[The One]

Violet walked to school slowly, she was early, as usual. She yawned softly as she entered the school gates. So far, it was just a normal day although, she would soon realize that her was about to change. Considering she was early she laid on her back on the soft grass and closed her eyes, relaxing herself. It was then, for the first time ever, she saw a monstrous creature, it wrapped around her, she tried to run away but no matter how fast she ran the thing kept getting closer and closer. Then, she heard the faint whispers of the darkness.

"You're my little puppet now, Violet."

With that she shot up with a gasped. She breathed heavily and quickly looked around only to realize she had been out for an entire hour. Where had the time flown to? It was unusual for her to fall asleep, and have such nightmares. She stood slowly and rubbed her eyes for a moment. That dream felt so real, it scared her and it wasn't often she was scared.

Max was late for school and it was not the first time either, he was right next to the gates of the school entrance. How was it he was late, he left early to get to school. He was forced to think for a moment about what he did to get here, after a short pause he wondered if the new route he took was even a short route. "BAHHHHH," he said to himself at the school entrance grounds. He was an hour late, how could that even happen, the route looked short. The young man quickly messing up his purple hair for a moment our of frustration which was an extension of being late again and the fact he would probably get detention. Detention meant he would have to stay in school and that meant he could not have fun which the thought almost made him pull some of his hair out.

He had moved from the gates towards the school building, as he began to pull on his hair though he soon stopped which prevented him pulling any of his hair out when something caught his attention. Someone else was outside too, a young girl who looked familiar. It was someone from his class or, at least, some of them, was she late too? It was not very plausible as she was usually early or on time. A thought soon came to his head, they both had the same class at this very moment so maybe he could get away with being late with some excuse.

"Hey Violet" he yelled, probably something he should not of done, but he kind of did it now so he had to commit to it now.

[The One]

Violet wasn't really paying attention, her mind was on the dream she had. It felt so real to her, and she couldn't put it off. She looked up for a moment to see somebody, Max David Black. He was in the same class as her. She hadn't noticed until now, it must of been about five minutes since he called her name. She sighed and closed her eyes for a moment, trying to calm herself down before looking back to him with a small smile however, it was obviously fake.

"Hi Max. Late again I see? Although, this time I cannot complain as I too, I'm late. First time for everything, I guess."

She sighed and looked towards the exit of the school gate. She stared for a few minutes before nodding to him. They had class to attend to, and she didn't want to be later than she already was. Honestly though, she had a bad feeling. There was something adnormal about that dream and she didn't like it. As much as she tried to, she couldn't put it out of her mind.

Max stood on the spot waiting to see if she noticed him, she seemed to be a bit slow, something that was certainly odd. Perhaps something was bothering her. He raised his left eyebrow for a moment though it soon returned back to its normal default position when she finally said something back. For a moment he wondered what she was doing, she was late yet she was still standing around like she was not so. It seemed some time passed like she kept getting lost in thought though when she gave him a nod it seemed like she had snapped out of it.

"I think we should get to class, we are probably in more trouble now anyway," he said hoping she heard what he said before she could drift off again. Hopefully, the principle was not out and about or he would really give it to Max and probably give the I am disappointed and don't do it again line to Violet as well as all first-time offenders. He gave her a moment before getting closer and trying to get her indoors to make her less late than she already was. 'Violet is acting kind of strange today' he thought to himself. He soon waved his right hand in front of her face to see if she would react.

He soon took a bold move and took her hand just to get her inside the school building, even if she drifted off he could get her to class. He did go red doing so, he hoped she did not disprove, he only wanted her to get off lightly. If she drifted off maybe they could get off with being late by making an excuse up. His mind drifted as he walked her to the school building, his face remaining red though he did not know why. She was a person like him and he had done it before with some other female student at the school.
