Brushing the dirt off his butt, Vale turned to the curly haired man with an embarrassed smile. "No problemo!" Vale laughed as he watched the dog that licked him rush off at Yoska's command. Sliding his hand into his long sleeve slightly, Vale wiped his cheek of any slobber the dog had left behind. Hearing a disgruntled (as he thought)Huo, Vale quickly turned to face her while raising a hand for a wave. "Yo' Huo!" he spoke cheerfully. A small amount of anxiety was growing in his stomach as he realized just how eventful his 'uneventful planned store run', was becoming.

'Maybe a quick chat with a familiar face will calm me down.' Vale thought as he approached, who he thought was Huo. "Neat... uhm, Weather we have today, right?" Vale spoke awkwardly as he usually did when he had nothing to talk about. Placing a finger on the bridge of his glasses, Vale pushed them up closer to his eyes to better see his surroundings. As he did this, he noticed that something looked slightly off about Huo, maybe it was the expression on her face or maybe it was her stance, Vale couldn't quite put his finger on it.
Marching down the stairwell Vale passes Anthony and a fashionably dressed Daniel, with a quick smile and wave Vale rushes past them, not wanting to interrupt. Hearing the faint sound of a female's voice cursing, Vale turned the corner to spot the beautiful Tanner as she made her way towards the pool out the back. 'Phew' echoed through his mind when he realized he didn't catch her attention, it wasn't from a general dislike of Tanner or anything, Vale just wasn't the best at dealing with people he didn't know too well, sometimes his anxiety would get the best of him and he'd purposely cut the conversation short, a gesture Vale was sure seemed rude to others. After quickly checking the mail and yielding nothing, he continued down the few steps that lead to the courtyard.

Childishly Vale hops from one stone to another as he follows the path towards the open gate before him, all the while his back slouched forward as he watches his steps closely. The sudden echo of his name causes the 22 year old to quickly straighten his back as he turns to find the source of the enthusiastic greeting. Growing a smile on his face, Vale spots Lilly by the third floor railing looking down at him. "Heyo' Lil' Lilly!" he called out with mischief in his tone. Though this time her elevation defeated the purpose of the joke and it took a moment for Vale to realize that.

With coffee still on his mind, Vale instinctively took a step backwards, ready to continue his quick journey to the local convenient store. However, fate had other plans as a black furry figure elegantly and skilfully weaved it's way around Vale's legs as he took his step, tripping the 6-foot-2 man. With a hard 'thump' he landed on his arse, swiftly the black fur ball instantly capitalized on Vale's new, seated position by head bumping his wrist for a pat. But before he could even register what had happened, one of the dogs pouring into the courtyard rushed over to give Vale a slobbery greeting on his cheek. Patting both the animals as he stood up, Vale couldn't help but find the event amusing, the pets he was used to greeting(although not recently), where owned by drug dealers and human interaction was often a violent affair for them. It was nice to experience the kinder side of animals, despite how embarrassed he felt from the whole ordeal.
Pushing at his desk, Vale's old computer chair rolled back noisily and with a little resistance, he swung around in a full circle enjoying the momentum of the swing before bringing his feet down stopping him in direction of the kitchen. "Oh coffee, my love... I hear your sweet whisper!" He spoke to himself theatrically as he took to his feet. Marching towards the kitchen Vale stopped to twist and crack his back, after a series of satisfying 'pops' echoed in the mostly empty space around him, he continued on his way to the kitchen. Releasing a heavy groan Vale adjusted his glasses to ensure he was not, in fact, seeing things. On his kitchen counter lay an empty container of instant coffee, "I guess it can't be helped." A small shot of anxiety filled Vale's stomach as he planned his march to the local convenient store in his head. 'But first things first, medication time!' Vale reminded himself as he grabbed a box labelled Pristiq Desvenlafaxine, popping three square orange pills out of the foil then gulping them down with a glass of water. Not forgetting to get some food in his stomach with his medication Vale shoved a piece of bread into his mouth and started chewing.

Honestly, the medication wouldn't do much to rid him of the small amount of anxiety in his stomach, it'd only prevent it from getting worse, but the placebo of the process helped to ease his mind. Closing his door behind him, Vale paid no mind to locking it and eagerly began his journey to the store, but only after stopping to lean over the railing slightly and get a good view of the courtyard bellow. The sent of near by coffee filled Vale's nostrils, 'I'm already suffering withdrawals!'

I'll tackle my intro post tomorrow! Lack of sleep has put my writing standard at an all time low.

Torn Envelopes; Runic Letters

Synopsis: You are one of the infamous 'Torn Envelopes' of the Runic Letters delivery service guild. In a world rife with war, where toxic war machines obliterate entire cities and mutate the land, you are one of the brave few who still navigate this land to pick-up and deliver letters and parcels for the denizens of the remaining holds. Tasked with delivering important intelligence to various parties of the on going war campaigns from time to time, the guild has even drawn the ire of certain military figures.

With twisted creatures nesting in your path, covert military agents trying to steal letters in the hopes for important information and dark magics corrupting the land, only the strong excel in the world of mail delivery. Do you have what it takes to survive in this world? More importantly, do you have what it takes to deliver the mail?

Tera

Dubbed 'Tera' by her peoples, this land was once a peaceful bastion of wealth and growth, however, religious tensions, diplomatic grudges and powerful artefacts served as the fuse to a series of horrific events that started Tera's first world war and removed entire civilizations from the face of Tera, leaving in it's place scarred land twisted and warped by foul magics and cruel science, this terrible period of history will eventually come to be known as the 'Tera-Bane War', however, our gaze is locked on a much smaller series of events, events that appear as a mere drop in the ocean compared to the heroic and cruel campaigns that rage across the land and yet, the impact and significance of these events will drive the strumming of lutes and songs of bards for centuries to come. The events I speak of are those of the Torn Envelopes, a diverse bunch of powerful denizens of Tera who've abandoned the notation of belonging to any one nation or race, in the hopes to serve Tera equally and without prejudice. Forming the Runic Letters Guild, they kept the hopes and hearts of citizens high all while stirring ambition in the youth of this world by navigating all the lands and remaining loyal to their promise to deliver the mail.

Runic Letters

Welcome to Runic Letters, your bread and butter in Tera's current chaotic state. After the series of events that killed millions and destroyed the nations of Ru'uk, Val and Terinthia, the Runic Letters guild served as an extremely important means of establishing contact between warring nations to form an agreement that would ensure that such devastating weapons would not be used again without swift and dire circumstances. It was also at this time that the Runic Letters guild started to make a name for itself on a global scale, this drew in members from all over Tera big and small, weak and strong and the guild master found a place for them all, establishing safe local mail routes within cities and towns all over the world. However, Runic Letters most recent fame has come from the elite members tasked with international and long distance deliveries and pick-ups, these members are known only as 'Torn Envelopes', a title given to them to signify both the importance of their job as letter carriers and the danger that their job entails.

As a Torn Envelope(colloquially referred to as T.E.) whether or not you can handle yourself in a battle isn't even a question that warrants an answer. The legend of a T.E.'s strength, although quite embellished, is what has primarily drawn such fame the Runic Letters. But they are by no means the worlds strongest, and there is a lot of room to grow. Recently three T.E. each on separate missions, were found dead and their belongings stolen, because of this the guild master as started to group members up for their missions while encouraging an emphasis on teamwork. This new work ethic hasn't garnered much favour but it's a rule that the guild master refuses to budge on.

Just finished off the relationship chart, also added a sentence to the 'Other' section about Vale's vision and need for glasses.
Luckily I haven't experienced this on this site yet, but; It pisses me off when a person derails an RP to chase after pity from others, or starts to incorporate their bad mood into their IC posts. The last RP I ever GM'd before using RPG again, I had the ball running and the OOC lit up with friendly discussion, but one guy was having some emotional issues and we all offered our support, went as far as to start PM'ing him, but he ignored them and told us in the OOC that it was a better place to vent for some reason. Anyway, eventually it became a daily affair to vent at us in OOC and around the same time his posts IC started to take a similar perspective. Suddenly his character become this lone-wolf type who was always unreasonably sad.

I have no personal gripes with the guy and I hope the best for him, but his conduct was quite childish. Especially considering I(and others, I'm sure) offered support away from the RP if all he wanted to do was vent. I honestly do not see the use in forming an association with your problems to a fun hobby such as RP by digging up issues during the time you've set aside for posting in the place that you post.
I remember reading a series of posts one time a few years back that involved sticky mines attached to a large buster blade, going through a hulk-like troll with super fast regeneration. That was pretty awesome to read.
Partly filled out my relationship chart and added it to the CS!
