Valerian stood near the group, seemingly appearing out of nowhere. He turned to Jean.

"Jean, have you ever thought about leaving instead of dieing whilst taking down some vampires? One may be cowardice but it is the smarter option; you'd understand that. What if the vampires were to overpower you and instead of killing you they'd do what they did to Aya to you? Some might not think of vampirism as worse than death, but you definitely would. We should leave. All of us."

He paused momentarily, as if Lyn had spoken to him.

That guy with the chains was so weird, and Ferid referring to him as Father was even more weird. I get more and more confused as each new chapter comes out, xD.
