It's vague but it's a kind of cool concept. If I may do science and no one will get butthurt, I would be more than obliged to take part.
"Open your eyes, little fox." A grim voice spoke. Even though Nicoleta did so, it seemed no light came. Everything was just so dark and cold, like a freezing desert night. A bright flash split across her view suddenly, causing her to squint and try to look away.

"Who's there?" She called out to the light. Her arm reached out towards it and she suddenly found her hand around Gale's handle, the blade stuck into the ground in front of her. She was on the ground as well, on her hands and knees. Is this a dream? she asked herself, gazing upwards. She got sight of the blood view that was all too well ingrained into her mind. Friends she knew, the residents from around her city, all laying dead as they were strewn all about. She tried to stand up, however became aware that she herself was in no good condition and felt her stomach fold over on itself.

She coughed up a glob of blood, losing the strength to stay on her hands and knees. "Why?" She asked the world around her, the dream state. "Why now?" Her eyes drifted upwards again and she was now staring at herself, the bloodied Faunus scared and battered, leaning up against a tree. The familiar figure of Master Preiss came into view around the tree, speaking with her. And yet, something felt off. It was as if her mind was trying to tell her something. She shook it off, standing up through the pain. She began to approach herself and her mentor. As she approached them, their heads slowly turned to her, almost in a possessed way. Blood began to leak from their eyes as they began to repeat the same sentence, only one meaning. "They Will Die."

The world erupted into fire as she came to the conclusion. "You're just a dream." She felt the tingling and feeling began to return to her. Her eyes slowly creaked open, staring into the broken rafters above her. Her aura flickered and spit, coming back into existence as a blaze and she began to sit up with a sigh. They were gathered in a small shack now, walls partially mostly in piece, however allowing a small draft through every once in a while.
She sighed, sitting on a log. What an oaf. How could you be so careless for your allies, and so hard headed, like not an idea but his could be right. The nerve. She rampaged on in her head, but her steady appearance didn't give that away. She calmly sat with her legs crossed and hands folded in front of her. She closed her eyes, resting for a few moments. Those moments were all she got before she heard yelling again. She rocketed off the log, taking out her machetes and forming them into a bow. Using a crook on it, she ran forward, raising it up and catching it on a tree. She was yanked hard, going a full 180 before dropping her foot. It sliced off the tip of the branch she was on using the bladed part of the bow, and she jumped to the next branch.

She didn't completely make it, landing, if you could even call it that. Her chest his the branch rather than her feet, and she reached out, holding onto the branch as she gasped, huffing from the exertion. "A tree's beating me." She said sourly. She didn't remember feeling this weak. My allies are counting on me. There is no easy way out. Get up. She told herself, pulling up onto the branch. Her ears twitched, and she flexed her fingers. She pushed the slight bit of hair that had gotten into her eyes during that short jump out of her face and took a deep breath. Go.

She leapt from the tree branch, successfully making it to a further branch, then another. She stopped, looking down at Aurellius, and realized he was all alone. Surely Aslin and Esprum couldn't have taken that long. . . Her senses reached out as she closed her eyes. The first thing that filled her supernatural hearing was the sound of Esprum's heavy breathing from not too far away. She heard a small cracking noise, and frowned. Whatever it was, it couldn't be good. She leapt back, stabbing her bow into the tree and using it to slow her decent. She crouched for a moment on the ground, before sprinting at full speed towards Esprum. "Esprum!" She yelled, arriving just in time to see him hit the ground. The two looked towards Nicoleta with smug grins.

"Another one." One said, raising the massive two handed sword he held a bit higher. The other, with a long sword and shield, nodded to the side, and the two began to spread out to her sides.

Her bow split into the two machetes and she grimaced, her entire being seeming filled with hate. She held her machetes close to her chest, blades pointing towards the ground. A short few seconds passed like minutes as they stared each other down. Within the blink of an eye, however, the two ran for Nicoleta, hoping to pin her between the two. She leapt forward, narrowly dodging the longsword. She turned, her machetes snapping together again. She took an arrow from her bag, drawing it quickly, and firing it as the Two Handed swordsman recovered. He fell, a bright light flashing from it. The man with the shield seemed unphased, bashing his shield at Nicoleta, who used her bow to try to parry the bash, however finding her arm tingling as she was thrown backwards. This man was strong, and his shield was like lead. This gave her an idea, however. She stood up straight, pulling apart the machetes.

The swordsman grimaced. "You've made a mistake now, faunus. You'll not live long to regret killing my mate back there." He said, the accent far more clear in this man than the other.

"Then defend, defend for your life." She said harshly, her orange aura flickering into life, weak but still persevering. Both the two rushed towards each other, like a game of chicken. Neither seemed to give in ground, and the swordsman grinned. He would hit her like a truck, he was sure. Just as it seemed they would collide, she jumped, her foot stepping on the top of the shield and forcing it down. The surprised swordsmen swung his sword at the target, however he was too close, and her machete was already in place, parrying it. The mirror machete stopped at the bone in the back of the man's neck with a horrowing clunk, and the man fell backwards, blood spurting onto Nicoleta's clothing.

She ripped the machete out, her left arm falling limp from the use of the bow in the parry. She only made it halfway to Esprum before falling to her knees and eventually the ground. Blood from the man soaked into the dirt slowly, bringing about a greater form of life in plants. That was the only good thing about death. The start of new life. She pondered that, hand sprawled in Esprum's direction, however unable to make the distance fade. Maybe one day, I too can bring a beautiful tree to life.
She frowned, crossing her arms as she watched Esprum and Aurellius finish their word fight. "For the good of our sanity, I sure as hell hope we find this relic soon." She muttered, shaking her head. She wasn't walking nearly as easily and some of the color appeared drained from her face. It was all she could do however, having been sapped by Aslin. She tried to take it easier, walking at a very relaxed pace.

She turned her head then, looking back at Esprum. It couldn't have been easy on him, being such a timid man, to have stood up to Aurellius like that. That was something worthy of pride in her book, anyways. She fell back Esprum, laying a hand on his shoulder as she said in a soft tone "That took some guts."

In response, the bookworm would only glance towards the hand for half a second, before glaring straight ahead through his glasses.

"You know, you don't have to be worried about what everyone else thinks of what you say. You'd be a far better team mate if you'd come out of that thick shell of yours more." She grinned, the canine in her teeth showing as longer than most normal humans. "You have what it takes to be a leader, but you need to be able to jump a bit more."

He was as silent as ever, though the shift of emotion clearly showed his frowned as he walked forward. It would have taken a few moments, but he finally replied. "I'll work on it."

"I guess that's all I can really ask for... I've got your back, Esprum, you just need to ask and I'll be there." She began to speed up, heading back towards Aslin incase she needed any help as their convoy continued through the dense forest. They followed along a rough dirt path, rocks and bumps making their footsteps seem jagged and irregular. The members of the 4 person party bobbed up and down, again and again. No one seemed in the highest of spirits, and it was barely into the mission. They came upon a small clearing in the forest, which Nicoleta paused at.

"We should rest here." She said, crossing her arms. "We're in no shape to fight anything further. Our team wants to kill each other and we're already half dead. If we went in there like this, those Vacuans would be able to defeat us without much problem. I'm not saying we should set up a camp here, but we need a little while to cool off."

Are we suppose to keep the OOC alive.

Yeah, totes.
Nicoleta had her fight cut out for her. The far smaller beowolves were simple enough to kill, a hit to the neck or head, and it was out for good. The problem was their numbers and their sheer speed, and that she was on the defense, whereas she prefered the offense. Her machetes snapped together into the bow, as she watched a group of beowolves began their charge towards her, sprinting on hands and knees in a full on charge. She drew back an arrow, waiting. The beowolves were forming a more concise group to try to all hit Nicoleta at the same time. Just as she'd planned. A thin smile grew across her face, as the beowolves drew within feet. The closest one to her reached out its arm, about to grab her. Suddenly, the arrow released, giving a satisfying "THUNK!" as it embedded itself in the lead beowolf's face. Electricity jumped from the arrow, shocking the beowolves into pausing.

It was more than enough time, her bow split into the two machetes, and she jumped through the group in a flurry of swinging, this way and that, her aura glowing. She made circles, taking on neck after head after shoulder of the beowolves in lightning speed. All the while, you could hear a pin drop, it was so silent. The last three came to their senses before she made it far enough back, and she ducked under one of their paws, jumping back. "You'll need to be faster than that."

The beasts spread out, trying to close in on her from all around. She took a few steps backwards, frowning in concentration. "Faster." She told herself, bolting to her right. The creature in the middle swung at her as she passed, and she raised the machete to it, blocking the paw. She jumped then kicking away the right beowolf's foot in a backwards flip and stabbing it in the chest. She was knocked forwards as the beowolf from the left slapped her down to the ground. She barred her teeth, aura no longer such a bright and rich color of orange. Though it used to shine like the sun, it looked more like a small glow, as if an ember.

She spun around, launching one of the machetes at the beowolf from the left, the creature blocked it with its hand, reeling back in pain. Nicoleta jumped over the paw of the middle beowolf, using it as a launch pad to jump at the one from the left, slicing across its unprotected neck. She pulled out her machete from its arm only in time to parry a flurry of swipes, being pushed back a few feet. She quickly spread the blades to the side, pushing out the creature's arms so she could stab it in the neck. It stopped breathing, dead weight on her blade now. She panted, ripping the blade from its neck. She slowly taking up a more proper stance as another 3 ran from the treeline. She reformed the bow, shooting down the first with a clean shot from a red arrow, the fire missiles released from the sides of it. They seeked out the other two beowolves, striking them down as well in a display of bright lights piercing chests. "I can't keep this up much longer."

Ironically, that was when the spire grew out of the ground, covering the massive beowolf. "Convenient. . ." She commented, sighing. The smaller beowolves, without their vanguard, began to break up, retreating back into the abysmal forest, now full of holes and destruction from the short fight. The damage was only in the nearby area, luckily, not straying too far from the already broken terrain from the fallen airship.

Nicoleta noticed Aslin leaned up against the airship, looking dazed, and so she approached her, somewhat haphazardly. Her usually ambitiously powerful self was a bit less enthusiastic now, as she slid to a stop infront of her. She looked around at Aslin's head, asking a few questions. "Hey, are you feeling alright? Can you tell me what day it is?" She asked, hoping Aslin had no head trauma.
-Void-
As she finished talking with Aslin, she sighed, crossing her arms and beginning to walk towards the treeline once more. She stopped suddenly, however, her ears twitching as they caught the sound of something. Something she could never forget the sound of. The grimm. She turned her head in the direction of Esprum just as he was dragged further into the depths of the wood by the hulking creatures. "Damnit, hold on. . ." She said in a mutter, dragging Gale from her belt, the blade splitting into two pieces which she took in each hand. Her movement changed into a sprint for the zone she'd seen Esprum.

As she reached the first trees, she stabbed into the tree as leverage to get up to a higher branch, swinging off that branch like a monkey. When she went through the air, she flipped once, grabbing hold of the next branch, which cracked and broke under strain from her presence, and instead she landed on a sturdier branch, jumping from that one to the next around the tree. That's when she saw Esprum's fight coming to a close, or so she thought. As the creature began to fidget she paused, watching the spasms it made. The two pieces of Gale locked together as she swung them together, and she took a long red and black arrow from her pack. The bowstring expanded from the handle, and she laid the arrow on it without taking her eyes off the target. Her aura flashed for a moment, the bowstring taking on the considerably large amount of force put on it suddenly.

With a hissing noise, the arrow suddenly released at the massive creature. A click followed as suddenly the dust activated, and it looked like wisp-like missiles suddenly shot out the sides, raining down hell fire upon the massive creature, its body being pierced and set ablaze as if knives had come out of the arrow instead. She jumped then, the two pieces of Gale twisting around by the hilts so that they formed one blade again, and she began to fall upon the creature, sending her blade deep within its head, the grumbling grimm roaring in bloody murder. It began to stand however, whipping its head to the point Gale fell out and Nicoleta with it. She rolled to a stop low to the ground, but on one knee. She rose again, spinning the blade around her hand and splitting it back into two. As they split, her aura flashed again, and an ear-splitting clanging noise ripped into the forest, though mostly at the grimm, which recoiled as if it was hit with a blunt object.

As it fell back, she rushed towards Esprum, putting a hand out to him. "Any ideas, brainiac?"

He grunted, pulling himself up. "..." He was silent, that gleam returning to his glasses. "With enough time, I can turn that thing into a bomb. Without all the explosions."

"Then we'll have to give you that time." She concluded, hoping the others were close enough to hear.
The fighting that took place in the the field were little more than distractions to her objective. She took a leap towards the airship, surprised as the fires suddenly went out. Her head turned to Esprum, to whom she nodded in thanks before climbing into the wreckage with a quick swinging into the large door. "Anyone still alive in here?" She called, kicking through the battered door to the cockpit with a vicious spin. As she found her way in, there was little left to do, however. She had found little more than the dead, already cleared out by the death squad. She frowned, kneeling over the victims of the war that sat before her. "We'll find the Harbinger, soldier. You did your part." She lifted up her hand to the soldier still in the pilot's seat, a bullet through his skull, and closed his eyes for him.

With a turn, she exited the cockpit, shaking her head. Her footsteps rattled on the metal grated floor which creaked with the sounds that the ship might break at any time. The metallic sounds shifted to the crinkling grass instead as she stepped back outside of the airship, the death squad already gone for the most part. "We don't have the time to play with these idiots anymore. Our ride is gone, so I'd hope we have some form of radio contact so we can get out of here when we find the relic." Her voice reflected the anger she felt, and yet the words she spoke held no prejudice due to that anger.

"I didn't doubt they'd send some of the best on this wild goose hunt, but it looks like it's more a war zone than I was anticipating. I could easily put a bet that there's other squads exactly like our own already in this forest. Our job isn't to hunt them down, though if they've been here for a little while, we might be able to learn more about where the relic is from them." She gazed around at the other three. "Team VANE doesn't have anyone watching anymore, so losing isn't an option, no one's coming for us. We need to adapt to the situation now or die trying."
Nicoleta sighed. "Perhaps you're right, rainbows and unicorns might make a better change of events for once." Her ears twitched for a moment, and she turned an eye upwards, frowning as Aslin was caught in an explosion. "One hard ass woman to make it out of that explosion. . ." She commented, before dragging Gale out of the tree with a jerk. She jumped down from the tree, another explosion causing her ears to shudder once more, and causing her head to turn. She watched the dying ship fall slowly from the sky and Esprum fall to the ground.

"I'm going after the survivors, I won't leave them behind just because we're on a mission. . ." She said softly, starting off at a run after the dying ship. She was going through the fastest path she could, ducking between bushes and tree branches before a large black paw swung its way into the path, slapping her onto her back, a creature of grimm, a massive gorilla-like creature, came out into view fully. She put out her hands and curled herself pack, doing a somersault on the ground once before her foot began to drag into the earth and she came to a stop, dragging Gale from her belt.

The beast roared mightily, spit flying in a display that would set most in disease, however to those trained to kill the beast, it was little more than a roadblock. Her figure became enveloped in orange light as she scraped her weapon together, a high pitched scratching noise amplifying to ear-bleeding proportions in the grimm's direction errupted, causing the beast to fall to its knees. Nicoleta rushed forward throwing a half of gale into the back of the creature's head with a crackling noise as it pierced the creature's skull. As she passed it, she kicked it up, catching it and combining the two sides of Gale into a single blade, storing it in her belt once more. Done with the minor Grimm, she jumped off its stomach, continuing her mad rush forward even as the airship hit the ground, blowing away trees.

Though most would be content with staying at ground speed, she realized quickly that she could move faster from the treeline and she grabbed hold of a branch, climbing up and leaping to consecutively higher branches, reaching moderately well height branches before long. She used the height to move faster, reaching the downed airship within the minute, where she paused from the treeline, catching the sight of a party of Vacuans who marched around with their guns. It appeared the crew had already been finished by this death squad, and that alone was enough to make Nicoleta's blood boil.
