I believe he's dividing his attention a bit between this and another roleplay he threw up an Interest Check for three days ago.

That, or he's simply waiting for people to post. Things have slowed down considerably since his forced break.

I'm still here!

Just waiting for more people to post honestly, but I think I've waited long enough.

I'll have a GM Post shortly to respond to those who have posted.
@Gnar The Missing Link quick question the God/Golem thing will you decide what sort of requirements we will need to complete?

If you're referring to unlocking them, then there isn't any real requirement except some sort of resonance between yourself and them. If you mean getting stronger or something of the like, then possibly.

Although, I'll have the character sheets and the OOC up shortly to hopefully answer any questions pertaining to the characters themselves.
Gone for a day and there's tons of interest in the thread!

@RangingWolf

Hm, it'll be a mix between the two. While there will be modern elements such as cities, cars, airplanes, and the likes, along with a few futuristic tech here and there- however due to Scourge having dealt such a heavy blow most of those things will be under military jurisdiction or in territory that is highly dangerous- the beings who came over from their realm (which is more medieval) have brought over the elements of magic along with their own stuff. While their technology isn't the best, their magic isn't to scoff and for they were able to do better against the Scourge than we have with our technology, but they just didn't have the number of people that we have to effectively finish them off.

Hopefully that answered your question I hope? >_<
Era of the End

“Is this the answer that has been given to us for all that we have done?”

There was once a person on the radio where we lived that used to say that our daily lives were unappealing, that we were constantly destroying ourselves as a human race. That we, as mankind, were nothing more than a self-destructive force that will eventually destroy the very world that we were given to live upon… or someone would do it for us.

Weeks later, that very same man would show up on TV, sweating heavily as he carried a TV news camera towards an incredibly busy place, almost as if a gathering of sorts was being held. Despite stealing the camera, nobody paid him any mind as everyone was looking up at the skies above… and as a cry suddenly filled the air. The man on the TV was frazzled and amazed at what was happening, that despite people trying gain the attention of those staring at the skies- who ranged from old to young yet stood no kids- they wouldn’t move or even blink. Over the TV, as the scorching sound of a roar grew louder and louder, something deep within our bodies and our minds told us that something dangerous was coming.

We always expected the apocalypse to come from the sounds of a trumpet rather than fierce cry… nor did we expect what was to come next to happen either. Angels, Demons, monsters… whatever you expected from the ‘apocalypse’ was nothing more than simple strings of lies built upon lies that we so foolishly lapped up like stray dogs. Then, when the truth came, it came forth with a bang unlike any other.

Though, from what the man said, things were far worse than a bang.

The clouds gathered together as they turned ethereal in appearance, looking colorless and now see through as they eventually formed a vortex in the skies above. Then a single figure descended like a falling star as it landed in the center of the gathered people elegantly. The figure was as tall as a light post and its image was both horrific and alluring.

Letting out a roar, the grinning deviant of unknown origin released tendrils from its back that pierced the very flesh of those who continued to stare without moving or blinking. The tendrils then split forth from the divine being and went into the people… immediately morphing their flesh, bones, and twisting their weak and fragile shells into something far more useful.

These turned creatures immediately turned upon their former human comrades and immediately began to both devour and slaughter indiscriminately without hesitation or fear, as four massive chains fell from the skies and impaled the ground, destroying buildings and constructs as they passed through them. From these chains, creatures with gaping maws in their chests and revealing muscles crawled their way down as colossal abominations sewn together by the corpses of what seemed to be other fantasy creatures fell from the skies. These colossal abominations grabbed a hold of the chains and tugged all at once, pulling down what seemed to be a gigantic and flying bloated reptilian creature with sacs on the underside of it over the city as more creatures started to jump off of it. It was here in this desolate town in the middle of nowhere did the end of all things begin, and did our true colors as human beings begin to shine.

Some called them Divine Retribution, Angels, Demons, or even the Heralds of the Apocalypse… but most of us simply called them the Scourge, for they simply brought nothing but death and destruction wherever they walked. Men, women, children… none were spared their wrath as they killed and corrupted all. The only things that were left alone were the animals, but they too eventually died due to Scourge’s foul tactics of leaving plagues wherever they went.

Even though our advances of technology thanks to building up the weapons which we call Frames, and we proved to hold them at bay as they took over much of North and South America… We still ended up at the brink of destruction. We always believed that if an outside force came that we would all miraculously unite under one banner and fight together, but in truth we didn’t for we were at each other’s throats than ever before. We fought over resources and territory and our very future along with what would happen to us after the Scourge was defeated when they was no victory in sight!

So, they spread and our military advantage and what little unity faded into nothingness over time. The Scourge spread as they took over the Americas, Asia, Africa, and started laying their filthy nests into every major city they could get their hands upon. The only last safe havens were Australia and the Antarctic regions, for the remaining military forces decided to lay a last line of defense within Europe at London, the Strait of Gibraltar, Istanbul, and Moscow. Despite these key locations being protected heavily and even the use of experimental weapons being used… the Scourge broke through and the world was forced to watch as hope was lost-

-but we, who had lost all hope as the encroaching darkness came upon us was blessed with a light unlike any other.

Lightning struck before the approaching armies of the Scourge as a thunderous sound echoed forth, as the very air before them warped and twisted. A distortion- a ripple through the fabric of the realm appeared just as day the Scourge came upon Earth, but as it did a colossal white alien-like titan with a fortress upon its’ very back emerged from the ripple and blew forth fire of a cerulean color as it spread for miles. Then, lightning shot out from the pillars upon its back as light spread throughout it and shot off in random directions… only to go across the world and harmlessly strike human beings, both adults, teenagers, and even those still in the womb. These chosen by this creature would soon find themselves with a tattoo-like mark upon their person.

As this new creature stayed and defended the land and repelled the armies of the Scourge, more distortions appeared over Earth as fantasy creatures appeared with golem-like creatures similar to the colossal one, but far smaller in size started to repel them. We would soon come to learn after coming into contact with one of the leaders on board the colossal creature, that the Scourge we being purged from their own world and had simply escaped into our world when they found a chance to.

Years have now passed since this event and those who have been chosen by the Colossal Creature have gotten older. The world has changed much now, and the sights of the centaurs that help carry things, minotaurs competing in brawls, gnomes tinkering with old military Frames and tanks, along with Orcs owning taverns have now become the normal along with new greenery here and there. It’s almost as if we have always lived with these mythical creatures and the lives we once had never truly existed…

You, being one of the chosen of the Colossal One, just what will you do now that you are capable of doing what you want? Will you explore the land of Earth? Make a name for yourself and gather some land and let others do the work? Perhaps you’ll take up arms and fight the Scourge and reclaim mother Earth… or perhaps you see things in a different light and see all this as just retribution?

Just how will your tale meet its end?

Hello! Sorry if this interest check isn't as flashy as my other ones, but I wanted to focus more on giving out my idea rather than making it pretty... although I might go back in and fix that...

Anyway, this is an idea that I've had brewing for a LONG while in terms of a concept of powers that I have been wanting to do for an extremely long time but haven't been able to pull it off properly until now, I think.

Anyway, to explain, in this RP players would be playing a character who would be a 'Chosen one' by the Colossal One. All of our characters would be capable of having the powers of these regular Gods/Golems from the realm that the fantasy creatures and the gods come from, but to a lesser extent that they would have in the full-fledged form of course.

So, say that your character has a God who is extremely strong and is capable of shooting fire, your character would be capable of using fire magic, be resistant to fire, and would have great strength and would probably have a few features similar to their sealed God/Golem. However, our characters would also be capable of transforming into their sealed God/Golem with enough practice and obtain their full powers.

Now, these guys aren't pushovers either. They easily could destroy a full fleet of Destroyer-Class ships on their own and could handle a squadron of Scourge minions, but of course this would leave the character exhausted as well depending on how well the connection between the two of you are- since the Golem/God is also a living sentient being and wont just submit to your will. If you do something that pleases them or follow their path and way of thinking and get them to like you, then they'll give you more and more of their power and you'll also be able to actively 'hear' their voice as well.

This also means that there can be dissonance as well. If you and your sealed God/Golem don't get along and you two constantly butt heads, or if you forcibly draw out its power- then you may not be able to hear its voice or even their name, which can in turn restrict your power... or corrupt your powers and even your sealed God if you force its power.

Everyone's resonance rating would be random of course at the beginning, so don't dwell too much on that.

Freedom would be left up to the players, and there would be quite a lot of emotional turmoil and other stuff as well in this RP! The best way I can probably describe it is to expect consequences for your actions and that there probably isn't a 'true' good guy in this RP, with everyone having their demons per se. You would have the option to explore Earth and do what you like, interacting with the fantasy creatures who have begun to make home, the villages that have started to pop up, or even check out the technology that has been abandoned due to the constant war. You also have the freedom to decide how you want to live in the Rp, given that there isn't any 'real' laws anymore since there isn't any high ruling faction outside of the major populated cities.

Standard RP rules would apply of course, so do be civil!

If there are any questions, comments, concerns, etc., do say them since I am all ears! If this does get quite some interest, I'll be more than happy to go ahead and make an OOC which would also substitute as the Sign-Ups!
Alrighty, so, I gave some time before I posted because I wanted to see if I heard anything from the Lovos group, but I have not.

@Shikaru I'm thinking about having you go with the Kormog group since they're down to two people.
Within the Forests on Gorlock

The Blue Scion simply tilted its head as Tsubaki decided to step towards it a bit and give off a few remarks. The 'slits' of its eyes began to glow bright as waved its hand and decided to fire off the little orb that flew like a bullet off in a random direction in the forest... before exploding like a massive energy bomb. Perhaps the term 'bomb' wasn't quite correct, for the orb that flew off as soon as it made contact with something just expanded to about fifty meters and retracted within itself... leaving nothing in its wake. The trees, animals, and even the ground itself just disappeared as if the atoms themselves were absolved and destroyed in an instant.

Lifting up its weapon, the Blue Scion proceeded to walk towards Tsubaki nonchalantly and in a very symmetric pattern until he stood directly before her. Suddenly, Tsubaki would hear her own voice coming from the Scion before her, repeating the very words that she had just said. "I dunno what's going on, I'm not going to pretend to know where the hell I am. But even in a dream, attacking a bunch of defenseless girls is pretty damn shitty, right?"

"Your location is on the Primal Titan of Life, Gorlock within the world of Aurora. Whether you are defenseless or not is irrelevant, you will eventually pose a threat and must be thoroughly subjugated by breaking of will by the showing of the difference of our power... if you cannot comprehend that you will be eliminated."

The Blue Scion then waved his hand as the lesser Scions proceeded to chase after Tamaki, Fiona, and Chloe with their own weapons drawn. After giving out his apparent order, the Scion then returned his attention to Tsubaki.

"Status:..." its eyes flashed a peculiar color once more as it promptly scanned the vital signs of Tsubaki, before speaking once more, "Awake. Human. Body temperature 97.8 degrees. Heart rate... accelerating. Chances of this encounter ending in confrontation: 79%." The Blue Scion gave off what seemed like... a sigh before continuing, "Chances of your victory; scanning: 2%. Optimal situation is for you to surrender."

Hitting the butt of its weapon against the ground, it glared directly at Tsubaki as the sounds of the other Scions started to get closer and closer to the others. "What shall it be?"

Kael’valtar, The City of Soaring Hopes

"Now, now... this wont do... What kind of game of cat and mouse will this be if the cats are so blind and the mouses are so hidden?" smiling a bit, the Elf snapped his fingers and decided to let loose a couple of his familiars out into the streets. Normally, the Sentinels have poor eyesight, but with the special pets being released into the city, they are capable of seeing things that they normally wouldn't be able to.

The Watchers; little devious floating one-eyed critters with grinning mouths that love to stalk their targets from afar and from hidden areas. Capable of phasing through physical matter, they are the perfect scouting tools for any mage. Thanks to his research, however, the elf was able to link their sights with the Sentinels in order to further the security in Kael'valtar in dire situations... along with some entertainment purposes here and there.

Looking from corners, rooftops, alleyways, windows, and even peeking through walls themselves; the Watchers promptly kept their glowing eyes focused on the three humans- and the Sentinels promptly began to hasten their movements and move towards them now that they literally had 'eyes' all over the place.

Within the Mountains on Kormog

Ironbeard simply glared a bit, before sighing and taking a step forward. Despite what his companions might do in this situation, there really wasn't time for fighting and these folks didn't seem like they were all that bad either. Gripping Shill's hand and giving a hefty shake, the Dwarf nodded and looked towards Filip. "Humans, you are inside of Kormog, The Primal Titan of Earth. He's a living massive being that allows my kin to live in him as long as we clean out the parasites that dare to fester in him. Valeosh and his tribe have also recently moved in and decided to give us a hand, so they have been quite handy... though, he is still a bit wet behind the ears. We were on our way to awaken Doroth, The Primal Titan of Fire and enlist his aid before... uh, well, bring ye here so it seems."

"Ironbeard, how can you be so certain that they are the ones that the maiden and her master were to summon?" murmured the Orc as he walked forward and sniffed Shill.

"Call it a Dwarf's intuition, lad! Anyway, this, er, world, so to speak is probably a shocker to yer. This world be the wonderful Aurora... the land once ruled by the Six Saints and the great Maker themselves. Based on yer clothes I'd say this world is probably fairly different from your own."

"To have such luxurious and feeble things on one's personnel is rather-"

"Valeosh!"

"-interesting. Anyway, humans, we don't really have time for many explanations," the orc turned and pointed towards the ladder, "if you are who we assume you to be, take the ladder upwards till you reach the very top where the Maiden does her research. Once you meet her, she'll probably fill you in more than we possibly ever could."

The Plains of the Solemn Melodies

The gathering of the new trio on the plains that had the freshest of air was strange, yet they would feel as if they were not alone. Behind Shannon, stood a tall and almost ethereal figure... actually, to be more precise, calling him anything but would be hard to describe.

This... 'man' stood tall and proud over Shannon's shoulder, looking over the girl and her cellphone before pressing a few buttons on it with his long slender fingers. Despite his efforts, it was clear that there was no signal in this new world. Folding his arms and raising one hand to his face as if he was thinking, the man quickly leapt over Shannon in a very acrobatic fashion towards Rina and Valair only land before them.

Clasping his hands together he quickly reached into his pocket and took out what seemed to be a white and ornate conductor's baton. With a swift flick of his wrist, the strange man or creature formed a rune in the air that produced a cup, before quickly forming another rune where a small globe of water began to form. The globe of water then poured itself into the glass magically as if in response to the man's order. Taking a hold of the glass of water, he handed it off to Valair before placing his baton back into his tiny pocket... how it fit there was completely unknown.

The strange man then took a standing role before the three of them, before bowing slightly and standing upright, as if waiting to see what they would do... What a peculiar individual you three seem to have come across...
Alrighty!

Glad to hear we're still in this! I'll start working on a post later tonight!

Alright, so I finally was able to get things done and am free.

Although... with it being roughly a week since my last post and the high chance of people's interests having dwindled... I would like a roll call to see who is still here or not, and whether people are still interested in this or not and would like to continue this.
I really want to post now, but I'm not sure if it's okay'd for me to do so given my feedback from Gnar.

Go ahead and post Vita! Sorry X_X You're more than free to post, sorry if I didn't make that clear or anything

Also, little note to everyone, I'ma be a bit behind in things posting wise since some small troubles have been brewing (hence my short absences) but I'll get something up and running soon hopefully.
I'm here, waiting on some feedback from Gnar.

Sent a message to ya, Vita! I am terribly sorry for not getting back to you sooner! Bad GM is bad ;-;

And, hrm...

In light of how things are going, since I am currently in the midst of figuring out and writing a doctoral report (sort of? hard to explain really), my hands have been a tad tied for a couple days, and will continue to be till this afternoon. After that, however, I will be free for the upcoming days again... I have been thinking-

Perhaps I may be reopening the sign-ups to balance out the groups and get new-blood, maybe.

Thoughts?
