[OOC] A Tale of Thieves - Part One; Running and Hiding

I like to do a narrative style of roleplay, so if I'm not being enough of a guide I'll edit thigs a bit to give more of a defined direction.

I like to do things a bit more freeform myself, where I'll more describe what happens based on what you guys do. If you want to go to OtherTown? I'll describe Othertown and guide things from there. If you want a job from Market? I'll make a job from there, etc.

Generally speaking you guys can do anything you want without me railroading you onto some kind of plot, more I'll work the plot around what you guys do.

Description - Average looking teenager with Chinese ethnicity, enrolled in Polis Secondary High. Wears uniform in school, and prefers under polo/t-shirts with cotton sweaters in cold weather or jackets in warm weather, as casual attire. One notable eccentricity is constantly wearing toe shoes.

Background
-Besides being born into a family known for being associated with the Triads, Joshua's life was rather mundane. However, his connection with the Circuit since birth guided his upbringing; at the age of 4 he became a student of the Chinese martial arts under his shifu, who was constantly on the run from authorities under threat of persecution. But Joshua's lessons under him were always well worth the time, enjoying each session as escape from the stuffy Polis life above ground. By 16 years old Joshua had used up his master's knowledge (thanks to censorship and persecution, most knowledge of wushu was lost to history), and focuses on mastering the forms while relying on shifu as a fixer, to apply his martial arts practically. He swore he would some day make sure Polis law would change to remove the censorship on certain performing arts like wushu, to teach his heritage to his own students; studying in law school would be the first step to change the system from within.

Joshua now awaits his Triad initiation ceremony at the age of 18.

I won't allow IC posting without a complete sheet unfortunately, just out of principle. I need information on the character, why they do what they do, why they can do what they do, otherwise they'll just fall flat because I can't cater to them.

oh dear here I am making a post in a row and shattering every lurking principle I've ever held myself true to.

I won't let the IC stay stagnant for more than a day if its on my end to make a post, unless it's a critical IC thing for e v e r y o n e to get involved with, so I'll have a post up in a few hours that'll be directed at folks who are currently in the IC.

Do you intend for us unwitting pawns to your grand scheme PC's to meet up?

I have a plan for you all to get together yes. I just don't like making it awkward and clunky, so if the IC is you guys working separate at first as a build up to the team meetup then that's just me getting a feel for the characters and pushing you together as a group organically.

If you'd rather I expedite the group meetup and forgo some initial buildup then say so and I'll give a more narrative speedup.

You can always post, I'm malleable and organic. I'll always work around what you guys say unless it's something directly in conflict with the scene I set up.

Is there a gun under the table? No, probably not.

If there a chandelier? Hell yeah have fun.

That sort of thing, at least. Don't assume there are things anywhere though, as I might throw a curveball.

As for posting under others- go ahead. As long as you're not both in the same firefight or situation, you can always post over each other unless I otherwise says so

I must apologize deeply for my absence. I have come down with a sickness that has scrambled my mind quite a bit, and even now I suffer from mild confusion and difficulty focusing. I'm improving steadily and all in all it's not a critical illness, but certainly a debilitating one.
