Wow. YOu guys got your characters done fast. Now I feel kind of bad because I said yes when the manager called and asked me to fill in a full shift t.t

Never fear. I'll have the intro post up by the day's end. It shouldn't be a problem because I get out at seven and usually don't go to sleep till around midnight or one.

@Galgarion
Kain looks good. He's approved.

@DizzyRenegade
I love the fact you named your character Jade and had her specialize in fire.. :D
So far she looks pretty good. Just let me know when your done so I can approve her. :)

@yeti100
Damien is approved.

WIP
I"m off, and I'll finish this up and set up the first post first thing when I get off.

Name: James(Jimmy) Thurber
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Appearance: Jimmy stands at 5'11 with a medium build. He's not fat, there's muscle, it's just that muscle can only do so much when your constantly eating fast foods and sweets because there's not enough time for everything else. He wears his long black hair in a ponytail. He has a rare condition which causes his eyes to be different colors(Left brown, right green.)
Abilities:
Evocation- Spirit
Thaumaturgy- Conjuration

Role spells:
Inanis-Jimmy focuses on a spot and snaps his fingers pushing everything physical out of a space the size of a soccer ball, creating a vacuum resulting in an implosion.
Lamma-Jimmy creates blades of will and launches them at opponents.
Levate-Jimmy can point at an object and then point again for where he wants the object to go. Currently the maximum weight of an object he can lift with this spell is fifty pounds and the maximum speed in which he can send it is 75 mph.

Special items:
Staff-A three foot long staff made from quebracho wood. Its his primary focus.
Gold Ring-Constantly absorbs light(Sun, stars, artificial.) Which he can released in a moment's notice. The only problem is if the ring is exposed to sunlight it quickly starts overloading so he either has to regularly empty the vessel, or wear a leather glove to keep it from light.
Magical Windbreaker- A black windbreaker jacket covered in black symbols, which when activate glow white and project a field of will which vastly decreases friction, allowing the user to move much faster.

Items: Travelling Sack, Chalk, Army Knife, pens, a small notebook, salt, and a magnetic board that you could play chess and checkers on.
Personality: Normally quiet, unless he's found someone who he's comfortable talking to. Jimmy doesn't say much but when he does its usually whatever's going on in his own internal world slipping out, ie he, he doesn't normally take time think if what he's going to say needs to be said and if it needs to be said by him. Despite always trying leave his choices up to logic Jimmy is a very emotional human being and has trouble doing things that conflict with what his heart says.
Background: Jimmy's life started easily enough. He came out of a woman after that woman had sex with a man she never saw again for the rest of her life. He grew up with a mother who though too busy sometimes, always made sure he stayed on the right track, and never hesitated to give him a good smack when she felt he wasn't veering a bit too much to the left, which didn't happen often thanks to his heroes always being those characters in comic books who went through all those negative phases before his vary eyes. This went on till around the age of eleven when he accidentally destroyed a video game arcade, and the wardens found him. They didn't execute him which was good and even gave him an opportunity to join their ranks, protect the vanilla mortals and get some extra cash to help his single mother with the bills.

I got a bit of time so I finished the profile early.

I also found out that there's a short story where Harry gives a lecture on investigations to baby wardens. It's called AAAA Wizardry, but there's only a sample of the story up online. Does anyone know where to find the full version? Lol I think it fits into this rp so I thought I'll look it up but the story seems exclusive to the dresden rp books

Hmmmm we got a lot of diverse forms of offense going on here. I'm thinking of making something defensive now.

What does everything think of a combo of Crafter/Artificer and healer?

To elaborate, someone who is basically part field medic and field mechanic able to maintain repair and make new magic tools for the squad while patching up that big ass hole in your chest.

I've got some supportive magic and some wards too. Between the two of us we'd have things covered

A healer is always good! I just don't know much about them since the books never go into any detail. But rote spells tend to be evocation aren't they? I think the other characters have ward as their thamauturgy so they should be pretty good in making defenses. I was going for ward too but since we have that covered I went with world walking instead.

But the point I want to make is, do whatever you think will be fun to play. If you want to be our fixer, go for it! I'll make sure to give you work to do lol. Jade is only now realizing close range combat might not be the best solution to a fight

Hey now, don't leave me out :P just because none of my rote spells are defensive doesn't mean I won't have defensive utility, I specalized in Wards for a reason. :)

Any more room for chars?

BTW I have a couple remarks to make about the worlds idea. Gotta be pretty careful about how these worlds are made, after all, remember the Sixth Law of Magic. It'd be shame for the wardens to all make it through their adventures only to be tried and executed for swimming against the currents of time.

Therefore, perhaps a way of thinking about them would be alternate realities, time itself has not been flown forward or against so much as side stepped. One universe could be one where the Red Court's plans were never accelerated ahead of schedule by Harry's actions and they acted on time, making that universe one where the Red Court's hegemony is supreme over the wizards.

Another could be one where the Seelie Court took the Stone Table forcibly from the Unseelie, ushering in an era of uninhibited growth in nature, one of unparalleled disease and overbearingly hot and humid climate, where nature basically re-asserts itself and global warming runs amok, to the benefit of all creatures of Summer, but making it a living hell for most everything else.

Another could be where Kemmler succeeded in his ritual in WWII, breaking the White Council's strongest forces and ushering in a new era of Black Magic becoming the standard practice, but also winning the war for the Nazis as he unleashed an army of undead upon the world and turned himself into a living god, with his disciples lording over humanity with the Nazis as pawns.

IDK those are a couple ideas I thought about, basically reversing or changing the results of a lot of scenarios, or applying a lot of the hypothetical scenarios that happened in the lore and playing around with what the world might have looked like.

Will try to get this all finished tomorrow morning, but most of the important details are here.

Edit:

Forgot to mention, but feedback, critiques, and proof reads of my work are welcome. Dyslexic and often under slept = missed errors.

Hey kitman. For now no worries. Just please try and get it finished sometime tomorrow. The earlier the better. I had wanted to have the first up by today but going to wait just one more day for you and Templar to get your CSs up, because it sucks to have to play catch up.

I'll look over what you have in the morning, because right now I'm beat.

Hey @malmshodes I have noticed a few players with wards so far. For a bit of variety do you mind if i swap to one of the Thematic branches of Thaumaturgy. It was a branch I created in one of our RPG sessions. Basically dream magic. Tiny bit of divination for telling if someone is alseep of awake. Transformation and disruption to give them good dreams of nightmares. A smidge of wards to protect people's minds while they sleep. Transportation and Worldwalking you could use this to enter someone's dreams in the Never Never and exit through someone else's dreams. Crafting you could basically create sleeping potions. And conjuration you could give dreams solid form(only one at a time though). What do you think? If no i'll happily stick to wards, but i think variety could make this story fun.

Also @DizzyRenegade I think our characters are going to get on well. I can see me using my support magic on you, making you that much more lethal in a close-quarters fight lol
