Adelisa smiled at Grant and nodded. "You? Better at cooking? I'll have to see it to believe it" she said with a giggle. She then added "of course! What party starts without me?" She grinned and held his hands. She wanted to kiss him, so badly she did, but she had to wait. Patience is a virtue my ass. Adelisa instead just said "I think you should go so I can sleep. Wouldn't want to accidently sleep through the party, right?" She smiled softly, but she didn't want him to go. He has to Addie! If he doesn't, you'll end up sleeping with him and that is not a good idea right now. Damn, her conscience was right.

Morning! A new day for his vacation! And yet another day closer to the rest of his life! But he was going to forget that for now. Hunter got out of bed with nothing but his boxers on, didn't want to sleep in jeans last night, too tired to get into any form of pajamas. Took him a bit to remember he was in a fancy condo and that the front door was not the kitchen door. He caught himself as he tried to open the locked door.

Hunter walked into the kitchen looking for a few things, Coffee, Food, and his keys. Last time he remembers having them is in the kitchen yesterday. He shrugged it off and made himself a cup of coffee, took him a while to find sugar but he found it. He put in a couple scoops then stopped, He had a long day yesterday, he was going to need the strength. He put in about 5 more scoops of sugar and added me coffee to his cup. He grabbed some cereal and and the milk, and being too tired, lazy, and not caring, he took a spoonful of dry cereal and took a gulp of the milk from the carton.

He put the milk down and looked out the window. "Day two of our epic vacation... man... wouldn't have even here if I hadn't already payed for the damn trip." He took another spoon full of cereal and a sip of the milk.

Jareth let out a deep sigh once the door closed behind her. Upset, he rubbed his face vigorously with his hands and tried to think of what to do next. He could have wandered outside, watched as the sun set over the waves. He could have found some pretty little thing to drink the night away with at the bar. He could have, but he didn’t. He had to keep his promise to Delilah, and to himself, that he would think this through. He never said he would do it sober ,though.

Jar turned and headed back into his own suite. In the bar area, he plucked a short glass from the shelves and splashed the first whiskey he had found in the fridge into it. Alone, he headed back to his bedroom, sipping on the ice cold liquor. The king sized bed was truly fit for a king, and he felt like the down feathers might swallow him as he laid there, staring at the ceiling. When he finished the whiskey, Jar lit up a cigarette and took a long drag before flicking the ashes into his empty glass. He didn’t notice when the tears silently traveled from his eyes to the pillow, he didn’t notice when the booze and the benzos had put him to sleep.

As a child, Jareth had night terrors. The only dreams he’d ever had were the ones that taught him how to scream in false chord. But this wasn’t one of those nights, instead, he dreamt of her.

He saw himself of singing to her, playing on the beach while she sat cross-legged in the sand. He saw her walking towards him, a vintage lace veil masking her features. He saw them fighting until their screams turned to sounds of pleasure. He saw her struggling to pick up an autumn leaf, belly round with child. He saw them both crying a lot, but he saw them in love…

The moment Jareth opened his eyes to the sunlight streaming in through the window sheers, he had his mind made up. This party, he would win her back at this party. Or he’d die trying. Jar spent the morning desperately trying to write down the song pouring from his heart. It came to him in his dreams. Afterwords, he had gotten ready with the boys, taking special care in his appearance. He wore his board shorts and a black mesh tank top that showed off his tattoos. Jar put on a little bit of eyeliner and styled his hair, remembering the way he looked the night they first met. He hoped that maybe tonight could end the way that one had, except for maybe not in a grungy bathroom stall.

When the guys headed down to the beach party, Jar had his acoustic strapped to his back. The beach was pretty crowded and there was music, but it wasn’t live. Jar could fix that. At some point, Hunter and Grant scattered off to who-knows where, but Jareth took a seat on a stool and began tuning the guitar. He was shaking with nervousness. Gods, he hoped he didn’t fuck this up like he had so many times in the past. He would do whatever he could to earn her forgiveness… but what could he say?

”When words fail, music speaks…” – Hans Christian Anderson

So Jareth played his music, hoping to catch the ear of the one girl in the crowd who mattered. The only one who had ever mattered… After strumming the first few chords, he began:

“It's the way that you blush when you're nervous.
It's your ability to make
me
earn this.”

Despite the nervousness, he played on, letting his emotions do all the singing. People noticed his song, even though the party music soared loudy around them. Girls had gathered around, some had their hands clasped to their mouths, enraptured with emotion, but most just looked around, jealous of the girl for whom this was intended. But where was Delilah? She had to hear him, this was his chance, this was all for her. His voice rose for the part of the song that spoke the volumes of his heart, the epiphany he had last night.

“While you were sleeping I figured out everything,
I was constructed for you, and you were molded for me.
Now I feel your name, coursing through my veins.
You shine so bright it's insane, you put the sun to shame.”

When his song was finished, Jar opened his eyes, not realizing he had them closed for so much of it. Anxious still, he looked up from his guitar and prayed to the gods that she would be there, please be standing there, Delilah…

Lila's broken heart soared as she saw Jareth give her a smile. It had been so long since she'd seen him smile at her, and Lila was aware of the butterflies in her stomach that still remained even after their break-up. She was sure he would jump at the chance of getting high with her after so many tries and fails. But when he spoke, Lila's heart felt like it had been hit with a hammer, and the butterflies fell dead and sank onto the pit of her stomach.

“Do you even know what that is? I need that, so it doesn’t get me high, and if you took it you’d probably just fall asleep. The good stuff is in my…” Jar stopped and rubbed his face with a flustered sound. It was obvious that this was proving to be something difficult for him. “Oh Delilah, you’re right there. We are screwed up, which means we need to stop acting the way we always do. What I mean is, we need some time to think before we make a huge mistake here. Can we do that, for each other? More importantly, for ourselves?” He paused and gave it some thought, maybe waiting for Lila to say something. When she didn't, he continued. “Listen, I heard that there is a party tomorrow night, it sounds like a lot of people are going to be there. I’m thinking they’re going to need a DJ, or a musician, so I’ll be there. But, I just need a day to process everything, and we can talk then. Okay?” Jareth stood up and took the pills from her, letting his fingers linger on hers a bit longer than he should have, and only making her hate herself because of the electric shock that ran through her at his touch: a clear sign that she was still completely in love with him. “Come on, I’ll walk you back.”

Lila had been quiet and expressionless all during his speech, and remained so even after she'd arrived at her room. She watched Jareth walk back to his suite with a bigger heartache than the one she'd had before. She was completely done with anyone and everyone that day, thinking it best to retreat to her room with the company of some booze in order to avoid any kind of confrontation. So when she entered the suite and saw Adelisa talking to Grant, she didn't even give them a second glance. Lila went straight to the wet bar and grabbed a bottle of tequila Rose and Bailey's before going back to her room. She spent the rest of her night listening to her favorite band and organizing her belongings on the closet and drawers between liquor swigs straight from the bottles. She'd downed about a third of each bottle before she passed out on her bed, too drunk to care about anything.

Delilah woke up the next day to a blazing hangover, with no idea of what time it was or when she'd passed out. Dazed, she trudged to the bathroom only to vomit her guts out on the toilet. I swear, I will never touch a damn drink in my life... she vowed as she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. Lila always thought taking a long bath helped her hangovers, and so she took one using a lavender bubble bath gel meant to be soothing and relaxing. Once done with the bath, she spritzed herself all over with her favorite Victoria's Secret body splash (which smelled of starfruit and white orchird), put on some underwear and a fluffy white bath robe, and walked out of the bathroom. She was feeling slightly better.

She left her room and walked to the kitchen, inhaling the delicious scent of brewed coffee. From experience, she knew coffee was the only thing her stomach kept down after a hangover. She was excited to find that the girls had left her some coffee still on the carafe of the coffee maker. She instantly felt guilty for avoiding them, but the best therapy for Lila when things like this happened to her was to be well left alone. She'd make it up to them with one of her famous breakfasts tomorrow. Lila poured the hot liquid onto the biggest mug she could find and walked to the fridge in search for milk. To her delight, a carton of her favorite vanilla milk sat on one of the fridge racks. She eagerly poured some milk onto her coffee until the contents looked brown, added a few spoonfuls of brown sugar and walked back to her room while mixing the contents of her mug. She'd spend the day being lazy and watching some movies while pondering attending the beach party or not. Maybe by that time she'd feel like facing society again.

Amelia woke up about mid-day with a massive hang-over. She remembered coming home after her swim and downing an entire bottle of vodka in just the time span it took her to watch one episode of the Bachelorette, then everything after that was a blur. She did not remember how she ended up in her bed. She was sure last night she was way to drunk to successfully make it back to her bed. Amelia decided not to bother the other two girls, sure that their nights had been just as hard as hers if not worse. So Amelia went running down the beach. She ran into downtown and got caught at a local bar letting a tattooed guy in his mid twenties with a tongue ring suck body shots off her tone stomach. Amelia stumbled home and went back to bed, only to wake again when beach party had already begun.

Amelia took a cold shower, hoping to rid the remainder of the buzz she still had from the bar earlier. She dried and curled her long dirty blonde hair. Amelia put her makeup on a little more dramatic, making her hazel stand out against her sun kissed tan facade. She walked to her bag and dug through the contents- trying to decide which bikini to wear. She pulled out a red bikini and slipped it on her lean body. The strapless, plunging top showed more cleavage then she would normally ever feel comfortable wearing and the tightness of the material pushed her breasts up and together. The bottoms were called 'cheeky' for a reason. The waist rode low on her hips and the back only covered about half her ass with thin ties on each side.

Amelia walked to the elevator to head to the beach party. She had a white see-through short sundress on as a cover up and was barefoot. Amelia made her way to the main floor then out to the beach party. As she neared, the loud music and grinding bodies up against each other made Amelia raise an eyebrow. She walked around the crowd of tangled bodies and suddenly heard live music being played- with a familiar voice. Amelia rounded the corner to see Jareth playing and girls completely surrounding him in awe. This would break Lila's heart! Amelia walked around the crowd of hypnotized girls and up to the bar. She sat on a bar stool and ordered a Sex On The Beach with an extra shot of a peach Schnapps. Amelia turned around to look through the crowd just as a hard body appeared in front of her. The guy she was letting suck liquor off her body earlier was standing there- right there. Amelia smirked and looked up just as he grabbed her Hand without a drink in it and pulled her into the middle of the grinding, barely clothed, bodies with Amelia up against him. Amelia had made it her mission to forget the past, to forget how much she loved Hunter. She didn't want to feel the pain anymore. And if it took letting a hot, tattooed guy grind against her lean body then so be it.

Hunter spent most the day sitting around playing games, searching for his keys (Which were still in the bowl from yesterday), eating junk food, and readings some comics he brought. After about 2pm or so he decided it was a good time to put on some pants. He grabbed a pair of cargo shorts, T-Shirt, pocket knife, and his wallet. Though after losing it before he learned to not carry more then $20 in cash when he goes out.

On his way out tot he party with the guys he found the bowl with all the keys in it, he was sober and he didn't plan on getting drunk tonight. Plus a drive later may help him think, maybe even clear his head. He grabbed the keys and put them in his pocket, just in case. And if he got drunk he was normally pretty good at telling when he was too drunk to drive, like when he made more mistakes then usual, that was a good way to tell that he was too drunk.

He made it down to the party, he wasn't very good at going to parties, the main reason he was going tonight was to help forget about everything going on. Didn't make it any easier, he liked loud music, but didn't like large crowds. Normally being with Amelia helped with this, but he had the guys with hi... and they were gone... off more then likely flirting with some girls around the party. He looked at his watch, still a few more hours until midnight it seemed. "Fuck it." He walked over to the bar and took a seat. "Give me something strong, I plan on going back to my place in like an hour or so." He figured he'd stop drinking when he had trouble reading his watch, that is his limit tonight.

He heard someone playing a tune in the background, sounded nice. The bartender came back with his drink, he didn't bother to ask what it was before downing the shot glass. "You know? I should have learned to play guitar, I bet I would have been a badass at it." he looked at the empty glass. "...Well damn... That was fast... Mind getting me another?" The bartender was relentless, but Hunter kept on insisting. He went through about 3 more glasses before he had trouble reading his watch.

He joined in on the party, now it was time for things to get real, He didn't need Amelia to have a good time at a party! He was in control of his own damn life, and now he was going to make the best of what was coming, He was going to be a dad! Sure he drank, tended to shoot random objects in his back yard, light things on fire, run over feet with his car, actually... now that he thought about it... he's a terrible role model for his soon to be kid. He would get better, he would have fun this week, then he would become better for this kid. Hunter wasn't going to screw his kid up just because he was a moron.

After having spent the day watching action movies in bed, Lila thought she was fit enough to leave her self-imposed exile and have some human interactions. With raised spirits, she got up to prepare for the party. She wanted to look good, but didn't want to bring much attention to herself. So she chose to wear a tight black tank top, a high-waisted and flowy coral mini skirt and some black flat sandals. She wore her silky brown hair down in all its glory, no accessories and just enough makeup to highlight her cheeks, soulful eyes and sweet smile. She left her room after bathing herself in Flowerbomb perfume, and called out to her friends to no response. She guessed they were already at the party, so she left the suite and walked to said location. Her nervousness grew at each step... Did Jar love her? Or would he tell her they'd continue on to live separate lives?

Lost in these thoughts, she arrived at the party. It was in full swing: everyone dancing to the booming electronic music, drinking, having fun. Lila made her way through the sea of sun-kissed bodies and was in a less crowded area when the chords of a familar guitar reached her ears. She could recognize the sound of that guitar anywhere: after all, she'd been the owner's #1 fan for the last eight months. She walked blindly towards the music, through a crowd of girls and had reached the front...

There, sitting in a bench and pouring his heart out into his song, sat the love of her life. He looked especially handsome, and Lila suddenly felt back in time, when she'd watched his band play for the first time. Her heart swelled with love and joy, and tears rolled down her cheeks at the song's lyrics.

It's your finger and how I'm wrapped around it.
It's your grace and how it keeps me grounded.
While you were sleeping I figured out everything:
I was constructed for you, and you were molded for me.
Now I feel your name, coursing through my veins.
You shine so bright it's insane, you put the sun to shame.

The music was soft and sweet, and the lyrics full of feelings and meaning. It was exactly how she felt about him too. Ever since the moment she'd laid eyes on him on her birthday, her life had never been the same. There had been something unexplainable about him, even magical, that had drawned her to him. She'd thought it was just lust and desire at first, but soon found out that it was love. Jareth was her soulmate, and theirs was a connection unlike anything in this world. No matter what hardships they'd gone through, her heart still belonged to him.

When Jareth opened his eyes, Lila gave him her biggest smile. With the tears of happineess still present, she mouthed at him: "I love you so much, my JarBear." And there was no doubt in the world that he loved her too. She was going to make things right this time. They would make things right. He would become her forever.

"Well, if you want to get rid of me that badly..." Grant teased, leaning in and giving her a brief hug. "Sleep well, Addie." He said once at the door, turning back and looking at her tenderly. He walked out and closed the door carefully behind him. Once in his room, he let out a whoop and headed to shower. They'd fixed things. They weren't going out, but they'd resolved a little bit. And that was a good start. He'd made her laugh, and that was even better. Grant climbed into bed feeling more at peace than he had in a while. The vacation had been a good idea after all. He'd have to thank Hunter for suggesting it.

Grant spent most of the day at the beach, alternating between swimming and chatting with the girls who approached him. He didn't have much interest in them, his thoughts happily occupied with hopes of restoring things with Adelisa, but he enjoyed their company anyway. He flirted with them lightly, complimented them, made them laugh with all his normal charisma. He went back to the condo for a shower before the party, dressing in a plain white button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, blue shorts and flip flops. He and the guys headed back to the beach, but by the time they arrived the party was already in full swing. Jareth had his guitar slung over his back, and Grant had an idea of what he was going to do, so he slipped away into the crowd and mingled easily with the crowd. All the while he kept an eye out for Addie.

Grant tried not to drink especially in public where he could easily screw up his reputation, so he contented himself with one shot of vodka to loosen up and quickly found himself dancing with a pretty blonde girl. As they danced, he couldn't help but think that she seemed so... varsity and preppy. No tattoos or piercings that he could see, her long curly hair and bright blue eyes... She'd probably complement him just right, and he could see himself going places with her that he'd never taken Addie, possibly even to meet potential employers. But as nice as the girl was, he couldn't see them doing any of the crazy things Addie had made him do, like playing pretending to be British nobility to get into an exclusive restaurant or even just going on the worst rides at a theme park over and over again. The question was, which was more important to him?

The heavy thoughts meant he was distracted, so he stopped dancing with her after a while, getting her name and number before moving away. Hearing the sound of Jareth's guitar over the party music, he moved towards the source of it and found his friend surrounded by a crowd of people listening to him. He spotted Delilah standing at the front of the crowd, listening with a look of rapture on her face and nodded. Jareth hadn't been kidding about his singing skills getting him girls, even the ones who soaked him with martinis.

Adelisa jumped out of bed with a grin. She loved parties, as would anyone her age, and she loved the atmosphere. She grabbed her dark blue bikini and scarf that ties around the hip. Blue eyes filled with excitement, Adelisa ran out the door. She was so ready to have fun and forget all the drama of yesterday. Crying wasn't her favorite thing to do, especially on vacation.

She ran down to the beach and her eyes immediately went to Jareth, who was on the stage surrounded by girls. She glared daggers at him. Of course he would take up the stage. The show off. She rolled her eyes and turned to see Grant walking away from a pretty preppy blonde. Her heart sank at the sight, but he moved toward the stage and she spotted Delilah gazing at the show off on stage. She looked around again and saw Amelia all over a heavily tattooed guy. Her eyes widened and she saw Hunter by the bar.

She shrugged and walked over to Hunter. She still remembered the blonde girl with Grant and she turned to the bartender. "I need three shots of tequila, three shots of Amarillo, and two cups of vodka." She turned to Hunter and smiled solemnly. "Might as well party hard right?" She glanced at the empty glasses and laughed, adding "but it seems you've already known that."

The gods must actually be real, as Delilah’s presence made a believer of an atheist rockstar right then. Jar couldn’t remember the last time he felt so happy, as he looked up and saw his precious Lila standing there. Even though she was crying, it was something about the simplicity of her appearance, glowing tan and warm in the ocean breeze, she’d never seemed more beautiful.

You shine so bright it’s insane, you put the sun to shame.

Jareth stood up, nervous as a school boy and slid the acoustic guitar around so it was still strapped to him, but behind him now. ”I love you so much, my JarBear” she mouthed the words through her tears, he could swear his heart flew out of his chest in that moment. Jareth practically ran to her, trying as hard as he could not to trip in the sand. Some of the feminine on-lookers gasped and cooed, pretty much all eyes were on Delilah. Jar put his hands on her cheeks looked deep into her eyes. “Bombs, I’m so sorry. I promise to sing to you every night if you’ll let me. I’d rather die at your very hand than spend another day without you in my life.” He probably should have waited for her to say something, but he didn’t. He couldn’t.

Their lips met with a crushing force that could have set the very waves of the ocean into reverse motion. Soft, she was sooo soft. In two months he had forgotten how good her skin felt, the wonderful way she always smelled, and how her eyelashes softly tickled his cheeks when they kissed. He inhaled deeply, as if he could breathe it all in and keep the moment forever, because if she ended this right now, he would do just that: savor this memory until his dying day. When he finally had to stop for breath, and their lips parted, they realized people were cheering and clapping as if they’d just witnessed a marriage proposal. Jar looked at her and laughed nervously.

One drunk guy in the crowd held up his beer and cupped his hand to his mouth before yelling “Play Free Bird!” Jar looked at the guy and shrugged with a smile “I’m afraid I’ve never heard of it.” It was a sarcastic lie, of course, every self-respecting rock musician knew how to play the Lynyrd Skynyrd classic. But Jareth couldn’t even think of playing right now, as his future hung on whatever Delilah would say or do next.

And like a deer in headlights,
I meet my fate.
Don’t try to fight the storm,
you’ll tumble overboard,
the tides will bring me back to you…

Hunter was enjoying the party, as far as enjoying parties went. Still felt weird more or less being on his own. The guys went off to do there own thing, he was kinda screwed on fixing things with the one person he actually gave a shit about, and he was drunk again. He normally didn't get this drunk all the time, crazy couple of days though.

Then something he did not expect too happen happened. Adelisa came over and sat next to him. She commented about the empty glasses in front of him. He laughed a bit at the thought of everything. "Party hard, that's one way of putting it." He looked at his drink. "Ya, more like trying to figure out what the hell I'm going to do with my life." He drank the last of the shot glass. "It seems no matter what I do something goes wrong, Got into collage finally, lost my damn job. Got the girl on my dreams, screwed it up because I am a fucking moron. Try to get things somewhat better but then I realize... It's not getting better... I am not ready for this, I mean I'd make a shitastic father!" He grabbed one of Adelisa's glasses of vodka when it came and drank some of it. "Ya, best case scenario now, hope I can still graduate, and attempt to get several part time jobs in hopes of earning enough money." He finished the shot glass. "Wow this is really good Vodka."

Hunter lost focus for a moment, he had about one drink too many by this point. After he gained back his focus he realized, he was ranting all about his problems he can imagine Adelisa going thought some pretty messed up crap as well. "What about you? You having any luck on this vacation?"

A group of exotic-looking girls surrounded Amelia in a matter of seconds. One took Amelia's now empty glass and replaced it with a glass containing what would amount to five shots of tequila. Without thinking it through completely, Amelia tilted her had back and with a few swallows the tequila was gone. In this amount of time she had not even noticed the tattooed guy whom she was dancing with had left to go to the bar. One of the girls grabbed Amelia's waist and danced hip to hip with her. Amelia giggled, the alcohol making her laugh at everything, and danced back against the woman. Amelia danced with the woman, forgetting all her hurt, forgetting everything- except Hunter. More alcohol would do the trick!

Amelia stumbled over to the bar and grabbed a long neck bottle of cheap beer before returning to the group of girls with the drink in her hand. She sipped and danced, danced and sipped, until suddenly she was holding an empty bottle and the woman she was dancing with was holding her up. Amelia felt a strong arm wrap around her back then under her knees, and suddenly she was being carried in someone's arms. She didn't care who it was anymore. She felt nothing- not a single thing- and it was wonderful. Her brain wasn't spinning it's wheels trying to process why things happened or how to fix them. She was drunk, and being carried by some guy over to a circle of lounge chairs where people sat around a small fire.

Amelia sat in the guy's lap, not bothering to even look who it was, or ask his name. But she saw the tattoos on the arms that were wrapped around her. Amelia had never been this drunk. Sure, she drank, but se was always the most sober one of the three girls. But tonight she wanted to forget, and that's what she did. She forgot her morals, her name, who she was with, or why she cared.

Out of the corner of her eye she caught a glimpse of two people kissing. "Hey! They look familiar- aw shit," It was Jareth an Lila. Her hand hit her forehead as she prayed that this wasn't just some desperate attempt by Jareth to get in Lila's pants. Amelia didn't forget the way Jareth looked at her, calling her Bombs, he might as well have just asked to take her to bed. Amelia tried to stand to go over and ensure Lila was okay, but her drunk legs decided not to work, so she stayed seated in the mystery guy's lap- accepting another long neck when someone offered it to her.

Adelisa looked down at her drinks and frowned. She downed the shots and the cup of vodka like a pro, her head swimming almost instantly. She looked at Hunter as he spoke, but she shook her head and said "you're not going to be a shitastic father. You're going to be great." She sighed, looked out to the crowd and said "well, Grant, even though he said all these sweet things to me yesterday, was with a preppy blonde that could suit him better."

She smirked and said "you could say he's going to make an awesome lawyer." She ordered another round of shots for her and him. "To living past the fairytale, because who knew this was beyond the ending?" she said loudly and knocked back a shot. Of course, when she poured her heart out to someone they went off and found someone better. That was what she was for, wasn't she? Atleast she didn't sleep with him last night. Then she would've felt used.

Adelisa spotted Grant and sighed. He could do anything to her and she would always come back. That's the worst part of being broken; she always went back to the source.

Hunter was drunk, he was aware of what was going on around him, though he may have lost both his filter and ability too react well in a situation. Then he heard about Grant and the blond. "Wait... he did what?! After all that?!" he downed another drink. "Ass Fuck!" He slammed his fist holding the shotglass onto the bar. "I mean who does that, pretends that things could still be okay and..." He caught a glimpse of Amelia with a big tattooed. Dancing, flirting, lapping?! He wasn't sure if that was a correct term or not but that asshole was with the girl of his dreams! And she was on his lap?!

He drank several more shots. "Nothing can go right, I think I financially get a solution to make this hole baby thing work and she's with another asshole!" He downed another shot. "I mean! I least I'm trying!" He started on the next shot. "I mean, I know I screw up a lot but HEY! I am trying, those mistakes I am doing are that! Mistakes!" he finished the glass. "I didn't choose to get fired! I don't remember that girl! And I tried! I am still Trying!" He looked at the drink. "These shots are not as strong as I would have hoped... Truth be told i was hoping to pass out like 3 shots ago..."

He finished his shot and stood. "Fuck this, I am going to fix this once and for all." He walked over to Amelia and the tattooed guy. With out waiting for a reaction from anyone he landed his fist into the tattooed guys face, throwing him back several feet and knocking him out. This was something that was definitely a challenge for Hunter, he was not a strong person. He could hold his own in a fist fight, but knocking someone out on the first punch was not an easy feet. "That was me! That was ALL ME!" He walked back to the bar before anyone could react to the situation.

He sat back down next to Adelisa. "That felt good, Haven't felt that good in years." He took a sip from the empty glass. "Why the fuck would Grant do something like that?! I mean... You're an awesome girl." He grabbed a new glass. "Why would he fuck up all that... why would he ruin what you guys had... why would she do that..." He finished the glass. He'd drop his head on the counter, he would do what he could to hide his tears. "I tried..."

He got up after a moment and wiped the tears from his face. Then he just took some deep breaths. "Adelisa, you're an awesome person. You don't deserve to be with a guy like Grant. Someone who gets your hopes up then goes out with another random as hell person." What happened next it's hard to say what caused, the alcohol, the emotions, maybe a revenge scheme, or maybe he just felt connectable with Adelisa, before he knew it, he kissed her. He felt alone, and felt that she was the only person who even had an idea what he was going though. He felt... safer with her.

Adelisa watched him in shock as he walked over at punched some guy, then came back and talked to her. Then, he did the one thing she never expected, he kissed her. The stranger thing: she kissed him back. She knew it wasn't good to kiss her best friend's ex, but she was in pain and so was he. Her eyes were closed and a tear slid down her cheek. He was right. She didn't deserve to feel the way Grant made her feel. She deserved better.

He must have felt the same way or he wouldn't have been kissing her. Then again, after her he would find someone better. It always happened. She must have been distracted because she pulled away slowly and starred at him through teary eyes. "W-we… we can't do this…" she said softly. "Amelia is my best friend… Grant is yours…"

Amelia couldn't see straight, the alcohol was all hitting her at once. She wanted to go back to the condo- to sleep this away. This party wasn't giving her any hope for her future unless it was becoming an alcoholic. Just as she was going to stand she saw Hunter then as quickly as he appeared he was gone again. She didn't even turn to check on the guy on the ground. She stumbled after Hunter, losing him in the crowd for a moment. So she followed her instinct that said he would be at the bar. Amelia pushed we way through the grinding bodies which was much harder when you were drunk. "Hunter, what the-" Her voice caught in her throat at the aight before her. Dela and Hunter were kissing. Suddenly Amelia felt like she was going to be sick. She stared at them, the guy she had been fighting depression so hard just to get over. He had just knocked someone out, but yet Hunter just last night had said everything was over between them. He had assured her that things would not work out right now. Hunter said we had things to take care of first.. Like apparently kissing her best friend.

And Adelisa kissed him back? Had Dela not been the one to hold Amelia when she could not stop heart wrenching sobs after that night a hunter cheated on her? Amelia turned and walked back through the crowd, this time shoving anyone who stood in her path. She walked as fast as her still shaky legs would take her, but half way back she fell on her hands and knees- throwing up the contents of the drinks she had consumed. Amelia stood back up and with her face in her hands let out an ear-piercing scream. She didn't know what emotion to listen to- the hurt, the anger, the overwhelming sorrow. Hunter could have kissed ANYONE! Anyone but her best friend..

Amelia made it to the condo and walked up to the room. She pulled on a black sundress over her bikini and balled her long blonde curls into a messy bun. She grabbed her cigarettes and walked to the outdoor pool. She was alone, everyone was at the party. Amelia lit the cigarette and wiped away the mascara tears running down her face as she inhaled the smoke. She let a breath out and looked at the water that caught moonlight. She took in another inhalation of the cigarette before letting the tears fall once again, balling herself in with her knees up against her chest.

Delilah watched Jareth practically run to her, conscious of everyone's eyes on their little scene once again. She wrapped her arms around Jar when he'd reached her just as he put his hands on her cheeks and looked deep into her eyes. Her heart was beating loudly in her chest. “Bombs, I’m so sorry. I promise to sing to you every night if you’ll let me. I’d rather die at your very hand than spend another day without you in my life.”

Before she could even think of something to say, Jareth put her lips to hers and kissed her with the intensity of a Their lips met with the intensity of a nuclear bomb, and Lila saw fireworks in her closed eyelids, just like the first time they'd kissed. His lips tasted of peppermint and liquor, the best flavor in all the world, and he smelled of spices and all things manly. When their lips parted because of breathlessness, they realized people were cheering and clapping as if they’d just witnessed a marriage proposal. Jar looked at her and laughed nervously, and Lila simply blushed and smiled at him.

She knew he was waiting for a response, so Lila simply decided to quote a song. "Maybe our relationship isn't as crazy as it seems. Maybe that's what happens when a tornado meets a volcano. All I know is that I love you too much to walk away now."

Their movie moment was interrupted by a drunk guy in the crowd yelling “Play Free Bird!” at Jareth. He looked at the guy and shrugged with a smile “I’m afraid I’ve never heard of it.”

Her arms still around him, she chuckled. "You little liar. You told me that was one of the first songs you ever learned..." Lila gave Jar a butterfly kiss. "Anyway, how about we make up the most of those two months we spent without each other, huh, JarBear?"

Jareth chuckled, took her waist and leaned into her ear. "That sounds like a deal, Bombs."

Holding hands, the couple walked around the sea of hot, sweaty people, trying to find a place to sit, and miraculously found one seat available at a circle of lounge chairs where people sat around a small fire. Lila smiled devilishly at Jareth, and he smiled back, completely in on what she was thinking. He sat on the lounge chair, leaned the guitar on the chair, and Lila sat on his lap. They began to kiss passionately as Lila straddled him, confirming that the fire that united them was still as blazing as it always had been. It was only when her lips hurt that Lila finally broke their kiss, shifting her position in the chair so that she was resting her head on Jar's shoulder while he softly stroked her hair. They were quiet for a few minutes, watching the flames and savoring the closeness in their own little, blissful world.

Lila looked up at Jar, stroking his handsome face. "I want to dance, love. Do you want to dance with me, baby? Or do you want us to go straight to my room to celebrate?"

Jareth thought about it for a moment, deeply tempted to run off to Lila's room to make up for two months of separation. He kissed her softly, then said: "We'll have the whole week to celebrate, so dancing the night away sounds like a plan."

They got up, and Jar's eyes fell on the guitar. He turned to Lila with his face slightly red. "Ummm, I think I should be giving this to Adelisa... It's her guitar, after all."

Lila burst out in laughter. "That's so cute. You win my heart back with a guitar that belongs to a rival band member. Classy."

Jar slung

The pair set out to blindly find Adelisa, and what they weren't prepared for was the scene they encountered as they entered the first bar on their way. The two of them were on plain sight, empty shot glasses surrounding them, sharing an intimate kiss... Hunter and Adelisa.

Lila's eyes widened and her mouth fell open in shock. Jar, on the other hand, ran a nervous hand through his hair while softly muttering "Shit." How could they do something like that? The day before, they both had been talking to their exes about how much they'd missed them and how sorry they were for hurting them. And, suddenly, alcohol made them do stupid stuff like fool around with the ex's best friend?! They'd both broken one of the friendship rules: YOU DO NOT, BY ANY CHANCE, GET INVOLVED IN THE LEAST WITH YOUR EX'S FRIENDS, EVER.

To make matters worse, Milli stumbled into the bar, very drunk herself. "Hunter, what the-" she began to say, but voice caught in her throat when she processed the the sight before her. With a heartbreaking expression, Amelia turned on her heel and staggered away, into the crowd and out of sight.

"Oh my God!" Lila burst out, a disgusted expression on her face directed at Hunter and Adelisa. "What the hell do you two think you're doing, betraying your friends like that? You two are horrible, and should feel ashamed of yourselves." Lila turned to Jareth, who was silent with shock. "I have to go after her, JarBear. She's like a sister to me, and I can't just leave her to do something dangerous to herself. I'll catch up with you later." She gave him a kiss. "I promise I'll make it up to you, boo."

And with that, Lila hurried out of the bar and tried to follow the nonexistent trail to Amelia. She pushed people roughly out of her way, frantic to find her best friend. Lila kept an eye out around the crowd around her, but a hunch told her that she'd find Milli at the condo. Once there, she thought the elevators taking her up to her room were being extra slow on purpose, and she struggled with her suite key. When she finally got access to the suite, Amelia was nowhere to be seen, but a glance out the balcony revealed that she was the lone figure in the condo's outdoor pool. Lila ran her way down there, and found Amelia balled up in a chair with her knees on her chest and a cigarette on her lips. Mascara-stained tears rolled down her cheeks, making trails on her lovely cheeks. Lila walked up to her and crouched next to Milli's chair.

"Honey, I just want to say that I'm here for you: always have been, always will be. I'm sorry I've been so secluded since last afternoon and was too selfish to see that you needed my support. I'm here now. Just tell me what you want me to do." Lila said gently, waiting for Amelia's response.

“Oh, sure…” Jareth mumbled under his breath, watching in awe as Delilah ran off after her best friend in need. “Just leave me here, right after professing my love to you, pouring my heart out in front of hundreds of strangers. It’s cool.” He mumbled some more, although it was more sarcastic than anything. He understood ‘the girl code’, it was pretty similar to ‘bros before hoes’, at that thought, he glared daggers at his scrawny best friend. What an idiot, Grant is going to beat the shit out of him when he finds out. But, more than anything, Jareth felt suddenly very alone and extremely awkward, he looked between Adelisa and Hunter with a very uncomfortable face before finally landing his gaze on Adelisa.

“Well, uh,” he began, knowing full well that she didn’t really like him much, which only made things worse. What the hell, Bombs, did you have to leave me with her?, he thought. At least she had promised to make it up to him, he’d make sure to hold her to that. “We came over here, because I wanted to give you this.” Jar unstrapped the guitar from his back and offered it to her “I was hoping to see you take the stage yourself, but I can see you are a bit, indisposed…” at that, he glanced over to a very drunk and stunned Hunter. “What the fuck were you thinking, mate? Grant is going to pummel you for this…”

Hunter laughed at what Jareth had said. "Really? So it's okay for him to go after every girl who he sees but I finally go for one person who even somewhat udnerstands what I am goign through and I AM THE BAD GUY?!" Ya, maybe kissing Adelisa wasn't the best of choices, But Amelia and Grant were being ass holes about the situation first! He places some change on the bar counter. "I'm done with this shit. Fuck you all!" He stormed off to the parking lot, grabbing the keys to his El Camino. Took him a moment to unlock the door and cram the keys into the ignition but he got it.

After several turns of the starter the car rang to life, before anything could stop he he gunned it into reverse. He shifted the El Camino into drive and gunned it, he didn't care what was going on, he just needed to get away for a while. He was so pissed off about the situation he didn't notice the grinding the car made as he shifted gears, or the ping the car made as it went over the curb. Nor did he notice his own reaction times slowing down.

He made it onto a back road where he could keep the acceleration going, he went from 40-50, then 55, 60, 65, just kept going faster, the rush from accelerating is what made him feel better right now. 75, 80, 85, the old car started to grind more and more, 95, 100, 105. The engine was old and poorly maintained, if one was paying attention the strain of the engine could be heard, If one was to press on the brakes they would notice they were failing as the brake fluid was leaking out, if one was to pull the emergency brake they would also notice it wasn't in good enough condition to stop the car at its speed.

The right rear tire was the first to go, *BOOM* It exploded forcing the car into a skid, before Hunter could react the car was on its side. he felt the force of the metal door against his arm as the car raised from the side into the air, then on the other side. The car did several more flips before coming to a stop back on all four wheels. Hunter lay motionless, blood running down his head and arm, and the seat belt holding him in, one of the few things that actually still worked in the old thing.

Adelisa looked down at the ground. She was used. Again. Right from the horse's mouth, Hunter said they were both being assholes and he wanted revenge. She looked up at Jareth as tears fell "well, I guess now you know." She put her hands on her face and sobbed. She didn't want to be horrible. Now, both her friends hated her, her ex again made her feel good and let her down, and someone used her to get back at her friend. Why was she always the source use?

She stood up as soon as Hunter left and said to Jareth "I shouldn't be near you. You might use me too." She grabbed her guitar and walked toward the condos. Now, no one was there for her. Stupid Hunter, why did he have to kiss her? He ruined everything and made her feel exactly how Grant treated her. She was right. She was the girl everyone used. She held onto the guitar and sobbed. No one cared. No one. Maybe… maybe she should just end it. Maybe it would be better if she were no longer there.

She took her guitar and saw Amelia and Delilah. She saw Amelia and started balling. Amelia was her best friend, one of the girls that helped her try not to commit suicide, and Adelisa was the reason she was hurt. Adelisa walked into her room and locked the door. She never locked her door, but she needed too. This was something she needed to do herself. She started writing a letter to everyone. That was her first step.
