@Liotrent
Seen you soon.

@Nytefall
Tell me if I have this right about your species (please call them a species unless you are referring to a race of Baridi);

Do they have a psychology that is more prone to ritualistic, stereotyped behavior and strongly centered the tribal unit which is stronger than the exogamy filled human tribes. The Baridi being a species where the lines between culture, technology and instinct are more blurred?

Since that actually is a pretty cool concept, a species that organizes in geothermal powered city states with modern tech linked around the cold regions of Ezekiel.

It'll be interesting to see how you expand upon them.
@Liotrent
You are. Feel free to PM me a introductory IC post to get the accept or make the focus civ, either path is fine with me.

I will note that I am waiting to see if we can get at least one human player, one custodian player and one alien player before starting up the IC.

(We already will be 2/3rds the way there when Oraculum makes his app. Hopefully someone out there who has been observing this thread is interested in being a human civ.)
It's decent and allows other players to give them all matter of colorful names.
That sounds intriguing. I hope to see more of your super-entity in the near future.
@Liotrent
Civ app would be the app you want your focus Civ to be.

I recommend using the word species instead of race.

Chances are the Baridi have multiple races from the deviations the more heavily ingrained tribalism mixed with their tendency to colonize separate mountains which tends to lead to divides.

And they may not all have the same cultural norms, something to consider as you say "all Baridi", which bothers me since it implies they are monolithic and a monolithic species is no good.

Hmm. So they're basically more clever with a synthetic material. If other players want to be a Baridi (which they can due to the species being public domain policy) or something so akin to a baridi in niche that you could share a family with them, would you tolerate potential tech pooling? I ask this since one mechanic I have in mind is that when players share a species/genus of species that are closely related they tend to share technologies as well.

@Oraculum

Any thoughts on the current edition of Custodian guidelines?
Humanoid in shape and size? I'd like more elaboration on their design.

If you need help upping their alienness, one way is to give them a distinct psychological trait from humans along with some distinct means of reproduction (mother nature on earth has quite the play book for this). Think of them as animals in a habitat and how their social behavior is at their most primitive. Than you arm them with larger populations, civilization and carbyne infused bones.

Due to sharing a world, expect some carbyne to end up in use by Liotrent's bugs at times.

Chances are they'll have more than one culture, so defining their behavioral differences on culture alone isn't enough.

Though I will say I like the idea of some species that organizes in insular city-states with geothermal tech. Do they also have tribal groups outside the city-states?

Either way I like the direction you are going with this so far.
@Liotrent
Not really, they're pretty solid.

Also I wrote out the perspective system that this NRP goes by. I mentioned it earlier but never codified it.

I see that they got their "telepathy" by developing radio mind control. Is this a trait exclusive to the more advanced colonies only?

And I like that you gave them a divisive nature instead of mindless hive unity.

Here is the guidelines for aliens for the second edition IC:
