Oh my god, GIGATON is goddamn glorious.

Nina withdrew her arm from around Matsuri as they made their way to the Brave Court. Partially to give her some breathing room after being completely up in her space this whole time, but mostly because her arm was actually getting tired staying in place. She gave it a good roll and shoved it back in her pocket as she listened to the rest of the class and their quirks, sizing up what she’d have to compete with this year. So far, after Matsuri and Tatsumi, that Luca guy seemed like he’d be pretty impressive. She had to bet someone as meek-looking as him was hiding something away about himself.

As they entered the court she had herself a good look around at all the people still testing with an impressed look on her face. ”Oh man, I can’t wait to get going.” she thought out loud, her gaze turning up to check on the scores on display.
Hellsalem’s Lot - Shotaro and Philip

”Oh, well that’s because we got machines that can take care of it a bunch faster,” Shotaro informed Satori, ”I bet they keep a good amount stored up for busy hours, though.” With that bit of modern trivia out of the way, he headed over to the counter to pay up and get their order.

Philip had made his way over to the table after their order was taken and came into the conversation overhearing something about Saber. Aha, some leeway for explaining time! If they were taking a break now, Philip figured he may as well have his curiosity sated and asked Satori, ”Did you say something about many versions of other people?”

He took a seat opposite of her and continued, ”Well, if multiverse theory is true in regards to all of us, I imagine it might be the same for different iterations of the same person. I don’t believe it should matter too much for us, however.” His glanced curiously to Saber, ”Not unless we find ourselves in the fifth century…”
Whoooooop. Alright, hang on, I got something I can cook up. Post should be inboooound... Soon. Ish.

Listening to Matsuri explain her Quirk managed to cool Nina off. Her jab still got to her, but it’s not like she actually put much thought into it in retrospect. Maybe she should… But for now, she just nodded to Matsuri’s explanation and eased up on how hard she was leaning on her. ”So you’re like a bullet train without any tracks?” she asked. It sounded like an apt comparison in her head.

Her attention flew back to the center once she noticed they had stopped, and a grin grew on her face once she heard they’d be next up for Quirk Assessment. Finally! An excuse to put her Quirk into action without getting in trouble! Although… What sort of things could she use her Quirk on? Ah whatever, she’ll cross that bridge when they get there. For now, she listened to thuggy-looking guy she bumped into from this morning.

”Adrenaline rush?” Nina noted out loud, ”That sounds like a pretty hardcore Quirk.” She paused for a moment and then casually raised her hand, continuing, ”Oh, and I’ll go next I guess. I’m Nina Aiza, 15 years old. My Quirk can turn anything on my right arm into granite, and anything on my left arm into flexible sand.”

Nina let out another chuckle at how unexpectedly on the dot Matsuri was about her Quirk. She’d tell her later that her Quirk extended beyond her hands, but for now she turned them back to normal and stuffed them back into her pockets. Now on the listening side, she considered theming herself after something cool like a language as well. ”Staccato… Ain’t that, like, a music thing?” she wondered out loud. She didn’t expect that to jog Matsuri’s memory given how… air-headed the girl seemed, but her peppy attitude about it impressed her at least.

She was going to ask her what her Quirk was next, but politely held it in when she saw she had more to say. Some of her politeness went out the window, however, at that jab against her Hero name. She wrapped her arm around Matsuri again, rougher than the last time, and asked her, ”Maybe I do! Maybe I do. What’s your Quirk supposed to be then if you’re naming yourself ‘Red Staccato?’” Her tone was about as casual and reserved as before, but Matsuri could tell that there was some frustration lining it.

Nina was quick to follow into the appropriate seats alongside Matsuri and Tatsumi. She had her arms folded as she quietly listened to all the heroes make their introductions, but the moment they got into the actual orientation bit was the moment her attention started to drift. These kind of things were always so boring… It’s a shame that hero school didn’t make it any livelier. Unlike the other two she was sitting by, Nina pretty much immediately dozed off until it was over.

During the tour, Nina’s attention was still adrift, especially as Mr. Matsumoto started to explain the whole deal with the dorms. ”Yeah, yeah, boys in one lane, girls in another,” she thought to herself as she stuffed her hands in her blazer pockets, ”Don't matter to me. We gonna see anything cooler?”

A nice distraction from the snoozefest came in the form of the pink ponytail she bumped into earlier. Her disinterested expression immediately brightened when Matsuri came up to her, but before she could answer her first question she was interrupted by a second and third. Matsuri’s ball of pep made her chuckle, prompting her to raise her own hands up for her.

”I’m Nina. You can say my Quirk’s pretty… handy. She punctuated that by activating her Quirk. Granite encased her right hand from the wrist up, and her left hand seemed to morph into sand right before Matsuri’s eyes. Grinning, she clapped her sand hand against her granite hand, ”I was thinking of calling myself Sand Stone. What about you?”
Blake wasn't actually named in the list of people Richard managed to call in, and... I honestly have no clue what a school directory is in this context, but I imagine Blake wouldn't think to look it up either. So instead he gets to be weird about it and look for everyone the old fashioned way.
…Nothing. The news had nothing for him. Well, it’s not like he had any high hopes going into that venture at least. He shut off the TV for now and just laid back down on the couch to let his head cool down. ”What the heck did the ship do…” Blake thought to himself as he raised one of his hands up.

”If it’s not, like, anal probing-” a grimace wandered its way onto his face as he worriedly slid his hand under his ass to check, ”And god forbid I HOPE it’s not that,” he clenched his raised hand and scowled, ”Then what the heck was it?!” He tried to will something to happen… Anything! Thankfully for him it barely took five seconds for what he was looking for to happen.

Blake’s hand suddenly flashed! Well, more like there was a ball of light suddenly engulfing his hand. It involved an incredibly bright light bursting out to his dark-adjusted eyes so it blinded him all the same. ”ACK!” he cried out and covered his eyes. ”Wha- What was that?!” Blake sputtered out. ”Light?! I… Wait. Wait is that my thing? Did that ship give me—“ He blinked his blinded eyes open and looked at both of his hands again.

”That light came from me… Did I do the thing with the lights too?” He wondered out loud.

“What thing with the lights?”

Blake flinched and clammed up as he looked up to find his dad at the entrance to the living room, squinty-eyed and groggy. “Ahhh, I bet you still have a fever, hah!” he chided with a heavy Filipino accent, “Go back to bed now, I don’t want you getting sicker. Don’t go on that computer either!” The older man shook his head and started heading back to bed himself, “Bad for your eyes, bad for your head for too long, I keep telling you kids…”

Blake heaved a sigh of relief as he heard his dad’s voice trail off. Well, he’s busted. His dad’s word was pretty much law in the house, and he didn’t want to risk freaking his family out if they caught him messing with his newfound powers, so he decided to just retire to his room again. He may have slept for a whole day, apparently with a fever too, but he could go for a few more hours. The others would probably be up by then, so they could probably figure this all out together too!

The others. The… other people.

Who Blake isn’t well acquainted with.

It was a little hard convincing his parents he was completely okay to be moving around, but Blake managed it after he finished up some homework he had to catch up on. It took him until noon to do it, so he had some hustling to do if he was going to meet up with anyone. He may not have known the others well enough to know their phone numbers or where he lived, but that wasn't going to stop him from trying!4

He took his bike out (much to his surprise, he thought it was left behind given the story his parents gave him about coming home) and started pedaling out towards school. From there, he just made a giant guess on where the others lived. Sometimes he’d see people like Richard leave a certain direction from school, and so he just assumed he lived in that vague, general area.

…With a clue like that, sleuthing was going to be harder than he thought. Well, he’s already here, may as well try and check it out for himself anyway. He biked out from the school and headed in the direction of Richard’s neighborhood, hoping that he’d be able to recognize anyone from school on the way there.
Blake's just gonna be like
