A Corporate Rule NRP that's been under discussion since just before I joined, and I never noticed until now?
THIS will not stand!
Honestly, assuming y'all are still accepting applications, I actually have a couple different Megacorps from other RPs I've been part of I could use, but since I'd assume we can only go with one I'll lean towards Technocell Biotics(Machina Heavy Industries tends towards being a bit of a brute and you've apparently already got more than a few primarily PMCs). I do have a couple of questions, mostly regarding territorial boundaries before I get started on a app though. The first and most important one for me right now, is whether or not claimed territory needs to be continuous? The idea I had for Technocell would be that most of their land territory is along several different coastlines with a more decentralized power structure, maybe have the heads of the corporation itself residing on a flotilla.
The second question, mostly just to be certain I don't go overboard, is if there is any specific limit to how much actual territory we can claim? Like is there a particular number of provinces orrrr? Just would rather not blunder my intro into this by trying to claim a bit too much territory.

Apologies if these questions have been answered previously in the thread, I didn't see it in the opening post and...eleven pages is a fair bit to skim through.

EDIT:Derpaderp, I decided to take another look at the map and I guess Red there had a similar idea as me, considering they gobbled up a lotta islands and Greenland, Iceland, and parts of Europe. Second question still stands but if'n it IS in fact possible to be all maritime and wotnot then I have a couple places staked out in my mind.
Janice raised her goggles off from her eyes, inspecting her work. She was already a bit late to get going, truth be told(as the ringing egg timer furiously reminded her), but she wanted to make sure the last few adjustments were working right. She had a shipment of shielded vests and pulse batons for the MDU, as it was, which meant that as much as she needed to get going, she needed to make sure there weren't any defects more. The basic design wasn't hers, but she always made a couple of improvements in the process of manufacturing on the house...The Inspiration didn't come as easily for her while working off a blueprint, but small whispers came, finding small ways to improve efficiency and make a better product. The hard part was always filtering out the ones that she couldn't produce en-mass or would be too difficult for the troopers to maintain...but she felt this iteration was a good compromise between ease of maintenance and functionality. Now, all that was left was to pack everything up, throw that damned egg timer at a wall, and get going to make the delivery-according to the instructions, they should be gearing up in front of the PM's office.

The drive was fairly boring, if long. She'd debated just taking out her Jetwings to bypass all the traffic, but on a day like this the police would be enough on edge without worrying about identifying people flying around on jetpacks(also, the cargo was heavy and she hadn't quite worked out the kinks on that Hammerspace tote bag yet), so she'd have to make do with a hovertruck and get stuck in traffic for a while. Figures, holidays are always among the busier days of the year. Nevertheless, she slowly managed to inch across the byways and may have possibly taken a couple less than acceptable shortcuts through a alleyway or two, and cut off a couple of people with a probably-not-legal red-light left turn, but she made it only ten minutes later than the agreed upon delivery time and, fortunately for her, it looked like the good ol' minister was taking his sweet time as well. She found a place to park the truck and practically jumped out of the front seat before walking up to one of the troops with a smile on her face and laid back demeanor-she had enough goodwill built up with the police and defense departments from building equipment for them(sometimes at cost, no less) that she felt she could usually be casual dealing with them.

"'Evening boys and girls! I know I'm a bit late, but the new toys are ready. Don't suppose one of you can point me over to the officer on duty? I know they'll want to make sure to get the new inventory logged before I start unloading for you all to pass out the new vests."

I accept my newfound responsibility, and shall use this new power to subjugate the masses uh er I mean..."Help out"...Yes. Yes.
@blumenk It sounds good to me, although from what Easy Modo said I'm not quite sure if Britain's quite that stable anymore...Although I guess 'struggling to remain stable' means they haven't lost the fight into anarchy quite yet. So as far as I can tell it all checks out, althooouuuugh I'd hold off on tossing it into the Character tab juuust yet because I'm not absolutely certain if I'm officially a helper monkey for the thread or not yet. Better safe than sorry and all that. '>>

Personally, I don't think this type of game could work without involvement of Modern/Mundane World Governmental Entities(tm), even if they aren't the governments of our world necessarily, if that makes sense? The 'Modern' world might not necessarily be the world as we know it, after all, even if it conforms to our physics. At the very least though, there would be big questions about why, say, the United States(or w/e) wouldn't be interested in dealing with diplomatic relations with the new world and all that jazz.

I vote aye for various races, maybe leave exacts up to what people are willing to play(that is, if someone wants to play a nation comprised of hundreds of orcish tribes, then Let There Be Orcs!). Also in particular I vote aye for The Undead.
Mostly because I want to play The Undead.

Finally, silly Spooky Squid. Keebler 'Elves' are a misnomer. Clearly, they're beardless gnomes.
Definitely agreed there. I feel like a lot of things with this 'genre', for lack of a,better term, timeskip ahead because it's easier than playing out the initial chaos. But easier isn't always better, y'know?
A'ight, sounds good to me to be able to help out and wotnot. All shall fear my helper-monkey status. Ahahaha.
Wanted to give someone else an opportunity to ask first(also a bit nervous to be nominating myself on like. My second...Third? Day here on the board to begin with), but since nobody else seems to be biting unless they're asking in PMs...
I'm assuming the Co-GM spot is gonna be mostly for helping approve character sheets and helping moderate the thread rather than actively moving the story forward, aye?

EDIT: @easy modo, sorry, not used to tagging people in forum threads even if it is useful to help get someone's attention
