Alright, might need to accelerate the timeline a bit just to bring everyone offscreen in.
@GD are you okay with some scenes as Ydylis is guided to her new crew?

Sounds good!
<Snipped quote by GD>

If I've read Ydylis's sheet right, her role in the group will be administration, navigation, market research, and any social interaction done away from a negotiating table, yes?

If so, I imagine Ydylis would have been one of the first people Chwegwn reached out to, offering her ample financial support in exchange for her talents.

Sounds about right. She could help supply bargaining chips for Captain Chwegwn, but she does not want to be a visible face at the negotiating table or risk turning herself into a target. Ydylis may be too proud to admit it, but financial support would be hard to pass up in her current situation.

Her navigation skill also does not have a specialty in the World Without Sun, if @Benzaiten's yew necromancer decides to go that route.
Just popping to say hi, I'm still invested! Ydylis's sheet is not meant to make a fighter, so hopefully that makes combat go a little quicker. (I have fun reading and writing combat but want to try something different with this character.) Her retainer's open to take any shape Excession would deem useful for the story.
Whoops, fixed. Thanks!

@rush99999 Very fun characterization you've done with Chwegwn's six bodies.

@TaintedMushroom Poor, paranoid Lybar Adrian. I wonder how more Scions in the mix will make him feel.

@Abstract Proxy Cold Hands seems well steeped in Cold Truths. Looking forward to seeing such poetry play out in combat too.

I'm also looking forward to seeing more characters!
@Excession Would this draft of Hulbrad Ydylis be okay to add to Characters?
Hello! I also came to take a peek after a link from Excession. Here is a tentative draft of a informant character, with some <things in brackets> where I am uncertain what fits the setting.

Hulbrad Ydylis

Growing up as the fourth child of a branch family in the mountains, there was as much to learn from her older siblings as her tutors. Ydylis expected settle comfortably into a supporting role for her brother, Rothar, with room for leisure. Studying abroad in Stormspire <salons and libraries>, she attained a social intelligence to fit in comfortably with various personalities. Academically, she delved into mapping the oddities of time and space. In the midst of celebrating a peer-reviewed publication, she deciphered a communique indicating her father took ill.

Attempting to return home, Ydylis was instead directed to serve the House by taking up a post in Kontina. There was a retainer expecting her arrival in the furnished office in Silks. It has been three months since arriving. The clients she inherited have begun to trust her word. At the same time, her siblings have largely been silent even though she has independently confirmed continued shipments to the family manor.

With future financial support from the family uncertain, Ydylis has turned to a side business of <some activity that Orohom would tolerate until convenient not to>.

Appearance
Scion, feminine, with dusky brown skin and a fathoms-dark gaze. Statuesque and well-dressed. A penchant for ostentatious wide-brimmed hats, which she uses to impose a silent demand for personal space in crowded streets.

Languages
Urd; Shaydensea; some other language she learned purely to annoy Hulbradim peers when encoding communiques in bawdy ballads and unrefined poetry.
Hellos. Chirpy birdbrained murderbot Baskarmyna is ready to wake. Or I can play a different Bandi if another would like to take up a Gaida Soulcage.
-----
Name: Baskarmyna (ba-skah-my-na)
Soulcage: Gaida
Fragments:
A golden, keening call resonating through her frame, promising an unblinking witness to the death of the Enemy.
Shared softel autotargeting, the red virtual dots studding a battlefield stained in Kelijak yellow.
Sword-feathers edged in starlight as they sing through space, ungilded by friction.
Screaming through the terrible silence of foreign constellations with an interstellar flare.

Aesthetic:
It cares not for the concept of gender, but for the sake of a harmonious narrative, it shall acknowledge "she" and "her."
A dark patina flecked with rust clouds her plate and crowned helm. Her gilded feathers are gone. Her flat, segmented arms run long, digits brushing the floor at full digitigrade height. What remains of the ivory inlay has turned ochre red, the carvings obscured in grime, in ancient blood.
And through all the cracks and exposed conduits, she glows gold.
