@greywolf375 Skyler Merinth

As you wake up, your first instinct is to itch your left inner wrist. You rub your wrist for a while, until the itching goes away. When you look at the spot it's red from your scratching nails, but there's nothing else to be seen. As you sit up and plan to go on with your day as usual, your head seems to move like in a trance. Your eyes stop to lie on your bedside table.
There lies a phone-sized weird looking device. It is black and has a rotary dial with the numbers zero to nine on it. The device has blue features. You have never seen it before. You step closer and take it into your hand. It's lighter than expected. The device has a cover over their display that you could just push open as though opening a book. But when you try the weird technique blinks twice and then there appears a text on the upper middle of the cover. You hadn't even noticed that there was a small part of the cover being not just a cover, but a little dark screen for signs to appear on.

Where should you know the pin code from? This is just weird.

Rak slowly got up from his long night at the bar. He wasn't drinking, he actually worked at this bar as a bouncer. He forced himself out of bed as he had stayed up a little late after getting home. After a losing streak of Smite, he was determined to get the first win of the day, and sacrificed some sleep for that last victorious game. It was a few hours before he would begin his job as a delivery driver for Papa Johns. Most of his work consisted of preparing the restaurant for the busier later hours though.

He rolled to the side of his bed and sat for a moment allowing himself time to adjust to the day. He scratched his wrist as normal until it was a little red. As he got up, he looked to his desk and noticed something odd lying in front of his keyboard. It was nothing he had ever seen before. It looked like some weird rotary cell phone. It almost looks technopunkish. He thought to himself. Where on earth did I get this though?

He picked it up and began to inspect it. He tried opening it's cover to find out more when it suddenly reacted. The cover said to enter a pin. Did I forget the pin already? I bet I set it up last night and forgot. When would I have gotten this last night? No one gave me anything. I didn't bring this back with me either. He was starting to remember last night more clearly as he woke up. It was as uneventful a night as any before. Did someone slip this into my room last night? I wonder if this means I'm making the pin. This is weird, but let's make sure it's something I can remember. 7209347 That should work. seven digits, beginning and ending with seven, seventy-two is a good number, nine minus two and three plus four are seven, three goes into nine, and yeah I like these numbers so that should be good. The odder the system he made for memorizing something the more likely he was to remember it.

Skyler wakes up slowly, having just had a rough graveyard shit at the local Walmart. 'The local Walmart people, the kind you tend to see at Walmart more than anywhere else, ha been here, and were in a foul temper, every last one of them. She managed to serve them, thankfully without much incident, except for the one lady who refused to believe that no, just because it doesn't have a bar-code, does not make it free. And the family that thought it was OK to try-before-you-buy with ice-cream... and the person who, for whatever reason, had come in a brilliantly pink flamingo suit. That one had made me laugh, to be fair, an it would have been good, if he hadn't been so damned condescending to everyone.' She thought to herself

Skyler grumbled on about this and more o a few more minutes before realizing that there was a strange, sky-blue device on her nightstand, where she was sure that there hadn't been one before she had gone to sleep. She picked it up, and saw that it was asking for a PIN number. She wracked her brains, trying to remember i she had ever seen a similar device, to which her mind responded that she had in fact never seen a similar device. "Well, might as well try something, seeing as it just kinda appeared here and started demanding things. Why not.... 8795431. Doesn't particularly mean anything, but it sounds like a good PIN number anyways.." she mutters aloud, entering the number into the device via the keypad. She then just kind o sat there, looking a it blearily, still waking up.
