Depending on the age of the character, I always have him transition into different weaponry as well as the cards. :)

The premise of this game reminds me of Kurt Buseik's Avengers Forever and to a lesser degree Exiles.

Both are great, so that bodes well.

I'm probably going to have Matt be around shortly before Civil War so during Brubaker's run. His secret identity has been exposed and then denied because there's no proof. Basically everyone who would have read the Daily Bugle knows Matt Murdock is Daredevil but no one can prove it

I really enjoyed Brubaker's run on Daredevil but I'm glad Waid took the character in a completely different direction. It was needed after the decade or so of Matt veering from one emotionally draining tragedy to the next.

I can't say I've read much of Waids run but I've heard mixed reviews, I'll probably read up in preparation :)

Since no one wants him, I'll probably use Star Lord as the main storytelling NPC, the one who's tasked with getting this ball of wax rolling. See if I can do him justice.

The story will briefly touch upon a non-canon Trial of Jean Grey in the beginning before shit starts hitting fan, and that's when my PC, the newly returned Jean, will come into the rag-tag bunch.

As for the OOC, expect it up tonight or tomorrow.

I can't say I've read much of Waids run but I've heard mixed reviews, I'll probably read up in preparation :)

It's really, really good. Kind of takes Matt back to his more upbeat, "swashbuckling" ways whilst retaining the elements of darkness that Miller/Bendis/Brubaker-era Daredevil was renown for, and the art by Samnee is amazing. All around it's a pleasure to read from start to end, when Matt's mired in nothing but darkness it can sometime be a bit of a chore, even when well-written.

Also, expect a minimalistic CS to fill out.
