[IC] Cell-mates

The falling behemoth caused the earth beneath Lorek to rumble, making Lorek fall to his knees. Lorek did not care, as he much needed the rest. The behemoth had put up a great deal of a fight and left Lorek huffing and puffing. However, he was grateful to fight such a powerful creature, as his magical prowess had increased tenfold after the fight.

Nothing became any stronger, but I'm getting closer to learning it all... Lorek looked at his staff, and it seemed to look back at him with power. Maybe they'll have Meteor in Moogle Village... Lorek stood up and brushed himself off, his strength regained. He took a few steps forward to continue his journey, but suddenly, everything went black.

Lorek found himself on his back and stood up, quickly observed his environment. He was surrounded by several beings, all that seemed human. 6 males, 1 female. Most of them looked like you're typical human, but one was clearly bigger than the rest. Another looked like a Cocoon soldier, which made him instinctively grab his staff. Another looked like a Cocoon politician, with his fancy tux, which also put him on edge as well. The smallest of the humans was something he didn't recognize at all, his attire strange. There was a man with a hat that looked like he could have been from Gran Pulse, but he couldn't tell. The female definitely looked from Gran Pulse, so he took a step back towards her, his front facing the rest.

Was I captured by Cocoon? Lorek began to slightly panic. What do they want me for?

The Silencer grabbed the torch, and paused to inspect it. The thing was an antique! He'd never seen anything like it, aside from a history book. Putting it to the powder trail, he barely flinched when the explosive substance ignited, trailing sparks across the floor. The stack of juryrigged explosives caught fire, and there was a few brief seconds of apprehension.

"Fire in the hole!" The Silencer called, repositioning himself in front of the Prosecutor and holding his arm in front of his face.

And then there was an explosion, not an enormous one, but its force shook the cell and brought dust pouring down from the ceiling. As the smoke started to clear, it was plain for all to see that the bottom hinge had been blown out of its fixings. Not wasting any time, the Silencer ran forwards and threw his weight against the door in one heavy motion of kinetic energy.

The door gave way with a loud metallic creak, hitting the floor beyond with an echoing slam.

"Hey, what the-" someone, barely visible through the haze, called out in confusion.

The Silencer reached forwards, grabbed the stranger by the neck and threw him against the closest wall. Then he moved forwards, just as another guard - a man dressed in more outlandish clothing - tried to swing a baton at him. The Silencer caught the man's wrist, snapping it with one fluid move, and then slamming him in the face with an open palm. With a whimper, the guard fell down.

Bending over, the Silencer reached for what looked to be a pistol - not the kind he'd worked with before - but a pistol nonetheless. By now, a whole commotion was kicking up on the other side of this new room. It was expansive, lined with barred cells down either wall, with a central atrium. More guards were rushing forwards, some holding batons, others reaching for their pistols attached to their belts.

The Silencer aimed his newly acquired weapon at the first of the guards, pulled the trigger, and a red laser beam emitted forth - smashing into the chest of his target, and sending them sprawling head over heels.

"Onward friend!" Ren spoke to the heavy as she grabbed her lamp and followed the Silencer before smashing the 'antique' lamp over a guard's head. She grabbed herself a gun and began firing at other enemies. Ren didn't quite understand what she was doing, but the lasers found their targets nonetheless. She thought it better to be shooting something, since she knew the blunt object would never be as effective as a sword.

There was only one other moment in Edgeworth's life more pivotal than this. The moment his dad died. He dreaded the explosion, and yet awaited it with glee. He was used to being stuck in an office, not being part of the action. He braced himself. The door flew off its hinges and clattered onto the ground. He followed the Silencer out of the room, cautiously. He looked up to see a man with a baton charging at him and his new 'friends.' He threw himself onto the ground when the guard tried to strike. He then stood up and punched the guard in the nose. Gee, this was fun! He heard a loud cracking sound, and almost smiled. He grabbed the guards baton, and hit him with it, twice. Once in the head, once in the stomach. "Lord I enjoyed that." He muttered.

Gyro ran for the open door. The first thing he does is look for some sort of exit from this labyrinth of prison cells, he started to walk further down the corridor when a figure tries to take a hold of him. Gyro reels back and throws his fist at him, the connection was hard and Gyro yelps and shakes his hand. On the person's belt was some sort of steel baton, he tore it off and spun it around in his hand.
"Anyone find the exit? I think we need to find where our weapons are!"

"I imagine one would be at the end of this hall," Ren stepped back a space and fired again, hitting a rather large guard in the head with the laser bullet. "Where else would all of these guards be coming from?" she pulled the trigger again, but the gun didn't fire. So, she threw it at the nearest guard, then quickly elbowed him in the nose and took his gun. Ren shot him in the chest, before going back to firing at the masses.

Edgeworth had refused to give up the baton. It was pretty useful. He had kicked his attacker in the sot much, sending him to the ground. He then kneed another in the back, and hit his head with the baton. He quickly glanced at Ren. "Well the guards are probably coming from where they're keeping our weapons!" He yelled above the gunfire. "So I don't think we want to go there! Yet." He tired to hit another guard, who quickly produced a pistol. He knocked it out of his hand, and kicked it back into the cell. The guard raised his baton, but Edgeworth blocked the strike.

Friend. Maybe woman was part of RED. Heavy ran out the door, looked at red man holding gun. It shot crits. Red crits. "Arrghhh, now is coward killing time!" He yelled excitedly, as he grabbed a pistol from one of the dead guards. He pulled the trigger as fast as he could, firing off 5 laser shots. The shots hit 3 guards, one in the head, one twice in the arm, and another one twice in the arm. Then the gun wouldn't shoot. "What is this new crappy gun?" He said, as a laser shot was fired towards him.

"Limited shots friend, have to let it charge," Ren picked up another pistol and threw it towards Heavy. "If they suck so much, just use those giant hands of yours and beat them to death," she glanced to the side of the gun. Two bars were colored in and one was slowly filling. Guess that's how they keep track. "That's exactly where I'd want to go if that's where they're storing our things!"

Gyro retracts the baton back into his palm and spins the baton in his hand. He reels back his arm and throws the baton, it zooms towards where the guards are. It hits a guard square in the head, the baton still having speed proceeds to hit another guard. They both hold their heads and collapse on the ground. Gyro smiles and throws his fist up in the air, then his expression drops as he notices a pistol pointed at him. Gyro dodges out of the way and proceeds to charge at him. A laser grazes his arm and he yells. Gyro tackles the guard on the ground. "I think if we keep this up we'll be able to get our weapons back! I think they're starting to fan out!"

A laser round bounced off of the Silencer's helmet, leaving a blackened scar across the crimson paintwork. He turned in that same instant, and put a hole through his attacker's stomach. Looking around, he realised the guards were now on the defensive, as the Silencer's adhoc squad of apparent bad asses tore through their ranks with frightening abandon.

Using the temporary lull in combat to his advantage, the Silencer approached a nearby terminal. It seemed futuristic, yet somehow old. Perhaps the resistance - although at this point, the Silencer was starting to doubt these guys were resistance fighters - had gained themselves some redundant technology and re-purposed it.

In any case, it was English, which was good, and its coding familiar. A few taps of the keyboard brought forth a wealth of information.

The Silencer studied the map, and took a few seconds to formulate a plan. "Through the far door, is a corridor that'll take us right into an enemy strong point. If we get through that, there's a retractable landing pad not so far away. We might be able to get ourselves a ride!"

@LordofthePies "Oh sure, and get yourself killed. Idiot!" He rugby tackled his opponent, who opened his and and his baton bounced over the ground. He hit him in the neck, knocking him out. "You know, I'm beginning to like theese odds!" He noticed a small opening in the guards, if he could widen it, they would be able to break through. He stood up and charged forwards, nabbing a pistol from a guards belt. "Ok, Miles, all you gotta do is point and shoot!" He raised the gun and fired, missing the target, a guards chest, but hitting his leg. The guard recoiled in pain. Edgeworth charged forwards, and snapped the guards neck. He ran towards the store of weapons, and spun around, firing a a guard following him and hitting him in the chest. "In here!" He signalled.

Ren raised an eyebrow but was eager to get her weapons back. She followed Miles into the room and grabbed her things. She put her dagger and shortsword in her belt and drew her greatsword. "Ah, how I miss the feeling of slicing through flesh," she ran back outside and cut a guard in half, a smile appearing on her face.

In all the chaos, Lorek managed to remain unnoticed. It wasn't surprising that he wasn't seen, as he was only about a foot tall. He didn't do anything to attack the guards, and simply stayed behind the others, keeping attention off of himself. He still didn't know anyone in the group and didn't trust them, as most of them seemed to be from Cocoon.

"In here!" The lawyer looking one yelled to the rest of the group. The Gran Pulse woman ran towards the stash and grabbed swords and daggers alike.

Strange, my staff didn't seem to be affected... Perhaps the people who abducted him didn't see the artifact as a weapon, and allowed him to keep it. Ah, oh well. I don't want to use it quite yet. I'll continue to remain hidden from all the chaos.

Gyro took two batons from the ground and put them in his steel ball holster, he held one in his hands and beat the guard on the floor until he stopped moving and writhed like a worm. He paced down the hallway, looking around him and seeing some more cells. Now a few feet away from the group he gestured for them to continue. "We should start making our way down and out of this place, we need to find our weapons first! No need to stay here and waste time!" He shouted behind his shoulder. As he turned around a guard came charging towards him, he held his grazed arm and ran to the guard; Gyro head-butted the guard and became dazed. They both held their heads in pain but Gyro spun and extended the baton he had in his hands and swung it at the guard's temples.
"Mama Mia!..." Gyro says, exhausted.

The heavy got hit by the laser in the chest [[-20hp 280/300hp left]]. He looked at the wound, brushed it, and when he looked up, the guards were dead. He heard fancy guys voice, and ran through the guards. Heavy had heard the girl, but ignored her. He wanted Sasha back. He ran into the weapon room, looked at the shelves to see Sasha. He took her down from the shelf and checked to see if she was loaded. When she wasn't, he reloaded her with the ammo on his belt. He then tugged her tightly in to his body and said "You are the best gun, Sasha."

Lyron just looked around as they started to punch the people. Some picked up some strange device which shot out red line things at the enemies and when it hit, they seem to die. What strange weaponry. He has seen nothing like it. He followed them, keeping behind cover and following the seemingly small Laguz [Lorek].

He then found himself in front of a jailor's body. On his pocket was his precious Divinestone. Wait, why wasn't it confiscated? They probably thought it was just a simple beautiful stone that shone in a yellowish hue. With a smile, he disabled the seal and he was covered in blinding light.

Out came a dragon as the light disappeared. It was a silver dragon, his wings folded. The guards were astounded as they saw the majestic beast before starting to fire once more. The lasers bounced off the scales but it still hurt Lyron. He then breathed fire upon them, burning the guards but Lyron was careful not to hit any of his cell-mates.

An eidolon? Lorek watched the cloaked man (Lyron @Polaris North) in amazement as he summoned a silver dragon from a stone artifact. Is he l'Cie? Or is he just a powerful mage? Either way, Lorek decided to keep a tab on the man. Still, no guards had seemed to attack him, as they probably figured the small creature harmless. After all, all that Lorek held was a fancy looking stick, and he hadn't done anything to show that he was a threat. When this was all over, Lorek would try and and talk to the cloaked man, see if he could try and learn some magic from him.

Lyron continued to look around, breathing fire before staggering back. One of the lasers finally damaged the front part of his armor. He then took a look around and then transformed back into a human. Lyron had some blood seeping from his stomach but he overall looked find though. He then hid behind a hallway so he could avoid the fire.
