"What can I say, I take my vitamins." Nightwing said with a small grin on his face, his eyes examining the woman. It was hard to believe the same woman was having dinner with him a few hours ago, and seemed to be enjoying herself a lot. Now she was nothing but seriousness and sadness, as if she didn't want to do this, but had to. The more she talked, the more his body eased a bit. It was easy to see she wasn't threatening. But his concern didn't lower, and every once in a while he would glance over at Tim. A part of him started to melt when she had to catch herself from crying, especially at the certain someone he could only assume was Dick Grayson, himself. When she stopped talking, and locked eyes with him, he gave a bit of a sigh. "Miss Dent, I know this is your father, and you just found out who he truly is, but there is a lot of things the newspapers and police reports don't say about him." Nightwing began.

"He's a very dangerous man. He's suffering from multiple disorders like Multi-Personality disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder--"

"The point is, Miss Dent, is that it is too dangerous for you to be close to this man, working undercover as a vigilante, and to let him try and influence you with his intentions." Nightwing said gently. "Whatever you can tell us about your father's plans will be helpful, and I promise you that you, and the person who care about will not be harmed." He didn't know if any of this would get through to her. He had a feeling that she won't be happy with this, but to be completely honest he wouldn't be happy with Abbie joining Two-Face's gang. This man was extremely dangerous, and if he found out that she was ratting him out to Nightwing or the Police, god knows what he would do to her. There was also the fact that the GCPD wouldn't know she was undercover. It could end badly in so many ways.

"Hey uh, Nightwing." Robin said, nodding towards the roof ledge. The two men walked over to the ledge, talking quietly. "She might be useful." Tim said finally. "I know its dangerous, but from what you've seen, Harvey tried very hard to protect her. Both by hiding his true identity and the warehouse incident. He's a sucker for her."

"It's not going to happen, Dent is ruthless and can turn at any moment--"

"Don't be afraid of him, Dick. I know you and him have a history but--"

"I'm NOT afraid of him." Dick whispered harshly.

"All I'm saying is that we have an opportunity to predict his moves before it happens, and it sounds like Dick Grayson will be a main target in his new plans... What do you think Bruce would do--"

"Bruce isn't here, Tim." The two glared at each other, and it annoyed Dick on how much they were similar. Tim was like the little brother he never had. Dick sighed, and the two of them turned back towards Abbie.

"What exactly do you have planned?" Robin asked cautiously, Nightwing examined the woman in white, waiting for an answer.

Never did Abbie expect to be in this type of situation. Her father always came across as a good man just working hard and taking care of his daughter. Now she was introduced to him in a whole new light and… well it was terrifying. As a photographer for the paper she knew exactly what went on in the city and was exposed to the aftermath of shootouts, robberies, drug exchanges and the likes. Now she was in the middle of it with the one person she would have never expected.

Now she had to wait while the bat-boys debated between themselves. Her hands ran gently along her arms; thank god Dick didn’t touch her there tonight or she probably would have yelled in pain. That bastard shocking her so badly; it’s even more surprising to see Nightwing on his feet after the encounter. Though, it was funny… as her eyes feel on Nightwing she realized why they had been so aggressive to follow her. The limo must have been owned by her father, the night with the Penguin and the warehouse... they knew. They knew and they didn’t tell her…

When they turned to her and Robin asked her the question she straightened up her stance and pulled her hands from her biceps allowing them to dangle freely at her sides. “Well, I can understand your lack of trust with me due to who I am but I thought you could shadow me later on tonight. I’m meeting with the Penguin face to face down by the docks to show him who exactly he’d be dealing with and the deal for arms is supposed to go down tomorrow night at a different location; but I’m not sure where yet. My father has this idea of getting my face out there so people know who exactly they’re dealing with and who’s going to take over.”

“Please…” She said softly as she stared down the two men. “Understand that I’m in both an optimizing position and a difficult position. I have access to all the crime dealers where in the city and can learn the whereabouts of their hideouts. I’d like to take them out one by one but leave my dad for last until I have the preparations for my escape from his wrath. I feel as though, no matter how much he thinks of me as his daughter, if he found out I was the one ratting him out; he wouldn’t hesitate to kill me. However, if I meet either one of you face to face outside of private meetings I’m not holding back. I will fight you, I will threaten to kill you and I will be vicious. I don’t expect special treatment and I do expect a fight and to get hurt. The minute you don’t hold back a punch someone’s going to expect something. If you have the chance to use me as a bargaining tool to make your escape, you have to take it. The last person anyone in the underbelly wants to mess with is my father. If he found out, while with them, that I was taken hostage and they didn’t give what you wanted, he’d kill them without thinking twice.”

She nodded firmly to them in an attempt to make it clear she wasn’t joking before crossing her arms. “Well?”

Dick didn't talk much as he watched the blonde talk, and describe just exactly she had planned. She clearly has had time to think about all of this in the solitude of her hospital bed for quite some time... And Dick was very unsure about this. "What you're asking us is to let you join a major crime organization so you can try and kill your father's most trusted men and women." Nightwing said flatly, Robin also shifted a bit. "This is pretty hard to believe, Miss Dent. And I know we are under new management and all, but we still don't like people getting themselves in danger for something that we can eventually do." Robin said with a softer tone in his voice, looking at Dick.

Is this how Bruce felt so many times? Is this how he felt when he picked up the newly orphaned kid on the streets, where he taught him so much more than just fighting? He still remembered the look on Bruce's face when he found out his secret identity so long ago... Why did Bruce Wayne put so much faith and trust into Dick Grayson, and all the others he took under his wing? Staring at Abbie right now, he couldn't help but keep these thoughts out of his head. What if he said yes? How long would it be until she was killed, or seriously injured because Nightwing signed her death sentence right here and now? What if she was just playing them, and working for Two-Face right now?

But he remembered the first time he met Abbie. How she stumbled for her words. He remembered the party, playing pool in the Manor, and the kiss they shared just earlier tonight... "If you want to do this, you work on our terms." Nightwing said. "No killing. You find anything ground breaking, you tell us. You get in too much trouble, you find us. If you're lying to us, we will find out, and we have had very bad history with liars."

"And before anything... Think about just what you're doing. Once you start this, you will be an enemy to Gotham. The police won't be easy to you if they see your face. Your reputation, everything you've worked hard for in your life is over. There won't be going back." Nightwing's voice almost broke, but he kept his composure.

"Wait." Barbara said in both of their ears. "We can't possibly do this. Does she even know how to defend herself?"

"Oh she knows how to do that..." Nightwing said under his breath. "But how much does she know?" Tim asked, looking at his friend. "Maybe we should--"

"No."

"Miss Dent, if you are really set on doing this, then you should get proper training. You know, with the big leagues. Luckily for you, Batman's most skilled and best student is standing in front of you." Robin said, not talking about himself. Nightwing glared at the man with venom. Were they seriously going to say that they are going to train her to fight?

This is just an average night for most people. Not everyone spent their time bartering on a rooftop with the two super heroes about how one can help save the town. Her eyebrows rose in the direction of Nightwing when he said that she would have to go by their terms. His listing caused her to nod. The one thing he said that worried her was ‘no killing anyone’; her face flinched slightly. The thought of killing someone sent an uneasy feeling through her body and she didn’t want to do that. Plus, with her stance it never occurred to her that she would be required to do that dirty work. But when it really came down to it – “I can agree to those terms.”

“Training?” Both Abbie and Barbara said the same time.

“Tim you have to be joking. You can’t honestly bring her to the Bat-Cave for training.”

“Yes training. You need to defend yourself in the big leagues.” Robin said speaking over the voice in his ear to Abbie.

“I can defend myself pretty well but I can’t deny that I’m not completely sure what I’m getting myself into. Training would probably be a good thing for me.” She said with a nod before turning her attention to Nightwing. “I’ll follow your terms.” Wow, so this is how it’s going to be. Her body shivered slightly thinking about how hard her life was going to be making this choice but… it was the best choice she could do.

The thought of bringing the daughter of Harvey Dent into the Bat Cave would have made Bruce very upset with Dick... There were so many uncertainties. What if she was just playing them? What if she gets herself killed for this incredibly optimistic plan? If anything, big or small, goes wrong in her plan she will die. Why take this risk? Why not threaten her to not do anything like this, and tell her that they will take care of her father? Maybe it was because he didn't know himself. It was honestly a fifty-fifty on which plan would work better... And he hated that.

He looked over at Tim, who was looking at him, waiting for him to answer. Tim Drake, one of Bruce's students in this crazy life they call their own. It was weird, him, Dick, and Barbara were all trained to fight under him, and it seemed to go alright. Why the hell did he take the chance, and risk everything on these three kids? There were so many reasons not to... Yet here they were, living on Bruce's legacy all because he took a chance.

It was surprising how similar his life was becoming to Bruce. He usually wasn't this uptight, Nightwing was known as being witty, more lighthearted than the Bat. But this situation was really no laughing matter. "Alright, Miss Dent. The old clock tower in the older section of downtown. You know where that is? Get yourself roof access to the building adjacent to it at 9, and we will see where we can go from there." Nightwing finally said, a nod towards the woman.

The masked men turned to walk away, but Robin stopped. "I really hope you know what you're doing, Miss Dent." He said in a soft tone, turning away yet again. "And don't use that signal again. We don't need the town thinking Batman pulled off the biggest prank in the world." Nightwing added, a little bit of humor in his voice before leaping off the side of the building.

Abbie found that she was holding her breathe as she stared down the two heroes in front of her. Should she really go through with this? What else could she do? She had no one to turn to, she had an inside that no one else had and she had to protect someone she now cared about. The word ‘Alright’ allowed her let out the breath she had been holding back. When Nightwing nodded she nodded back to him in agreement that she would get access to the rooftop.

Watching the two men leave she gave a soft smile showing her bright white teeth at his mention of Batman performing the world’s biggest prank. Upon their disappearance she let out a long sigh of relief; she wasn’t sure exactly how that was going to play out but it turned out okay. Taking a deep breath she let out a long relieved sigh before leaving from where the signal was.

The night moved quickly and at 9pm the blonde was standing on the rooftop where she had agreed to Nightwing. She keep herself in her white suite before pulling off the jacket top exposing her bandaged up biceps from her encounter with the Electrocutioner. The jerk… She tossed the jacket onto the ground and stretched her arms as she waited. This should be interesting because she didn’t know what she was getting into with him. He’s seen her fight to some degree but he probably didn’t know how good she was.

She had to do this --- she had to protect him, she had to protect this city and she needed to find a way to put an end to this. Between the Bat-group and her maybe, just maybe she could protect Dick…

The Night moved fast, and it wasn't long before Dick was left with the choice of meeting with Abbie or not on that roof. It would honestly change everything. If he was completely honest with himself, he totally would have helped her if Bruce was still around... But he wasn't. And he left him in charge. Batman wasn't there to fix Nightwing's mistakes... He was constantly thinking about what Bruce would do in this situation. Then again, he wasn't Bruce. He left HIM in charge for a reason. Dick had a feeling in his gut that he could trust this woman... And boy, he hoped he was right.

Nightwing made it to the rooftop to see that Abbie was already there. "Last chance. You can leave this city, find a nice little island, live the rest of your days drinking Martinis and sitting on the beach." Nightwing said, as if trying to sweeten the deal of keeping her from doing this. "No? Okay then. I have something to show you." Nightwing motioned her over to him, holding out his arm. Once again the masked man put his arm around her, took out his grappling hook, and fired towards the clocktower.

---

The top of the tower had a hidden latch on top, and with the suit's identification code transmitting, it opened up quickly, where the two dropped down into the darkness. It was old, worn down, and looked rather dusty as the city lights glowed through the windows. The shadow of the clock hands and numbers illuminated on the floor. "This place was abandoned years ago when the bigger villains of the city started to show themselves. The city kinda shifted over, and started its headquarters in what is now downtown Gotham. This place didn't even get a second glance." The masked man talked as he made his way towards an old bust of a former mayor of Gotham, he flipped open its head, and pressed the button located underneath.

The room sprang to life, the windows being covered by metal, old bookshelves being replaced with old ones, or shelves of weapons, computers, and places to keep outfits. The front of the room showed the mega computer, often run by Oracle but was relocated until they knew they could trust Abbie. It showed numerous things like a constant scan of Gotham, criminal records popping in and out, and surveillance cameras. The center of the floor was replaced with a padded one, with a spotlight shining onto it. "This isn't the Bat Cave, but its a close alternative... Kinda like our home away from home." Nightwing said, a smug grin on his face.

"I know, its pretty impressive. This is where my lovely assistant and I will try to train you. There's no backing out now."

Half of Abbie was sure the man wouldn’t show up. This could easily come across as a trap to anyone who didn’t have a sense of who she was. But Nightwing seemed to understand that this was a serious situation and that the blonde was serious. Taking in a deep breath her body shivered against the cold, her biceps still in pain from the electricity and her mind racing she stared out over the city.

She felt the presence show up behind her but she didn’t turn around. She knew who it was. He went into an expected playful note about a nice island with drinks but as she turned around, her face as soft but determined as she stared him down and avoided the joke. She followed his directions and slid herself against him as he pulled out the grappling hook and the two took off. Half of her didn’t like being held like this, the other half was too busy taking in the view of Gotham, innocent unknowing Gotham underneath them.

Abbie felt a little lonely when let her go but again… she had been feeling lonely for a while ever since she said her final good bye to Dick. That was the saddest moment of her life to have to let someone like him go. And now she was diving into the darkest pits of her city to help take down the worst of the worst. She was risking a lot, including her own life but if that meant she could make a difference here in the city she was ready.

The whole place sprung to life and there was no doubt that it was surprising to the young woman as she looked around what she assumed was a completely empty clock down was filled with much more than she had ever imagined. A small smirk moved across her face, the first expression she had shown since they had met up and she walked around looking at all the things. “Geeze next you’re going to tell me the Bat Cave is actually the local ice cream shop. I would have never guessed this was here.” She turned her attention back to him and nodded softly, “I wouldn’t think you’d take me to the Bat Cave and I have no intention of asking to go. That’s your call not mine.”

“It’s smelly and damp in there; I don’t think you’d like it.” Robin said entering the room with a grin. There was a short conversation between the three of them before it was decided that Abbie should show them what she knows so she agreed to spar with Robin. Within the sparring they held a conversation. “I’m surprised you showed up Miss Dent…” Whoosh, he dodged on of her punches. “It’s a dangerous thing you’re getting into…”

Sensing Robin was about to go into the same speech Nightwing had been giving her for the past few minutes she finally spoke up. “You do what you do for…” Whoosh, she dodged a swing from Robin, “For your city. I’m doing what I’m doing to protect someone I love.” At that Robin had a small pause in his motions and Abbie took advantage of the opening, kicking him square in the head and causing him to tumble on the floor. They had been sparing for a good twenty minutes and she finally laid the first hint. She had stripped out of her jacket leaving her in a white tank top, her face was drenched in sweat because Robin was fast and dodging him was more difficult than anyone she spared with when she trained. Lowering her fist she placed her hands on her knees and took in a couple deep breathes.

“Don’t let your guard down Robin. Even for a second someone can take advantage of it.” With that she stood upright and offered him her hand to help him up. “How was that couch?” She asked calling out to Nightwing who had been observing their actions.

The two crime fighters agreed that Robin should go at her first to see what she's capable of, it was a very small but somewhat heated argument. They were like brothers to each other, so it was the back and forth for a second silently, until Dick glared at him, indicating that his words were law.

The two started to fight for quite a while, Nightwing watching every move, but letting Robin give her tips while fighting. He couldn't help but feel the weight of dread as when they activated the clock tower, they also activated the suit racks. It always had a suit ready just in case they needed it... Especially the iconic Batman one. The cowl was empty but he could see where Bruce's square jaw and blue eyes would fit in perfectly. It was as if he was watching her fight too. He had to take a chance on Abbie. He didn't know why, but he felt compelled to help her. Abbie said something about protecting someone she loves, which made everyone hesitate for a second, letting Abbie hit Tim in the face. Nightwing smirked a bit and clapped from the corner of the mat.

"Alright tough guy, tap me in." He said mockingly at Robin as he got up and slapped Dick's hand. "Alright now that you're warmed up, time for the main event." Nightwing got into fighting stance, his hands out. "For example, never strike first, playing defense in the very beginning will open up a lot more opportunities to you, how they fight, what their favorite hand is, whether they dodge or counter." Nightwing explained, and without warning he leapt at her with lightning speed, swinging a fist but also lifting up a knee, curious to see how she would handle it.

"Who taught you to fight, by the way?" Robin asked from the corner of the mat, his arms crossed, obviously a little upset that he got hit.

Helping the Boy Wonder to his feet left a feeling of pride deep inside of her. She was able to lay a hit on the Boy Wonder! Not many people could say that and most of who did were in prison by now. Despite her desperate want to help the citizens and the duo, she was half surprised that she wasn’t thrown into prison herself. She openly admitted to being part of Two Face’s family, that he invited her to join the group and that she had agreed to it. Yet here she was, in one of the secret bases and they were willing to listen to her plan, to help her go through with it and not throw her in jail. Either they are able to see through lies or they’re surprisingly gullible… she hoped it was the first one.

“A good defense is the best offense.” Abbie said to Nightwing as she wiped from sweat from her brown and readied herself to face the older of the group. “Phew.” She said under her breath as she let out a small and slightly exhausted sigh. When she arrived to meet Cobblepot she was going to have to play off the fact that she was physically exhausted. His speed was shocking and her dodge was only quick enough to move from the punch and move slightly away from his knee. His knee came into contact with the corner of her hip bone and she let out a small yelp of surprise.

However that didn’t stop her, as he left himself balanced on a single foot, she move to the ground and gave her leg a strong kick aiming for his knee; guessing he would most likely jump and jump backwards she used to own momentum to move herself back some as well, creating distance between them. Even if he fell due to her leg swing, the best thing she could do was get some distance between the two of them. “My fa---Two Face, wanted me to be safe in the city so I signed up for the local dojo in town and have been training since I was five.”

Again she readied herself for Nightwing’s approach, this time. Unlike her spar with Robin, she was waiting for Nightwing to attack. She was here to learn from them and he said to never strike first. So instead she was watching Nightwing’s body length, paying attention to his movements and using his body motions to decide where he was going to strike from. Though his agility was astounding; not just from their sparing but every time she’s seen him fight. “You’re so quick, it’s almost shocking.”

Abbie was a quick learner, his knee made contact with her body, but that didn't stop her from attempting a counter. He was barely able to dodge the attack to his knee, able to spin away, landing on both feet. There was distance, she was very smart. Close combat was his specialty, so trying to take him on wasn't a great idea. The comment about Nightwing's speed made him a smirk a bit. "He's not as fast as the guy from Central City." Robin called out. Nightwing simply shrugged.

"You can't win them all. But speed is a major influence in a battle. When Batman trained, he trained from an ancient group of assassins. Speed, fear, and strategy were its main focus. Before you fight anyone you have to know their strengths... And what their weaknesses are. Like you've done, you've kept your distance... But we have gadgets to counter long distance fighting until we can get close. It's a massage game of strategy, and thinking. You'll have to learn to make these decisions and act on every opportunity in a fraction of a second."

With a nod towards Robin, he walked over to a button and pressed it, activating five practice dummies from the ground. Their metallic arms held knives, bats, and other sharp and lethal tools, and all ranged from shape and size. "These are what we trained with. And what you will train with too... So I really hope you're serious about all of this, because this won't be a walk in the park."

She did not expect this situation to be a walk in the park and boy… that expression was written all over her face when the dummies came up with the weapons. A tiny gulp could be heard in the room as she took in the dummies. But as quickly as that reaction came, it disappeared. Her resolve was there and she had no intention on backing down now. A nod rose and fell her head and soon her training resumed with the two heroes.

“Where is this bloody wanker who’s supposed to be delivering the goods?” The Penguin’s voice shouted as he waited impatiently by the docks, money in hand and his crew of thugs with some of the latest weapons that Two Face had sold to them.

A long limo pulled into the docks parking area and the drive climbed out of the seat and went to open the door as the Penguin continued to express his displeasure in the lack of timing from the delivery person.

“I don’t think that’s the way you should talk to your guest Cobblepot.” Abbie said as she stepped out of the back of the limo, her crisp white suit standing out in the darkness. The expression on the face of the Penguin was priceless, for it was no surprise that he was shocked to see the girl who had rented his lounge and he had attempted to hold hostage was the delivery person.

“What the bloody hell is going on?” He barked at her, his cane smacking the ground with force as the blonde nonchalantly walked to him. “There was supposed to be a delivery here. How the fuck did you know? Did you sell me out to your boyfriend Nightwing? Is the Bat-Brat going to be here to? You can’t be the exchange....”

His ranting went on and on as Abbie looked down at her nails in boredom. Sighing, she pulled out a white pistol, clean and crisp just like her suit and fired at the ground near the man’s feet. This was enough to make the Penguin jump back in shock and silence him for a moment. “Your custom pistol shoots well. I’ll make sure to not charge you for that bullet. Sorry dear old dad couldn’t make it but seeing as he’s one of the few villains in this town to…” Her gaze scanned over the Penguin in disgust, a facial expression she wasn’t worried about hiding, “reproduce. He’s teaching me the tricks of the trade.”

“Why you little…”

“Look, my shows start in an hour and seeing as I had to get all dolled up for this occasion; I look forward to returning home and getting into my pajamas. Now, seeing as you and I did not have a pleasant meeting our first time around. Between you attempting to hold me hostage and dealing with the obnicous knock off hero, I’ve had my fill of bullshit okay?”

“What about the pretty boy?” The Penguin countered waving his cane at her as her men unloaded the guns from the back of the limo.

“The Wayne inheritance kid?” Abbie questioned a cold laugh in her voice. “Well a girl’s gotta have fun. Even daddy will tell you that. Plus having a rich kid buy me drinks and a few other assortments of things just for my attention can make a girl happy. However he got rather boring rather fast. So I left him. Simple as that.” Though her voice and actions were cold, her heart hurt saying that. She did leave him without an explanation but it was for his safety.

“Everything’s accounted for boss.” One of Penguin’s men shouted.

“The money’s right Miss.” Her men responded.

“Great, looks like we have an agreement. Pleasure doing business with you Mr. Cobblepot.”

“Likewise Miss Dent.” The Penguin said after the two shook hands and she placed the pistol in his awaiting palm.

"You're focusing too much on my right side. You have to expect the left as well. Don't stand like that. Move your hands--there you go."

"That was exactly how I was standing!"

"If you were, I wouldn't be telling you different. Try again."

"Bruce, I'm tired, I've been doing this all day!"

"Once you can lay a hit on me, you can stop... You said you wanted to train, Dick. This isn't some karate class, and I'm not going to go easy on you. No one will when you're on the streets, doing this on your own. Now get back up. Start again."

Even after the training was done, Dick, Tim, and Barbara were still unsure of what they just did. But Robin and Nightwing stayed in the shadows, observing, watching for any indication that Abbie Dent could be lying. Dick hoped what she said was the truth. She was playing the part of evil villain rather well, and the way she talked and asserted herself reminded Nightwing that she was very much like her father in some ways. At her comment on Dick, Tim's voice cracked into his ear softly. "Ouch." He muttered. Nightwing didn't respond, instead he kept staring through the cracked warehouse window.

"We got a good visual surveillance, but the audio is a bit messed up. The water, and the start of this storm is making that part difficult." Barbara said quietly through comms. "So, it's all up to Miss Dent and our trust in her." Tim concluded.

Dick was far too focused on the events unfolding, and thinking about Harvey Dent. What exactly did he have planned? Yeah, he was a crime boss, but uniting the crime world wasn't his forte. He did things his way... Someone would have to be higher up the chain. They had the perfect way to get in. If this worked out, more frequent visits with Abby Dent would have to be in order. She could tell them when to attack certain people, giving them information in the most subtle way, and hopefully doing what Bruce had wanted all along: To make this city safe; To have the people's hearts outshine the darkness. He hoped that after all of this was done, that Dick could possibly see her again... Not as vigilantes, but as people. Or could they? He knew the risks, and the dangers of doing this. If she had been the daughter of any other person, he could have pushed that aside, and see what they could have been after this, if she was true to her words. As much as it confused him, he could still feel the touch of her lips lingering on his.

"When do you want to go after Penguin?" Robin spoke after a few minutes lost in thought.

"When she leaves... We gave her that contact device for a reason. If she's with us, she'll tell us when to go after Cobblepot."

The pistol that was placed in the hands of the penguin had a little something extra, a silencer, a larger chamber to hold more rounds, a small penguin emblem on the side of the barrel and… oh a tracking device. Remember that little penguin? That wasn’t just for decoration. That was designed and given to her to place on something in order to track the Penguin’s movements. The handoff was mentally stressful for young Abbie. So many things could go wrong in the blink of an eye. If the batboys didn’t wait for the single, if Penguin smelled something fishy (pun intended) or if something went wrong with the transaction she could end up dying. But maybe not…

After observing the pistol, the Penguin stopped at the barrel and stared at the emblem for a couple moments too long. The blonde held her ground and her composure but her heart was pounding her chest. Was she caught already? No way…

“I like it.” Oswald said as he put the pistol into the pocket of his dress jacket and bid Abbie good bye before turning to leave.

The blonde did the same, heading back to her limo and climbing inside. In the silence of the car she let out a long breathe, a sigh of relief that everything went well. While she didn’t know what would happen, if the boys would attack right away or wait until they got to the hideout making it look like they had been stacking out the place but she trusted to not give away her involvement. Pulling out her phone, she texted her father saying that they had received the money and she was returning to the hideout for a mission complete.

As she held her cellphone she pulled out a smaller device, hiding it behind her cellphone from prying eyes and sent a message.

Tracking device is on the pistol I gave to Cobblepot. The rest is up to you guys. Good luck.

She sent the message and slipped the device back into the tucked away place on her person before she received a text from her father which made her smile. He was proud of his little girl and wanted to celebrate. Getting acknowledgement from a parental figure always made a child smile but at the same time, it pulled and tugged at her heart. Why did her father have to be a bad guy? A bad guy that the crime fighters had to take down. She couldn’t deny that but the thought that her own father wasn’t who he tried to be for her was painful… and to that pain, she wiped away a single tear before it could stain her face.
