Which organ is it that makes cats so flexible? And can it be removed? I'm starting to have nightmares.

Bio

I prefer to write in the first person when not writing about/from a character, I am sorry if this may make me seem a bit obnoxious at times. So this is my bio, which means you are interested in finding out who or what Jyoliod is, even if it's just a fleeting moment of pure curiosity, or something to pass the time in-between posts. Either way, I shall indulge you, while also throwing my ego out there for the world of RPGuild to observe.

Jyoliod is, or rather, I am, a character on the stage of RPGuild playing the puppet master of (soon to be)various characters, eccentric, gloomy, thoughtful, harsh, annoying, these are all attributes I may throw into posts depending on the author's state of mind, yet I hope to hold a solid presence of familiarity that I can share with all of you. My goal is ultimately to enjoy my time while not disturbing the comfort of others here in the guild, in the guild I'm not only looking for various RP's to enjoy and craft, but also friends and discussions to partake in. Though, in this manner I can be quite submissive and enclosed, I'm not much of an extrovert so bare with me if you will.

I am always happy to have a discussion and I really enjoy learning new things, so if you're bored enough to have read this far, throw a topic at me in a PM and see where it goes. But enough of that, I'll throw out some more substantive stuff in regards to my RP out-look.

The Genre I like:
Horror
Fantasy/High-Fantasy
Action
Heavy Magic Emphasis
Science/Technology Emphasis
Modern
Slice of Life
Apocalyptic/Post-Apocalyptic

The Genre I'd like to try:
Diplomatic Emphasis
Sci-Fi
Mystery
Family

The Genre I tend to avoid:
Fandom

RP Style:
1x1
Casual/High-Casual
Advanced
Arena

I like:
An emphasis on detail, I have a structure complex and find it easier to post when a RP is well defined. However, I'd gladly jump into a free-for-all sandbox type RP just to let loose from time to time, but never as something I plan to or hope to do long-term. I like character development and creating personal quarrels to over-come as a character. I especially enjoy the idea of long-term RP's where the character not only develops mentally but also physically.

Gore is also something I enjoy incorporating into my posts, though I only use it in the proper context. It's an easy thing to detail but also has a lot of room to work with, you have so many areas you can choose to detail and such a post, pulled off correctly can easily contribute, quite powerfully, to the current atmosphere of the RP.

Other Stuff:
I am dyslexic, meaning when I read and write, words and letters can often be switched around or substituted for completely different words or letters. This is an issue I try to stay on top of , but if you go through a post and find the structure of words or letters to be mixed up, I'd be grateful if you informed me of this. I make it a habit to re-read my posts three or four times to combat this.

Sorry it took me awhile to post, not too sure how to jump into things as everyone seems tied up.
Not entirely adverse to the hitch hikers presence, Jinshi sped off in the direction of the other fighters. It was clear the motorcycle needed to be fixed by the vehicles loud churning. It wasn't long before his destination come into view, Jinshi pushed his vehicle harder when he noticed people were fighting.

A trail of thick dust following the harbouring slide of Jinshi's capsule 9 cycle sliding to a stop not far from the battle. He leapt off his motorcycle and assessed the scene before him, for lack of a better word things seemed, chaotic. Robot boy seemed to be holding his own and Jinshi wasn't even going to try and begin to comprehend the mages witchery, instead he focused on the Namekian fighting with the four armed alien. His imposing figure and stance seemed to belie a certain knowledge and skill, or so Jinshi assumed by the way he moved and fought.

However, it was clear the four armed alien wasn't one to be trifled with either. Jinshi shifting to position, waiting for an opening.
No need to be sorry, the insight is interesting. Australia is starting to have some similar issues in regards to treating education as a business, there has been a few protests recently in regards to how Australian politicians are viewing education. TAFE is similar to what you mentioned in regards to Adult Schools, Community Colleges, ect. in that you pay a sum and that will not guarantee you a degree, but until recently the sum was relatively cheap. Sadly though, it looks like that wont last and some degrees will be as expensive as $2,000 to try your hand at the one year course. Though I have not checked recently to see whether that was still a prominent probability or if it is already the case.

I remember reading that there was some concern in regards to the budget recently released by the prominent political party in Australia, some of it's figures indicated that in Australia, there were certain degrees you couldn't hope to pay off under the wages you'd earn for the most prominent profession of said degree. Which is honestly, quite disgusting. If that doesn't tell you there is something wrong with an education system, then what exactly can? It's sad to see knowledge as a commodity to be sold like one would sell clothes or a house.

I can understand the sentiment behind some of the detractors of the above point of views, but making education more expensive seems only to hinder more than it would help when you contrast where money could and should be shifted from, especially in Australia.

~ Also I'll be doing a post tomorrow, got some other topics chewing my time up tonight!
Approved, chuck it in the [CHAR] part of this thread like I have!

Vile

~Age~
19

~Appearance~
Leigh is 6'2" with a bulky athletic figure. His long straight hair is dark brown and sits tied back into a tight plat. He is fair skinned and wears slim metal grey clothing under his gear.

~Bio~
A humble hard working young man Leigh has worked with the hunter in his village for years learning the trade skill required to take care of the basic duties needed to keep the small village he called home safe. The duties in question were never anything particularly hard, protecting live stock during monster migration mostly and gathering monster and insect parts from weak monsters near by was most of Leigh's life. But once the ecosystems started suffering, so too did his village. Nearly entirely cut off from the outside world, Leigh has taken up the call of arms to be a true Monster Hunter in the hopes of helping not only his village but many others too!

Humble and calm, Leigh isn't one for showing off and tackles his work with light hearted dedication. Though sometimes his curious nature gets the better of him, he has a weak spot for Felynes.

~History~
There isn't anything extraordinary about Leigh's past, he grew up in a simple little village that lived off a near by forest rich with monsters and vegetation. From a young age Leigh's curious nature has bought him face to face with monsters on more than one occasion, his calm demenor and aptitude for stumbling across the creatures caught the attention of the local hunter who worked for the village, taking Leigh under their wing, Leigh helped to trap, hunt, skin and deal with the basics of Monster Hunting.

At age 16 he was given his own official position as a hunter in the village and put in charge of some basic duties to bring some extra income and prosperity to the village.

~Gear~
Leigh has an assortment of basic HP potions, Iron Lance and a beginner set of Blade Master armour.
The length is fine, don't worry about using any of my posts as a standard, I'll take quality over quantity any day. Though sometimes I get a bit carried away with my posts.

Monster Hunter : In the Shadow of Black Wings

Introduction

Welcome Hunter! You're about to embark on a journey unlike any other, in this sandbox style Monster Hunter fandom RP a mysterious new species of monster has been reaping havoc on several different eco-systems, even the eco-systems of water monsters! That of course means, trade and communication between several villages has become near impossible and it is up to you Hunter, to help fix this problem!

This RP will make use of the Monster Hunter species and maps found in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, if you are worried about spoilers in any of these two games, don't worry! The plot and characters will be entirely original content and I am not a fan of using already existing characters from the canon, that means all new NPC's! The creatures will be the same as well as various armour pieces and weapons, however, a level of customisation and your own spin on things is not only possible, but encouraged, so if you got a weapon idea, armour idea or even a new type of creature idea, feel free to share it!

Setting

As stated above, we'll be using the maps from the Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate games, I'll be adding links to maps and a bestiary of the maps as they become relevant or 'unlocked'. So keep your eyes peeled and check this section for when ever maps are unlocked.

But that's not all! What is one of the best features of Monster Hunter? If you said everything, you're correct, but in particular, the personal farms and locations to keep and train your Felyne friends! As we play through, we'll get to unlock our own custom HQ for farming, mining and Fishing and we'll also get to unlock a Felyne barracks in our HQ to train Felyne, send them on expeditions and adventures as well as to have them cook for us!

Plot

The plot in this RP will be geared towards a team effort, we'll plan out in the OOC what missions should be available to us, what we think we can handle and what we want to do, and then we'll act on it! Our ultimate goal is to kick what ever has started the chaos that is happening right in the butt! But along the way, we should tackle some short term goals that include re-establishing trade routes, making items and upgrading our gear! I don't want to put too much of a restraint on what we can and should do, as one of the best parts of Monster Hunter is its freedom! That said, we need to make sure we know what one another is planning and make sure we both have fun!

As is with traditional Monster Hunter fashion, we start of as lowly noob hunters with only basic training and just enough experience to be able to go out and start hunting the beginner creatures that exist out there!

Edits!

Sorry man, that's just what I gathered from it.

But no bodies perfect, maybe I'm reading into it more than I should be.

Regardless, I'm just letting my opinion be known as requested.
I'm sorry NacNak but it is 'metagamey' if one post indicates an ambush and your character suddenly has knowledge of that ambush in the next post.

Geoffrey's post indicated an attack that would hit on-coming players from mid air or the ground, yet in your post you flew over their ambush. This would make sense if you were trying to distance yourself and observe, but than you just jumped right in front of them, it seems as if you knew that you'd get attacked if you kept flying towards them normally so you went higher to avoid such. Which from your characters perspective, would be metagaming.

As for the whole ordeal, I'm of the traditional stance, GM's RP so GM's word is final. I support his decision in any regard unless I think he is being especially unfair, and in this case, I don't think he is.
