[OOC] Pokemon Mystery Dungeons: Stargate [Mid-High Casual] Accepting!

Nature: Sassy

Personality: Celina is more of a easy-going girl, although rather intelligent, being able to think quickly in situations. She can also be serious when needed. She dislikes being alone, and is rather friendly.

History: Celina started her life rather normally, her dad worked as a financial advisor for small companies, and her mother stayed at home, working on cleaning up as well as taking care of buying everything that was needed in the house. Life was rather calm for Celina, because she didn’t cause a lot of trouble, although compare to other girls, she didn’t like dolls and such. Instead, she was more of a gamer girl, playing rather popular video games, but being more towards strategics games.
So life continued on, although at school, she didn’t really fit in with other girls, who talked more about beauty and other things, like fashion. This didn’t really interest her, because at a young age, accuriteher mother constantly told her that beauty was from within, not from the outside, and she actually believed that.

So she kept doing her things, playing her games at school but actually making friends with the boys at school, even if they sometimes made fun of her for being a girl… which they regretted not long after as she pulled the guilty boys hair and then looked at him in the face, serious and with a mean look. They stopped soon after with bothering her with this, thinking it was not even worth making fun about it.
School wise, she actually had good grades, especially in mathematics, beating most of the people in class. This got her the reputation of nerdy girl… but she actually didn’t care. They didn’t know what they were saying. She just continued on with her life, making friends and actually playing online, and surprisingly playing shooters and such.

At first as she played, she didn’t use any mics, so no one actually knew she was a girl, and she kept on dominating players on servers, being very accurate in her shots, and actually using commands to keep her team in track of what was going on. Then one day, when she got her mic during vacation… people in her friend list coulden’t believe it was her. A girl all this time was dominating everyone… It was then she was invited on a tournament with the best players of the game. She knew she was going to have a lot of fun there…

It was in a couple of days… but she started having weird dreams…. Dreams that didn’t make any sense to her. But she didn’t think anything about them. She was getting ready for the tournament… Then the next day the tournament was going to start… she coulden’t wait… She went to sleep… but she didn’t wake up where she though she would….

Instead, she woke up in a strange world with a rocky wasteland all around. She looked around confused, feeling weak. She tried to walk, only to find it rather difficult for her to even more properly. She looked down, seeing her body… She had become a togepi! She started to freak out until something hit her…
She then woke up in Medburn, in a strange building where a Chansey was healing her wounds. Although all this… all this made her confused… why was she like this… what changed her… and the tournament… she was supposed to go play, and now it was ruined… Her friends… what would they think of her having gone away like that…. She started to cry a bit for the first hours, wanting to be alone.

Then she started to feel better, and started to study about where she landed, trying to get the most information on what happened, why she was here. She didn’t get much information except she came from a Stargate and about mystery dungeons appearing cause of them. What would she do…. She couldn’t go and stand there to do nothing… she had to figure out what was going on, fix it and possibly go back home…. And to home her friends would forgive her for disappearing like that.

Siward the Aromatisse

Level: 23.

Ability: Aroma Veil. This ability keeps the holder and its allies clear of emotional distraction, such as Taunt and Attract, in addition to aiding concentration outside of battle and keeping his patients conscious and calm when he is operating.

Moveset: Aromatherapy, Heal Pulse, Draining Kiss, Calm Mind.

Nature: Calm.

Personality: Siward is not entirely self-interested, but shows others a perpetual, peaceful disdain, and despite his willingness to help, the Doc has little real empathy in him. That said, Siward is a very competent sawbones, working both as a travelling and a stationary doctor depending on where he is needed most, and conducting his work patiently, diligently, and with a quiet but exquisitely keen attention to comfort that reassures his less optimistic patients more than compassionate words ever could. In fact, though his emotions seem to have worn rather thin through the years, Siward truly cares about the state of the world and desires a hopeful future- Or at least, in his absence of empathy, the ideal of one.

However, though this correctly indicates that Siward's morals are usually in good form, a conflict of priorities has long since brought him into less savoury company than most doctors appreciate. Doc Siward may care about the world, but he also cares about himself and his finances, and cares very much. For this reason he has no scruples as to who he heals, and has become a very reliable, confidential source of medical and strategic aid to major criminal entities when they pass through Medburn, and is always willing to keep quiet about dangerous secrets for a small fee- Or, for a larger one, use his medical ability for even darker reasons. Though Siward is clean, quick, and as painless as he can manage, he has in the past been recruited to perform permanent crippling or amputation procedures on captured enemies of wealthy criminal gangs.

Despite all this, though, Siward maintains the highest priority on anonymity while executing sublegal operations, knowing that a doctor with a good reputation is a great benefit to the world, and his selfishness does not completely dominate his goodwill. Sometimes the Doc will outright refuse to perform a shady job if he believes that the community stands enough to gain by his doing so. These moments, however, are very rare.

History: Doc Siward was born a Spritzee in a relatively wealthy family of Fairy Pokemon outside Medburn, and as is often the case among the rich, he inherited not only a privileged level of money and education, but a sense of superiority which remains a core part of his personality. The opening of the Stargate shortly after he was gifted the Sachet which allowed him to evolve, however, was a defining occurrence in Siward's life, and may well have steered him away from an even darker path. The secluded villa which his family occupied grew separated from its closest settlement by the opening of a Mystery Dungeon, and Siward experienced firsthand the pain and devastation which the Stargate could bring forth. Before the dust had settled, however, Siward had also seen the critical role played by altruism and teamwork in reversing the damage, as Guild after Guild mounted explorative expeditions to help forge safe paths through the dungeon and rescue the stranded. This event inspired Siward to become a healer, not only as a profiteer from the skyrocketing rate of injury in all settlements near dungeons, but as one who could at least partially help individuals while he could.
The amount of profiteering he has since done, however, and his liberal use of the criminal ties that are also the inheritance of wealth, his willingness to extend his help to the gangs, mobs and mafias that thrive since the coming of the Stargate, and his lack of interest in actually closing the Stargate itself, show clearly that there is still a long, irreversible streak of selfishness deep within Doc Siward's heart.

Kel the Keldeo

Keldeo (Kel)

Level: Lvl 25

Ability: Justified

Moveset: Bubblebeam, Double Kick, Aqua Jet, Secret Sword

Personality: Kel has always been a lighthearted fellow. He isn't going to hold back a chuckle if someone slips on the ice or something like that, he'll let it all out, and usually cause the others around him to laugh as well. He just has that air around him that everyone likes, well most everyone. However, he does have his own moments that he laughs off himself.

However, when on missions he's one of the most serious Pokemon you'll ever meet. He's learned that there's no room for error when you're in a Mystery Dungeon, the slightest mistake could send your whole team packing. He cares deeply for his friends, willing to put himself in danger to protect just about anyone, which he has done a few times.

History: Keldeo was once a member, and even leader, of a team known as the Swords of Justice. Although they were not the team to close the stargate, they watched as the gate was closed and knew a decent amount about it and the destruction it caused. After that, everything seemed to return to its usual state of, normalcy. However, something had happened between the Swords of Justice, something that would break their very foundations. One day, the bunch just disbanded and went their separate ways, none knowing why.

After this, Keldeo became a wanderer, traveling from town to town helping out Pokemon along the way. He was his usual old self, at least on the outside. Many wondered what was really going on inside his head since the disbanding of the Swords of Justice. He never really talked about them much, unless some little kid wanted to hear about a heroic adventure that they had taken or something. Even then, he would only talk about the good times together.

Several months passed and soon Keldeo began to hear whispers and rumors that the Stargate had somehow reopened, that there were fears of panic and chaos if the Stargate did what it had before. They were only rumors that he heard, however, and he continued onward, eventually coming across the town of Medburn, which he grew to like the people in this town very much. He decided to live here, while still going on missions to aid Pokemon far and wide.

I think I'd just like to clarify something that it looks like I wasn't too clear on about Siward's reputation. No edits are needed right now, but when I wrote that his reputation wasn't outstanding, I was referring to its strength rather than whether it was good or bad- Not a lot of Pokemon in Medburn actually know or have spoken about Siward, though he's recognised as a doctor. He doesn't pass through too often. I wanted to make it feel like Siward is a bit more like the other characters than a town local- There are still people in Medburn that he doesn't know, places he hasn't been, and most Pokemon that see him just think something along the lines of...

'Oh, the aristocrat doctor's back in town. Aunt Binacle's husband says he did a good job stitching up a leg wound once. ...Smells like cinnamon tea, though, what's up with that?'

That said Siward's also somewhat condescending and does act his wealth, so right now, no edits are needed. There are probably plenty around town that don't like the Doc.

Okay... I've got a kinda funny idea for an antagonist. He'll either just be racist against horse-like pokemon in general or... he'll just DESPISE Kel for one reason or another. He'll start off as a complete joke, a level 15 Vulpix, with his only gimmick being that he has the Drought ability. Basically, after this situation is settled new guy will come in, and try to attack Kel, thinking that the sun from his ability will be enough to stop his water attacks... Obviously, this doesn't work, and after his jailtime or whatever ends up happening (the games leave it vague), he officially joins up with the villainous group... as their lowest-ranking member. He'll probably remain that way, and the rest of the evil team will probably see him as a joke throughout most, if not all of the RP.

This, of course, means that I have to ask if I can have a hidden ability on one of my characters.

Personality:

Reefer is an absent minded, lax and lazy Xatu who would be very much content sleeping all day like a Slaking. Always with a jolly and happy personality, he's kind, very relaxed and accepting of many many people, being the cool and gentle type of guy and overall a pretty nice individual, though his laziness and tenacity to mooch can be labeled his most disliked features, having lazy tired looking eyes, and a constant smile, individuals would probably wonder if he even knows where he is himself half of the time, though he is incredibly intelligent and smart, he rarely shows it through his attitude and mannerisms.

Overall however, despite always wanting things from others and his tenacity to sleep through most of the day, he generally does care about everyone who lives with him, and when it comes to a fight or a life or death scenario, he will not let his lax nature hold him down, and will shift into a more protective serious stance, to protect not only himself but the people who are dependent on his psychic energy.

History:

Belonging to the species of flying type said to be able to tell the future and look deep into the past, Reefer is much like their kind, however, he is a slight bit different from his other intellectual brothers and sisters from birth. While reefer might be an intelligent individual, he only experiences his visions when tucked into a nice, relaxing, wonderful dream, and thus, spends most of his time sleeping, this rather annoying trait beguiled him to become lazy, which would anger his siblings, though Reefer himself would merely claim it was just how he was made to be.

Growing up with his family was honestly just as it has always been, he lived deep within a rather luxurious, abandoned temple forged by the his ancestors of the previous eras, and spent most of his life, nicely tucked away, enjoying his dreams, good or bad, when it was quiet, he was most at home. Though one vision one lazy afternoon made him change.

Without warning, Reefer's eyes immediate shot open and he stood, and cawed loudly to his siblings. He detailed on his vision during his sleep, the vision of the mysterious stargate, the feeling of it felt ominous, deadly, and dangerous, something wasn't right, he had heard of the stargate once before, but to see it in a vision meant a whole other matter, this wasn't good... He had to leave, his family respectfully agreeing, and he hurried off, to the town of Medburn, only to see no gate had opened. But he insisted he stay, and took up to living in the town, having his own luxurious treehouse forged using his psychic energy from an early age in the town, though nobody believed his warnings, he still insisted the town stay on their guard... And waited, in the hopes more dreams could give him his answers.

Currently Reefer has been staying in the town for a while, taking up the job of becoming the town's fortune teller, and part time "relaxationist", and is therefore a well known resident in it, spending half his lifespan there, from 12 to 24. Known as a lazy, tired but chill bird who's psychic powers can become immensely strong, making him powerful yet non threatening to his friends, it is impossible not to relax next to him, he just... radiates a sense of relaxation around him. A good quality to be sure.

This seems very interesting; and one of my first roleplays was a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon one, so there's a weird nostalgia factor to it. I'll be posting a character soon - I really like the look of it so far.
