her mother, but no in depth information has been given about her or their relationship yet.

In "Evicted!" Marceline says that she has been all over the Land of Ooo, claiming that she has ridden a Giant Goldfish and traveled to the Fire Kingdom. However, according to Natasha Allegri[citation needed], she was lying and trying to show off. She has also apparently gained several places of residence throughout her life, which may have been in her attempts to get away from the Ice King.

It's unknown exactly when or how Marceline became a vampire, although she did not have a bite mark on her neck when she was younger. As revealed by her alternate version in Farmworld, Marceline does consider herself half-demon, which may be a major contribution to her longevity. This is further supported by the fact that her Farmworld version lived to be over a thousand years old, despite having never turned into a vampire because she stayed with Simon's corpse. Her demonic origins most likely were the direct cause of her ability to survive. However, this side does not give her any magical powers or abilities such as flight and transformation as well as a similar eternal youth to her father, which she appears to have gained due to her vampire powers, due to the fact that her father seemingly does not possess the abilities she has.

HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE?
In "Marceline's Closet," Finn and Jake hide in Marceline's house and end up hearing her recording some of her deepest secrets in song. They are caught when they try to escape her house while she goes to bed. She surprises them by saying she does not mind that they hid in her house, and explains that she hides at their place "all the time." They then have re winded into the wrong times, Marceline is alone, and her friends are somewhere else, she builded her own house, and explored the villages. She found a giant dragon, and was frightened.]

WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU?
Kettle picked Marceline because of her frightening teeth and dangerous look, Kettle also discovered that Marceline's lips are poison and can infect anyone who attempts to kiss her.

HOW DO YOU KNOW Lila
Marceline goes in caves for private times, she watches Lila survive and thrive. She often tries to say hey, but Lila cannot hear her.

NAME: Bishop Forthwind Cedany

ABSTRACT:
A kindly old priest who yearns to spread his knowledge to the youths and explore the world he has yet to see.

INTENT:
To die knowing he made some sort of difference in the world.

FIRST ADVENTURE:
Forthwind's first adventure happened when he was a much younger man than he is today. He was in his mid-twenties and had just gotten married to his now deceased wife, Rohesia. While Forthwind was more of a bookworm at that time and would have preferred to stay indoors, Rohesia was a keen explorer and practically forced Forthwind out of the house. They explored a cave nearby the small cottage they had bought. They were surprised to find a herd of Purdos, essentially dog-sized rats living down there. The Purdos did not take kindly to the intrusion. While Forthwind attempted to help by swatting the large stick he had used for walking, he was ultimately unneeded as Rohesia quickly disposed of the Purdos with a few quick slashes with her sword. He returned excited for their next adventure.

HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE?
Forthwind met Kettle on a rather stormy night a few years ago. He and Rohesia had just been to see one of the most exquisite plays and were riding home to their cottage in a carriage. They encountered Kettle trudging through mud, soaked through to the bone. Of course, Forthwind and Rohesia were far too kindly to let the girl travel on an unsafe, wet, dark road in the middle of nowhere. They let her travel with them in the carriage and even gave her a place to stay in their empty room for the night. Forthwind and Rohesia were amazed to hear of Kettle's tales and of all the people she had met. After Rohesia had went to bed Forthwind and Kettle discussed more topics that Forthwind found interesting, such as religion, books and philosophy. Suffice to say, Forthwind and Rohesia found her a very charming young lady.

WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU?
Forthwind has been known to convince and get on with just about anyone. Along with this, he is also a cunning linguist and knows a few languages that may help if any locals were to stumble upon the group.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IGNACE?
Forthwind met Ignace after commissioning a statue of his church's god, Lofian in Forthwind's church. Forthwind admired Ignace's ability and creativity and ended up talking to him a lot of the time when Ignace was supposed to be working. This annoyed some of the other priests in the church but Forthwind jokingly assured Ignace that procastination was not a sin.

NAME: Jazzle Finks (Aka Jazz). He's a goblin.



ABSTRACT:
An obsessive tinkerer, dreamer, and an idealist with a pride that outgrows his stature.

INTENT:
To satisfy his curiousity for all that clicks, ticks, buzzes, or otherwise clanks. Would like to build an understanding of the world, and use this knowledge to leave his own mark.

FIRST ADVENTURE:
Jazzle is a part of a tribe of goblins that exist just outside the city border. They were scavengers, who etched a living out of the scraps thrown out of the developed city's borders. Jazz was inspired by the many gadgets and other bits and bobs the people threw away, and eventually his curiosity got the better of him as he found himself in the heart of the largest city in the continent. To the mind of a goblin who previously led a simple life in the slums it was mind blowing, and lead to a career of mischief and larceny all in the name of his burning curiosity. Goblins and humans have a tenuous relationship at best.

HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE?
To put it frank.. Jazzle once stole an expensive watch from the worldly traveler. It had such a pleasant tick, he just HAD to see what made it figuratively and literally tick. A long chase, painful bumps and bruises and a serious scalding had made the young thief get a change of career. No hard feelings!

WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU?
Jazz figures out how things work. He can take things apart, inspect every insignificant detail, and put it back together new and improved. He is an innovator with fierce determination.

HOW DO YOU KNOW A'shinok?
While A'Shinok likely has no knowledge of Jazz's existance, the goblin is a huge fan! Whenever Jazz has had a hard day avoiding detection within the city walls, it is nice to relax and watch a good sport. He's always been meaning to get an autograph!

Ignace was the man who stood witness to Jazz's meeting with kettle, and he finds that thought incredibly embarrassing. Overall Jazz finds him kind and annoying as he never really got the appeal of his strange artwork, but he is tolerable enough.

"Ah yes, that's my handsome mug right there! Never mind the umbrella, that's protection from them!"

ABSTRACT:
"Some call me a madman, I am simply a genius human that few can understand."

INTENT:
"I must find them and put and end to their evil plots, I am the only one that knows of it, and if I tell you you'll be put in danger, so I must hold my tongue."

FIRST ADVENTURE:
"I shall tell you my first adventure! One of mystery and intrigue, where I first learned of them and their plot. I quite simply put was kidnapped! I fell asleep in a wagon that no one was using, it even had empty crates in it the fools! When I awoke the wagon and myself were on the move and some madman who called himself a merchant was controlling it! No sane person would take a cart that no one was using. That was my first clue that something was wrong! Then he tried to convince me that he was generously taking me to the next town as he thought I had gotten onto his wagon for that purpose! I panicked, I admit I lost my cool, but fortunately the man was unprepared for I killed him then and there. I found some papers on his body with dates and places with various objects and names that could only be code for some dastardly plan. Ever since I have been searching for them my quest has taken me far and wide, for better and worse."

"Ah Kettle, wonderful Kettle! An explorer and wanderer of the world such as I. My time with Kettle was a brief one, but I learned I could trust Kettle implicitly. Anyone with such a hunger for knowledge could only be thought as a good person. I was hunting down information on one of my targets when I met Kettle. Kettle wished to learn about me as an individual I stuck out so much to Kettle, which of course is natural since I am such an extraordinary person. Kettle was the first person in all my travels to take me seriously, which is sorely lacking and quite rude of the others to fail to follow Kettle's example!"

"I am simply an extraordinary man! There is no way Kettle could have forgotten me! I couldn't resist accepting an invitation from such an individual. I remember telling Kettle quite proudly that if Kettle needed any assistance that Croft Winston Caswell Halebard would be at Kettle's service. I believe I was chosen because of my capability to get the job done, no matter the means."

HOW DO YOU KNOW Bishop Forthwind Cedany?
"Ah! Bishop Forthwind Cedany such a kind man. Shame that kindness keeps Bishop Forthwind Cedany from doing some of the necessary things in life, like hunting them. Somehow Bishop Forthwind Cedany learned I was hunting someone and tried to turn me from my mission in life. I would not have any of it! I have no hard feelings for Bishop Forthwind Cedany trying to do what Bishop Forthwind Cedany feels is right, but I have a mission in life that leaves me with no room for hesitation."

Harry Nets offered to assist me in my quest and I heartily accepted!"

NAME: Ignace Karkasy

ABSTRACT:Living in reality, expressing in the aether.

INTENT:To find material for Art and even deeper to find the driving spark that influences all art.

FIRST ADVENTURE: Ignace was born to a rich family, so materials and money were never a concern. His first 'adventure' was to a downtrodden part of the city he lived in, which inspired his first poem,"Amongst them". It was at this point when Ignace realized he couldn't just be a drawer and painter. He had to be a true artist, expressing himself everyway possible. Poems,songs, paintings, sculptures, all of these fill Ignace's repertoire.

HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE? Kettle commissioned Ignace to paint a portrait for him, however Ignace felt that the painting was too good, and that he had enjoyed painting it so much that he refuse to accept payment for it. The beauty and truth of expression was payment enough.

WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU? Kettle knows Ignace is the kind of person that could immortalize a great adventure

HOW DO YOU KNOW JAZZ? Ignace met Jazz during an expedition to the next town over, accompanying Kettle. Kettle had to pass through the town and it gave Ignace his first experience outside of his own town. He ended up sculpting the kerfuffle that occurred between the two, Kettle's arm outstretched while the goblin attempted to shield his face. The small sculpture sits on Ignace's mantle to this day.

NAME:Harry Nets


ABSTRACT:
A multi-talented entertainer.
INTENT:
To be able to learn new daredevil acts, but more then that to have first hand experience of miracles or legends, and add them to his stories.

FIRST ADVENTURE: Harry had just achieved adulthood, leaving his house after his parents had kicked him out the door. The sound of the door slam echoed in his ears, as he got up from the ground and walked away shaking his head. His parents would never get it, that entertaining could be a 'reliable job.' He then made his way over to the nearest bar and offered to play his newly acquired flute, that he luckily had managed to have in his pocket before he got kicked out of home. The bar owner happened to be around and consented to Harry, and thus Harry took to the stage or wooden platform about a foot off the ground and at the far side of the room from the patrons. Every note he played he squeaked or squealed and loudly, a horrible noise which upset the patrons almost immediately. "Your rubbish," said one overweight gentleman with a thick beard, as he hurled some kind of fruit at harry, that he didn't try to recognize as he ducked under it. Then everybody else started throwing fruit, as they noticed that Harry still wouldn't get off the stage with his annoying flute. Needless to say he was covered in mushed fruit by the time he left the bar, and planned next time to practice before performing.

HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE?
Harry, had first met Kettle late in the day, in the middle of a town's square during a festival. There were all sorts of performers around, musicians, dancers, singers, people doing the three cups on a table-put a coin under a cup-shuffle the cups-guess where the coin went tricks and more. He happened to not be performing at the time, and noticed most of the people were enjoying the amateur shows the performers around were doing except for one person. It was Kettle, though he didn't know her name at the time and she looked around in a bored fashion. Knowing a bored person for an unhappy one and catching the color of her eyes, which were a pretty color, he called over to her, and told her to come see a 'real' show. He performed with daggers and flames, acrobatic skills, and more. Kettle didn't look bored anymore. For a time afterwards Harry travelled with her, got a sense of her adventures which she described while he in turn told stories with or without his jokes.

WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU?
Probably because of his charm, he was great at making people's jaw drop from death defying tricks and then telling stories which made them laugh, a great quality that can take the dread and depression out of any adventurer's heart.

HOW DO YOU KNOW Croft Winston Caswell Halebard?
Harry met Croft Winston Caswell Halebard, a name which almost tongue tied his very experienced word instrument, at a back alley of a town around midday. The Entertainer was just looking around a marketplace for some groceries when he heard the sound of metal hitting the ground. He followed the source of the sound, and that was when he encountered Croft Winston, a man who spun around very fast as he heard Harry's approach. Logically Harry, quickly asked the first thing that came to mind. "What are you doing?" Croft explained he was after them, and apparently they had been in a large metal container with the lid he lifted up to search in it and then apparently them had left the empty container and must have took off somewhere else. The story puzzled Harry and he tried to get to the bottom of it, asking this asking that. But he couldn't get any more details out of Croft besides 'them.' Eventually Harry offered to help Croft, find 'them', partly he was being the nice guy and partly he wanted 'them' in his stories as they sounded mysterious. @drewccapp

How do you Know Silcia Nonorie?
Harry met Silcia by chance, he was just passing by when he saw an elf? The apparent elf, was healing an elderly man who seemed to have fallen and scraped his leg. He was in shock as he approached her and watched as she healed the injury so that the fellow's leg looked good as new. He introduced himself and let her know that she was amazing. He thought she smiled, and he was eager to show his own skills, "Watch what I can do." He announced, as he brought out nine daggers to juggle in the air.

But, the elf became scared as he brought out the daggers, and before he could explain that he was only going to juggle, she ran away from him. He was left with a sad frown on his face as he didn't even get her name. @AiyvaGuard

NAME: Sarantsatsral Uiun Pepelu

ABSTRACT:
A travelling medicine-(wo)man

INTENT:
Wanderlust, and perhaps for the riches

FIRST ADVENTURE:
Sarant has been traveling as early as she had recalled, being the apprentice to a travelling medicine man. She probably does not remember her first adventure, perhaps it was a rather dull one. But one of the more memorable ones was with the sighting of an extremely large mansion, atop an even larger hulking beast which resembled a land tortoise taking its steps one at a time in an absurdly slow pace. She remembered musing to herself; if there would ever be a day when she would finally afford such a lovely abode.

HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE?
With winter closing in, Sarant had to get to the next town before she was trapped in the mountains, and with snowfall appearing earlier than anticipated - she had to hurry. Alas, it was within moments that she was caught in a snowstorm. She eventually found a suitable cave to rest. Sarant lit a fire, cozied up near the licking flames as she attempts to wait out the snowstorm. It wasn't moments later, that a silhouette appeared near the entrance. Another person who were also caught in the rather unexpected tidings of early winter. They shared the cave and the warmth of the flames, told stories and tales of their adventures. At the end of the endeavor, Sarant cheekily charged the person for her flames and company. That person, was none other than Kettle.

WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU?
Sarant's vast knowledge of herbs and their medicinal properties - along with her general understanding of the inner workings of botany. Also perhaps for her well-traveled experience.

HOW DO YOU KNOW Lila?
It was in one particular cave, where she met Lila. Fearing for her life, Sarant immediately offered her fish roasting in the fire-pit. Surprised at first, with the rather lack of appetite for a larger bird (Sarant) when the Jorogumo picked the stick of fish instead of her. They came to exchange a few words and merriment, to which Sarant charged Lila for her company, flames and the Fish-on-a-stick.

HOW DO YOU KNOW Jazzle Finks?
She met Jazz not in his best of conditions, slightly bruised and beat - to which Sarant immediately offered her expertise. She opened up her medicine box and began to apply it on the injured goblin; deftly cleaning the wounds with liquids, swabbing bruises with ointments, packed a grounded wrap of mixed herbs with instructions of use at tow - all without Jazz's approval. At the end, she charged Jazz a hefty sum - only to notice that her purse was stolen hours later. She assumed it was probably Jazz!

To be fair, Sarant never knew Clavic at all. She simply walked pass a lump of bones before she jokingly uttered; "No elixir could fix you out of that predicament!" To which it spooked her mindless when said lump of bones moved and turned towards her.

NAME: Nel Stevens

ABSTRACT:

Son of a pair of travelers, daughter of a merchant and a farmer.

INTENT:
With a father too sick to make the journey, and a mother that has to stay behind to look after him. Nel is to meet with Kettle, their once good friend, in their place.

Although she is loathe to admit it, a small part of her simply wants to get away from her home town.


FIRST ADVENTURE:
Adventure? Nel's spent almost her entire life in her sleepy village, outside of an occasional quiet vacation, or the trips into the city and countryside to sell her wares and crops. Nel's life has been devoid of a lot of excitement-- let alone the harrowing adventures her parents often regale to her. In recent years, it's been a struggle to even find the courage to step outside, considering the ridicule of being considered a "perverted witch." Most of her adventures take place in her head-- within hopes and daydreams...

And also normal night dreams.


HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE?
Nel... doesn't really know Kettle all that well? They met once or twice, of course, when Nel was much younger, when she was still Len Jr. and her parents were trusted traveling companions of the adventurer-- back before they had settled down. From what Nel can remember of the much younger Kettle, she was certainly... a nice lady? She was always really intense, but every time she came around she always had some neat toy or bauble for Nel, which was always very nice...

Her parents seemed really happy with Kettle around. Nel used to wonder why she stopped coming around, she'd almost forgotten about the scholarly adventurer before her family got the letter.


WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU?
She didn't-- The people she chose were Lenny and Henrietta Stevens, Nel's mother and father. They were once great adventurers, skilled in ways Nel could never be. They gave up that "uncertain life" to settle down on a farm, and build some kind of family-- or at least that's the story her parents feed to her.

For years Nel has suspected that her birth is what ultimately put an end to her parent's travels, and that they resent her for that-- even if that isn't true, Nel does know that her mother resents her for her 'life choices.' Her father, although more accepting, is sick, and perhaps sees this request from an old friend as a way to set his daughter on path in life where she might find a little acceptance.

Or maybe not? Nel doesn't really know. She's just happy to have a reason to leave, life after her... transition hasn't been the most pleasant.


HOW DO YOU KNOW IGNACE?
Nel doesn't really know Ignace, so much as she knows of him. She is a great admirer of his work and fosters a hope to meet him someday-- although she knows that desire is futile. She carves small kick-knacks for tourists to buy-- he creates the future and makes immortal the past.

To say he is an idol of hers is an understatement.

HOW DO YOU KNOW A'SHINOK DURAN?
The Praying Lizard Man? Nel has heard many versions of the story, but in each one, the story revolves around a man-sized flying lizard that was journeying from church to church-- her parents, only faithful to the Right of Rosewater and the Dance of Thorns, happened to be the pair to introduce the beast man to their church. Nel thinks the story is entertaining, but wonders if it's even real-- a humanoid lizard warrior with wings visiting all the churches of the world? That sounds just a little absurd!

HOW DO YOU KNOW LILA?
The Spider Lady? Nel's parent's have mentioned her-- once or twice. Apparently they never actually met her, but in keeping abreast with the news of the world, they have heard tales of the 'Spider Centaur Adventurer.' Imagine that! A lady with the bottom half of a spider. Nel once wondered if the two faced similar scorn, despite their completely different... body situations. Nel pictures her as seeming nice.

HOW DO YOU KNOW SARANTSATSRAL UIUN PEPLU?
Not at all! Nel's parents literally just mentioned that long name on her way out-- they wondered if Kettle was summoning her to, whoever she is, and if she was still alive, whoever she is, and if perhaps she could help with Nel's father's condition. Nel shrugged and told her parents she'd keep an ear open for the name. Wow! What a name it is!

To discover the whole world.

FIRST ADVENTURE|
Silcia was forced into solitude, her father, the king of Nale had kept her within the castle in fear that a man would kill her. Silcia's race was rare, being slaughtered for there body parts. Though, naive and painfully curious she left the palace at the correct time. She wandered off into the great distance, encountering multiple companions and enemies that she had fought. Silcia had viewed the world in a way, seeing it as a book being written from the heavens; recording humanities existence.

HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE?|
After being abandoned by her companion she quickly found Kettle. She seemed like no other woman; seemingly in search for knowledge, she matched her curiosity but with different Intent's. So after courting her for a few days within the area she was finally able to join his adventurers.

WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU?|
Silcia has experience and the dedication to go forward. Silcia can tend to wounds like any other healer but she has more knowledge. Experimenting on injuries she found a multitude of ways to tend wounds. A side from actual experience Kettle found it intriguing for that someone matched her curiosity.

HOW DO YOU KNOW [A'shinok Duran]?
Silcia had multiple memories of the Nale Palace. A'shinok reminded her of a personal guard that used to protect her during the time when the nations were in war. Even though she barely speaks to him she feels much more safer around the lizard.

NAME: Leon Marquise

ABSTRACT:
So much to be expected from such a young hunter.

INTENT:
The deepest desire of a hunter is to always be on the hunt, to never be torn away from the danger of the night and the thrill of eating or being eaten. However, that was his father's life. Leon seeks to know the meaning of the world, why it has always been eat or be eaten and possibly if there is something better in the world.

FIRST ADVENTURE:
A new hunter has to do something great to be acknowledged, so naturally trying to find the biggest and baddest of all would make perfect sense. But for Lean, going after an Gryphon was the worst idea in the world. He lost more than pride that day, his leg was replaced with wood. Since then he's learned that his goals are ahead of him but only planning ahead can get him through the toughest ordeals.

HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE?
Grom was his target for some time but Kettle quickly convinced him otherwise (by force no less). Teaching him a thing about thinking about the meaning of life, even of insignificant bugs, he developed a desire to know more instead of kill more. When they met he developed a bit of a crush on Kettle but never followed it (was promply rejected) since Kettle had other matters on her mind.

WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU?
Believing that he could benefit from perspective, Kettle also knows Leon has a great understanding of animals and their motivations. In other words, he can help track and identify animals of great diversity.

HOW DO YOU KNOW Lila?
A hunter finds all creatures on his list eventually, but Lila was a little more than a creature. Her sentient nature broadened his horizen when the two of them encountered each other stocking some prey. (He actually fell into her spider web) but by admitting he regretted many things in life, including exploring the world and never finding lofe, he escaped (she let him go).

HOW DO YOU KNOW A'shinok Duran?
Their fight was one to be remembered when Leon claimed victory (got lucky and escaped) a fight with A'shinok. To this day he remembers (has nightmares of A'shinok) the powerful and scaled creature. (Leon is freaked out by lizards, especially snakes).

NAME: Saira Khouri

ABSTRACT:
The bard attacks! Enemy A takes 21 damage!
An overly talkative bard trying to make the most of this world.

INTENT:
To spread the joys of music, and to learn to master a wider variety of instruments.

FIRST ADVENTURE:
As a bard, Saira has been here and there, but it wasn’t until later in her life that she gathered up the courage to travel across country borders and far away from her homeland. She originates from a rather well known city in the desert, known as a center of trade. She packed up her things, and made way into greener pastures. Literally.

HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE?
Not too long after she left home, Saira was playing outside of a bar before the owner “asked” her to leave. Low on finances at the time, she hesitated, but obliged, rather than make a scene of things. However before she packed up her case, Kettle threw in a few coins and even asked her to drink with her in the bar she had just been asked to leave. After, Saira would see Kettle around town and they would drink and share stories until they both had to leave town.

WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU?
Saira has the ability to make friends spectacularly quickly, she’s really rather social, and through this, she is often able to find out things rather quickly. While there are certainly language barriers, she believes that music can break through to anyone.

HOW DO YOU KNOW Silcia Nonorie?
Well, Saira wasn’t quite sure how it happened, but she does know that someone was mad at her. And it didn’t end well. To be quite honest, she probably wouldn’t be alive today if Silcia hadn’t happened by and healed her right up. She’ll never walk quite the same, but that’s still much better than the whole dying of blood loss and all.

Aloe

ABSTRACT:
An aloof Changeling who rather be lost than found.

INTENT:
To immerse himself in mazes, emerge more than victorious, and perhaps light the travelers’ way… if he ever feels like it.

FIRST ADVENTURE:
Swapped at birth for a human child, Aloe was raised inside the city. Often plagued by the voices of his human parents and the bustles of the city, he search for an escape. One night, his parents were particularly loud, as his lamp shook along with their rising voices. He snuck out into the backyard and found a small space beneath the bushes. Almost like magic, he found what seems like a different place. What is merely an over grown garden in his neighbor’s yard is a place of solitude in his eyes. He sat with the soil that dampened his feet and the hedges that loomed overhead. He marveled at what he hears – who knew silence could be so loud?

HOW DO YOU KNOW KETTLE?
It was rare to see a living person inside a decaying maze, and even rarer to find one that didn’t try to stab him on sight. Kettle was the first face he had seen in days that was not just a pile of bones. She sat next to a bonfire, roasting a meal, when he had crept close. Usually he would have shrug off such meetings and continue on his way unnoticed; however, Kettle has uncanny intuition. She noticed him in an instant and invited him to share the fire. He has to admit – Kettle wasn’t such a bad companion to have when navigating through the unknown.

WHY DID KETTLE PICK YOU?
His charismas may not have won him anything, but his experience certainly did. Having traversed numerous mazes and lived to tell the tale, Aloe is a capable navigator and scout. It helps that he’s both small and nimble to maneuver his way through tight spaces.

HOW DO YOU KNOW NEL STEVENS?
He had never met her. Heard of her? Unfortunately, yes. How could he have forgotten after her parents – the famous adventurers, Lenny and Henrietta Stevens – nearly drove him crazy with talks of their child? As much as he tried to ditch them in the caverns (the place he accidentally encountered them), their curious spirits (and talk of food) kept him in place – as well as the need to finish marking the right path out of here. Overall, they were nice people...

HOW DO YOU KNOW LEON MARQUISE?
It was quite a while ago. The hunter nearly killed him in a stone ruins, is what he did. Aloe was minding his own business, making marks along the walls, until an earthshattering roar made him break his chalk. As the earth trembled, he looked to the corridor -- to see a giant beast running at him while Leon was on its tail, weapons in hand. It's kind of hard to survive if the Changeling have only few rocks to chuck at it. Let's just say it took a while for things to settle down... with a few broken walls and bruises on his person.

NAME: Rurik
Valhall awaits me,
When I die!




ABSTRACT:
A veteran Varangian warrior on a quest to find adventure, women, loot, and access to Valhalla, in that order.

WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT:
Armor of the Allfather: an old, tattered and torn leather, fur and mail armor, covered in runic inscriptions and prayers to Óðinn: it is quite heavy, built to resist the bite of metal and cold alike. Rurik created it across the years, often patching pieces from the armors worn by enemies and friends.

Varangian Greatshield: this crude but sturdy wooden round shield, reinforced with iron, has been used by Rurik during many of his battles. Given to him when he first entered the Varangian Guard, the shield still bears the guard's insigna, a black raven, although now it is quite faded.

Berserker's Greataxe: gifted to him by the dying, wounded leader of his company when Rurik was serving in the Guard, this greataxe has bitten the flesh of dozens of enemies, and is Rurik's most loyal companion. Very heavy, it requires uncommon strenght to even swing it properly, but when in the hands of a Varangian warrior it can chop down trees, doors, and men alike.

Mjǫllnir Pendant: a small iron pendant, worn by Rurik at all times, shaped like the hammer of the Thunder God, Þórr. It has no practical purpose, but Rurik is firmly convinced that it's an amulet blessed by the gods.


DETAIL:
Raise a stone for all to see, runes carved to my memory!

Born from a Slavic mother and a Norse father, Rurik spent the first years of his life in the Varangian city of Holmgarðr, on the cold shores of the Baltic Sea. Trained to warfare since his childhood, at the young age of nineteen Rurik joined a group of his peers, on a journey to Miklagarðr, to join the famed Varangian guard. While serving the Roman Emperor, Rurik fought on many battlefields across the Mediterranean: from the warm, sun-kissed isles of the Aegean, to the torrid oceans of sand of Serkland, to the rocky mountains of Anatolia, Rurik was there, in the midst of the fray, under a hail of arrows, slaying enemies left and right with his battleaxe. A devout worshipper of the ancient gods of his people, Rurik, screaming the name of Óðinn, led many fearless charges into the enemy lines, eager to find glory, or Valhalla.

After five years spent serving the emperor of Miklagarðr, Rurik finally returned home, now no longer a boy, but a veteran carrying the scars of many battles. After that day, Rurik started to work as a mercenary for the many Varangian princes and lords of Garðaríki, and, when not fighting, entertaining a number of hobbies such as drunken brawling, drinking contests, and throwing himself between the arms of the nearest wench, all activities in which Rurik displayed an incredible talent, even superior to his martial prowess. One chilly winter day, Rurik was on a ship slowly sliding along the course of the Volga river, when suddendly, a quick hissing sound was heard in the air. Out of nowhere, arrows and spears began to rain from the sky and the snowy banks of the river, and the savage Komi began their attack. Immediately, Rurik grabbed his axe and his shield to attack the indigenous raiders, before feeling a piercing, warm sensation in his abdomen. As he yanked the arrow from his flesh, another bit his chest, and before Rurik could remove it as well, he saw his blood pouring all over the wooden planks of the longship, and he fell down as the Komi were jumping on the Varangian ship, his consciousness fading away.

The only thing he felt next was a cold, gelid, wet shiver across his body, gripping his flesh and bones. The river's icy embrace had taken him, and as he prepared to meet his end with a smile on his face, ready to greet the valkyries, he once again fell unconscious.

When Rurik woke up again, the first thing he understood was that he was far, far away from home, and the second one was that the place didn't really look like Valhalla...
