For those who aren't coming in from the interest check, or a previous attempt at this RP. The idea is making a young superheroes team that isn't just characters from DC or Marvel but from books, movies, cartoons, animes, or anything else that can fit into a singular modern Earth setting.

The plan is SHIELD forming the Young Avengers using young superheroes from around the world in an initiative that has a lot of attention on it. I'm thinking the best course of action might be to give them a mission right at the start. Something simple but can set a good action tone. Of course if anyone has any suggestions or ideas I'm all ears. Since I don't really have a plan set in concrete. I do want it set in June 2015.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Player name: Drewvonawesome
Source material: DC Comics – Teen Titans
Full name: Cameron Starr
Alias: Power Boy
Age: 17
Home: Central City (St. Louis), USA
Appearance/Costume:
Hair is all blond and has the red cape draped on the back of the right shoulder with the medallion.
Abilities: A half human/half kryptonian, Power Boy has a lot of the same power characteristics as a Superman or Supergirl but only sedated and unable to reach their strongest levels of super strength, super speed, flight speed, and endurance. He can still have ammo rounds up too heavy artillery deflect off of him leaving him unharmed. He also doesn't quite have the same powers as them, having super powerful lungs, and able to see through even the thickest metal, but lacking a lot of the other powers.
Brief bio: Cameron Starr thought he knew his own life. His mom was the CEO of the highly successful StarrTech, who had married a fellow billionaire. The two deeply loved one another when they weren't working. Which left Cameron plenty of free time to do the sort of devil may care crazy things young trust fund kids like himself did.
Then one day he started flying.
He had been out on his 17th birthday, a getaway out in some small islands off the coast of the US Virgin Islands. He felt notably stronger, more powerful, but light on his feet. It was around his seventh beer that Cameron started to fly and in amazement his friends caught it on their phones and uploaded it to the internet where it went viral within the same hour.
Suddenly Cameron was demanded to return home by his mom. Cameron himself scared about himself when he sobered up and broke numerous things returning home with his unrealized new strength. His mom was almost in tears when he saw her. She told him that she had just resigned as CEO of StarrTech, and that she prayed she'd never have to talk to her son about any part of what she had to tell him.
Before Cameron was born, before she had even met her now husband. Karen Starr was Power Girl, a superhero who took after her actual family members of Superman and Supergirl. She was an alien from the planet Krypton and for the longest time loved her duel life. Then she met Michael, the man she would soon marry, she realized she couldn't keep living her CEO and superhero ways and after having to think about which way to go talk to her cousin Superman about what to do.
The two, with the help of some renown scientists, created a serum which blocked out the Krypton genes that gave her the superpowers she had. They figured it would also keep any of her kids from getting superpowers so she was horrified seeing the video on the internet. She also realized that she had let Cameron be too free for too long, and he was in desperate need of learning discipline and fairness.
She arranged Cameron to meet people from SHIELD who helped diagnose his powers and offered him a spot in their Young Avengers program. Cameron originally wanted nothing to do with it, dreading all the tedious crap that would come with it. However his mom basically made it clear if he didn't join, she was blocking him from his accounts and kick him out without a penny to his name.
While he loves his powers Cameron is still struggling with his vain, egocentric personality that has been refined over the years. He feels silly in the costume, even though he's seen what his mom used to wear and is SO THANKFUL they didn't copy her suit trim for trim.
Notes: Owns a 2015 Aston Martin Vanquish...
He adores it and would never let anyone else drive it or anything possibly harm it.
Player name: Drewvonawesome
Source material: Anime – Cyborg 009
Full name: Joe Shimamura
Alias: Cyborg 009
Age: 21
Home: Kanazawa, Japan
Appearance:
Costume:
Abilities: He is super-humanly strong, resistant to damage, can leap large distances, and can breathe underwater. His most prominent ability is the power to move at a speed so fast that everything else looks like a statue to him, this is triggered by a switch embedded in his teeth. However, he cannot touch any normal creatures such as humans in this state; the high speeds would kill or otherwise cause serious injury to the creature through air friction.
Brief bio: Born to a retired American air force commander and a Japanese woman. Joe grew up in what felt like a normal enough life for a young Japanese boy. He would occasionally get picked on for his half breed genetics but otherwise was left alone and did well in school. Though as the years passed both his mom and dad seemed to grow increasingly paranoid. Eventually they both went missing one night, his mom found dead in a nearby river, which his father is still hiding.
As an orphan Joe was adopted by a friendly priest who had adopted many other children. He lived happily with the priest and his adopted siblings until the age of 18 when an organization known as the Black Ghost kidnapped some of the other adopted boys and girls as guinea pigs for their black market programs. When Joe's adopted father tried to save them he was brutally murdered and left to have Joe be wrongfully accused of the crime. When he was on the run Black Ghost kidnapped him and using their cyborg program turned him into Cyborg 009.
Before he could be brainwashed Joe was saved by eight other individuals who also were kidnapped and turned into cyborgs against their will. The nine of them banded together and fought Black Ghost eventually able to topple the terrorist organization down. However it left the nine of them with no certain futures, so after a bit of traveling together the nine eventually went their separate ways. Unlike the others, who had someone or something they could go back to, Joe had nothing. So he decided to join SHIELD as an operative as a means of fighting any other terrorist groups who could be twisted enough to try and be the next Black Ghost. After some time of service, Joe was offered a place on the new Young Avengers program. Which he accepted seeing it as the honor it was intended to be.
Notes: After joining SHIELD Joe has since been trained in hand to hand and firearm combat.
