As the Pancham came down with a Karate Chop on Totodile she tried to dodge but just couldn't do it, Taking the hit with rage starting to flare in Totodile, eager to prove herself after her utter defeat, she doesn't look away from Pancham or show any sign of backing down. "Dm now use Ice Fang and aim for its shoulder and don't let go." Totodile responding quickly to the call lunging straight for Pancham chomping down hard on its left shoulder.

Ryzin seeing the other trainers react in a similar manner calls out."Dm Water Gun now, let's show these Pancham how we roll." Totodile flares to life inhaling large and spraying a Water Gun barrage at the closest Pancham.

As Ryzin is finished explaining the situation, he sees Talonite start to walk off, then another trainer approaches. After introductions were done, Ryzin sees York move to the side and suddenly Ryzin gets pelted with a few pebbles from Yorks direction, he turns around and sees a bunch of Pancham standing there, then what looks like the leader starting to growl, the Pancham begin running up and grabbing the food that was brought out, they then try to turn tail and run but Totodile wasn't going to have any of that. Totodile seeing Ryzin get hit with pebbles and Pancham trying to take their food Totodile jumps forward ready for revenge, she turns to face Ryzin and gives him the thumbs up and winks.

Ryzin thinks to himself amidst all the chaos, 'Why would they attack us so suddenly, maybe territory, maybe that's why the Scyther was training, to protect his territory. Just maybe these guys have something to do with it, it's only a guess oh well, back to the task at hand.'Ryzin then turns his head to face the other trainers and asks, "Hey guys what say we show these Pancham a thing or two?."

After some time had passed Ryzin had reflected on the battle coming up with various new strategies. Totodile and Amaura were just resting together as Ryzin stared into the sky, he gets up and calls out to his two pokemon, "Come on guys lets go for a walk."

They walked around for a while, Ryzin started to hear voices and smell food, "Guys can you hear that? Come on lets check out who it is." After getting closer they see three trainers sitting around talking and eating, Ryzin thinks to himself, 'Nothing out of the ordinary here, hey I recognize some of those guys from at the entrance, and they were at the fossil machine aswell im pretty sure.' "Guys lets go introduce ourselves, I think we should warn them about how strong some pokemon are in here, we wouldn't want anyone to get hurt now would we."

As Ryzin and his pokemon emerge from the forest they are immediately spotted by the trainers, Ryzin waves out to them trying to signal that hes just a friendly trainer. "Hello, sorry to interrupt your meal, my name is Ryzin this is my Totodile Dm and my Amaura Shiva, we just came to warn you guys about how strong some of the pokemon in here are. We just had a fight with a Scyther that was very powerful and thought you guys may want to know there are some strong pokemon, and that you might need to be careful."

Battle

Wild Scyther Appeared!

The Scyther was hacking away at at tree to sharpen it's claws when it heard a twig snap under Ryzin's foot. It turned towards him and Dm and let out a cry of rage, not appreciating it's training being intterupted.

It slashed the air in front of it hard and launched a Vacuum Wave at Dm, trying to knock it out quickly. The wave was fast and looked strong as well.

As Ryzin saw the Scythers attention switch to them he said to Dm,"Nows the time buddy its got the jump on us, dodge and try use Water Gun!". The Vacuum Wave speeds closer towards Totodile, she isn't quite fast enough to dodge it, she gets slammed by the attack, rolling backwards and into a tree, she jumps up after a second or so, then shakes it off not happy with the situation, Totodile stares at Scyther and sprays a full fire Water Gun directly at it.

The Scyther doesn't even bother trying to dodge the Water Gun, letting itself get hit in the chest. It shook it's head and Leered at Dm, lowering it's defense.

Ryzin sees the Scyther take the hit, he thinks to himself, 'we could be out of our league here, but i know Dm will never give up'. With pokedex still in hand it beeps and says, "Leer. An attack that lowers the targets defence with a menacing stare."Oh shit not good, DM! dont worry stand ready to counter with Ice Fang, Let Scyther make the next move".

The Scyther looked down on Dm menacingly, believing it's waiting to be a sign of cowardice. The Scyther slashed the air once again and fired off another Vacuum Wave. This one would definitely knock out Dm if it hit.

"QUICK DMMM!, MOVE!!". Ryzin shouting frantically at Dm to dodge the attack, Totodile manages to just barely jump to the side. "Dm come back,  I think we need to change tactics", Dm shakes her head not wanting to retreat, but is soon met with Ryzin giving her a serious stare, realizing the seriousness runs back to him."Ok time to change the plan, "Go SHIVA!", Out pops Amaura, she looks around and sees Ryzin and jumps for joy."Nows not the time, this is serious, Use Powder Snow on Scyther over there, QUICK!"

Unfortunately the Scyther was prepared for such a tactic and used Pursuit to chase the Totodile before it gets away. It sliced Dm with its claws, knocking it out and the facing Shiva. Unfortunately for Ryzin, Pursuit was a enhanced priority move, letting Scyther move one more time. The Scyther fired off yet another Vacuum Wave which was possibly strong enough to oneshot the Amaura when combined with type advantage.

The Scyther was hit by the Powder Snow, which definitely hurt it because of typing. However it would take a lot more of those in order to take it down.

Without even time for Ryzins reaction Shiva takes the hit, sliding across the ground, and into a nearby tree. The battle was over, Shiva and Dm were down for the count.

In a panic Ryzin returns Shiva to his pokeball scoops up Dm and runs away. Ryzin reaches what looks like a clearing in the forest, he then checks the area, coming to the conclusion its safe, he then brings Amaura back out, he reaches into his bag and sprays them both with a potion. Looking at both his pokemon with a defeated look says, "Im so sorry guys that was a really bad judgement call on my part, I should have known better than to try take Scyther on, im sorry". Dm looks at him not pleased with her utter defeat, she falls on her butt and begins to cry. Amaura looks at them both kinda carefree about the whole situation, he just lies down and closes his eyes. Ryzin looks to Shiva and thinks, 'wow he is so carefree, he didn't even care he got beat or anything, haha tough little guy just wants a nap hahahaha. "Dm come on there's no need for you to be like this, we will just have to work harder, train more and come up with better strategies, we got this buddy". Ryzin picks up Dm and just holds her close and reflects on the situation which had just past, he then tries to think of what he could have done better.

After observing a few other trainers enter the reserve, Ryzin was content in the fact he could now enter with little hassle from other people. He then proceeded to ask to the guard if he could enter and be on his way. Ryzin and Dm entered into the forest part of the reserve, sneaking around trying to map out the area being as cautious as possible. Seeing various types of pokemon Ryzin pulls out his new pokedex and begins a little learning curve, he then notices something hes seen before but is unsure of the name of the Pokemon.

Ryzin quickly uses his pokedex and checks the pokemon,Scyther. It confuses its prey with its quick, ninja-like movements. Then, in an instant, it cleaves them with its scythes."Oooooooo Dm this looks like it could be rather difficult, think your up to it?......wait a second why did I bother asking, I can tell your pretty keen to battle, lets get a little closer first and watch it for a bit, it could be stronger than we think".

After watching all the other trainers get there fossil pokemon, Ryzin waits with a growing anticipation to receive his reward. When the next fossil is starting to be revived holding Dm in his arms there both staring intently at the process, after the bright light of resurrection passes, Ryzin and Dm see the cutest pokemon sitting on its hind legs, slowly it starts blinking its somewhat biggish eyes trying to greet the new world. Dm leaps out of Ryzin's arms jumping up and down pointing at this new pokemon, "Yes Dm I am quite found of this myself lets take a closer look".

As they approach the little cutey the professor approaches them as says, "This is called an Amaura its a rock and ice type pokemon what do you think?". "This has to be one of the cutest things I've seen", Ryzin reaches out to Amaura, "hey little buddy how would you like to journey with me and Dm here?, it would be lots of fun". Amaura looks at him tilting his head to the side, then leans in to sniff his hand, HAAACHOOO!, Amaura sneezes and lets out a puff of snow flakes from its nose. Dm starts cracking up laughing at Ryzin seeing his face covered in snotty snow flakes, Ryzin just looks at Dm and shakes his head, then turns back to Amaura not realizing Amaura is right in his face. He gets a little bit of a shock, then Amaura gives him a big slurpy lick across the face trying to clean up the mess he made all over Ryzin. "HAHAHAHHAHA I think you three are going to get along famously here is Amaura's pokeball, I hope I get to see what becomes of you and your pokemon young man". "Well now all we need to do now is decide on a name for you, what to call you, how about Shiva? what do you think?, Shiva does a little jumping, nods then taps his head on the pokeball, then returns safe and sound.

Ryzin then looks to his faithful companion, then back to the professor and humbly asks him "Hey Professor you wouldn't by chance have a spare pokedex would you, I'm kinda new to the whole trainer thing and my buddy Dm here loves to battle, So I thought Id do some battling maybe look into the pokemon gyms aswell, I just learned from this old guy about the pokedex and I really need one, I thought you might have one lying around?"."Well young man since you asked so kindly by chance yes I do have one here on me, I was going to give it to one of my assistants but I can always get him another one from my office, I also assume you haven't got a trainer card or registered for the pokemon league?"."Well short story nope not at all." "Not to worry I will fix you up since you were a great help here, follow me".

After a while Ryzin got all set and ready to go he moves back to the entrance of the reserve and stops for a moment. He then pulls out his pokedex and points it at Totodile, "Lets check this thing out", Totodile. Resembles a blue crocodile with red spines on its back and tail, despite the smallness of its body, Totodile's jaws are very powerful. While the Pokemon may think it is just playfully nipping, its bite has enough power to cause serious injury.Ryzin thinks to himself, wow this is neat then notices Dm posing like some sort of hero. "Really Dm, yes your jaws are strong, you're such a blowhard its so cute, look at the little cutie Totodile all strong and cute like". Dm turns around folds her arms, stamps her foot and gets all flustered with embarrassment. "HAHAHHAHAHA I am only teasing come on buddy lets go to the reserve see what awaits us there".

The Team Arclight Grunt scoffed with annoyance as he called up his Noibat. "Alright then kid, let's play a bit then", he seemed to be a little irritated, he didn't seem eager to battle, but all the same his Noibat was called up in front.

Ryzin looking at the Grunt full of cofindence stops and looks at Dm, "Look Dm just do your best and stay on guard this is all new for both us, NOW LETS SHOW HIM YOUR POWER!!".

"Loudmouthed kid, alright then. Noibat, use Gust!", the Noibat flew a little higher before swooping over the Totodile, picking up significant wind, before turning and 'throwing' a small tornado at it.

"Dm jump to the right and use Water gun just like we practiced". Totodile noding, jumps to the right trying to dodge a small tornado like gust coming at it, narrowly dodging the attack Totodile inhales, then fires of a water gun at Noibat as quick as its able to.

The Gust was a wide-area attack, so Totodile managed to avoid the worst of it, giving it the footing it needed to counter-attack with Water Gun, however Noibat was already freely flying around, it was a fast, moving target, the Water Gun at most could only manage a light graze as the Noibat came back in for another swoop. "Now, Supersonic!", the Noibat screeched a nauseating sound, gold rings showing the effect area as it came in on Totodile from the front.

Ryzin thinks to himself, 'this is quite a fast pokemon, very troublesome indeed'. "Ok Dm QUICKLY!!. Try using water gun pointed at the floor to boost you, then jump as high as you can over the Supersonic, try to land on Noibat as you come down".

The Totodile's stunt by order of his trainer was risky, Water Gun doesn't have the force to send it high into the air, but for it's Supersonic run the Noibat went closer to the ground, the Water Gun's force was sufficient from the small water Pokemon as the Noibat suddenly felt a weight on it's back, before crashing to the ground, as it's small wings could not carry the sudden baggage. The Noibat was skidding along the ground as Totodile was in a position to attack it while it was on the ground.

"Argh! Damnit Noibat, Screech! Use Screech!", the order came out, the Noibat heard it, but it was still recovering from it's fall.

Ryzin seeing the slight delay from noibat yells to Totodile, "Dm now's the time use Ice Fang, NOW!! before it recovers Bite its wing stop it from flying around". Ryzin giggles to himself 'hehehehehe, this should turn the tides a bit.... hopefully'.

Totodile Nods in acknowledgment, Her fangs start to freeze over and Totodile lifts her head up and chomps down hard on the Noibat, Hitting the top of the left wing.

The Ice Fang was super effective, the Noibat yelped in pain before turning to the Totodile, and using Screech in it's face, managing to force it off, however the damage was done. The Noibat attempted to take to air again, only to stutter and fall a bit, before getting up again. It was limping. It no longer had the speed it displayed earlier.

"Ugh... Absorb, use Absorb!", the grunt was getting panicked, and unable to fly quickly, the Noibat simply hovered in it's position, struggling to fire out Absorb as a beam.

Hearing the point blank Screech, Totodile grabbed at its ears and closed her eyes tightly and fell backwards trying to block out the sound. Slowly Totodile gets up as the deafening sound dies down,"Dm jump to the right once again, then use Water Gun one more time".

Totodile looking a little more tired now jumps to the right, again narrowly dodging the green beam heading towards her. Totodile inhales deeply then lets out a Water Gun beaming towards Noibat.

The Absorb sloppily landed as the Totodile stepped to the side, avoiding the attack before swiftly returning fire with a Water Gun, cleanly shooting the Noibat out of the air. As it landed to the ground, it was clear it had fainted as it struggled to get up, before finally resting it's head against the ground.

"Urgh,,,", the Grunt clearly had no Pokemon left as he begrudgingly returned the Noibat to it's Pokeball.

After seeing the Grunt Flee from the scene Ryzin rushes over to check on Totodile. As Ryzin approaches Totodile she flops backwards landing on her behind, she starts to pant heavily and looks up at Ryzin. "Dm buddy are you ok?.Totodile looks up at Ryzin and gives a thumbs up and winks. Man you are amazing buddy those moves you pulled off were perfect, I am so proud of you"...... Mid sentence totodile falls on her back trying to recover, Ryzin shocked, thinking she had passed out scoops her up in his arms. All the while Totodile has a massive smile on her face looking at Ryzin with the cheekiest of expressions."Dm do you want to go back to the pokemon center and get some rest, or are you ok to carry on?, I get the feeling like we need to stick around, someone might need our help. Totodile nods and signals to be put down, she stands up proper and strikes her signature pose. "You are such a show off, I know your tired", Ryzin reaches into his bag, grabs a potion and sprays Totodile with it, "I know that must feel better, alright buddy lets go check on the fossil machine".

Ryzin looking around seeing the events unfolding, takes a step forward carefully approaching the action but stops suddenly. 'Hmmm this could get ugly, there's quite a few trainers here by the looks, i'm not the only one getting ready tho, hmmmmm Dm could get hurt in this kind of situation, she's never had this kind of battle before, we've done some target practice but not much, maybe that flying looking pokemon could be more our type of battle, I don't like the look of the other three,especially that big one that's on a whole other level. Then again nothing will stop them from ganging up on any trainer, I don't think there going to fight fairly. Should I intervene?, should I let someone more experienced handle this?, Dam it! I don't know what to do'.

Dm watching Ryzin thinking about the situation sensed his doubt, SLAP! Dm smacks him across the back of the head, jumps of his shoulders grabs Ryzin by the pants and tugs him towards the front then stops,Dm begins to point at the flying pokemon, then shouts at Ryzin making a clenched fist at him, "you want to battle don't you, I know you do but I didn't want to put you in this situation, this could get dangerous there's more than one pokemon here Dm", Dm looks at him then all the other pokemon and pouts,"look Dm I am not saying we cant battle lets just stay here near the front and be ready to help if need be ok".

Then out of the front row a meter or so down form Ryzin a trainer steps forward about the same age as Ryzin or so and shouts "Hold it right there!", seeing this courageous act Dm is brimming with anticipation looking at Ryzin. Ryzin looks down at Dm and says "yes Dm we must help him, we must even the odds if only a little".

Upon resting up nurse Joy comes out with Dm, "Excuse me sir your pokemon is ready", Ryzin walks over, "Thank you nurse Joy, hey Dm you ready?", Dm nods and jumps off the counter, she looks at Ryzin does a little flex and points to the door. "Oh, wow you're pumped, say while you were with nurse joy i saw a few people running past, they said something about a fossil, we should go check it out sounds kinda interesting don't ya think". Dm claps and starts walking out."HEY! wait up..."

Ryzin and Dm walk around following the crowd going to the university stadium, upon entering the crowded hall they notice a professor of some importance, A table with a little dinosaur looking pokemon catches there eye. "WOAH! that is cool, Dm jump on my shoulder have a look at this". Dm looks with interest tapping Ryzin on the head with wide eyes, "I've never seen one before either, see this is why I need a pokedex, the old man said they are quite handy, now i believe him".

Then they hear the professor announce to bring in the next sample."Next sample? mmmmm interesting indeed".
