@Blight Bug Sounds about right to me

@Zero Hex We probably need to take care of those civilians first. After that, we get a reason to go to the castle.
@Menhir Castle is entered. You may respond when ready
"...Yeah that did seem a bit of an overreaction." The head Koopa deadpanned, punting a few Cheep Cheeps back into the water before turning back to Harvey and Haruki. He managed to overhear what Haruki was saying to himself about meeting royalty, and nodded in agreement.

"You'd be right, but it may take even longer than that. This is a time of war, our King is constantly busy," explained the Koopa, leading the twosome into the castle with his crew "we'll find someplace nice for you guys to wait it out though, don't worry about it, okay?" With that, the doors to Bowser's castle opened. It looked a bit of a mess, with hastily risen statues raised to Bowser and his kids put down on the floor without rhyme or reason, and whatever blank space those left behind were taken up with strewn about papers, either maps or blueprints. Still, the soldiers inside navigated it expertly, or at the very least didn't notice the mess as they walked around.

As Isei approached Jasper and offered her his hand, she looked down at with a mixture of wariness and contempt. Truly, she wanted to do nothing more than grab that hand and smash him around on the cobblestone until said hand was detached from his body, but a combination of corruption exhaustion and a rattled confidence level prevented her from doing such. She huffed a few times, taking Isei's hand and shaking. She still looked apprehensive, but any desire for violence had left the hulking leviathan of a gem.

"Jasper," she said gruffly, letting go of Isei's hand shortly after "Era 1 Quartz Soldier." She added out of force of habit. It was tradition to introduce yourself with your Era and your Facet on Homeworld. Jasper had long since been allowed to drop the facet part of her introduction, having no need for it on the battlefield, but it was rather hard to forget your own era.

@Zero Hex
I'mma wait on you then @clanjos. At least until the end of today.
I was gonna make one more post before starting to take the dudes into the castle. @clanjos posting before I did would be ideal, but if worse comes to worst I can write around it. Harvey's going in the castle shortly, I assure you.
Fair enough. Suppose that means I should take out that one sentence in my post then. Just making sure you saw is all.
York was happy that this newcomer at least had his priorities in order. As much as the black hole filled him with questions, he knew that the health of the people, or Toads rather, on the ground had to come first. 'Doesn't include my health though.' He thought to himself, lighting up yet another cigarette. He made a mental note to see if anyone in this world sold them, and if they did, stock up before he went back through that portal. Assuming their stay here wasn't permanent. He approached the Toads slowly, not checking to see if Roland had followed him

York stood in front of the villagers, looking down on them. The only injured ones, it seemed, were the ones that had been unfortunate enough to be too close to Jasper when she first came through the portal. Otherwise, everyone looked fine. Though there were noticeably less Toads around than when he first arrived, which brought a few questions to his mind. The most prevalent of which was where did they go? He didn't see any gore spread about, or even any outlines in the soot of the bombs that did hit the ground, so he assumed they weren't exploded. And he didn't see any of the Koopas or Goombas making off with any Toads on their backs...

York shook his head. Focus. He crouched down in front of the injured ones, wincing at the bruises and black eyes they had collected. Blot T. looked like he had gotten it worse though, his head having been busted open and some blood running down the side of his face from where he was headbutted.

"I agree Zach-let's steer clear of whoever did this." York muttered, having come through the portal too late to see Jasper's attack on these Toads. He rubbed his chin in thought, shaking his head. He wasn't a medical expert, and even if he was he doubted these Toads would let him get too close. The ones that were still conscious still looked at him with caution, and why wouldn't they? He was a proverbial Gulliver first arriving in Lilliput. York briefly noted to read that book again when he got the chance.

"Stand down boys," came the scratchy voice of General Shif T., his eyes brimming with caution but still seeing opportunity "if he wants to help, let 'im."

"Sad to say I don't think I can," York admitted, a little bit of smoke puffing out of his mouth as he spoke "never really did pay attention in the medical training...You wouldn't happen to know anything would you?" York asked Minz, turning to him in time to see his probe flying off. Another question to be asked later he supposed.

The Koopas, being turtles more or less, did have something of a slow swim across the lake. They found themselves withdrawing into their shells every now and then to fend off attacks from the hungry or just plain angry Cheap Cheaps that swam at them, said shells being able to bounce off any attacks that they made. However, when they saw Haruki emerge from the water with several fish gnawing on him, they double timed their way across the lake. Not long after Haruki emerged (but long after Harvey did), they finally made their way across, several of them moving to yank the fish off of Haruki's body.

"Dang...You must be as tough as Koopa Shell big guy!" The lead Koopa declared in wonder, staring up at Haruki in awe. He was glad he hadn't picked a fight with the fisherman. He doubted he would've been able to win, not with a group of regular troopas. With a Hammer or Fire Bro maybe...This thought process was interrupted by several of his comrades lost grip of the blue Cheap Cheaps they had all but ripped off of Haruki. They were intending to toss them back into the lake, but they were slippery buggers, and soon flopped out of their hands. The Cheap Cheaps, to their credit, were smart enough to realize that going after Haruki again would only net them sore teeth. So they turned their attention to Harvey and started flopping towards him, any Koopas that tried to scoop them up eating grass for their troubles.

It took a few moments after Samus crashed, but Morton eventually caught up to the crash site. Instead of rushing in however, he hid behind a nearby tree, only occasionally peaking out to see if Samus had left yet. It wasn't that he didn't think he couldn't take Samus in a fight, but he'd probably already dented up his dream ship enough already. The less broken parts now, the better. He couldn't help but smirk a little when he saw Samus start going about fixing the damage he had already caused, and in an automative fashion no less.

'I'll just wait for her to leave, hope that thing is fixed enough to be in flying shape, smash those little robot things, and zoom on out of here!' Morton thought enthusiastically, chuckling softly to himself. The thought that maybe he wouldn't know how to fly an aircraft like Samus' didn't occur to him. Right now, he was simply too high off the sheer power and speed behind the ship to really care about that kind of stuff. All he had to do now was wait, and it would all be his...

'All talk, just as I expe-' Jasper thought for a few moments as she was able to hold Isei down with relative ease. True, he hadn't snapped in two or even cried out in pain, but surely no human could take a hit like this and be able to walk away uninjured. Then there was trouble.

The movements were ones Jasper was roughly familiar with. She had knwon the basics of hand to hand combat coming out of the ground after all. What she had forgotten, however, was how easily one could leave themselves open to such moves if they weren't careful. Such was the downside of a sadistic streak and overconfidence. As such, she took the vault over Isei's head full force, flying a few feet through the air before crashing down on the cobblestone a few feet away from Isei. She grunted as she landed, quickly rolling on to her knees and elbows and shaking the fuzziness out of her head. She shot her head back up at his words, grinding her teeth together.

Now, Isei was more on the nose than perhaps he realized. Jaspers, and other quartz like her, were dime a dozen on homeworld, and could be considered easily replaceable tools for their army. Troops would be the more respectful term, the terms Soldier and Warrior reserved for the elite of these quartz. AKA the ones who survived the longest. Still, calling Jasper a tool only served to add more gasoline to her fire, and she scrambled back up to her feet with her eye twitching. She wanted nothing more than to rip and tear and maim and destroy and crush and kill and...

The sharp pain in her arm was Jasper's first clue that the corruption was coming back. Freezing on the spot again, she glanced down, finding her human like arm was transforming into something far more animalistic, with claws instead of fingers. She stumbled and fell forwards again, on to all fours, as it got closer and closer to her gem. Once it reached there, Jasper knew she wouldn't be able to turn back. She could think of many good ways to die, but corruption sure as hell wasn't one of them. Taking deep breaths and essentially shouting at the corruption in her head as it crawled up her arm, it paused right at her shoulder and started regressing. It took a few moments, but soon Jasper's arm was back to normal. She stood back up then, clutching her elbow as if to check if it was still there and normal, before glaring back at Isei. There was far less fire now though. Fighting off corruption wasn't done without a lot of energy after all.

"And...Who do you think...You are?" Jasper asked, still hostile but noticeably more tired than before.

@Zero Hex
Mostly me tbh. I'll get something up today

Done! Also, heads up @Blight Bug, I think @Deathxthextree was sending Ken at you. He hungry for some horse meat.
This is why I don't try solving problems at 8 in the morning @Zero Hex. Kinda glossed over the 'instaslammed' bit of your post, my bad. Just sort of assumed the problem was 'doing too much shit without really giving the other a chance to respond, reel in the ball', though in hindsight it's kinda obvious that ain't good. Props to you for finding some legit fighting techniques to take the sting out of impact though, that's some good stuff fam.
oh oops. knew i forgot something

@Menhir Speaking as a non Touhou fan, reading Ruukoto's bio made my brain melt a little. That's good though! We could use a little wackiness. I don't see anything OP in there either, so Ruukoto is happily accepted.
