Apologies, all, but my posting will be slow over the next few days. I'll get to ya as soon as I can, though!

Bio

A bit about me:

I've been roleplaying for 12 years now, though mostly via MMOs. My favorite genre is fantasy, and I usually do MxF or FxF RPs here. I prefer 1x1s, because those are much easier to keep up with. I'm a major anime and manga fan, my favorites being Sword Art Online, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Fruits Basket, in that order. Otherwise, I'm your typical RPer.

I have two sides to me, and they change rather quickly: one's a cute, bubbly fun-lover, while the other is a quiet, serious, say-what-needs-saying type. Both are me, and it makes life very interesting sometimes. ^-^ Maybe I should give them names... More as that develops!

Sarah nearly spat her drink out. "K-Kill them?!" she repeated, trying very hard not to shout. "No, I don't want you to kill them! That would be horrible!" They were major jerks, sure, but killing them? That was taking things way too far!

...Although... whispered a devious little monster in her brain.

Killing them was out of the question, no ands, ifs, or buts about it. However, the darker parts of Sarah's mind began to churn out a tiny sliver of an idea, until eventually, even her best morals couldn't drown it out. Here she was, sharing a meal with the apparent princess of Hell itself. She didn't want to kill them, but...

"But..." she whispered, an unfamiliar and wicked glint in her eyes, "maybe something else? Like... I don't know, something to embarrass them or really freak them out?" No matter who you were, if you weren't in PKA, you were probably against them. And Sarah was most definitely against them. And after everything they'd ever gotten away with, surely just a little bit of payback would be justified, right?

Some tiny part of Sarah's brain wondered if Nefas was having an effect on her, but its tiny voice went unnoticed. Ideas like this were surprisingly hard to ignore.
Sarah simply shrugged. "Who knows?" she answered. "Guys are stupid like that. As for what they do..." She had to sigh at all the images that began flashing through her head. "They drink, get really drunk, blast really lousy music on full volume, have a lot of sex, and eventually get the cops called on them. They do a lot of other stupid things, too, but..." She shook her head again. "I'd rather not get into those." She took a sip of her tea.

"Some of the worst things they do are the pranks, though. They've done all kinds of horrible things around campus, especially to the girls. Everything from stealing makeup to dumping garbage cans on top of them. They once used photoshop - that's a computer program that can alter pictures - to create fake nudes of this one girl and then posted them all over campus. It got so bad that she had to drop out!" Sarah herself had been the victim of a few smaller pranks already, but nothing compared to doing something like that. "And they never get in real trouble, because Greg's dad - Greg is the leader - pays the school a whole lot of money every year, so they always get off with a warning, no matter how bad it is." Glaring at them a moment longer, she finally shook her head and turned back to Nefas, good mood clearly having evaporated completely. "I can't stand them. They give people in general a bad name."
Disclaimer: "Phi Kappa Alpha" were the first three Greek letters to pop into my head. Any relations or similarities to real fraternities is completely and entirely coincidental.
"It's wrong because most people don't want to be eaten," she answered, dipping a fry in ketchup before popping it into her mouth. "And since there's no need to eat them, we shouldn't do it." Sarah continued to regard her curiously, the shock of the question having passed. A woman who'd just spontaneously appeared in her life who happened to be the daughter of Satan, and yet here they were carrying on a casual (if somewhat disturbing) conversation and sharing a simple meal together. The thought made her smile, if only for the complete weirdness of it all.

Sarah followed Nefas's gaze to the group in the corner. When she saw them, she frowned as well. "P.K.A.," she explained. "Phi Kappa Alpha, our campus's biggest fraternity." She realized Nefas might not know that word, so she went into detail. "A fraternity is like a large group of guys who hang out a lot and do things like parties and drinking. Most of them aren't bad, but these guys are..." She searched for a term. "less restrained than the others. They do things like this all the time. Just ignore them."
I got lost in my own mind for a good long while, but now I'm back again! =D
Nifty. I'd like to play a Mage.
Sorry... I know my soon wasn't very soon. I've been having trouble writing stuff lately. =( I will respond, though! Eventually!
Smiling, Sarah ordered two chicken sandwich meals (with fries, of course!) and tea to drink. Once she had everything, she led Nefas over to a table and sat down, eagerly digging into her waiting food. It had been a while since she'd gone anywhere with someone like this, even if the situation was... unique. Even so, it was nice to have some company for a change; eating alone was nice too, of course, but Sarah did enjoy the occasional meal with someone.

Nefas's sudden question, however, ruined the mood entirely as Sarah choked on her tea in shock.

"Have I *cough*... Have I ever what?!" she exclaimed, doing her best not to shout (though the cashier did turn to give her an odd look). "Of course not! Humans... Humans don't do that!" After a moment, she added, "Well, most of us don't. We call that cannibalism, and it's... bad." She supposed she should have expected subjects like that if Nefas really was a demoness, but still, the sheer casualness of Nefas's tone had thrown her completely. "I... No, I've never done that. And to be honest, I have absolutely no intention of ever doing so." She looked at Nefas for a few seconds. "And you shouldn't either."

She fully realized it was stupid to attempt to control a demoness's behavior, but if Nefas tried to eat anybody, Sarah would have to try to stop her. And I really don't wanna get eaten myself, she thought to herself, not really caring if Nefas heard that or not.
"Ready!" Mara announced, pounding her fist into her open palm - her sign of determination. Unlike Houjin, Mara's excitement was making adrenaline surge through her, and she was acutely aware of everything around her: the announcer, the other team, her own teammates, and the various cheers and boos that erupted from the surrounding crowds. The other team looked as green as anyone Mara had ever seen, though she certainly had no room to say so; technically, she wasn't even an official player yet. She grinned; that just meant she had to do even better to make a good impression! She could feel her blood rushing within her, which Dan had always warned against allowing. "It makes you revert to more primal instinct than good sense," he'd told her, "so try to calm it whenever you get stirred up. Otherwise, you're easy to outsmart." She took a few deep breaths, and when the buzzer sounded, she felt ready to roll.

And roll she did; a snapping whip of water flew right at the spot she'd just been standing.

The battle was on! She ducked, weaved, "oof"d and "ack"d as she dodged as many blows as she took. Fortunately, she was an Earthbender, and they were not known for being movable when they wanted to stand. And so, despite the impressive collection of bruises she was now acquiring, she managed to launch her counterattacks and offensives with gusto. Ukik and Houjin definitely knew their stuff; even a novice like Mara could tell that half the stuff that didn't hit her was specifically because of their doing. She did her best to return the favor, occasionally launching a stone disk in the path of an oncoming water whip or bout of fire. At the end of the first round, she was covered in sweat and bruises, but the grin on her face had only grown wider. It was slow, and it was most definitely painful, but she was learning. She was starting to get a feel for the other team, and she'd already spotted their Earthbender's weakness: he always twitched his left foot right before attacking. Her lessons with Dan were paying off, and when the second round started, she eagerly dove right back into the action.

Meanwhile, Dan sat quietly in the crowd, somewhere up and to the left of the Badgerfrogs' field of vision. From his perch, he'd been working to analyze the general sense of the team. So far, Mara was doing well; Ukik and Houjin were covering for her inexperience well, and she was still managing to contribute occasionally. He cheered as the first round went to them, but maintained his careful observation. He was always a cautious and calculating guy - mercenary work did that - but seeing Mara living her dream brought a smile to his face as well. "Go get 'em, kid," he muttered as the second round began.
It's fine. ^-^ And yay! What did you think of that ending?

I'll post soon.
