But that time has long passed,and the ruthless Sorcerer Xantam rules over Abaroth with an iron fist,dubbing it as his Empire.The people suffer persecution,harsh taxation,and misery every day of their lives.For decades now since Xantams rise the people have prayed in secrecy for a savior,yet their prayers have gone unanswered and their hope continues to sink into the depths.However there are those who would stand against the Empire and Xantam,and they together are forming an underground resistance.All it needs is a spark.

PLOT/SETTING
This RP is set in the mythical world of Abaroth,up until twenty years before now the land was made up of independent city-states which were ruled over by Dukes and Barons.However,one day a wicked and cruel Sorcerer named Xantam raised an army made up of mercenaries,brigands,and exiles.
He went on a rampage across the land,slaying the protectorate armies,murdering the dukes and barons and seizing the cities for himself.
Even with the help of the Rangers nothing could be done to stop the evil sorcerer and his dark army,seeking salvation more and more joined his armies to escape the wrath of his forces and magic.Soon with a year and a half the last resistance was destroyed,the final city subdued and the last of the Rangers were either slain or fled into hiding.
Xantam claimed the largest city in Abaroth,Tarvis,to be his capital and built a monumentous fortress within the city.
Over the years his armies swelled and what little resistance that remained were either quelled or died out themselves.
Now,twenty years later he rules over Abaroth and his forces are stronger than ever.
He has built forts and outposts all across the land to and established garrisons in every city to keep the populace under control,he also has spy's and agents spread throughout the peoples to keep their eyes and ears open for any possible dissent.
However,despite their efforts,a secret resistance group called the "Harpers" is under development,gaining more and more support each day.
What will you do?That is the question.
Will you aid in overthrow the evil Emperor,or join his ranks and continue this age of oppression?Or will you be not but a nomad,a wanderer journeying the land.Its up to you.

They acted as spy's,bounty hunters,and law enforcement.
The city states called upon them to handle things such as brigand bands,cults,sorcerers,witches,and such.
They were highly trained in all forms of melee combat as well as archery and horseback.
A Ranger would be an apprentice until the age of twenty,and,after a series of trials and tests,would become a Ranger.
Ranger apprentices were taken between the ages of four and six,most were orphans or children who's families could not care for them.
They were well known and recognized by their ash-black cloaks and hoods they wore.
They were called upon by the city states to fight Xantam's armies but were no match for his massive force nor his mastery of magic.

They commonly wield weapons such as axes,war hammers,and spears,some are skilled with swords and hand axes as well.Werg archers are very rare.They are extremely frightened of horses.They reside in hidden villages and camps high in the northern mountains and highlands.
They commonly raid villages and hamlets for supplies,food,and human prisoners to use as slave labor.
They are viscous,cruel,and are keen on ambushes and night attacks.

THE WERG
The Werg are a species of massive wolf-men.They usually stand between 6'0 and 6'5,their covered in light brown fur,and have wolf like muzzles,feet,and tails and ape like hands.They speak in a language of snarls,grunts,and gibberish-like words and mumbling.They wear only loincloths and leggings as well as leather armor consisting of arm and leg padding and breast padding.
They commonly wield weapons such as axes,war hammers,and spears,some are skilled with swords and hand axes as well.Werg archers are very rare.They are extremely frightened of horses.They reside in hidden villages and camps high in the northern mountains and highlands.
They commonly raid villages and hamlets for supplies,food,and human prisoners to use as slave labor.
They are viscous,cruel,and are keen on ambushes and night attacks.

Emperor Xantam-Emperor of Abaroth by self-proclamation and bloodshed.Origins of this dark and foul sorcerer are unknown.He is extremely powerful,notoriously cruel,and unmatched in magic.

Holix-Xantam's apprentice,though not nearly as powerful as Xantam he is very skilled in magic and extremely cruel,however he is physically weak and up close and personal would be no match in a duel.Acts as a spokesperson for Xantam,and in fact was the one charged with and responsible for the destruction of the Rangers.

The Black Cavalier-Origins unknown.Holix's most trusted General and field operative,excellent swordsman and merciless on the battlefield.Known to use trickery and cowardly tactics.
