Yeah, that seems to be a really big problem around here. I tried hosting a few RP's back before the site crash and you always get a bunch of people who want to just make a character sheet, sometimes a first post or two, then they pretend they don't have time for anything (or they make up morbid sob stories about why they haven't been around). I really detest that; probably one of the reasons I gave this place up for a year or so.

Torack has yet to make a post for Johnathan, thus his whereabouts are unknown. Immortal Industries can provide personal transportation to the island, if need be, otherwise, I can send him in the usual way on the boats. I suppose the reception room would be the first stop from there; Chase will need a class schedule and a dorm assignment.
Okay, from what I was able to glean from the IC, there are three groups so far. One of them is apparently exploring some ruins on the island, another group just watched some poor fool get gut punched by a fireball, and another pair seem to be preparing for security duty and some sort of late night hunt for a creature that's killing students who wander off. Am I missing or misinterpreting something? If not, let me know where, how and when to send my client in and I'll get started.
Right then, all seems to be in order now. I threw in a Hands of Science reference for you; I can change that little tidbit of history on my end without causing any sort of crazy time paradoxes...theoretically.

Let me know if you find any more smudges.
Alrighty then, just to recap: Dozards of only standard size, sorta a given on an island with the only food coming in being small woodland critters and the stuff delivered to the kitchen. A heavy, slow dozard and a lethargic, incapacitated Chase after shifts. Are we covered?

And don't fret too much about the not-so-nice organization that captured him before. He sorta broke their highrise headquarters in his previous RP.
*jotts details*

Lethargic after shifts. Gotcha. I'm not so sure about applying pain during backshifts, give the poor kid a break; you have yet to see what its like during the initial change to a Dozard. It's not pleasant. Let's just throw in some required rest and call it good, shall we?

And burns when he...?! Come on now, Immortal Industries(c) only employs the most competent genetic engineers when designing our in-house actors. We worked out flaws like those, and spontaneous gibbing, after the seventh model of Chase.
Heavy and slow...I think we can do that. Swimming and climbing would also be out of the question. Anything else before I make the CS changes?

And no offense taken, it's perfectly understandable considering you've only met me. Mortals these days can be notoriously treacherous with their word.
So it's not enough that his ability isn't 'on-call' so to speak? He doesn't have access to the catalyst or its ingredients, and he wouldn't use them if he did. Pain hurts.

If we need a greater method of control, I believe one may be formulated with relative ease. Perhaps a reversing catalyst handy for the administration? I'm also told this academy is located on an island; it takes some serious grub to get a secondary shift out of a Dozard and I highly doubt he'll find any cattle farms around. If I had to guess, standard size Dozards will be all you'll get out of him in this RP. I'm not against a little pre-scripting if it will make him a better fit (IE, an agreement to have no secondary shifts).

Maybe an allergy to lemon juice? It did take a few million zerg genetic strands to get the two biological systems to co-exist peacefully.

Otherwise, I'm open to some suggestions.
He breaks half the rules just by showing an application, but what the hey, I get that a lot. Shhh, shhh now, they all say that the first time. It'll work out just fine, you'll see.
