Pandora blacked out as soon as the plane hit the water. She managed to hit her head on the window and the rest of the crash was history. Her senses came to when she felt the rush of cold salt water hitting her face. The plane was sinking and she was still inside. All around her, she could hear screaming people. Pandora glanced over to her father who was impaled by some type of pole. She went into a panic.
"Papa! Papa!" She screamed as she clawed at her seat buckle. She broke free and the water was rising quickly. She cupped her fathers face in her hands.
"Papa!" She screamed once more, her mouth filled with salt water. She knew it was too late and she didn't have the time to respect his soul or else she would be dead too. She took a quick gasp of breath and went under, trying to find an exit. It was nearly impossible to see as the water was stained red with blood and there were floating bodies everywhere. A red Exit sign still shone through the water and she escaped through the door and swam toward the surface. She felt as if her lungs were going to give out and she took a huge gasp of breath once she broke through, only to be interrupted by a large wave that crashed over her. She tumbled in the water, loosing sense of which way was up. All she could do was kick. Once again she tried to swim to the surface for air but another wave crashed down on her. Bubbles blocked her view, but she could still see the shadows of dead bodies now taking the ocean as their final grave. Pandora couldn't seem to fight the waves and current and she was now to weak to try. The water stung her eyes and her lungs as she swallowed more and more of it. Finally, yet again, she blacked out. She was close enough to the island though that the current washed her body ashore, only a few meters off from where the small group have assembled.
Rose and the soldier pushed their way through the bush just in time to see the brawl between the other soldier and the civilian. She watched in shock as the soldier twisted the mans arms and threatened to break them. A gasp escaped her lips and the soldier that had escorted her shook his head in disappointment.

"Jesus. Not again.."

"Not again? You mean.. this happens often?"

"More often than it should. Everyone is so high strung since the infection started, people are a lot more hostile now. It's to be expected though." He must have sensed Rose's hesitation and tried his best to comfort her by placing his hand on her shoulder. She shot him a glare and awkwardly stepped away. "Uh, yeah. You'll be fine. Come on, let's get you checked in."
He lead her past the man who was now on the floor holding his arm. Rose tried her best not to make eye contact. They stopped in front of a table that had two soldiers on both sides holding a rifle, a nurse, and a man with a clip board. Before Rose could say anything, the nurse quickly went to work inspecting her.

"Have you been bitten?"

"No."

"Raise your arms." Rose raised her arms.

"Now lower your arms. Spread your legs. Bring them together. Open your mouth. Shut your mouth. Touch your toes."

The woman was ordering her so quickly that it looked like Rose was doing some mad dance.

The nurse stared into Rose's eyes for a long while, an uncomfortably long while before scuffing. "She's clear sir."

"Name?" The mans voice was raspy and deep, as if he was dehydrated.

"Excuse me?"

"Name, what's your name?"

"Rose... Rose White."

"Alright, you're good. Go on in, find yourself a tent."

"You can't assign me to one?"

"Look behind you girl, there's a whole line of people waiting to get in, I don't have time to look for a tent for you."

Rose sighed as her social skills were going to be put to the test. It seemed as if every tent was already taken. She found a stole to perch herself on and examine the camp before settling down. There were a lot of people wandering, searching, and crying. It was madness in a very small place.
I'm excited to get started!
Rose pushed her way through bushes. She decided that walking was probably her best bet to getting to the military camp. She had gotten a ride from a group of survivors earlier in her travels and they drove her most of the way, but that ended quickly when they had a run in with a few infected. She was now alone and scared, but knew that her only chance was to make it to that military camp in Pendleton. She did not walk along the road, for she knew that people would travel on the road and it would be more dangerous. From what she was able to pick up, the infected's sense of hearing was great and they would be drawn to the sounds of tire on pavement.

Her only choice of navigation was the sun, and as long as it shone on her back, she was most likely going in the right direction. A loud rumbling sound shook her out of her deep concentration and a plane flew over head. She watched it as it dove down and disappeared. The sound of the plane must of stirred near by infected because the woods behind her started to rustle and come alive.

"Shit! No, not now." Rose jumped back as a hand shot out, followed by a chomping pair of teeth. She took no time to hesitate and bolted in the direction that she was heading a quickly as she could. Her legs were screaming at her to stop, but her adrenaline kept her moving. Rose ran as hard as she could until she couldn't hear the growling anymore. Finally, she just had to stop. Panting heavily, she placed her hands on her knees and tried her best not to vomit. Another rustling in the bush pushed her into a panic mode. She quickly grabbed her dual machete off her back and prepared herself to attack what ever was going to attack her first.

A rife poked out of the bush, followed by a soldier. He quickly aimed it at her face. Rose dropped her machete and raised both hands in the air. "Are you lost?" Said the soldier. His voice was raspy and monotoned, she was unable to tell if he had good intentions or not. "I'm looking for Pendleton." "Are you alone?" She nodded, sadly. Even though it is much easier for her to travel alone, she wished she had someone with her. Facing the end of the world was scary, it's a lot scarier when you're alone.

"Follow me then, Pendleton is right past these woods." Rose let out a sigh of relief as it felt as if a weight was lifted off her shoulders. She scooped up her machete and followed close behind the soldier to the camp.
Name: Pandora (Panda) Kyte

Age: 18

Height and Weigh: 5'1 115lbs

Personality: Panda is a quiet nature lover. Raised in the believe of Paganism, she can be classified as a "witch". As a naturalist, she knows many remedies and has many survival skills and plant knowledge. She is also extremely spiritual and crafty. Pandora can be a bit sensitive when it comes to killing things and always remembers to offer her thanks to nature. When it comes to interacting with other people, she has her limits. She is the quiet observing type and is not one to easily trust. Once she builds bonds though, they are as strong as they get.

History: Born and raised in Wales, Pandora was raised in a very close nit family like community. All of her family were strong in their beliefs and practices in witchcraft and lived off of the land and their own farms, barely going into towns for supplies. She was homeschooled and growing up in such a small community, she is a bit culturally deprived. Panda's mother was a tailor and her father was a sheep herder. She lived in a small hut with two other brothers and another sister. Pandora was suppose to take the place as the town herbalists and was studying with the elder before the raid.

Panda and her family were forced out of her home when the rebels came in and took the town over. They had no where else to go but to the states, where they had distant friends that were exploring. The plan was to pack up their closest belongings and move out to the states to start over new. Due to their lack of money, the family was split up in between flights. They had to board separate planes and had planned to meet up at the landing place. Pandora boarded on the plane with her father, and watched him die before her eyes ad the plane crashed. She also had her cat, Dye, which was in the luggage compartment. It is unknown if he is still alive.

Belongings: She had a fur knapsack that held a notebook, a green candle, and a canteen. Around her neck, she wears a whistle. She brought her cat, but it is unknown where he is.

Fear: Panda does not have a phobia to it, but she has a great deal of respect for fire. She understands that it is crucial to life but it is unpredictable and the most destructive thing of nature. She is fine around camp fires but anything more than that is bound to send her into a panic. Relative to this fear, she has a great fear of storms. Specifically lightning.

Excitement. All the potential is just flowing.
Oh! I've been thinking about something like this for a while! Count me in! :D
Name: Rose White

Age: 19

Appearance:
Gender: Female

Family: Rose was sent to live with her aunt, Sandra, after her mother and her father had a divorce and her mother tried to kill her. At her aunt's house, she lived with her cousin, Jimmy, and their Welsh Sheepdog, Jack. Sandra was the first to get infected in the house and killed off her son while he fended her off so Rose could escape.

Personality: Before the outbreak, Rose was a shy timid girl. She rarely spoke up to anyone and often spent much time alone. She appreciates music and will stop to play her guitar at any chance possible. After the outbreak, she began to find her courage, she would have to if she wanted to survive. Being an avid climber, and small enough to fit through tough places, she has been able to survive the outbreak by sticking to rooftops and scavenging what she could. Rose does not trust easily, after having a few heavy run in with other survivors, she seems to fear the non-infected as much as she does the infected.

Bio: Rose had a normal childhood. She had a mother and a father that loved her and would give her the world, but it all changed after the divorce. Coming home from school one day, she caught her father in bed with her nursing trainer. They were "discussing her progress" as they tried to justify it. After the divorce, her mother was not the same. She stood in her room for weeks on end. Rose was always there to take care of her as best she could. Even though she knew it wasn't her fault, she couldn't help but to feel a little bit guilty about the ordeal. If Rose wasn't taking care of her mother, or studying, she was outside climbing. Free running was something that she always watched the boys doing around the city and she admired them for it. Feeling a bit embarrassed of being a girl, she took the liberty to teach herself how to do so, spending all the time that she could practicing it.
One day, when Rose was trying to feed her mother, the woman lost it and tried to strangle her. After that, Rose's mother was put in a mental institution and Rose was sent to live with her Aunt, Sandra. While living with her aunt, Rose continued her studies to become a nurse. She always wanted to help people and had great interest in health. Everything came to a dead stop though when Sandra came back home hungry for fresh and began to feed on her only son.

Job Before The Outbreak: Studying to become a nurse.

Disability/Fear: Her biggest fear is being left alone.

Weapon of Choice: With a long pole, two machete's, and tape, she crafted herself a dual sided machete that she always carries on her back. She also has a small knife that is hidden away in her boot.
Aw :D Got through by a nose.
Hope you still have some room as I am interested in what you are tossing up here.
What really caught my eye is Spirited Away, The Purge, and Skyrim.
I am super curious as to how any of these could go and am more than happy to do one with you! I do post pretty consistently. I also like to keep my partner updated on any posting issues and what not. So yeah, let me know if you are interested.
