I think you are trying to balance things a bit too much. Although you should realize turning into a dragon does make him a bigger target for silver weapons. More importantly you were fine with this last time, thus I wonder why you have decided otherwise this time. I think I recall using this form exactly Zero times during all Compacts we had. Therefore it's there in the backpacker once again.

Upon learning of his "Situation" with his parasitic partner, they confronted him with a proposition in which Roman would be able to permenantly seperate himself from Rin without killing him or Rin. The only catch is that he lends their unique talents for their cause.

"Rome" - Standing at about 5' 11" 198lbs with dark brown hair and Blue eyes. Well built and lean thanks to his high metabolism featuring a tattoo of an "Anarchy" symbol on his left arm. If you look closely you can see what looks like steam constantly coming off his skin thanks to Rin-aziel. Youll often see him with a cigarette in his mouth to hide this trait. His natural bodyheat is also abnormally high (about 110°f) and you can start to see gray strands of hair on his head. Roman often sports his old leather coat with a built in shoulder holster for his sidearm in the lining. Calling it his "lucky coat"
"Rin-aziel" - She can pretty much take any form she wants. Her very essence resembles that of a shroud of mist. Her physical manifestation of a body is usually that of a female figure. Pulling whatever pictures of women Rome has in his head or on those magazines he reads occasionally. She has no physical surface tension and very cool to the touch. If you touch her, that part will swirl and fade away like pushing through a foggy mist.

"Roman" - Stubborn, sarcastic, and an asshole would be some things a person would call him if they just met him, but if the stopped for a second and payed attention.... he's still a stubborn, sarcastic asshole. Often making jokes at the absolutely worst time and slacking off whenever he gets the chance, but deep down he is kind hearted and would quickly step in front of a bullet for someone he just met (and likes). He has a deep appreaciation for old things like cars, guns, art, music and traditions. He respects other peoples religions and points of views but will not let them convince him it is the "only" way. He always looks for the option everyone else looks over. Searching for that coinflip that lands on its rim.
"Rin-aziel" - Like many old people she is a very patient... umm thing. Being around has given her the patience of a saint, just don't call her one if you value your bodily functions. That being said, she also tends to let her emotions take over when she wishes. Calling it "theraputic" when she lashes out often resulting in something dead, tortured, or gone mentally insane. A vast fondness for all things modern. Ranging from the tech, to the foods (even though she cannot eat or even drink blood anymore) and even the music. ESPECIALLY the music. One of the only things she is grateful for humans to have invented. Often open minded but when it comes to personal safety, survival is priority.
☞Position Within The Military☜
Roman was one of the few that could call themselves Spetsnaz after he joined the Soviet millitary at age 17 (forged papers) he was labeled one of the prestigious few to wear the black balaclava. That was until he met Rin. After the "Incident" he needed to leave the country.
☞Powers, Skills, & Talents☜
Powers-
Roman and Rin are symbiotically tethered to eachother. Whatever Rome feels, so does Rin and vice versa. They can suppress eachothers thoughts and emotions easily unless under stress. Then they often share a clusterfuck of mixed feelings and thoughts which usually combine into something... dangerous. Rome technically has no powers except for the sole ability to accept Rin-aziel in his body and not die from mental breakdown and prolonged exposure to Rin. Rin is technically a vampire with a physical body long gone thanks to cruel experimentation. Forcing her share Romans mind to survive. Rin can actively release herself from Roman whenever she feels like but prolonged seperation can cause Roman to feel side effects, almost like withdrawls that of a powerfully addictive drug. Making Roman's body feel as if on a permanent adrenaline rush. He can stay focused longer and even "forget" pain momentarily when they are together.
Rin on the other hand can freely move to another host but "normal" hosts tend to wither and die within a couple hours. The severe mental stress of her taking over the body results in madness or dementia in which Rin has no choice but to take full control of her hosts body and thus, killing them out of pity. Roman on the other hand has been with her for over 6 years. During their inital meeting, Rin had tried a full takeover of Roman numerous times, but his mental stability and will is just too strong.
Skills-
Roman is an ex-Spetsnaz soldier born to fight and kill. He has extensive weapons training and superior CQC training. Thanks to Rin he also has a strong mental focus that of which one would feel under extreme duress and filled with adrenaline. Often seeing things as if slower than normal. Ten seconds seem to last a minute and combat is instinctual, like breathing or blinking.
Rin-aziel is old and knowledgeable of many things unknown to the current world. Speaking in many tongues as if they were all fluent to her. (Exe tongues of fire that Jesus' disciples were given) physically pulling the fresh memories of her other "hosts" left her very knowledgeable of mundane things. Remembering passcodes or specific numerical algorythms or manipulation and torture of her victims until she gets what she wants. This can also be a nuisance since the sheer mass of memories often overlap her own.
Talents-
Roman has an affinity for older things and often fills his head with knowledge of older cars, guns, etc. He can tell you the year it was probabbly from and how to use it, just don't ask him to take it apart and put it back together. The only thing he could do that with is his trusty Ak74 and pistol.
Rin-aziel has an uncanny ability with numbers and can remember anything you tell her. A photographic memory of sorts. (This is much stronger when connected to Roman)
☞Flaws, Weaknesses, & Disabilities☜
Both Rin and Romans biggest weakness is eachother. If they choose to seperate or forcibly seperate through unorthodox means (exe physical severing of the tether or some forms of exorcism) and are unable to return back to each other, Roman can suffer from massive withdrawl effects like severe headaches, physical and mental weakness, dementia, mania, and possibly death within several hours. If Rin-aziel is left without a host for only a few hours she can die. Slowly evaporating into the air until no more. With no physical mind to keep her together, her mind and psychic will will slowly fragment
Romans secondary weakness is the occasional mental merging of two entities. Temporary loss of memory or rememberance of memories that aren't his own. Loss of identity or excruciantingly detailed nightmares. A good nights rest is rare and almost unheard of. This can be proven from the dark bags around his eyes.
Rinn has an alternative drawback. To consume a host, to absorb their memories, their feelings, their very soul is extremely addictive, almost euphoric in nature. To reside in a body she cannot assimilate and control is almost like a c*ck tease. Driving her insane until she gives into her insatiable pleasure and leaves Roman to find another temporary host. The only way to sedate these addictions is for Roman to let her loose in a controlled area. Everything that Rin posesses MUST be alive or undead and MUST die either during or afterwards in some way. Rin can momentarily control a dead body if she was previously posessing the body while alive.
Rin cannot physically move anything bigger than a quarter(that in itself requires extensive concentration and a tether to Roman. She can pretty much push a button and that's it. She has no sense of touch and cannot feel anything that touches her. She despises this and would give anything to feel this sensation just once.
Even though Roman and Rin share mind and body, they do not share everything. Roman cannot feel if there is a vampiric presence or something otherworldly in the room even if it smacked him in the face without Rin telling him. Most likely she won't since if the entity does not choose to reveal themselves, they likely do not want others to know. Roman has control of his body no matter how hard Rin tries and this in itself can cause problems if she does not agree with something he chooses or vice versa. On the contrary, two heads are sometimes NOT better than one.

Romans prized posession given to him by his father. It was one of the first centerfire pistols given to Russian generals in the old days. This revolver chambered in .44r was revolutionary in design with its top break ejection and ability to quickly reload another 6 rounds in less than a second with the help of speedloaders. Its considered archaic nowadays but Roman is fond of older things.
If the mission calls for a more casual look, Roman will usually turn to his lucky jacket. It holsters his revolver neatly under his right shoulder as well as a couple speedloaders. (left handed)

It was quite obvious Roman was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth, in fact he was lucky to have a spoon at all at times. Living in Siberia, Russia was tough but thankfully he had a loving mother and a strict father to keep him going. Spending his younger years playing with the local kids his age was all he could really do aside from his daily chores around the house. The large apartment complex was filled with many others just as poverty stricken as his family, and it probabbly wasn't the best atmosphere to raise a family given the gangs, drug deals, and extortioning going on right outside his door. Roman made the best of it though, he had no other choice. His mother stayed home, cooked, and cleaned while his father worked triple shifts just to put food on the table workin at a metal fabrication company. Roman considering his situation he was doing rather well.
All was good until Romans mother had someone knock on her door with some bad news. Unfortunately Dimitri Petrovik, Romans father had an incident at work. One of the stamping machines took hold of Dimitris arm and crushed it into many different pieces. Lana, his mother was devistated. Thankfully Dimitri survived but at great cost. He was constantly in pain and the medical bills were piling up. Rome had no choice but to start working at age 10. Doing chores around the complex and delivering groceries to elders who cannot leave the house. No matter how much Roman earned, his father pissed away on vodka and painkillers. Roman had no choice but to start working with the local gangs to make enough money to survive. Bringing packages to undisclosed locations and stealing from peoples houses at age 15. This was the life he had no choice but to live. This is also when he found out that he was pretty damn good at it. Soon resorting to a life as a thug as a main means for income, he used whatever he could to his advantage in paying off his families debts.
When Roman turned 17, he got fed up with dealing with his deadbeat father. Always blaming the pain of his accident to bolster his need for alcahol or drugs. Never bothering to even acknowledge his wife or Roman and only saw them as a means of paying for his booze. Roman fell into a hatred filled rage and beat the ever loving shit out of his father kicking him out. Threatening that if he ever came back he would put a bullet into his head with the very same gun his father gave him to "protect the family". Roman was originally going to sell the revolver but figured it would prove useful in case something got too out of hand. A couple days later Dimitri came back during the night in a drunken rage and accidently killed his wife who had pulled a gun on him out of fear. Dimitri saw red and smashed Lana with a wine bottle to the head. Dimitri cried for hours over what he had done while Roman slept and decided to end his own life with the very gun he gave Roman to protect his family with.
When Roman awoke from the sound of the gunshot, he feared the worst. Running outside to where his dead parents lie, he watched the gruesome sight while a couple concerned neighbors also managed to look out their doorways. Roman saw black, the only thing he could think was why... why did this happen? Why did they deserve this? Why did he keep the gun? Roman yanked the gun out of his dead fathers fingers and placed the barrel between his teeth. *click.... nothing....*click click click. Still nothing. Roman cried for days, unable to join his family.... Alone.

His low test score only ment that his natural ability was not enough and he needed to work harder. Growing ambitious and anxious to prove himself he volunteered to be a part of a recon group sent to an old biological weapons facility that was shut down in the late 70's. The facility recently sent out an automated alarm to all old soviet channels stating that some kind of hazardous material has breached its safety container and may prove harmful if left alone.
Spetsnaz was in charge of guarding a biohazard research team to survey the leak and possibly clean it up before it becomes something more dangerous. Roman and the rest of their team were there in case it is a trap designed by some terrorist orginization which wouldnt be unheard of. It was only a matter of opening the doors and finding out what suprises lay inside.

It was dark... pitch black to be exact. Rin-aziel could not see anything for quite some time now. It didn't matter anyway since the room she was locked in was empty. Empty except for that stupid contraption. It kept her alive... shomehow, but just barely. It kept her drowsy as well. She hated it, it was torture. A long cylinder filled with thick red liquid. Rin had no idea what it was, but it tethered to her like it was alive. The only thing keeping her from wasting away. The echo of a light dripping filled the silent space. Rin counted the drops and wondered what that was. Maybe it was the machine? Maybe it was leaking? That would explain why her tether felt weaker, she felt weaker. This was not good....
Voices echoed through the thin metal walls. A foreign language to her, but it was clearly conversation and not some rats crawling through the debris outside the container. The dripping sound stopped and the tether was broken. Whatever that contraption was is no longer keeping her alive. She had no choice but to somehow get the outside voices close enough to open the container. "H-help me!" Rin's voice echoed inside the container. "P-please h-help!" She tried once more. That was all she could muster with her degrading strength, she needed a host asap.
The Hazmat team heard her but was very wary. There's no way a woman could be trapped down here for so long, it may of been a trap. Hazmat called for Spetsnaz assistance as quickly as possible while they made preperations and took readings with geiger counters and various devices. "All clean, no radiation sir." One of the hazmat spooke to their commanding officer. Roman got into ready position with his seven other teammates weapons drawn. "Open it!" Team leader yelled, and hazmat obeyed. The large 15'x20' door unlatched with a pressurized hiss, swapping cold air and letting the many cones of light from the attachments on the soldiers AK's and the hazmat teams handheld flashlights. "Its empty!" One of the soldiers said taking a step inside. The room was filled with fog and only a tiny metal contraption that seemed to be leaking what looked like coagulated blood on the floor. "I want samples of what's coming out of there. Let me know if it could be dang-errragggghhh!" The surrounding fog condensed and surrounded the Hazmat officer. Blood curdling screams filled the container as Rin pushed her smoke right through the mans gas mask, Filling his lungs and soon posessing his body.
Rin felt euphoric, the rush of taking ones body and destroying ones mind. His memories were hers now, and she wasn't finished yet. The posessed officer pulled out his sidearm and shot himself in the head. Blood sprayed everwhere as the dead man still stood there gun drawn. Firing randomly at the others. Roman fired back, as did his team. Watching the man get pumped full of lead as he ran and grabbed hold of another. Rin ripped off the soldiers mask and escaped the dead body and retreated into a nice "fresh" one. Soon repeating the process as the soldier screamed in pain. Aiming his AK at his fellow comrades in arms. Killing two on the spot. Roman took cover as the others panicked. Keeping a bead on the smoke trail and making sure to keep as far away as possible from it. Rin repeated her process, jumping from a soldier to another hazmat. Ripping off their mask and posessing them. Then taking his flashlight and smashing his own face in until it was unrecognizable.
After only a few seconds of chaos, all that was left of the eight Spetsnaz soldiers and four hazmat officers was Rin and Roman. Unlike all the others, Roman managed to destroy the temporary host enough that she had no choice but to leave the vessel. Taking form of a human woman and slowly walking towards the terrified soldier. "I hope you don't think to harshly of me Lieutenant Petrovik." Rin read off of Romans nametag, recalling the temporary memories of his now deceased superiors. "I only took there lives to survive, I've been stuck in that box for a very long time." Roman raised his AK and fired his entire magazine into her chest.... nothing. The smoke blew away but came back shortly after. "All I need is one more to escape this place, just please help me?" Rin-aziel cried. She wanted to leave so badly. The people who kept her here did horrible experiments to her, unable to remember what she originally was before all this. She just needed a vessel to get her out. "Take my hand and you will understand." She said stretching out her arm. Roman was hesitant, his entire team just died from this thing, could she really be trusted? "Absolutely not!" Roman shouted. Rin's face grew upset as she put her hand down. "You damn humans are so stubborn!" She said before lunging right at him. Turning to smoke and surrounding Roman. There was no hope, he couldn't do anything. Roman screamed in fear as everything went black. Rin's memories flooded his own. Showing the tortures she endured and the madness she created. These images would turn others insane... manic and brain damaged but Roman grew calm, He seemed to process these images and understand them. He felt sympathy for Rin and felt nothing but remorse for the smoke filled images. After the images faded, everything went black.

@The Grey Dust There. You're co-gm now. If anyone has a problem with your dragon, they can direct their complaints to you, and you can answer for it. It is now your job to be fair and set the tone of the rp.

Well I guess I've been assigned to review character bios and help make the calls on them.
While this is a nicely developed application, it seems a bit out of place given the nature of this thread. It isn't quite a supernatural-free-for-all, and while I suppose demons and magic may or may not exist for the sake of keeping the continuity of supernatural weirdness (or they may have had existed long ago and died out). It would be difficult to integrate someone that is openly classified as a demon into a world designed without them.
That being said, we have come the conclusion that a minor edit will work to make this/these unique character(s) fit in a bit more. The first being that Rin is not a demon, but rather a vampire, plain and simple, originating from one of the lineages found on the first page. I believe we have a class of "Psychic Vampires" which would fit her abilities.
That being said, if we gave Rin the ability of her possession a form of psychic melding or something of the quasi-nature. She would be a vampire that could control minds of others by metaphysically having her consciousness invade another being. Perhaps by a vampire bite or within a certain range, but this requires her to leave her original body to dine/feast upon the memories and "psychic energies" of her target.
Now the awkward part is when her body was accidentally destroyed and she became somewhat trapped within Roman. Thus she was unable to return, but now may let her astral self wander from Roman, using him as the host as she can't quite kill him since she'd have nowhere to go without him?
Anyways, these are merely suggestions, which may help incorporate the character into this world a bit more adequately than were it stands. Do you think we can incorporate these changes into the design of the character or is Rin to be a demon in this vampire thread which seems a bit out of place?

Upon learning of his "Situation" with his symbiotic partner, they confronted him with a proposition in which Roman would be able to permenantly seperate himself from Rin without killing him or Rin. The only catch is that he lends their unique talents for their cause.

"Rome" - Standing at about 5' 11" 198lbs with dark brown hair and Blue eyes. Well built and lean thanks to his high metabolism featuring a tattoo of an "Anarchy" symbol on his left arm. If you look closely you can see what looks like steam constantly coming off his skin thanks to Rin-aziel. Youll often see him with a cigarette in his mouth to hide this trait. His natural bodyheat is also abnormally high (about 110°f) and you can start to see gray strands of hair on his head. Roman often sports his old leather coat with a built in shoulder holster for his sidearm in the lining. Calling it his "lucky coat"
"Rin-aziel" - She can pretty much take any form she wants. Her very essence resembles that of a plume of smoke. Her physical manifestation of a body is usually that of a female figure. Pulling whatever pictures of women Rome has in his head or on those magazines he reads occasionally. She has no physical surface tension and very cool to the touch. If you touch her, that part will swirl and fade away like pushing through a cloud of smoke.

"Roman" - Stubborn, sarcastic, and an asshole would be some things a person would call him if they just met him, but if the stopped for a second and payed attention.... he's still a stubborn, sarcastic asshole. Often making jokes at the absolutely worst time and slacking off whenever he gets the chance, but deep down he is kind hearted and would quickly step in front of a bullet for someone he just met (and likes). He has a deep appreaciation for old things like cars, guns, art, music and traditions. He respects other peoples religions and points of views but will not let them convince him it is the "only" way. He always looks for the option everyone else looks over. Searching for that coinflip that lands on its rim.
"Rin-aziel" - Like many old people she is a very patient... umm thing. Being around has given her the patience of a saint, just don't call her one if you value your bodily functions. That being said, she also tends to let her emotions take over when she wishes. Calling it "theraputic" when she lashes out often resulting in something dead, tortured, or gone mentally insane. A vast fondness for all things modern. Ranging from the tech, to the foods (even though she cannot eat) and even the music. ESPECIALLY the music. One of the only things she is grateful for humans to have invented. Often open minded but when it comes to personal safety, survival is priority.
☞Position Within The Military☜
Roman was one of the few that could call themselves Spetsnaz after he joined the Soviet millitary at age 17 (forged papers) he was labeled one of the prestigious few to wear the black balaclava. That was until he met Rin. After the "Incident" he needed to leave the country.
☞Powers, Skills, & Talents☜
Powers-
Roman and Rin are symbiotically tethered to eachother. Whatever Rome feels, so does Rin and vice versa. They can suppress eachothers thoughts and emotions easily unless under stress. Then they often share a clusterfuck of mixed feelings and thoughts which usually combine into something... dangerous. Rome technically has no powers except for the sole ability to accept Rin-aziel in his body and not die from mental breakdown and prolonged exposure to Rin. Rin is technically a smoke based parasite (or demonic being) sharing Romans lifeforce (or soul) to survive. Rin can actively release herself from Roman whenever she feels like but prolonged seperation can cause Roman to feel side effects, almost like withdrawls that of a powerfully addictive drug. Making Roman's body feel as if on a permanent adrenaline rush. He can stay focused longer and even "forget" pain momentarily when they are together.
Rin on the other hand can freely move to another host but "normal" hosts tend to wither and die within a couple hours. The severe mental stress of her taking over the body results in madness or dementia in which Rin has no choice but to take full control of her hosts body and thus, killing them. Roman on the other hand has been with her for over 6 years. During their inital meeting, Rin had tried a full takeover of Roman numerous times, but his mental stability and will is just too strong.
Skills-
Roman is an ex-Spetsnaz soldier born to fight and kill. He has extensive weapons training and superior CQC training. Thanks to Rin he also has a strong mental focus that of which one would feel under extreme duress and filled with adrenaline. Often seeing things as if slower than normal. Ten seconds seem to last a minute and combat is instinctual, like breathing or blinking.
Rin-aziel is old and knowledgeable of many things unknown to the current world. Speaking in many tongues as if they were all fluent to her. (Exe tongues of fire that Jesus' disciples were given) physically pulling the fresh memories of her other "hosts" left her very knowledgeable of mundane things. Remembering passcodes or specific numerical algorythms or manipulation and torture of her victims until she gets what she wants.
Talents-
Roman has an affinity for older things and often fills his head with knowledge of older cars, guns, etc. He can tell you the year it was probabbly from and how to use it, just don't ask him to take it apart and put it back together. The only thing he could do that with is his trusty Ak74 and pistol.
Rin-aziel has an uncanny ability with numbers and can remember anything you tell her. A photographic memory of sorts.
☞Flaws, Weaknesses, & Disabilities☜
Both Rin and Romans biggest weakness is each other. If they choose to seperate or forcibly seperate through unorthodox means (exe physical severing of the tether or some forms of exorcism) and are unable to return back to each other, Roman can suffer from massive withdrawl effects like severe headaches, physical and mental weakness, dementia, mania, and possibly death within several hours. If Rin-aziel is left without a host for only a few hours she can die. Slowly evaporating into the air until no more.
Romans secondary weakness is the occasional mental merging of two entities. Temporary loss of memory or rememberance of memories that aren't his own. Loss of identity or excruciantingly detailed nightmares. A good nights rest is rare and almost unheard of. This can be proven from the dark bags around his eyes.
Rin has an alternative drawback. To consume a host, to absorb their memories, their feelings, their very soul is extremely addictive, almost euphoric in nature. To reside in a body she cannot assimilate and control is almost like a c*ck tease. Driving her insane until she gives into her insatiable pleasure and leaves Roman to find another temporary host. The only way to sedate these addictions is for Roman to let her loose in a controlled area. Everything that Rin posesses MUST be alive and MUST die either during or afterwards in some way. Rin can momentarily control a dead body if she was previously posessing the body while alive.
Rin cannot physically move anything bigger than a quarter(that in itself requires extensive concentration and a tether to Roman). She can pretty much push a button and that's it. She has no sense of touch and cannot feel anything that touches her. She despises this and would give anything to feel this sensation just once.
Even though Roman and Rin share mind and body, they do not share everything. Roman cannot feel if there is a demonic presence or something otherworldly in the room even if it smacked him in the face without Rin telling him. Most likely she won't since if the demon does not choose to reveal themselves, they likely do not want others to know. Roman has control of his body no matter how hard Rin tries and this in itself can cause problems if she does not agree with something he chooses or vice versa. On the contrary, two heads are sometimes NOT better than one.

-Top loading reverse pump action 12gauge shotgun *made in russia
Romans prized posession given to him by his father. It was one of the first centerfire pistols given to Russian generals in the old days. This revolver chambered in .44r was revolutionary in design with its top break ejection and ability to quickly reload another 6 rounds in less than a second with the help of speedloaders. Its considered archaic nowadays but Roman is fond of older things
If the mission calls for a more casual look, Roman will usually turn to his lucky jacket. It holsters his revolver neatly under his right shoulder as well as a couple speedloaders. (left handed)
☞History☜It was quite obvious Roman was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth, in fact he was lucky to have a spoon at all at times. Living in Siberia, Russia was tough but thankfully he had a loving mother and a strict father to keep him going. Spending his younger years playing with the local kids his age was all he could really do aside from his daily chores around the house. The large apartment complex was filled with many others just as poverty stricken as his family, and it probabbly wasn't the best atmosphere to raise a family given the gangs, drug deals, and extortioning going on right outside his door. Roman made the best of it though, he had no other choice. His mother stayed home, cooked, and cleaned while his father worked triple shifts just to put food on the table workin at a metal fabrication company. Roman considering his situation he was doing rather well.
All was good until Romans mother had someone knock on her door with some bad news. Unfortunately Dimitri Petrovik, Romans father had an incident at work. One of the stamping machines took hold of Dimitris arm and crushed it into many different pieces. Lana, his mother was devistated. Thankfully Dimitri survived but at great cost. He was constantly in pain and the medical bills were piling up. Rome had no choice but to start working at age 10. Doing chores around the complex and delivering groceries to elders who cannot leave the house. No matter how much Roman earned, his father pissed away on vodka and painkillers. Roman had no choice but to start working with the local gangs to make enough money to survive. Bringing packages to undisclosed locations and stealing from peoples houses at age 15. This was the life he had no choice but to live. This is also when he found out that he was pretty damn good at it. Soon resorting to a life as a thug as a main means for income, he used whatever he could to his advantage in paying off his families debts.
When Roman turned 17, he got fed up with dealing with his deadbeat father. Always blaming the pain of his accident to bolster his need for alcahol or drugs. Never bothering to even acknowledge his wife or Roman and only saw them as a means of paying for his booze. Roman fell into a hatred filled rage and beat the ever loving shit out of his father kicking him out. Threatening that if he ever came back he would put a bullet into his head with the very same gun his father gave him to "protect the family". Roman was originally going to sell the revolver but figured it would prove useful in case something got too out of hand. A couple days later Dimitri came back during the night in a drunken rage and accidently killed his wife who had pulled a gun on him out of fear. Dimitri saw red and smashed Lana with a wine bottle to the head. Dimitri cried for hours over what he had done while Roman slept and decided to end his own life with the very gun he gave Roman to protect his family with.
When Roman awoke from the sound of the gunshot, he feared the worst. Running outside to where his dead parents lie, he watched the gruesome sight while a couple concerned neighbors also managed to look out their doorways. Roman saw black, the only thing he could think was why... why did this happen? Why did they deserve this? Why did he keep the gun? Roman yanked the gun out of his dead fathers fingers and placed the barrel between his teeth. *click.... nothing....*click click click. Still nothing. Roman cried for days, unable to join his family.... Alone.At age 17 Roman joined the Russian military under false papers. He didn't want to be stuck in that house anymore in fear of what he may do either to himself or others so he stashed away his fathers revolver then shipped himself away to be a dog for the military. Suicide was all he could think of at the time and what better way to die than in an unmarked grave in six feet of snow? That was his initial thoughts but once he started training and discipline and the teachings they gave him, he was actually starting to like the whole idea. He was a born natural at shooting, fighting and quick thinking. He also seemed to have an innate talent for staying calm under pressure. These natural talents gave him much respect among his higher ups and envy from his teammates but he didn't care either way. He was enjoying himself, something that was hard for him to do recently considering the last time he did was at age 10.
After almost 8 years in the force and quite the impressive track record under his belt, he was invited by his captain to apply for testing in the Spetsnaz special operations force. Roman agreed with his captain and decided to go for it. Roman passed the inital exam, but just barely. He was comissioned to a team and sent out to his new outpost up in the siberian mountains to train and use as a home base of operations. His low test score only ment that his natural ability was not enough and he needed to work harder. Growing ambitious and anxious to prove himself he volunteered to be a part of a recon group sent to an old biological weapons facility that was shut down in the late 70's. The facility recently sent out an automated alarm to all old soviet channels stating that some kind of hazardous material has breached its safety container and may prove harmful if left alone.
Spetsnaz was in charge of guarding a biohazard research team to survey the leak and possibly clean it up before it becomes something more dangerous. Roman and the rest of their team were there in case it is a trap designed by some terrorist orginization which wouldnt be unheard of. It was only a matter of opening the doors and finding out what suprises lay inside.It was dark... pitch black to be exact. Rin-aziel could not see anything for quite some time now. It didn't matter anyway since the room she was locked in was empty. Empty except for that stupid contraption. It kept her alive... shomehow, but just barely. It kept her drowsy as well. She hated it, it was torture. A long cylinder filled with thick red liquid. Rin had no idea what it was, but it tethered to her like it was alive. The only thing keeping her from wasting away. The echo of a light dripping filled the silent space. Rin counted the drops and wondered what that was. Maybe it was the machine? Maybe it was leaking? That would explain why her tether felt weaker, she felt weaker. This was not good....
Voices echoed through the thin metal walls. A foreign language to her, but it was clearly conversation and not some rats crawling through the debris outside the container. The dripping sound stopped and the tether was broken. Whatever that contraption was is no longer keeping her alive. She had no choice but to somehow get the outside voices close enough to open the container. "H-help me!" Rin's voice echoed inside the container. "P-please h-help!" She tried once more. That was all she could muster with her degrading strength, she needed a host asap.
The Hazmat team heard her but was very wary. There's no way a woman could be trapped down here for so long, it may of been a trap. Hazmat called for Spetsnaz assistance as quickly as possible while they made preperations and took readings with geiger counters and various devices. "All clean, no radiation sir." One of the hazmat spooke to their commanding officer. Roman got into ready position with his seven other teammates weapons drawn. "Open it!" Team leader yelled, and hazmat obeyed. The large 15'x20' door unlatched with a pressurized hiss, swapping cold air and letting the many cones of light from the attachments on the soldiers AK's and the hazmat teams handheld flashlights. "Its empty!" One of the soldiers said taking a step inside. The room was filled with fog and only a tiny metal contraption that seemed to be leaking what looked like coagulated blood on the floor. "I want samples of what's coming out of there. Let me know if it could be dang-errragggghhh!" The surrounding fog condensed and surrounded the Hazmat officer. Blood curdling screams filled the container as Rin pushed her smoke right through the mans gas mask, Filling his lungs and soon posessing his body.
Rin felt euphoric, the rush of taking ones body and destroying ones mind. His memories were hers now, and she wasn't finished yet. The posessed officer pulled out his sidearm and shot himself in the head. Blood sprayed everwhere as the dead man still stood there gun drawn. Firing randomly at the others. Roman fired back, as did his team. Watching the man get pumped full of lead as he ran and grabbed hold of another. Rin ripped off the soldiers mask and escaped the dead body and retreated into a nice "fresh" one. Soon repeating the process as the soldier screamed in pain. Aiming his AK at his fellow comrades in arms. Killing two on the spot. Roman took cover as the others panicked. Keeping a bead on the smoke trail and making sure to keep as far away as possible from it. Rin repeated her process, jumping from a soldier to another hazmat. Ripping off their mask and posessing them. Then taking his flashlight and smashing his own face in until it was unrecognizable.
After only a few seconds of chaos, all that was left of the eight Spetsnaz soldiers and four hazmat officers was Rin and Roman. Unlike all the others, Roman managed to destroy the temporary host enough that she had no choice but to leave the vessel. Taking form of a human woman and slowly walking towards the terrified soldier. "I hope you don't think to harshly of me Lieutenant Petrovik." Rin read off of Romans nametag, recalling the temporary memories of his now deceased superiors. "I only took there lives to survive, I've been stuck in that box for a very long time." Roman raised his AK and fired his entire magazine into her chest.... nothing. The smoke blew away but came back shortly after. "All I need is one more to escape this place, just please help me?" Rin-aziel cried. She wanted to leave so badly. The people who kept her here did horrible experiments to her, unable to remember what she originally was before all this. She just needed a vessel to get her out. "Take my hand and you will understand." She said stretching out her arm. Roman was hesitant, his entire team just died from this thing, could she really be trusted? "Absolutely not!" Roman shouted. Rin's face grew upset as she put her hand down. "You damn humans are so stubborn!" She said before lunging right at him. Turning to smoke and surrounding Roman. There was no hope, he couldn't do anything. Roman screamed in fear as everything went black. Rin's memories flooded his own. Showing the tortures she endured and the madness she created. These images would turn others insane... manic and brain damaged but Roman grew calm, He seemed to process these images and understand them. He felt sympathy for Rin and felt nothing but remorse for the smoke filled images. After the images faded, everything went black.

That is a pretty sweet character. I want to have it work in the Blood Compact world, so I'm going to give my suggestions on how such a character could come to be.
So, in Blood Compact, there are no demons nor angels, nor loose spirits, as far as anybody knows. Nobody knows the true origin story of werewolves and vampires or if there's really a God or what. But there is psychic shit and mind-control and individual consciousness, call it a "soul" if you will. So...
What if we say that Rin is, or was, a vampire, and she had the unique ability to "possess" others? I would explain her "possession" as a kind of psychic attack, or mind-control, except that she actually transfers her own consciousness into her target. Perhaps Rin abandoned her own original vampire body long ago as she lept from victim to victim, until one day, she entered Rome. Now for some reason, she wasn't able to kill Rome, but she did find a host that could sustain her. Maybe Rome was already a strong vampire thrall, or her thrall, or a thrall of one of her descendants, or maybe Rome simply had the right genetics. It doesn't really matter. The two stuck together after that.
Rome has abilities that would make him a good fighter for Soldier, such as Rin's ability to sense other vampires and possibly psychically attack them. However, Rin's need to possess and actually kill humans to survive is a big problem. I think it would make for some good drama for your character. Soldier is not going to want to employ an agent they have to feed with lives. They might just target Rome for execution due to his lamentable feeding habits. It's up to you how you want to play that out.
The Gabriellan vampires tend to have psyonics, so perhaps Rin was an old member of their bloodline.

Lol you guys....
When i first built this character, she was actually a phsycic vampire permanently stuck in mist form (classic vampire power) that was until she honed her phsycic ability to "posess" others minds and regain her body back momentarily... That was the ORIGINAL character for a Vampire bloodlines game waaaay back in 94' :)
Taking note of your wishes what if we meet somewhere in the middle of the road? Lets say she is a Vampire but an old one with extraordinarily power phsycic abilities that got captured and experimented on until she could no longer sustain a physical body due to lack of blood sustinence during capture. That in turn almost killed her without help from experiments done to her via the human side.
About the killing to survive part... I dont believe i stated she needed to kill to survive, matter of fact her hosting with Roman keeps her well and dandy, its the natural instinct and euphoric feeling of her sucking the life essence from another that she craves. She doesnt NEED to do it but she really WANTS to. (Exe you dont need to have that piece of chocolate cake but you really want too lol) The host only dies because she kills them out of pity, she shares her mind with them and naturally they cannot handle the pressure making them go insane. (Hence her immense phsycic power)
In short... What if i just say shes just a Phsycic vampire without a physical body stuck in a mist-like form? Also, although she remembers many things from her life as well as her fallen prey, she has major problems deciphering what she used to be thanks to the jumblefluck of memories in her mind with no "physical" mind to process them... Except for Romans of course :)
When i first built this character, she was actually a phsycic vampire permanently stuck in mist form (classic vampire power) that was until she honed her phsycic ability to "posess" others minds and regain her body back momentarily... That was the ORIGINAL character for a Vampire bloodlines game waaaay back in 94' :)
Taking note of your wishes what if we meet somewhere in the middle of the road? Lets say she is a Vampire but an old one with extraordinarily power phsycic abilities that got captured and experimented on until she could no longer sustain a physical body due to lack of blood sustinence during capture. That in turn almost killed her without help from experiments done to her via the human side.
About the killing to survive part... I dont believe i stated she needed to kill to survive, matter of fact her hosting with Roman keeps her well and dandy, its the natural instinct and euphoric feeling of her sucking the life essence from another that she craves. She doesnt NEED to do it but she really WANTS to. (Exe you dont need to have that piece of chocolate cake but you really want too lol) The host only dies because she kills them out of pity, she shares her mind with them and naturally they cannot handle the pressure making them go insane. (Hence her immense phsycic power)
In short... What if i just say shes just a Phsycic vampire without a physical body stuck in a mist-like form? Also, although she remembers many things from her life as well as her fallen prey, she has major problems deciphering what she used to be thanks to the jumblefluck of memories in her mind with no "physical" mind to process them... Except for Romans of course :)

I dunno, Katya kind of had a thing (I think, you know not too sure thinking back on it) with another agent within SOLDIER through out all of the blood compact series. might change though.

Backstory is in first person, very sorry if this annoys anyone but it was a lot easier to make a better backstory

Backstory: I used to fight in the USMC. go fight in new and exotic countries the recruitment posters said... looking back at it now, there was nothing new or exotic about it. it was always the same Brown sand and dirt under the same blue sky. The different theatres we served in all seemed to blend together and the orders, the orders were a joke now I look back. You see it was always the same orders. Go here and clear out these insurgents. insurgents. it always made those people sound worse. Propaganda made the lot of them seem like they were terrifying and were well equipped. But when we got there, it was a different story. At first they used primitive weapons. they might as well have thrown rocks at us for all it did. it was only after others started supplying weapons to them that we actually had to fight these people. I remember the day I lost all respect for those people I used to call friends. when my best friend dove on a grenade to save our unit, they stood there and called her stupid. Stupid to have sacrificed her own life for the sake of the unit. Stupid to have saved two young village boys. Stupid to have been proud to die so that WE could be safe. That day I lost all respect. I lost all morals. The only thing I cared about was ending my tour and drinking my sorrows away. Luckily, well I guess you could call it luck, our CO General Lyons took a sniper round too the back of the neck, severing the spines connection to the brain. I may sound sadistic and twisted for saying this, but I'm glad the first bullet killed him instantly. No pain. No suffering. Just blackness as the life faded from his eyes. I've seen people. People I cared about drown, choke on there own blood. So to see him go so quickly, was a blessing in my opinion. Our entire unit was immediately taken from active duty. I handed in my resignation, two days after my best friends funeral. I couldn't watch youngsters get them self killed due to the actions of our superiors. You know the British had a saying during the Great War. Dulce et Decorum Est Pro patria mori. It roughly translates to It is sweet and glorious to die for your country. Its a load of Bullshit and ill give you that opinion for free. Mercenary work is where my work flourished, and I met the two most important girls in my life. Katya Moreno and Sonja Night, id trade my life to save either of theirs in a heart beat.
