Name: James 'Gympee' Bolton
Bio: Born 2022 in Johannesburg, South Africa, he barely made it through school. At 18 he was conscripted into the South Africa Armed Forces, because of the war in Zambia. He spent 2 years in theatre. The war was won by the South Africans because of sheer numbers and a very aggressive carpeting bombing campaign. On return to RSA, he was discharged from service, after his application for Permanent status was denied. He then applied to join the UK Armed Forces. He was accepted into the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. An infantry battalion in the 16 Air Assault Brigade, that provided back up and support to the S.A.S. and S.B.S. He was a member of 6 Platoon, Badger Company. Because of his keen sight, he become lead scout in his platoon. In 2044, he was deployed to Brazil. Brazil was a full on war against the drug cartels. He was stabbed in the chest, under the arm, getting him a return flight back to the UK. One week before the completion of his tour. Once he was healed, he attended sniper school, where he was awarded the Commandants Medal of Excellence. He was then promoted to Lance Corporal. In January 2046 the Battalion was then deployed to Columbia to continue the war on drugs. He received the Military Cross for saving the lives of a Special Forces team that had been ambushed by one of the cartels. He then received the Queens Gallantry Medal for breaking cover to recover a medic who had been shot by a sniper, LCpl Bolton was wounded by the sniper, but it was in the left shoulder and a minor wound, requiring just 10 stitches. He was promoted to Cpl upon return to the UK. He then attended Summer S.A.S. Selection in 2047. Having passed selection, and completing jump school, he became a member of Air Troop. Almost all of his records from the S.A.S. have been redacted. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2051. After which he was sent to X Squadron, which is an unofficial kill squad for the British Government. Having spent 8 years in the Special Forces, Sgt. Bolton decided to apply to Alamo Inc. Figuring that it was time to make some money from his skills.
Description: Age: 34, Height: 173cm, Weight: 88kg, Multiple tattoos on his arms and back but none on his chest. He has many battle scars from bullet nicks and one ugly knife scar on the right hand side of his chest, running from under the arm pit to just above his hip. His dress sense is very functional, cargo pants and t-shirts. Due to the high operationally tempo of his career, he never had the need for other clothing. He has grey blue eyes, hawk like stare, but with a friendly face, however when he gets angry, his scowl is normally enough to get people to step back or back down from him.
Personality Profile: James is very easy going, very calm under pressure, a lot of people think that he doesn’t care, but having been in the military all his life, he has learnt how to control his emotions and has learnt not to panic in any situation. It takes a lot for James to get angry, but when he does lose his temper, it’s best to let the storm pass, rather than try to stop it.
Military Skills: James is a weapons specialist and medic. However, having been in the S.A.S. he learnt multiple skills and is proficient at most of them. He can speak English, Afrikaans, Russian and Spanish.
Weapons:
Depending on what the mission calls for Sgt. Bolton has a varied taste in weapons.
Primary Weapons: SCAR-H with EGLM, with holographic Red Dot site, laser site and torch. Or a 7.62 FN MAG aka General Purpose Machine Gun aka Gympee. For a sniper role his weapon of choice is either M82A1 .50 Cal or .308 L115A1 Super Magnum.
Secondary weapons: Either a FN SLP or a Colt 1911 MEU
Edged Weapon: Kukri, from the Gurka Regiment.
