Initial D/Touge/Street Race/Drifting RP??

I've been looking all over the internet for an Initial D/street racing type roleplay and cannot find even one. Wanted to know if some people would be interested in starting one up or if I should just give up looking for now?

@CoolGuy Not surprised, the street racing/cars in general deal doesn't seem to be popular here (not that there aren't a variety of subjects that aren't popular here). At this rate I don't think you'll have any more luck looking, but I'd be happy to help start one. Dunno how many more people than just us will join though.

@Driving ParkWell if all else fails and nobody else is interested in starting one up, I wouldn't mind trying a one on one RP. Never done it before, but I'm starting to get desperate for a racing type RP. Lol

@CoolGuy I'm sure we'd be able to find many ways of making a 1x1 still interesting. For examples:

- Our two (or more) characters team up to try to take down evil race gang etc.
- Our two (or more) characters are leaders of rival race gangs.

Obviously I'd much prefer a group thing where we all just race each other :D But if not, we can make it work. We can find ways of having many characters and never racing ourselves, and the two examples would make that easier.

@Driving Park That sounds good. I really like the idea of us forming our own crew/team on our home course and defending challenging until we eventually come across another crew who becomes our main enemy. We could also fit in some daily life type stuff just to keep it interesting in between races and whatnot without deviating too much from the racing theme.

But yeah I prefer possibly getting an actual group together if we can.

Would it be more anime style like Initial D or realistic action like Fast and Furious/Need For Speed/ect? I prefer the latter, but can swing any way! I do like the whole crew idea.

Yeah, with a smaller group I figure the players could all be part of a single street-racing team just trying to rise through the ranks. If the player count ends up getting bigger than we thought, we could maybe introduce a second player team competing against (or even sometimes together with) the initial team.

@Penultimate_PiThat sounds awesome. Should we have Ranks among the racing community? Each crew is assigned a letter Rank from E to S, with E being the newbies and S being the best there is. Just throwing out ideas. :)

Depends on what you mean. I consider Initial D to be a lot more realistic. I don't really care for all the heists and action packed stuff going on in the fast and furious movies. But when it comes to Need for speed, I really like the way the newest game coming out in November is going. I'd really prefer a more touge/drift type rp, but as long as we're not just doing drag races, then I'm really open to the idea of driving on more public streets and all that. I love how the newest NFS game is keeping true to tuner car culture.

I was thinking much more Initial D than Fast and Furious.

A bunch of dudes racing down a mountain, antagonist crew enters to crash their party, epic touge drift battles ensue.

I could just as easily go for non-drift racing, too. Circuit racing can be great fun to write as well. But the allure of the mountain is real.

... you know what fuck it I'm interested. I was talking to someone else about the idea of a supercar racing series RP that goes over a season. So if nothing else this can give me fuel for thought on such a concept.
